Comments

  1. Why would they trot out boogeyman? Was that gimmick ever really over?

    Sting,you lazy ass vigilante...

    ReplyDelete
  2. The Boogeyman is exactly the ECW that Philly would want. First choice was the Zombie, who died earlier this month.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Boogeyman got one of the biggest reactions from kids at a house show I went to, perhaps only second to Big Dave.

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'm surprised WWE bothers to keep Layla under contract. Maybe Dunn has a raging hard on for her too, otherwise what's the point? They don't use her at NXT when she's not with the main roster, and she's on TV maybe a month out of the year. We've had more "When's Layla returning" news over the years than "what has Layla done on TV" by a wide margin.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I know it's only the Boogeyman, and I know it's only a rumour, but I could live without that kind of stuff being reported without potential spoiler warnings.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I'm expecting a semi-smart crowd (not as much as last year), but even then, who knows? I wouldn't but that's me.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Stay off the internet then.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I want to know in case he's coming to get me!

    ReplyDelete
  9. Hide your worm farms!

    ReplyDelete
  10. I hate spoilers too, but I check the blog daily and check F4Wonline at least twice a day, so I'm always tempted even if I don't want to know spoilers.

    ReplyDelete
  11. I'm ok with Boogeyman being in there but between him, Rose, and Mizdow's obvious comedy spots i think its gonna be a little comedy-heavy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Foolish mortal! Never underestimate Torito and Hornswoggle!!

    ReplyDelete
  13. Punk got his Wolverine mutton chops going here.

    ReplyDelete
  14. If the Rock is in the Rumble, maybe Rusev tossing him out is Rusev's big moment...but I'm not sure how that would get to Cena.

    ReplyDelete
  15. there should be 1 rumble with just legit guys to win, old timers, surprise comebacks, and kofi

    ReplyDelete
  16. What about RAVEN?

    ReplyDelete
  17. Punk vs. Rollins would be a helluva singles match. Damn.

    ReplyDelete
  18. johnny polo sure but fuck raven

    ReplyDelete
  19. Watching Bryan vs Wyatt from last years Rumble. Wyatt doesn't get enough credit for his brawling. Crisp punches and clotheslines, great Brody-ish body language. In a time machine he'd have been great in Mid South or ECW.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Boogeyman is still undefeated at WM. Someone needs to carry on the streak now Undertaker's one is over.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Or alternatively, garner enough common sense to provide a cut.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Me too, but F4W at least put that kind of stuff under a cut.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Think I am going to write a short story based on my Scott Steiner Ghost Hunter idea. May post it on the blog.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I remember looking too into it and noticing Edge had one going for a while (6 or 7 Mania's, I think). I don't think anyone else had as long a streak without a loss.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Having listened to Punk's podcast, you can see the pain on his face every time he hits the mat.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I know where you're coming from and agree there should've been a jump cut, but I would click it even if I didn't want to know. Pandora's box syndrome.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Awesome opener. The PPV was in the toilet the rest of the way, in a fun, trainwreck kind of style.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Last years Rumble? Dude looks like he's about to die midway, hiding in the corner out of the camera's view. No way he should've stayed in if he had a concussion.

    ReplyDelete
  29. i'm still surprised they allowed punk to go for an hour at last year's rumble

    ReplyDelete
  30. Yeah I thought they were going to do Edge v Taker streak v streak match originally but they stupidly had Edge lose the MITB match the previous WM. Right now I think all 3 Shield guys are undefeated at WM and hopefully WWE will be smart to protect all 3 guys going into WM.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm talking about the staph infection or whatever it was. He's already cringing legit early on here.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Oh. This is where the party is.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ROYAL!
    RUMBLE!
    2015!

    Dynamite!

    ReplyDelete
  34. Philly will surely greet The Boogeyman with open arms!

    ReplyDelete
  35. What time does the network preshow start?

    ReplyDelete
  36. well he is a former ecw guy

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well according to that one dumb fuck on here Sting isn't over anyway so its NBD that he won't be there.

    ReplyDelete
  38. E-C-DUB!!!!

    The Boogeyman is hardcore!

    ReplyDelete
  39. 7PM EST is the usual time I assume that is the case tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  40. The undercard for the Rumble is really awful.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:37 PM

Man, they suck at this surprise entrant deal.

    ReplyDelete
  42. If you could pick anyone to be a surprise entrant tonight, who would you pick?

    ReplyDelete
  43. The whole day is like one big erection. Can't wait to bust for the RUMBLE tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  44. To be fair it's hard to keep things like this a secret from every single person with a phone.

    ReplyDelete
  45. They had to have him look strong if he was going into a feud with Hunter.

    ReplyDelete
  46. To the person upset a few of the wrestlers in the WWE believe the Boogeyman will be making a surprise appearance at the Royal Rumble, I apologize. Send me your address and I will have that Whitman's Sampler on its way ASAP

    ReplyDelete
  47. I assume that insult was aimed at me?
If he was over through name value they wouldn't need to have his name thrown out every week by their top heels, nor would he need to twice save the ACTIVE wrestling talent by taking care of the big threat whilst the guys who are going to be there long term are laid out on the mat.

You could put anybody in Sting's spot and he would be just as if not more over.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Billy Jack Haynes

    ReplyDelete
  49. Never trust a Whitman

    ReplyDelete
  50. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:39 PM

People keep saying that they expect a hijacking. With that undercard I expect the crowd to be totally dead by the time the Rumble and title match starts.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Kurt Angle, but he resigned with TNA. So... I don't know, anyone fun.

    ReplyDelete
  52. You, sir, are a fool.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:40 PM

That's not at all what I meant.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This. A thousand buys.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I doubt any hijacking takes place tonight. This show has next to no momentum going in. Its only the Rumble match itself that sells the show because the feuds are garbage and the other matches, besides the title, are the type of stuff you see on Main Event.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Seriously. He's been on this for months and no amount of reality is going to change his position.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I'd rather the Rumble be loaded than all the big names on the undercard and putting a long list of jobbers in it.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Why don't they put these guys that are supposed to be surprise entrants in a different hotel than the main roster? Rock hanging around where everyone else is ruins the suspense.

    ReplyDelete
  59. It'd be funny if NAO end up squashing Ascension.

    ReplyDelete
  60. That would have been fantastic.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Because if someone has a different opinion to you, it makes them a troll?
You are aware that your first post on this thread was calling someone a dumb fuck without provocation.
Trying to start an argument for no reason is pretty troll like behaviour.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Weather update: There's a high probability Smackdown is cancelled or has to be moved. Couldn't pick a worse spot than Boston on Tuesday.

    ReplyDelete
  63. You know what I'm happy The Boogeyman might be in. We're ten years out from the mid-2000s, let it rip!

Simon Dean would be the best surprise entrant. Mostly because the holdover ECW fans will be pissed he's not Nova.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Might as well. The Ascension are a joke

    ReplyDelete
  65. Maybe Booker T will get up from the announce booth and cause him to be eliminated, setting up an epic Mania rematch.

    ReplyDelete
  66. According to the bookies over here there is more chance of Angle winning it than Cesaro

    ReplyDelete
  67. Nope. Just someone who keeps repeating nonsense despite it being utterly stupid and disproven over and over is a troll. Hence why you are one.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:42 PM

If Cena wins I expect a pretty big negative reaction. Outside of that I think the crowd will be totally dead, outside of a big pop if Bryan wins.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I see your time away as made you less confrontational.

    ReplyDelete
  70. ...but aren't you afraid he's coming to getcha?

    ReplyDelete
  71. Will Booker T wear pants this time? Or will he give Boogey a new kind of worm to eat.

    ReplyDelete
  72. They can always move the taping or just take some filler matches before and after Raw.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:43 PM

    Sean Waltman.

    ReplyDelete
  74. WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY THAT?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Like most sequels, this thread sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I ruined someone's day by breaking this "newz"

    ReplyDelete
  77. You're at a wrestling news site the day of the 2nd biggest PPV of the year, one that is known for pulling surprises.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Shield and Punk should have teamed up here and dominated this Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Nothing, words on the internet have no meaning.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Looking forward to the thread later, it's always more entertaining than the show.

    ReplyDelete
  81. If I was a rich man I would be flying to Philly to buy from a scalper for tonight. I'm all caught up in it.

    RUMBLE FEVER!!!

    ReplyDelete
  82. Trying to liven the place up with more news. Either retarded emails or retro reviews besides this.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Which part of my posts is wrong in your reality? Did you not watch the same shows as the rest of us. Did you not see Ziggler/Rollins laid out at SurSeries for 5 minutes so Sting could do his big hero bit to get fans to care about him? Or did he not succeed in beating the authority's plan on Monday when all the uppercard faces had failed?

We get you're a Sting mark, but really, you do realise there is no reason why in 2015 he should be positioned on top of the WWE.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Ziggler's pop was pretty loud here.

    ReplyDelete
  85. THAT'S THE FUCKING SPIRIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  86. LOL... I know some people that should have to write that 1000 times.

    ReplyDelete
  87. The Boogeyman = Worst "Surprise" Ever.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Only name I can really think of who meant something to wrestling and I would mark out for. So WWE will give us Brian Christopher instead.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Bryan helped him look like a killer. Cena... did not.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Punk did that in 2011 with the Nexus, smart idea on paper but really dull to watch.

    ReplyDelete
  91. The reanimated corpse of Chris Benoit has a better chance than Cesaro.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Hartford on Monday isn't looking great, either.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Someone below was pissed I didnt inlcude a jumpcut for an unconfirmed report about Boogeyman being a surprise entrant. I told him to email me for a Whitman's Sampler but nothing. Nothing!

    ReplyDelete
  94. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:46 PM

I agree with the last part, but saying he isn't over is just stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  95. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©January 25, 2015 at 2:46 PM

He probably lied about it just like he lied about his age.

    ReplyDelete
  96. It's clearly a *wrong* "opinion". Sting's debut got a monster pop (Go to YouTube and watch the fan recordings). To suggest some ham and egger (Thanks Bobby Heenan) could garner the same response is juvenile and stupid.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Satan pretty much did last night if you feel like reading that dumpster fire of a flame war.

    ReplyDelete
  98. You still got it *clap clap clapclapclap*

    ReplyDelete
  99. Well then he has a valid complaint... this will rip apart the very fabric of WWE booking for years to come.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Its why I offered a Whitman's Sampler. I ruined the poor guy's day.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Uso, you dumbfuck, don't go to the top rope in a rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:48 PM

I have a better chance, and I don't think I could get there in time for the match.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Last years thread for the Rumble was probably the best I've ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Yellow box Whitman's that have the caramels and nuts, or white box Whitman's that are mostly chocolate covered crèmes?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Starting the '92 Rumble.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:48 PM

I'm still hoping for Dudley interference in that match.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Chris Benoit could, amirite

    ReplyDelete
  108. At this point it has to be both.

    ReplyDelete
  109. What former ECW wrestlers are they going to trot out tonight? I'm going with Justin Credible and The Sandman with a further outside shot of Perry Saturn

    ReplyDelete
  110. I think the Boogeyman was what did it. DDP on the other hand... he's a spoiled surprise worth getting giddy for. :D

    ReplyDelete
  111. Dusty Rhodes dressed in paint and vinyl outfit as Dusty Dust.

    ReplyDelete
  112. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©January 25, 2015 at 2:49 PM

:Boogeyman comes out, starts chewing on some worms and bangs the clock to his head:
JBL: Look at him having fun put there Maggle! Ha ha ha, I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  113. Maybe RVD or the Dudleys. Does Dreamer work for TNA? If not, he would be a choice.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Can they just have Cena/Rollins/Lesnar go 90 minutes and the Rumble go 90 minutes and fuck everything else (that I couldn't name with a gun to my head anyway)

    ReplyDelete
  115. I actually wouldn't be surprised about Saturn considering how tight him and HHH are.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Get that watch from the Twilight Zone that stops the world around you and steal a boat. We'll wait. :D

    ReplyDelete
  117. Alberto De... sorry I couldn't get through it with a straight face!!

    ReplyDelete
  118. Seriously, its like an episode of Main Event.

    ReplyDelete
  119. ...except it is still on the network!

    ReplyDelete
  120. Credible better come out to the X-Factor theme.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I hope they give the Triple Threat lots of time. I'd love a PPV match that isn't a Rumble go 40 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Which also means you can't be thrown over the top rope.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Most overrated actress of the century: Emma Stone.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Bryan is now a slight favorite in one's site betting at +100, with Reigns at +110.

    ReplyDelete
  125. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:51 PM

What's the explosion going to be like here if Cena and Reigns win?

    ReplyDelete
  126. The wrestler who sells the most merchandise is the most beloved.

I want foam hands and over sized bobbleheads to return.

    ReplyDelete
  127. That just switched recently then.

    ReplyDelete
  128. He is over because of the way he has been used. If the WWE put anyone else in the exact same spot and had them achieve the same stuff, they would be as much if not more over by now.

Sting is no longer a major name, he was maineventing shows to 100 people, the face of two companies. one of which died 14 years ago the other is a running joke.

    ReplyDelete
  129. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:51 PM

    She's not funny.

    ReplyDelete
  130. My explosion will be me getting the hell outta here in record time haha.

    ReplyDelete
  131. She was good in Black Swan. When has Stone been good?

    ReplyDelete
  132. Not tight enough for HHH to help him out when he was homeless.

    ReplyDelete
  133. WWE.com now has Rock on the front page. He's up to something for sure.

    ReplyDelete
  134. He's up to ELECTRIFYING!

    ReplyDelete
  135. 19 upvotes away from 30,000.

    ReplyDelete
  136. That's amazing. I only go up to 11.

    ReplyDelete
  137. J-E - Double F J - A - Double R - E - Double T

    ReplyDelete
  138. It seemed like nobody could findPerry when he was homeless. Much less help him.

    ReplyDelete
  139. I want Reigns to win so badly just to find out.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Cooking something. I can smell it!

    ReplyDelete
  141. Hopefully none of the above. Real ECW died 14 years ago. Let it stay dead without bringing back bottom of the card scrubs like Justin Credible.

    ReplyDelete
  142. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©January 25, 2015 at 2:52 PM

    That record won't be broken.

    ReplyDelete
  143. HE'S HAVING FUN, BAYGGLE!!!

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yeah. Definitely RVD with a chance of the Dudleys or Dreamer. That's it.

    ReplyDelete
  145. MikeyMike, JuggernautJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:53 PM

I'm going to pass on healthy eating tonight and get some pizza.

    ReplyDelete
  146. Seeing how its been the plan since the Summer, I dont think it will be that much if Reigns wins. Cena makes no sense winning the Rumble though.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Does she even count?

    ReplyDelete
  148. We can't let him reach it. The 30,000 club is too much for any one man!

    ReplyDelete
  149. Sylvester Stallone as Rocky Balboa.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Why not just make the 10 louder?

    ReplyDelete
  151. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:54 PM

RVD is automatic, wouldn't be surprised if Sabu is the next man out and they do a sequence for old times sake. Outside of that, maybe Sandman and that's it. Tommy Dreamer would be there if he wasn't hooked up with TNA, but outside of him everyone else is either dead/retired or in the case of people like Credible, fucking useless.

Though the Dudleys might be there, and a Jerry Lynn appearance wouldn't shock me. Random: back when he was feuding with RVD I was dating a chick named Jeri Lynne.

    ReplyDelete
  152. when the entire media jizz over everything that she does, yes

    ReplyDelete
  153. Maybe HHH should have threatened to kill Moppy on Raw unless Saturn called him.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I got a feeling you're gonna have blue balls.

    ReplyDelete
  155. The Help? Crazy, Stupid, Love? Didn't see those, so I don't know.

I thought she was good in her limited role on Superbad. Spider-man 1 was way too much sappy eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Top 5 surprise entrants tonight:
    1. Rock
    2. Hogan
    3. Finn Balor
    4. Batista
    5. Bully Ray

    ReplyDelete
  157. Upvote whoring. I'm ashamed of you.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:55 PM

Last I knew, yeah, Dreamer works for TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  159. Its a wrestling holiday. Indulgence is acceptable.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Re-signed. Resigned means he quit and thus would be a viable surprise entrant.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I'm not far behind. 28,847 upvotes away from 30,000.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Both would cause me an apathetic reaction

    ReplyDelete
  163. Attaboy. It's the Rumble! Live a little.

    ReplyDelete
  164. Wasn't she in that movie with that guy who went crazy?

    ReplyDelete
  165. I think he meant Cena winning the title match.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Thats more for her being the creator of the show I think instead of her acting, which sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  167. You're one closer buddy. Living the dream!

    ReplyDelete
  168. NEGATIVE INFLUENCE!

    ReplyDelete
  169. does the network not work on chromebooks?

    ReplyDelete
  170. Adam "Colorado" CurryJanuary 25, 2015 at 2:56 PM

Outside of #5 none of those people will be there, and fuck them if #s 1 and 2 are.

    ReplyDelete
  171. False.

That was tons of fun to watch
