Question for the Blog

I always heard the story that Great Sasuke was brought in to represent the new WWF Light Heavyweight championship.  But during his matches with Taka Michinoku, the company felt Taka out shined him and felt he was worthy of the belt and changed their plans.  But recently I heard a new story that Sasuke was bragging to the Japanese media about how he would only defend the belt in Japan and never drop it on WWF TV.  As a result, the WWF changed their plans with Sasuke and gave the belt over to Taka.

Which story is true?

The first one.  The intention was for Sasuke to be the focus of the division, and Taka got over bigger and worked cheaper as a bonus.

  1. Unless Dixie's dad is using TNA to launder money (not impossible) there is no way. What are they spending 7 million dollars on? Not the talent. Not the production values. I can't imagine that's true.

Also I was trying to find you a good old school elvylanda thread but I thought you'd enjoy this. Theres a real fight between stixxy and brak attack in there.http://rspwfaq.livejournal.com/169944.html

  2. TNA has that as well, it's just so small by this point.

and at one point, TNA even had its own "identity": back when the had the x division was important, the knockouts were getting featured in a meaningful way, tag team wrestling got its spotlight etc.

  3. Now that I look at it, HBK's fall in the Hell in a Cell match was pretty damn safe. The place he was standing was no higher than the top turnbuckle.
