11:00 PM ET - Legends of Wrestling - 4/30/07 - Wrestling's greatest rivalries.

So what do you go with tonight? Smackdown or Clash IX? Clash is really a two match show for me with Luger vs. Pillman and Flair vs. Funk, but those two matches are pretty damn good. Smackdown will be highlighted by matches like Kofi Kingston vs. Cesaro and Sheamus vs. Bad News Barrett. With Payback this weekend, what were your highlights from last year's Payback? For me, it was the Jericho-Punk match, and after re-watching it because I couldn't remember the match, Bryan/Orton vs. Rollins/Reigns. Meltzer gave Jericho-Punk ****1/2, and I would say it was pretty close to that.

I was actually pretty bored by the Jericho-Punk match at Payback. Started very very sloooooowly. Surprised it got such a high rating. As for the question I will be doing neither, I will be getting fitshaced.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I would but I get to be fortunate enough to have to work tomorrow. Yay.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Jericho/Punk never lived up to expectations for me whenever they did it... that includes this match aside from the hot finish with the 2 GTS.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 30, 2014 at 9:16 AM

I would watch Clash. Flair Funk put on great matches together, and Funk's selling is fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The CM Drunk feud was horrendous. God, that whole thing was awful

    ReplyDelete
  6. AverageJoeEverymanMay 30, 2014 at 9:31 AM

The fake bottle breaking before hitting Punk and then Jericho slipping in the puddle afterward were hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Started Clash XI: Coastal Crush last night. Southern Boys vs. Freebirds was fun.

    ReplyDelete
  8. AverageJoeEverymanMay 30, 2014 at 9:39 AM

Last years 3 Stages of Hell match, could they have used 2 more boring stips than Lumberjack and Ambulance match? Though I will admit Ryback and Cena did use the ambulance in some innovative ways.

    ReplyDelete
  9. What about when punk challenged Jericho to give him a breathalyzer at any time?

    ReplyDelete
  10. The worst part was that they had a ready made feud over being "Best In The World" which was more than enough. Then they added all this drinking crap.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Anybody know if this MMA ledger is for former WCW JTTS Craig Pitbull Pitman and has anybody ever seen him fight:

    http://www.sherdog.com/fighter/Craig-Pittman-451

I thought WCW could have probably done more with him. He seemed like he was legitimately a pretty tough guy

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm going to watch Clash IX on the live stream tonight at 8 PM while I watch Smackdown as well.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Yep that's him. Here's one of his fights:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yko1xLF7AQU

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm curious about this blue waffle thing even knowing it's going to be terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Flair was great last night. He should be THAT kind of manager on the main roster with Ziggler.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Women's matches shouldn't get star ratings, instead we can replace the stars with $ signs because that's really all women want. I'd give last night's Natalya vs. Charlotte match $$$1/2 or so.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yeah... I've seen worse on the internet, assuming what I saw was legit what I was supposed to see.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Tubgirl is probably the worst of these gross memes or whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  19. There not pairing him with Ziggler. Heel Miz and heel Flair has promise though. Emphasis on HEEL.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I like good women's wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  21. It was really cool that WWE brought out Bret and Flair for the match.

    ReplyDelete
  22. A Miz and Flair pairing just seems wrong in so many ways.

    ReplyDelete
  23. The best part of this show was the fact they made you care about the matches and give you reasons to care about the wrestlers too

    ReplyDelete
  24. I was reading about Nakai getting blinded by Gordeau but I didn't know there was footage of all this. I actually have Rickson Gracie Choke on a hard drive somewhere but haven't ever watched it. He looks like a lot of pro wrestlers from the early days. Good strength/amateur wrestling/g and p - terrible sub defense.

    ReplyDelete
  25. How would you bring in Sami Zayn? Scrappy new underdog? New member of The Shield? In a tag team?

    ReplyDelete
  26. When it was first done yeah. But I've always been a fan of Miz's heel work. He played the perfect chickenshit douche and they didn't go far enough with it while he was champ. He should have won all his matches via bullshittery and cheating.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I bet WWE could get average match ratings of *** as well if they actually let their guys have wrestling matches.

    ReplyDelete
  28. One of the funniest things I've seen on RAW in quite some time. Didn't they put this feud together themselves?

    ReplyDelete
  29. But the contract on RAW this week had such glowing praise for WWE Creative!

    ReplyDelete
  30. I was thinking Kim Vs. Kong as well. Forgotten gems that blew everyone away when they happened.

    ReplyDelete
  31. NXT is a training ground for production peeps as well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, probably the best bet.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ew. sorry you had to endure that but it was for the greater good. God will bless you

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think they would agree. During their Wrestlemania match they seem to have said to hell with the stipulation half way through and decided to put on a great match like they both know they can.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Did they? I was under the impression that they hated the CM Drunk feud... the "Best in the World" feud at Payback was probably them though.

    ReplyDelete
  36. What happened to posting these in the evening YOU LYING LIAR?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Virgil's Gimmick TableMay 30, 2014 at 11:19 AM

But that's not telling stories. That's wrestling. Who wants to see boring old wrestling? What are you, some kind of wrestling fan?

    ReplyDelete
  38. The one announcer needs to drop the whoaoaoaoaoaoao thing

    ReplyDelete
  39. So yesterday when you posted that instagram thing of the wrestling fans comments I said they were the worst. That evening I went to practice for my men's league ball team at balboa park and there was a 15 year old white kid playing on the next court with the tupac thug life tattoo drawn on his stomach in sharpies...that reminded that of course hard core music fans are the worst and most annoying type of fan in the universe. Me and my brethren are safe for now

    ReplyDelete
  40. I really really REALLY hope they call up Zayn now. They really need a new hot face, and Adam Rose stands a chance of becoming another Fandango. Zayn has more of the everyman appeal and they can start him off with a feud against Cesaro or Sheamus or Barrett through Summerslam with zero problems.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Unforgiven 99, I'm up to the kennel match. So so show thus far. The Jarrett vs chyna match was hysterical and a good example of sports entertainment. JJ beating up Mae young and the other one whose name I forgot was so great. Also the outlaws had their best tag match I've seen against edge and Christian. I think that I've still got a xpac vs Jericho match and some kind of 6 way title bout left

    ReplyDelete
  42. It makes me wonder what the wrestlers on the main card could be doing if they were given more time for their matches and more freedom with them.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I have to admit, I now think Jeff Jarrett was good after watching the WWF chronologically from hogans return in 84 through unforgiven 99. I've changed my tune completely on Jarrett who I used to hate and on Shane Douglas who I still don't care for but who was actually way better in ECW than I remembered as far in ring skills.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And Mark Henry got a Braineurysm.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That was so funny. The underachieving sexual chocolate mark henry was actually a pretty good gimmick looking back.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Zayn will be called up eventually that much is for certain.

    ReplyDelete
  47. I can't wait until Abeyance's post count is like 140,000 and the rest of the top 5 is around 35,000.
It should probably be expanded to a top 6.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Who knows, Vince might not like his beard or the hat he likes to wear. Nothing is certain!

    ReplyDelete
  49. A friend & I were watching a RiffTrax and one of the guys on there mentions a Lemon Party. About a minute later they warned "whatever you do *do not* Google 'Lemon Party!'"... but it was too late. Scarred. For. Life.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm with you here, they work as a HEEL duo. Or maybe with whatever the heel leftover contingent of the Shield will be. Either way, gotta be heel...face managers suck.

    ReplyDelete
  51. It took me basically 4 years (from a day or two after the last disqus switchover) to get my giant comment count going and I've been accused of post whoring all the time. Abeyance is going to be at a minimum of 100k posts if he sticks around that long. Theres something oddly enjoyable about that little guys gumption.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The world may never know....

    ReplyDelete
  53. He said next week.

    ReplyDelete
  54. BUT I WANT IT NNNOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!

Wait, what are we talking about here?

    ReplyDelete
  55. Posting the network thread at night.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hmm, then the real goal would be to get to the #2 spot.

    ReplyDelete
  57. It wouldn't be that many more because 1)I'm old and went to school at time when laptops and WiFi were in every class, in fact I didn't even bring a computer to class with me until grad school 2)the comments sections weren't as entertaining and constant 3) it took me awhile to get a job where I can close the door to my office and not have anyone see what horrible time wasting shit I'm doing at work

But yeah, I had some real gems as shitbags at livejournal and as jjj in the last rspwfaq thing before disqus and the big switch

    ReplyDelete
  58. Don't get cocky because you passed cult.

    ReplyDelete
  59. You've apparently never watched any women's matches outside of WWE

    ReplyDelete
  60. I'm not cocky, just saying that he didn't lie.
    Oh and.....YOU'RE NEXT!

    ReplyDelete
  61. You should blow off you're feud with TBK firsr

    ReplyDelete
  62. I have my barber shop window ready.

    ReplyDelete
  63. So I decided to read the Observer feedback for this show and someone called the Bella's "gold digger twins".

    Fucking really?

    ReplyDelete
  64. They're far enough away that they could almost be Asians. They look like of Philippines ish and don't speak Spanish so its just a natural feud anyways. Plus the tranny thing is kind of asain too. You'll never be a top star as part of a tag team anyways so its time to make your move.

    ReplyDelete
  65. "2)the comments sections weren't as entertaining and constant"

    You're welcome.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, plus BoD Summer Slam needs a good feud anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  67. Proof that Lax is the #1 draw.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Is this what would have happened to wcw if they put the new bloods over the millionaires club?

    ReplyDelete
  69. I never did get that top 5 handshake yet.
    :holds up hand:

    ReplyDelete
  70. Has your one week probation expired yet?

    ReplyDelete
  71. First, you have to kill the TBK to prove you're worthy.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Stranger in the AlpsMay 30, 2014 at 11:58 AM

Next week. Any night where there's not a thread already. And I am more accurate than Brian Bayless' dirt sheet sources.

    ReplyDelete
  73. No. But I think we should start a discussion about that so cult can take the opposite of whatever stance you take.

    ReplyDelete
  74. This is going to make that battle royal more interesting, I can tell. To bad we only have been a team for 3 months instead of 3 years.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'd like to take our two man show out on the road. Maybe you could even pop in from time to time as a special celebrity guest!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Stranger in the AlpsMay 30, 2014 at 12:01 PM

Some numb nuts is going to try and cut Abeyance down, but Abeyance worked hard on his post count. Sometimes I can't even put two words together like he can.

    ReplyDelete
  77. In the U.S., no I have not. I know that Japanese women's matches are often quite the sight to behold.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm really trying to take our two man show out on the road. Maybe you could even pop in from time to time as a special celebrity guest!

    ReplyDelete
  79. And I will happily await the next Abeyance.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Did you just say the same post twice?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Its staging a full on rebellion. But I'm using my computer to watch unforgiven 99 and my iPad to "work" so its all I got right now

    ReplyDelete
  82. Sounds good, I don't mind being the stunt cast celebrity to pop ratings once you guys can't get it done any more.

    ReplyDelete
  83. No I moved it to the appropriate spot

    ReplyDelete
  84. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 30, 2014 at 12:06 PM

What was great about that match is that it didn't feel like a divas match at all and felt more like an old school wrestling match. Also I can't believe how green Charlotte really should be at this stage of her career and yet she comes across as a veteran compared to most of the divas on the main roster.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I'm more worried about cult flaking on dates so its good to have a celebrity cavalcade on standby

    ReplyDelete
  86. Just....don't....

    ReplyDelete
  87. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 30, 2014 at 12:11 PM

I've seen a little bit of Kalisto's previous work on the indies as Samuray Del Sol and I always thought he's the luchadore wrestler that Sin Cara (the botch-tastic original) should have been. In fact they could easily put him in a tag team with the current Sin Cara (Hunico) on the main roster instead of wasting him with Ricardo Rodriguez as it only makes him look like a total jobber.

Also how awesome would a Sami Zayne and Adrian Neville tag team would be on the main roster? Sami could easily play the role of Ricky Morton, while Neville can show off his awesome offence off a hot tag.

    ReplyDelete
  88. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:11 PM

Jericho/Punk is not **** 1/2 because half the match lacks heat and is slow (the rest is pretty good), and the bout is unrealistic due to being a bunkhouse match that lacks blood. I'd go *** 3/4.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Watched Takeover, which was great and now have Legends House on in the background ...which will certainly be less great. Why do I still watch? Piper makes me laugh and I have yet to tire of Holy Balls

    ReplyDelete
  90. I'd put all 3 of their ppv matches around that

    ReplyDelete
  91. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:13 PM

Yeah, very good stuff! I prefer Jericho's work with Rey and those were around **** to **** 1/4. So seeing Punk/Jericho that high is a little odd.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I remember how people wanted a Jericho Punk match so badly.

    ReplyDelete
  93. ConnectNumber1 gives out way higher ratings. Seems like a really nice guy

    ReplyDelete
  94. Dirty_Dave_DelaneyMay 30, 2014 at 12:13 PM

Agreed on Regal. I just love how it explains the simplest offence and makes seem 100 times more interesting and effective.

    ReplyDelete
  95. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:14 PM

Heatwise, a tough feud...they were in a tough spot because Jericho was just coming back and the crowd didn't want to heel him yet... and Punk was still getting into a groove as champion.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Agreed. For whatever reason they just don't bring out the best in one another like you would expect them too.

    ReplyDelete
  97. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:15 PM

Then again, it could be "very" realistic to a fan who didn't sit through the 80's/90's so that second point I'll take back. But you know what I mean. It was literally a blood feud that didn't have blood.

    ReplyDelete
  98. But as usual, Jericho made it kind of work.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yeah awesome matches that never really reached greatness for various reasons each time. I agree completely with your assessment of this one.

    ReplyDelete
  100. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:16 PM

More specifically it was a Blood Alcohol Content feud.

    ReplyDelete
  101. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:17 PM

Yeah, they had the best match at Mania, I thought. Not blowaway MOTY but really good!

    ReplyDelete
  102. With Punk spelling the alphabet backwards?

    ReplyDelete
  103. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:18 PM

Jericho retaining (?) the IC Title by flawlessly ripping off Rey's mask as he attempted the 6-1-9 and rolling him up was freakin' awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I always heard his best days were when he was in the USWA. I forget, does WWE own their footage? It would make for good network watching. We'd even get to see some Flex Kavana footage while we're at it without having to dig through Youtube.

    ReplyDelete
  105. That was great. Z... Y... *points at taped fist* X !!!

    ReplyDelete
  106. Miz simply can't get it done in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  107. And Punk still messed it up, people here called it, and they were expecting some sort of Dusty finish at Extreme Rules.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I had no problem with him as an upper midcarder, but that "Justin credible'esque" non stop main event push in WCW was just terrible. He just simply was not at that level.

    ReplyDelete
  109. F'N Body Slams - Dan SelbyMay 30, 2014 at 12:20 PM

    Don't like 'Constipated Nattie'?

Try 'Post-crying Nattie'! (I mean seriously hot, for whatever, odd reason...)

    ReplyDelete
  110. I think a good part of what makes Charlotte attractive is her insane athleticism. She looks great out there... plus the whole, tall, fit, blonde thing...

    ReplyDelete
  111. I never understood that kind of sobriety test. a drunk genius can still get it, a sober moronic hick will still get it wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yeah, even sober it's hard to say the ABC's backwards.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I've seen it. Seen worse.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Gene's one liners are usually the highlight. Him saying "Jimmy get the fuck out of here" while cleaning fish was great.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Huh, looks like Strangers gonna get the hits today.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Field sobriety tests have nothing to do with if your sober or not. The cop has already made up his mind to arrest you once he asked for them to be performed. And its not a test. They watch for other "clues" of intoxication like did your eyes flutter, speech slur, did you wobble etc etc. The tests are bullshit and you are 100% allowed to refuse to perform them

Just tossing that out there for everyone

    ReplyDelete
  117. But they can still arrest you of you refuse right?

    ReplyDelete
  118. Anyone here buy a "slapnuts" t shirt?

    ReplyDelete
  119. My answer is no.

    ReplyDelete
  120. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:27 PM

I was actually thinking of the Extreme Rules match and not the Punk Returns Chicago match. Both are like *** 3/4 to ***** or so.

    ReplyDelete
  121. Yea the less gimmicky and more banter the better. Actually a Piper, Duggan, Gene road trip across america show would be better.

    ReplyDelete
  122. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:28 PM

No, I only bought classy shirts like KroniK 4:19 -- Got A Minute?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Great two hours of wrestling...the kind of show that makes you go...oh yeah... that's why I like wrestling....I mean why I'm part of the Sports Entertainment Universe

    ReplyDelete
  124. They will absolutely arrest you anyways. But there were always going to. The tests help build the case for court. Don't drink and drive but if you do 1)never admit to drinking even 1 beer 2)do not do the field sobriety tests 3)do not take the preliminary alcohol screening test in the field 4)do not take a breathalyzer, take a blood test you have a right to demand one. No matter what the cop days "oh just do this walk a line test so I can make sure you can drive home etc" its a lie. Once he starts with that shit you're under arrest. The most important thing is to prepare your court case and it starts there. My mom is a DUI defense attorney so I always here about this stuff

    ReplyDelete
  125. That's a nice clean t shirt

    ReplyDelete
  126. uhm....I grabbed one that came into the Goodwill I worked at in college...does that count?

    ReplyDelete
  127. No. I am thinking of dropping some coin on some WWE merch this weekend though they are having a 20% off "Payback" sale... I guess the "Sign up for WWE promotional emails" thing I clicked with the network paid off for them. Fuckers.

    http://goo.gl/ugn0ib

    ReplyDelete
  128. Yeah all thanks to me

    ReplyDelete
  129. Did, did you just turn into a spam bot?

    ReplyDelete
  130. No. Did you just turn into a decent poster?

    ReplyDelete
  131. Oh man my day would have been made seeing a JJ shirt in a goodwill

    ReplyDelete
  132. CruelConnectionNumber2May 30, 2014 at 12:36 PM

"Hey Jericho, Bret the Hitman Hart called himself "The Best" too. Did you invent Bret Hart?" Ugh.

    ReplyDelete
  133. No, and you know that will never happen.

    ReplyDelete
  134. You should buy a hhh king of kings DVD, I heard its fantastic

    ReplyDelete
  135. I watched that on Netflix actually... it was fucking awful. I did order a CM Punk protein shaker because A) It was cheap B) It looked cool and C) The idea that White Thunder would hate it amused me tremendously.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Of course Jobber.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I like the father's day sale. I bet my dad would love a hulkamania shirt and a replica wwe title!

    ReplyDelete
  138. One day, I want to get the WCW replica title.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Get it today. 20% is a significant discount on something that expensive

    ReplyDelete
  140. Well I'm sure the documentary part was really awesome. He's beaten em all, not sure if you're aware of that or not. Plus he invaded wcw and won the Monday night wars. Truly the ace of spades!

    ReplyDelete
  141. It was the worst one they have ever made the only time anyone said anything negative about him at all was when he said he knew he and Orton were screwed in their mania main event because of the stip and that they had to follow HBK/Taker.

He even said Killer Kowalski didn't charge him at his school because he knew how awesome he was going to be.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I did buy the ugliest Wolf Pack shirt where everything is black and white except Nash is in color and the red on the other guys who are (Macho, Sting, Konnan and Luger)

    ReplyDelete
  143. In all seriousness I might get that roku 3 kit from them. The network is still hit or miss on my ps3 and its nice to have my tablet open for other stuff while I watch.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yeah I saw that, it is a good deal and Roku is the shit with all the other channels it has... and might as well take advantage of their stupid sale

    ReplyDelete
  145. Cool I'm getting it, I'm going in with the roku. I'll keep my cable for now because I'm a sports guy and I channel flipper but I'm getting closer and closer to the ledge.

I actually like at uverse but before them I had time warner cable for a few years and they were the worst company I've ever dealt with and sometimes for work I have to check stuff out with weird foreign companies and shit. I've treated toilet paper better than they treated me. If I had them I'd be a cord cutter now.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Also can I just your website is very informative.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Thanks. I have been working on it a lot this week trying to get it perfect... I am obsessive that way.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Cool thing is with Roku if you do still have cable there are a lot of channels you can use as kind of an On Demand type thing. HBO, History, A&E etc... a lot of them let you watch everything on the Roku if you are already a cable subscriber and save you the trouble of DVR'ing.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Yeah he loves to throw the cheap shots at me...I guess when you've got the fastest rising post count in BoD history stuff like manners and human decency gets thrown out the window.

  152. Yeah I think it is a good deal... plus I hate Apple so it makes me happy to see WWE working with Roku.

BTW I had to put in "PAYBACK" as the code to get the discount because they don't want it to just be easy.

  153. C'mom...its a classic

    ReplyDelete
  154. Jericho's follow up on Twitter was hilarious, though. Something like, "Silly sheep, I slipped on purpose because i was imitating Punk the Drunk."

    ReplyDelete
  155. Cool. I spent days just adding a shit ton of channels instead of doing my job and found all kind of cool shit... way better than Apple TV that just dictates to you what you can get.

  156. Back when we were kid posters we never would have treated our elder posters with such disrespect!

It's too fucking common now. E'rebody got it. (or a knockoff version of it.
Now if I can get my hands on the original (two-tone with the brown leather) Then I'll reconsider.

One of the reason I came in here was to watch Parallax and AbeyAnce find new and creative ways to post so one doesn't pass the other.

  159. They say jef Vinson used to log out and upvote very Stuart Chartock post just to respect this business

Is that the one where they showed his wedding to that demon spawn Stephanie?

  161. Fucking BoD Millennials and their complete lack of ethics!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Man you don't like Steph either?

Not even if the mouse pad was laying on AJ Lee's bare ass.

Steph infection? She's OK in doses.

    ReplyDelete
  165. I think she's be a demon in bed IMO

    ReplyDelete
  166. Watching 1999 WWF and she wasn't that hot yet

    ReplyDelete
  167. Agreed... but she matured nicely... of course I am attracted to bitchy, difficult women so that may be playing a role here.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 30, 2014 at 1:07 PM

But now that she's older and her voice is deeper and her back is wider she's a little scary.

    ReplyDelete
  169. I think it would be tighter than a vice grip

    ReplyDelete
  170. Yeah I dont find her hot now either but I swear there was a period somewhere that she was amazing. But the network is really popping a lot of my misconceptions

    ReplyDelete
  171. Maybe the best *American* women's wrestling match of the last 30 years, but check out some Aja Kong/Toyota Manami matches in the early 90s (or almost anything from New Japan Women's during that time).

The Charlotte/Nattie match was great, no question, but I still haven't seen anything stateside that competes with the peak of New Japan Women's pro-wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  172. 2007ish when she was a blonde was a good era for her.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 30, 2014 at 1:10 PM

With all the steroids flowing through her I wouldn't doubt it.

    ReplyDelete
  174. I'd be worried after I was done fucking Stephanie would pull out a huge dildo and go "NOW ITS MY TURN"

    ReplyDelete
  175. Jef Vinson (Homewreckers Inc™)May 30, 2014 at 1:12 PM

What do you mean pull it out? It's probably up in her body and pops out like a dog's does.

    ReplyDelete
  176. *speechless at the last sentence*

    ReplyDelete
  177. Wait...wasn't the reason why HHH vs. Orton sucked was a LACK of stip? Wasn't it a straight-up match when it should have been a blood bath to hide their weaknesses as wrestlers?

    ReplyDelete
  178. Yea, you don't want to know what either of those are. You definitely shouldn't google either one the next time you're really bored.

    ReplyDelete
  179. "DID YOU ENJOY THAT? HUH? DID THAT FEEL GOOD? WELL NOW YOU'LL GO ONE ON ONE WITH THE BIG RED ROCKET"

    ReplyDelete
  180. Yup. That was the most disrespectful part of the whole thing IMO

    ReplyDelete
  181. Not gonna lie I kinda liked this ep of Legends. Having HBK show up and keep the gimmick crap to a minimum was good

    ReplyDelete
  182. No. It had a "If HHH gets DQ'ed he loses the title" stip inexplicably added out of nowhere

  183. Virgil's Gimmick TableMay 30, 2014 at 1:18 PM

Random TJ: Spider-Man vs Bonesaw has to be the greatest upset in wrestling history.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Oh, I agree with you wholeheartedly. It was the best *U.S.* women's match of the last 30 years. It still doesn't hold a candle to joshi.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Because no women is ever main eventing mania.

    ReplyDelete
  186. I have high hopes for Kalisto too, as Del Sol he was a veritable living highlight reel.

  187. Stranger in the AlpsMay 30, 2014 at 1:29 PM

Hey, I have to ask you. I have the original Roku, and I'm going to swap out for whatever the newest model will be when my satallite contract expires next year. But I still go into the channel store and check out all the new channels. Aside from the all the religion channels, is there one specific genre of channel that you feel is a must add? The techie channels? The old timey cartoons/movies/TV shows? Documentary channels?

    ReplyDelete
  188. Man this place is deader than a Benoit family member today... if I'm not careful I am going to have to do some work at my job!

    ReplyDelete
  189. Dolph Ziggler lost the WHC to Alberto Del Rio at last years Payback, now they're not even booked. Ryback was in the Main Event,Curtis Axel won the IC Title & Ditto. AJ,Kaitlyn,CM Punk & Chris Jericho all gonzo.

Wonder if the same fate will hit people like Bray Wyatt,Paige & Cesaro a year from now.

    ReplyDelete
  190. Russo would have been disgusted....unless of course it turned out to be a success then Russo would take credit for it by saying that he originally came up with the idea to Vince to do it to Bret back in '97.

"TIME FOR YOUR PROTEIN INJECTION, PAUL!!!"

    ReplyDelete
  192. Well I can't really answer that for you... it just depends upon your interests. I know there are some good all documentary channels my girlfriend likes. The History channel app is a must have. Crunchyroll is an all anime channel if you are into that. There are several free movie channels like Crackle (http://getridofcable.net/rid-cable-reviews-crackle/ cheap pop!) essentially there is a channel for just about any interest/sub-genre you can think of.

also as I told jobber below if you have cable already it is good to have as well because a lot of apps are available to cable subscribers that wrok like on demands services for that channel. HBO Go being the most common example so it may be worth the less than $100 to go ahead and get it now even if you do keep cable another year (I know Mr. & Mrs. Stranger could shake the couch cushions and find $100) TWC even has its own app on Roku... not sure how exactly it works though.
