  1. Wouldn't releasing him save them money on what is probably a big contract? Does his merch sales totally make up for his salary? I don't get it.

  2. So they're not going to put a guy on tv and they don't want him working elsewhere either?

    Scumbag WWE.

  3. Merch sales and spite.

    ReplyDelete
  4. That sounds like the possible basis of another share holder lawsuit.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Really sad to read that about Rey. Dude has been with the company over twelve years and he probably won't get as much as a "Thanks Rey, take care" segment on Raw.

  6. Between this and the Del Rio situation, Hispanics are sure getting pounded there.

    ReplyDelete
  7. His masks sell with kids hit seeing how little he has been on TV the past year, it seems ridiculous at this point not to move on

    ReplyDelete
  8. Also, super pumped up about the move to Thursday. I never watch on Fridays and this gives me some wrestling to watch now that Impact is on Wednesday.

    ReplyDelete
  9. WE... THE PEOPLE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I imagine that Kalisto gets fast-tracked and that the WWE might have trouble signing Latino stars in the future

    ReplyDelete
  11. INDEPENDENT CONTRACTORS

    ReplyDelete
  12. Well there's still Huni . . I mean Sin Cara.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Bring back the Mexicools.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I'm happy about it as well. RAW on Monday, Main Event (eh) on Tuesday, Impact on Wednesday, Smackdown on Thursday, then a break from Friday until Monday (if no PPV). Sounds like a nice schedule.

    ReplyDelete
  15. It's way better. If I'm staying in on Friday (which happens often) I'm more inclined to watch the Network or some other TV show.

    ReplyDelete
  16. You just might a break on Wednesdays also in the near future. (had to do it) :)

    ReplyDelete
  17. Eh..even I'll admit that Impact has been good in-ring wise lately, but the storylines are non-existant or just boring.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I still will probably watch Smackdown on Hulu sometime over the weekend or Monday like I do now.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think there is talk of NXT being moved to Wednesday's now do there is that

    ReplyDelete
  20. Yeah, kids kind of need to see him on TV in order to know who he is before they're going to want his merchandise.

I think WWE is just butthurt over the fact that Sin Cara didn't work out as a Rey replacement as they hoped.

  21. Velvet Sky and Bubba Ray actually have fun with the Ice Bucket challenge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=YgufhLhnZrc

    ReplyDelete
  22. It's just like how I signed a roofer to work on my house and then made him sit in my basement for three years til I decided what shingles to go with. Ultimately, I decided to go with the bigger name in Home Depot and released the roofer when I had nothing for him.

    ReplyDelete
  23. What's the deal with HBK, Hogan, and Flair? They're just on the preshow? If so, I don't give a shit.

    ReplyDelete
  24. HAHAHAHAHA, I LOL'D hard there.

    ReplyDelete
  25. but Vince is about building up his business and not trying to hurt competitors. He told us so in the MOnday Night War show. And yeah, this whole independent contractor thing continues to be the biggest joke in employment law.

    ReplyDelete
  26. "According to a source within the WWE, the company is not planning to have Rey Mysterio return to TV for fear he might break his legs walking to the arena. Also, the WWE is more focused on preventing him from doing anything. Seriously Rey, don't even move, you may crumble."

    FTFY.

    ReplyDelete
  27. It's a shame WWE is struggling themselves right now and can't just move Smackdown to Wed. nights just to watch Dixie's head explode.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Rey's heart shines brighter than his common sense.

    ReplyDelete
  29. The whole Rey thing makes sense..I mean why would you want to end on good terms with Mexico's favorite wrestler as you are launching your network into other countries...like...mexico.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It may make some business sense but it doesn't make any ethical sense.

    ReplyDelete
  31. WWE: Because fuck you, that's why.

    ReplyDelete
  32. That's what happens when you have several guys like Sniskey on one night contracts, or when you have guys that they give little motivation for.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Even the business sense. How did they expect this to go well? Re upping his contract against his will..They could have do a hey we will let you out of this if you don't sign with TNA clause. We would WWE give a shit about him making money for a Mexico company?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Because that's what Del Rio is trying to do now?

    ReplyDelete
  35. This could all be a secret way of making sure Rey doesn't end up crippling himself in the future.

    ReplyDelete
  36. It appears that Vince probably feels Rey fucked him over by getting paid big bucks even though he was injured for most of the last few years.

In Vince's eyes it's along these lines: "I paid you millions for months while you were injured, and now that you are finally healed you want to go and work for the competition? FUCK YOU!"

    ReplyDelete
  37. Funny how they move back to Thursdays exactly 4 years and a day after they went to SyFy.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yeah, at least they were the cool stereotypes.

    ReplyDelete
  39. ...Vince probably shouldn't have signed an aging guy to a big contract when he had what...6 knee surgeries before he ever got to WWE?

    ReplyDelete
  40. "we DO NOT wish Rey well in his future endeavors, because he's stuck with us. DEAL WITH IT".

    -WWE

    ReplyDelete
  41. I don't understand why he doesn't go to Mexico and wrestle with the mask off? He could be Rey a Mystery No More! They won't be able to prove it's him! IT will be like a reverse loser has to retire but comes back under a mask the next week.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Because AAA is expanding into the US and they are more afraid of AAA stealing away there latino audience than TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  43. ah I was unaware. Well then they should probably give rey what he wants and have him be their ambassador to recruit the best of AAA to join WWE so they can hold the Latino audience instead of making Rey and AAA the plucky underdogs being held down by the big bad WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Bully: fat guy's role model. He keeps trading up!
