Ah yes, the match where Rock tapped to the Crossface, always a team player.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this match was great. The rematch was even better, and it led to the first physical confrontation between Rock/Brock that had been teased for weeks.

ReplyDeleteThe entire build and execution of Brock-Rock in 2002 was almost perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe training montagues, Hogan being destroyed and Rock vowing revenge, Rock being at the end of his run and Brock was just starting out, the lack of physical altercations and the fact that it was like Rocky IV but Drago won. No wonder Brock was over like rover from then on.
Chris Benoit doing the Crossface on you while Brock Lesnar stares you menacingly in he eye - probably the most terrifying thing in the world
ReplyDeleteAwesome match AND sets up the next week's main event! I love it!
