Comments

  1. Now it's the Fall? First on launch day, next it was Summer, now it is Fall. They have all the stuff done already for 24/7. I hope WWE takes a huge hit with subscribers leaving in August because all they've done is lie.

    ReplyDelete
  2. The Fall for Monday Night Wars?

Fuck that, I'm signing up for UFC Fight Pass instead.

    ReplyDelete
  3. You expect WWE to do anything other than lie?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Or maybe they'll get suscribers to renew BECAUSE they're saving it for the fall? Like really, quit acting as if you got ripped off, they've offered a ridiculously huge amount of content for $10 a month.

    ReplyDelete
  5. That's right, it's OK to lie to your customers and investors, as long as the substitute is still really awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think that Is their strategy. They need to do all they can to retain subscribers.

    ReplyDelete
  7. And Kyle O'Reilly firmly establishes himself as my generation's Davey Richards!

    ReplyDelete
  8. What's my price?

    ReplyDelete
  9. You get to keep the machine, just like George got to keep the Frogger machine. Just be careful moving it.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Fair enough, but I guess my question is what did Vince and his team think Lawler would do with the trash can. I mean, he's an old school, Memphis guy, you give him a prop like that, and you think he isn't going to use it?

    ReplyDelete
  11. They may have; I'm not sure. I think I remember reading that Vince had a really good relationship with whomever was running USA during the Attitude era.

    ReplyDelete
  12. When did they say launch day?

    ReplyDelete
  13. It's the Rise and FALL of the Monday Night War(s)! WOHOOOOOOOOO! *highfive*?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Yeah, I don't see what the huge overreaction is. And I don't recall them stating this show would be available launch day.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Serge missing the first two games shows just how flawed a team the Thunder is. You have two of the best ten players in the game and that's what you do in the Western Conference Finals? Yikes.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Seems like one to the hundreds of thousands of people who they were counting on to sign up and then didn't.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I don't. I enjoy the Network too much.

    ReplyDelete
  18. What I would pay for the rumble and mania alone in HD is more than a year of the network

    ReplyDelete
  19. hmm, I seem to still be missing SNME, any of the WWF syndicated shows, any of the WCW syndicated shows, Primetime, SMW, AWA, some of the Raws, lots of the ECW shows, some of the WCCW, etc. For someone who never ordered the ppvs, I'm paying 10 bucks for older content. At a certain point I run out of WCW ppvs to catch up on.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, there was a point in 1996 where you could definitely see they had something there. It just took them a while to find their groove.

    ReplyDelete
  21. So, is this Monday Night Wars a brand new, not yet finished, product, or something they've had done for quite a while? Because if it's the later, that makes it even more inexcusable.

    ReplyDelete
  22. I still have to catch up on Arrow. I'm going to give 24 a few episodes to develop and marathon it.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Couple thoughts (outside of Vince Jordan being a complete douche). Do we think they are merely delaying it to try and sucker people into signing up for 6 more months or are they filming a bunch of talking heads for each week's "battle" and possibly doing a pop up video style thing? Either way it is probably a mistake IMO. I really have no interest in hearing Steve Lombardi give his thoughts on the Monday Night wars and the timing of when they put it up should be interesting. If they put it up one week before the renewal, I think people get pissed and feel like they have been gamed. At the same time if they wait until after the renewal, advertising it as a reason to renew, I think they lose a lot of people as well. I would suggest they would be better off putting it up atleast 4-6 weeks prior to the renewal date. Give fans a chance to see it is there and get into watching it, but don't make people feel like they were getting yanked around.

I know many folks around here talk about the easy savings on the network vs. 2 ppvs and I get that, but I also suggest that the absolute EASIEST subscribers to keep around are the ones who do care about older content. The stuff is already paid for and in many cases sanitized for our protection from 24/7. Get it up and make people happy. While putting up SMW or AWA probably won't get you a single new subscriber from the current WWE universe, it may very well keep some existing folks who aren't really into the current product but love the old content.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I know! I was so looking forward to the duel between Prince Oberon and the Mountain. I've read the books so I know what happens but can't wait to see how they portray it...

    It's the fantasy world's Wrestlemania!

    ReplyDelete
  25. I am anxiously awaiting the inclusion of the WWF syndicated stuff. I know that seems like a strange thing to wait for, but that's my childhood, folks!

    ReplyDelete
  26. that is what I'm wondering. Are they adding a bunch of talking head commentary? Pop up video style soundbites to tell us about what was going on in the world each week? Even at that it couldn't take more than a few weeks to get that stuff together. It's not like you have to get the talking heads to watch every episode. Just remind them of the key events and let them make a soundbite. I can't imagine they are going to have a 30 minute roundtable discussion of each and every week. Even for the diehards like me that would be a bit over the top.

    ReplyDelete
  27. no spoilers!!!!! I have only read the first book. Started the 2nd and just got bored. But I loved the TV show. Strangely enough I am a huge sci-fi/fantasy fan, but Martin's books just didn't really grab me.

    ReplyDelete
  28. so torture is in again?

    ReplyDelete
  29. that is the fun though!! you watch the weekly shows and then hit the ppvs. I so wish I could be watching the WCW saturday night shows in between Clash and WCW ppvs

    ReplyDelete
  30. Oops, sorry!

After watching the first season, I couldn't wait to see what happened next so I binge-read all the books.

    ReplyDelete
  31. why promise 1 million subscribers or double TV money? It's WWE

    ReplyDelete
  32. I actually loved 1-3, but if you got bored at the second book. You were in for a world of hurt for 4 and 5. I liked them and they were still, for lack of a better word, a slog.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Slog is a good word for books four and five.

    ReplyDelete
  34. For me, whether or not i renew is going to be that older content you're talking about. I was jazzed to watch some world class at first, but was frustrated that they would go and skip weeks at a time, and now they haven't even added anything new in weeks. Checking out the old ECW would be fun too, but I see two or three episodes skipped at a time and I don't even want to bother.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm actually downloading a big old file of ECW TV from 93 through 98 just so I can watch the missing episodes.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Because they're not lying about it coming out?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hold that 10 for Johnny B. BadMay 26, 2014 at 9:36 AM

They didn't promise those things though. Part of the fun of anything is having something to look forward to- to keep you excited about it. That being said, I'm a 30 something. I understand that "Generation Me" is a little more demanding.
Until then, I'll keep enjoying the parts of the current content I don't have enough time to watch anyway, and then when they drop SNME or Superstars or Nitro or Wrestling Challenge or whatever, I'll get excited again.

    ReplyDelete
  38. um I'm 40 dude.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Hold that 10 for Johnny B. BadMay 26, 2014 at 9:39 AM

That's the real crux. I could not care less that we're waiting for it, but they were advertising it. The people looking forward to it have a right to be angered.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I believe they are adding insight from those who were involved during that period. It is different than the segments from Classics on Demand

    ReplyDelete
  41. Torture never went out.

    ReplyDelete
  42. and again, what I looked most forward to was watching the weekly build to ppvs. That's why having the older shows would so cool. Right now I can do that with Raw and that era but not with WCW or earlier WWF stuff. ECW is missing a bunch of weeks as is WCCW (although the WCCW stuff just isn't doing much for me, hard to believe guys like Checkmate, Al Madril, and Bugsy McGraw were featured week after week).

    ReplyDelete
  43. maybe. I dont know. 24 seems like one of those shows of a certain era (like What's happening Miami Vice, or Family Ties). During the Bush years when folks were all gungho about that stuff it worked, but we shall see if it still does

    ReplyDelete
  44. his "selling" of the beatdown by Mo and Mabel is great, too.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I had the nerve to imply that he was overreacting a tad. That makes me an uber douche I guess!

    ReplyDelete
  46. And my iPad crashes.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I think they could have gotten a lot more out of the roster they had in 1995 if they had just booked them in a different way.

besides the guys that got over in the WWF at a later time (although obviously not everyone to the same extent) like Hunter or Bob Holly you also had several guys like Hakushi, Jean Pierre Lafitte, Skip or Rad Radford - many of which could have been a lot bigger deal if they were only portrayed differently.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Hmm, Wars rolls off the tongue better.

    ReplyDelete
  49. true. While I would love more content, skipping episodes and shortened house shows are my two biggest pet peeves.

    ReplyDelete
  50. naah, the douche judgement is for many, many posts over a period of time, not just today.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Bret Hart was just amazing in his 1995 "you really think that big guy deserves the top spot over me? I'll show you!"-mode (similar to the same way he stepped up in 1993).

he seemed determined to turn every televised match (and that's literally every match) he was into something good or at least watchable.

    ReplyDelete
  52. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SY8Bd9vNVbU

funny that they seem to be "rationalizing" this gimmick although it is just his debut ("it just an extension of his personality").

    ReplyDelete
  53. If WWE delivered everything on Day 1 - All PPVs, Clashes, SNME and syndicated TV shows, plus some of the new content - everyone here would be complaining that they didn't leave anything for renewals in 6 months.

WWE is officially at a point where they can't win with the hardcores (definitely not with BoDers).

    ReplyDelete
  54. yeah, because everybody agrees on every rating...

    ReplyDelete
  55. The Heroes of World Class documentary dvd is only $5 today at Highspots. They've got a lot of $5 deals today, some crap, some great. If you haven't seen the Heroes of World Class documentary yet, check it out.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Self high five!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I am obviously gonna upvote that! *upvote*

    ReplyDelete
  58. Ah, so my body of work has not gone unnoticed. Cool!

    ReplyDelete
  59. I don't think they're trying to sucker anyone into a renewal. It's a business strategy to keep people paying.

They said from the beginning that they were going to stagger the addition of content, which is what they've done. SNME is coming this summer. Monday Night Wars comes after that.

They'll likely have a bunch of content added right before renewals come up, much like any similar business would do. I really don't see what the problems are, outside of a "I want it now" mentality.

FYI, no daily network thread today because:

    1. I sleep in on holidays.
    2. It's a WWE Countdown marathon.
    3. I sleep in on holidays LATE.

You sonofabitch! Now where will those dozens of posts go?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'd rather guess that certain people complain about other shows not being online ("where is all the Mid-South stuff they own?").

    ReplyDelete
  63. Stranger in the AlpsMay 26, 2014 at 10:44 AM

You mean doZEN. I'll assume the "s" is a typo.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Magoonie NOT Teddy BelmontMay 26, 2014 at 10:44 AM

Agreed, I've been saying the same thing since day one. They need to make sure they're are enough resubscribers every six months for at least the first few billing rotations. I'm fine with the rate that things are coming out and I dunno, it's nice looking foward to something and/or being surprised when something pops up like Clash. We have EVERY PPV, that has to be enough for now.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I doubt I've watched 5 percent of what's available on the Network, watching things slowly when I get a chance.

Every time they add something new, it's further behind that I am.

    ReplyDelete
  66. How are we as fans supposed to know what to expect from the Network, though? They give no communication on any of this stuff. Some shows are released close to daily (like the early RAW), some sporadically while skipping weeks (like WCCW and ECW), some on a regular schedule on the live stream (like Legends House and NXT) and then some are just dumped into the vault all at once (like Clash of the Champions). And it's OUR fault for getting upset when we can't figure out their wacky release schedule?

    ReplyDelete
  67. btw: hasn't there been this report that the numbers of subscribers was at about half a million until right before WrestleMania.

that would reinforce the claim that there is no such thing as just ONE renewal point.

    ReplyDelete
  68. actually I think it kind of is.

    ReplyDelete
  69. you expecting it doesn't mean they ever literally promised any of that, did they?

    ReplyDelete
  70. "We have EVERY PPV, that has to be enough for now."

Clearly, that is not the case for some particuarly bitter people on here.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I think that would be awesome (although I too don't really expect them to do it)... just have a roundtable of three "WCW guys" and three "WWF guys" and let them discuss each weeks episodes (you could easily rotate participants to make it more interesting by also putting some focus on something other than the "main feuds", for example by bringing in two mid- or undercard workers as well).

    ReplyDelete
  72. has anyone watched more than maybe 25% of what's available?

(serious questions: are there that many people here that have already watched nearly all Raw episodes, most of the ECW stuff, hundreds of ppvs etc?)

    ReplyDelete
  73. This should be the subtitle: 24: Second Verse, Same as The First.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryMay 26, 2014 at 11:26 AM

At least Kyle has some personality. And isn't Davey Richards this generation's Davey Richards?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Honestly, as a Netflix subscriber, I'm used to it. I never know what they're posting or when. And it's more egregious with them, because I used to be able to go to certain sites to see what was coming up, and the company charged their algorithm so I can't do that anymore.

As far as I can tell, in the last few months, WWE has added more content to the Network than Netflix has to its streaming site. I don't know if it's any better in Canada, but I'm more likely to can Netflix than the WWE Network.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 11:28 AM

Just spoke to Bayless. You can post your belt.

    ReplyDelete
  77. " And it's OUR fault for getting upset when we can't figure out their wacky release schedule?"

Well yes, it IS your fault for getting upset, because if they never promised a set schedule, you shouldn't have any expectations about it. If you do and you're angry because it's not your expectations, then that's on you, not them.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Just one big lose lose situation.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 11:29 AM

In all honesty, I wonder how much the subscriptions would spike if the shoed the PPV where Owen died? I know it doesn't show his actuall death but there is such a stigma about that show I'm sure people are curious.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Now Bayless, this is what I consider a slow news day.
    BTW, Happy Memorial Day everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  81. That PPV is on the network, just with the fall edited out. Or are you saying they should leave his death in?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Reading the book is dubious knowing.

They've cganged stuff so much I can hardly recognize Jaime's character.

Plus, where the fuck is cold hands

    ReplyDelete
  83. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 11:32 AM

I don't have the network so I wouldn't know. But yeah. Leave the whole thing intact.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 11:33 AM

    Sure:

    http://oi59.tinypic.com/dvh4dg.jpg

Tonight I'll do a follow up post with the belts. The B+ belt is will be posted when Bayless says so.

    ReplyDelete
  85. See, I was trying to be a bit more diplomatic with my response...

    ReplyDelete
  86. Then WWE shouldn't be upset if some subscribers cancel until they are sure the content they specifically watch is actually on the Network.

Do you feel the same about WWE potentially (likely?) cycling content off of the Network without a clear schedule/warning?

    ReplyDelete
  87. :laughs till tears come out:
    That's beautiful!
    Great job!

    ReplyDelete
  88. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 11:36 AM

Thanks. Tag belts are next but since no one really cares about Tag Team wrestling I can take my time..

    ReplyDelete
  89. Did they ever say they were cycling stuff off the Network? Has that been brought up at all as a possibility in any of their investor calls?

I'm honestly asking because I don't follow as closely as I should, But I never heard that as a possibility.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Yeah, just like in WWE, no one cares for the tag champs.

    ReplyDelete
  91. I haven't heard about it officially either.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryMay 26, 2014 at 11:40 AM

Seeing as how we don't even get booked for Raw, yeah, I think you can take your time.

  95. Stranger in the AlpsMay 26, 2014 at 11:42 AM

The BoD Writing Champion has changed his avatar. He is....a "paper" champion, if you catch my drift.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Honestly, I'm sure WWE doesn't give a shit. And why should they at this point in time? They have three more months before renewals kick in. If things go south in August, then we'll see if things are really all that dire, but for right now, they have close to 700,000 people locked in until August or September.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I don't know, but Michael Cole does compare it to Netflix, which, as your posts indicate, does cycle content on/off without warning. Given that WWE owns most content, it might not be as much of an issue unless it thinks it can save money by pulling shows that have few viewers.

And it was primarily meant in response to the expectations post, and I just wanted to know if he and others on his side would feel the same way if content is removed without warning as they appear to do about not having a schedule for adding content.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 11:45 AM

Maybe they think they'll see something extra.

    ReplyDelete
  99. I loved the Star War. It was far better than the Clone War. Which from what I remember was really just a gladiator event and beheading some...*shudders*...younglings.

  104. Depending on how many seasons Books 4 and 5 are going to take, I don't think you have anything to worry about re Cold Hands.

I think you could get through both books in a season a piece, however I've heard they're breaking it up into 3 seasons. Can you imagine?

I don't think this is a spoiler, but that would make 3 years of Sam on a boat for example. I shudder at the thought.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Hey Bonzai Dave, Spurs got robbed last night bro.

    ReplyDelete
  106. If they start cycling stuff off without warning, then I think I might have more of an issue with the Network, and may reconsider my subscription. But with no announcement that they may even consider doing that, I think it's negative speculation to urge on the people who seem to be hell bent on bashing the Network.

    ReplyDelete
  107. They're probably holding that stuff off for a third or fourth cycle of renewals.

    ReplyDelete
  108. 1994 professional was pretty awful between the big two. Imagine where we would be if there is no steroid scandal forcing new stars, Bischoff gets WCW control, Hogan and Savage jump to WCW, Hall and Nash jump ship, Hogan turns, nWo is born, Stone Cold is born, DX arrives, Montreal Screw-job, Vince comes out as evil owner......
Where the fuck were we heading? Wrestling was SO AWFUL and went to very fucking spectacular in a few short years. Yah there's more reasons why, but damn did we ever get LUCKY with them Monday Night Wars saving wrestling.
Oh and to a degree killing it, with the death of WCW and ECW, effectively creating a watered down monopoly that has been stale for a decade now.
What I leave out? Rock, maybe Goldberg.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Glad O'Riley finally got the belt.

Love Adam Cole, one of the best heels in the business, but 17-18 months as world champ is just too damn long for me

    ReplyDelete
  110. They should totally make a press release saying that. That'll help their PR situation.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Although Netflix also has the benefit of 30 million subscribers and a greater amount of goodwill with the customer base built up, so things like cycling out content and raising their price $1 are less of an issue for them. WWE is in a much more precarious position from a public relations standpoint, obviously.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Looks great on you.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I agree with your main point, although like I said, they have less and less goodwill with me with each passing month.

WWE has a lot more goodwill with me with the Network at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Better not look like the pennies WWE calls tag titles.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Isn't that reaction a little excessive? I mean, we're at the point now that they're advertising the location of the following year's WrestleMania BEFORE the current year's event has even taken place. As noted by others, saying "this thing is coming in the future!" is nothing unique. And for that matter, saying "This thing is coming next May" and then not delivering it until next December is fairly common in the entertainment industry. Titanic -- one of the most successful films of all time -- was supposed to premiere in July of 1997 but didn't actually get released until December of that year. This is not unusual.

    ReplyDelete
  116. These matches would have been good for a Superstars or Wrestling Challenge, but for a Summer Slam??? Where were stars like Tatanka, Bam Bam, Bulldog, Luger, Owen, Crush, Adam Bomb, Head Shrinkers, Sid, Jeff Jarrett and so on?

    ReplyDelete
  117. I found it really strange that they released all the Clashes at once. I kinda thought they might stretch it out a little.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Ron was so good. Poor Lee Marshall having to follow him. His indignant reactions to that dastardly Nick Bockwinkel were just right, without the Crockett/McMahon hysterics.

    ReplyDelete
  119. That's where the Unstable shines!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Things weren't as quality-controlled then, probably less so with Vince not there. It's possible they didn't even know the segment would get physical.

    ReplyDelete
  121. IMO they're not using the live feed to its potential. The Clashes could have been streamed over several Thursdays to hype them up and keep people watching. If WWE want people to give the Network good word of mouth to friends they might be better advertising and showcasing their content.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I've been watching all the 1999 WWF ppvs in a row and other than the insanity of the constantly changing storylines the one thing that jumps out to me is his how many jobs the big show does. Sure its never clean but I've watched the first 7 out of the 14 shows and hes never come out on top of anything.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I was personally looking forward to the Monday Night Wars show. I envisioned each episode taking on a 4-8 week period with all of the major moves, counter programming, and talking heads discussing each company's mindset. Then, they'd show a match or two from the time period.

If they are hellbent on making the network a success, WWE should be focusing on keeping customers happy. A smooth operation will satisfy customers, increase positive word of mouth, and impress new and potentially new (via free trials) fans/customers. But the arguments remain the same:

    1. Deliver on what was promised four months ago, including the Monday Night Wars show.
    2. Start showing Prime Time and WCW Saturday Night. Is this a case of fans asking for too much? Maybe. But I'm surprised that it's a damn near unanimous demand or craving from long time fans. No matter what message board, blog, or podcast you listen to, those are the two shows people mention first. It could still take years to roll out the full catalog of these shows and people would still be happy that a couple of shows are released each week. Make it happen and create wrestling heaven.
    3. As Scott was saying, maintain a schedule and post announcements. There have been times when the schedule didn't go past five or ten days. That's kind of sad. It's also kind of depressing knowing that it's likely a bare bones operation.

    ReplyDelete
  124. You're glad he got the belt. Oh, really?

  125. BoD RAW tonight at its NEW 10:35 EST start time!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  126. Fwiw on 24/7 the Monday night wars show was just an episode of nitro and raw from the same week shown back to back with Michael Cole doing an intro.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Their preview of the show several months back seemed to imply there would be plenty of talking head segments, too, for this go around. I think they showed HHH and Taker talking about things.

  128. He must have started that award after Gene Anderson retired. Legend in the ring, infamously garbage manager.

  129. But is it worth $400 in illegitimate e-book currency and $2 off of a "pick two" at Panera Bread?

Check out the avatar. It was just the belt earlier, but I changed it to The Stranger HOLDING the title.

  131. Next WWE press release: "50000 ghouls have just suddenly purchased the WWE Network!"

  132. The ECW one is frustrating because you don't have the supercards until they hit PPV in '97. I tried working my way through '94 and got up to the Sandman/Dreamer cane blinding angle which was beautifully done...then they skip like three weeks of TV and suddenly they're both in different feuds. I'm left pissed and wondering how the blow-off unfolded because I wasn't a fan of ECW until early '96.

  133. They're still winning in 6.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I don't think people are bitter. They're frustrated because in certain instances, like the ECW Hardcore TV show, there are large gaps in time that make it hard to follow the show from episode to episode.

    ReplyDelete
  135. With all the stock nonsense, I just pray the network sticks around and that the price doesn't go up.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Which is what the "new" show will so be.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Maybe even in 5. They can't be stopped in the West.

  138. Is there a place to find this? E-mail it to pgafan15@yahoo.com if so (since I know you can't post the link here).

Nah, I was inspired by the old UWF belts. The BoD belts have a similar design. I HATE how all the belts in the WWE are so different from each other.

Why so early? Does the last hour of WWE RAW bore you that much?

    ReplyDelete
  141. It'll give people something to look forward to if the show is bad.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I'd assume the Network is safe until at least the first international rollout. If numbers are still bad then, then I would think things would be up in the air.

I think it'd be a bad idea to increase the price on this second 6 month period. But I would fully expect a hike before WM.

It will be a mass exodus to the BoD RAW post.

    ReplyDelete
  146. tell me a similar business that does this. Netflix adds content when it becomes available (as in when the new season starts, last year's season goes up COMPLETELY, not on the day of the month with the most renewals). I'm honestly curious what other business does this.

    I LIKE it.

    ReplyDelete
  148. A stampede even.

    ReplyDelete
  149. good point. You had the early adopters, probably filled with folks looking for old content and then you had the WM subscribers, sold mostly on the ppv savings (but possibly now hooked on other content, we dont know)

  150. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 26, 2014 at 1:54 PM

    That will make an Impact.

    ReplyDelete
  151. I think that is why it is taking so long, getting all the interviews done. I hope they show the full episodes while pausing to talk about whatever important stuff happened that week.

    ReplyDelete
  152. So about Raw, do they take the title off of Bryan, or does he still keep it?

    ReplyDelete
  153. true enough but I don't think anyone was expecting shortened versions of house shows, particularly ones already shown on 24/7. I think plenty of people thought the stuff on 24/7 would be put up on the network pretty quickly. However no they did not specifically promise specific older content, rather promising to be constantly adding stuff. My definition of constantly adding stuff jut appears to be different than the WWE's definition.

    ReplyDelete
  154. ehh, maybe I underestimate the amount of people who would like that. For me I think i would tire of it week after week. Only so many times you can talk about why Sting was kept in the rafters for 8 months. I'm just not sure there is enough interesting stuff to talk about for every single week.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I don't want to take way from the actual RAW review that Andy does by posting after it as that brings Scott a lot more hits than BoD RAW

If you Gus dislike the time change, let me know. I might make it a vote.

I enjoyed him a lot when he was doing color commentary on ECW, so I've always been more sympathetic to him. Going back and watching some of the PPVs he did is pretty cringeworthy, though. He was the definition of trying too hard.
