*Rockers would try to stay out of the clutches of the Steiners with their high flying offense, but Marty would fly into a Steiner Screwdriver or something to end that match. *Ric Flair is too damn old in teaming with Batista and RVD & Kane have the perfect combination of power and speed. *I wish we could vote for a draw because that's how G looks to me. Rikishi and Regal cancel each other out when it comes to skill, but Tajiri has more of a killer instinct than Scott 2 Hotty, so I advance Regal & Tajiri. *X-Pac & Kane squash 1-2-3 Kid & Bob Holly, who never even get a chance to pull off a miracle run in this tournament.
That's one of those matches I wish would have happened. The Steiners tossing around the Rockers like rag dolls would've been worth the price of admission.
Quick tangent...are there any matches between the US Express and Hart Foundation? I found one of the Spivey/Rotunda version against the Harts but not the original Windham/Rotunda combo.
Are we to assume the wrestlers are who they were when they were WWF/E tag champs? Like the Steiners aren't up against Mr. Wrestlemania and likewise Janetty isn't staring down the big Bad Booty Daddy,
Wanna do the same thing this year guys? Bonus points if we can get Bayless or someone to reveiw something for the winner but certainly not necessarily.
Graham's site has 3 such listed Syracuse 7-8-85, Weedsport 7-24-85, Orlando 8-19-85. Doubt any of those made tape, unless they're available in handheld.
Kane is everywhere
ReplyDeleteIs there anybody Kane didnt tag up with?
ReplyDeleteReally steiners v rockers in the first round?
ReplyDeleteThat's a tough one to decide.
I really wish they were seeded.
I'm sorry, but the Steiners would make roadkill out of the Rockers
ReplyDeleteKwang.
ReplyDeleteWish we could vote for a draw. That's a legit finish!
ReplyDeleteWhat about a distraction roll up?
ReplyDeleteIsaac yankem
ReplyDeleteCant in good conscience vote the Rockers due to their fake win.
ReplyDeleteHell of a first round match up.
ReplyDeleteCan we vote a million times on these?
It's 9.99 a vote...
ReplyDeleteWow the Rockers vs Steiners is rough fucking first round match up!!! Hard call, but of course I had to vote for the Steiner bros
ReplyDeleteI figure this is how this would go:
ReplyDelete*Rockers would try to stay out of the clutches of the Steiners with their high flying offense, but Marty would fly into a Steiner Screwdriver or something to end that match.

ReplyDeleteCan you imagine a match between those two teams in '89?
ReplyDeleteQuick tangent...are there any matches between the US Express and Hart Foundation? I found one of the Spivey/Rotunda version against the Harts but not the original Windham/Rotunda combo.
ReplyDeleteWindham was gone by the time the Harts started teaming, right?
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's what it looks like.
ReplyDeleteMarty Jannery bumping off a Steinerline. Physical poetry.
ReplyDeleteIf that match did exist, it would probably be found on one of those "Best of WWF" tapes.
ReplyDeleteIt's like the actual wwe. We can book him well past the point of usefulness.
ReplyDeleteLate 90s shawn michaels and big bad booty daddy scott Steiner would have made for an interesting team
ReplyDeleteRockers were never official WWF Tag Champs, they should be disqualified.
ReplyDeleteAre we to assume the wrestlers are who they were when they were WWF/E tag champs? Like the Steiners aren't up against Mr. Wrestlemania and likewise Janetty isn't staring down the big Bad Booty Daddy,
ReplyDeleteEven if it was legit, there's no way they take out the Steiners.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I'm assuming.
ReplyDeleteI was wondering the same thing
ReplyDeleteLast match is a draw because the space/time continuum is destroyed once X-Pac and the 1-2-3 Kid lock up.
ReplyDeleteSo, last year we did a for fun rumble pool!
ReplyDeleteWanna do the same thing this year guys? Bonus points if we can get Bayless or someone to reveiw something for the winner but certainly not necessarily.
I'm in, so long as I don't have to actually do anything.
ReplyDeleteI've always wanted to see 1-2-3 Kid and X-Pac go at it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stealing my gimmick. You run with it now.
ReplyDeleteSure, sign me up. I think I drew someone awful last year.
ReplyDeleteIN. Everyone must Paypal the winner $1.
ReplyDelete"Sniff". This poll makes me miss tag teams.
ReplyDeleteIsaac Yankem vs. Fake Diesel vs. Kane in a triple threat match. Book it playa!

ReplyDeleteSteiners
ReplyDeleteKane/RVD
Tajiri/Regal
Kane/X-Pac
11!
ReplyDeleteHot Newz is back on the-w.com and he's throwing some truth bombs at Scott Keith's direction! Wrestling nerd war incoming!
ReplyDelete"By this time we were all throwing GARBAGE into the ring (Scott Keith got angry at us all throwing his old books into the ring!)"
And probably makes me realize how much I overestimate the Usos, who I like very much.
ReplyDeleteMe too. I had #7
ReplyDeleteJack Swagger
If Andy PG thought of this idea, people would be raising holy shell.
ReplyDeleteMan, looking at this, boy has WWF/E devalued that title the past 15 years!
