I loved this match with the false finishes. I understand that people we're turning on him and definitely turned at Summerslam, but I was still a huge Rock mark and wanted him to keep the belt knowing Stone Cold wasn't coming back.

Also, was there a time in the WWE when Angle didn't have absolutely awesome tights. The Camo, Mirror Universe, Pinstripes, Team Angle, etc. I always thought they were really cool.

  3. I didn't care for his singlet he wore at SummerSlam 2001.

  4. I was there.. Stealing finishers was cool back then.

  5. Stealing finishers is always something I'm a sucker for. Of course it can't happen all the time but it's cool when it does happen.

I still liked them. Maybe not as much as the others but it wasn't a Billy Gunn level of dislike.

  7. The one that set the mold for every Triple Threat match since. Great match. I had money on the Undertaker though. They already were setting up Brock vs Undertaker, and I figured that was the match for SummerSlam.

  8. I think Rock was the guy that really popularized stealing finishers in matches. Not saying it hadn't been done before... but it was a staple of Rock's matches and in the context of the triple threat match, there were more combinations to be had.

  9. Wasn't that after that? I thought he was still just "American Dragon" at that point with no mention of his real name... and yes, it was a turrible look. You gotta admit, though - "Self Esteem" mixed into a hard rockin' version of the Imperial March made for some pretty bitchin' entrance music.

  10. As much as i love the pipebomb, i kinda love the Yankees promo more. Just a brilliant piece of art, from the nuclear crowd pop at the suggestion of WWE ice cream bars (money on the table, Good Humour. Left it right on the table.) To his complete takedown of Cena's whe persona with the Yankees comparison..

As for matches y, Jericho at Mania, Aries when he won the title, and the ones with Colt from all the indies, plus of course the Joe trilogy and the Cena series.

Angle getting pissed at being ignored is one of my fav starts to the match. This was the first PPV I watched after not watching WWE for about eight months following the Invasion shit

Yeah I usually hate Triple Threats but they put on a damn good main event

ECW, when Shannon Moore "Brings sexy back". Then, Cm Punk appeared, and calls him a poser

  14. The best (wrestling) three-way ever? The only one that I can think of that might top it is Joe vs. Daniels vs. Styles (TNA's best-ever match).

  15. Big Show vs. Lesnar vs. Angle was very good as well.

  16. His 2006 setup with Black singlet and actual amateur wrestling shoes was 10/10.

Also the Backlash 2004 rematch of the WMXX main.
