I took the first 10 minutes of my day deciding between Macho Man and Undertaker... this has been one of the tougher rounds so far... what do you think?
WWE have sent out a list of possible future WWE DVDs. I've copied the full list before. Some surprising possibilities there. With them possibility getting a DVD, it looks more likely that Luger & Dudleys are getting a HOF nomination.

WWE finally makes suplex city shirts: http://shop.wwe.com/Brock-Lesnar-%22Suplex-City%22-Youth-Authentic-T-Shirt/W09630,default,pd.html?dwvar_W09630_color=Black&start=1&cgid=superstar-current-brock
WWE uploads more 96 Raws, but 3 of them are missing. Now I'm thinking the Pillman stuff wasn't deliberate doing from whoever's running the Network as much as it was just plain incompetence.
We've only had a 20 episode series about it as well as a separate DVD, numerous interviews and it being brought up in other commentaries. Clearly there is more to learn.
I missed it, too. I'll probably watch it later today. I have read nothing but positive reviews though. It's a shame they can't get their stuff together behind the scenes because they've been putting out a consistently good to great show each week for the last year or so.
Gotta go to my in laws in a few minutes. The major artery near me is closed all weekend and all of the major roads are taking the overflow. This 40 minute trip is probably going to take 2 hours.
What does following someone on disqus actually do? I only ask because this bob cat fellow has just started following me, and I got another follower recently who's never posted by the name of "Vince Jordan didn't die 4 this".
Did the random Big Show run in during that match ever lead to anything? I'm pretty sure he wasn't involved in storyline with either guy in the run up to the show and afterwards he started feuding with Kane.
It's telltale so I wouldn't expect anything else haha. I've got great Batman movies, great Batman games, a great Daredevil show now I just need a great Daredevil game. Rocksteady making it would obviously be best case scenario.
I really like Ron and Andy. They never went there too often but when they did it was awesome.
Ron and Andy hanging out in Ron's office grilling steaks and drinking Lagavulin? Come on! Andy and Ron both eating rare steaks. Andy knowing what a religious oligarchy is and of course Andy suggesting they throw a football around to which Ron responds "you are an unstoppable good idea MACHINE!"
I like Demetrious Johnson and his last 4-5 fights have been really exciting but I have never heard of the guy he's fighting. Not once.
When I started watching MMA around 2006-2007 Rampage was the guy who caught my attention most. I looked up his old fights, saw all the slams and brawls in Pride and I was hooked. The personality and everything. He was awesome. But he ain't that guy anymore. He just stands and throws punches.
My favorite Rampage quote was after the Forrest fight(I think) "He whooped my ass. Sometimes you kick their ass and sometimes you get your ass whooped"
Pretty sure he was involved in a #1 contender's match with Rock leading into the show, so he was just butthurt about not being the one in the match I guess. Don't forget, Big Show returned from a few months off at Royal Rumble 2001, got eliminated by Rock, and chokeslammed him through a table.
Sakuraba is my all time favorite, I loved every second of him taking the Gracies one by one. That's probably my favorite MMA feud, good thing Sakuraba avenged Wrestling for us.
Huh. That unrealistic? Damn, I was expecting a movie about teenaged ninja turtles trained by a rat to be fairly easy to suspend disbelief for. Who would have thought it would stretch the bounds of reality so much that they would include a mountain and a fall from a skyscraper.
Correct. This is a very important detail that was left out and I really can't find an excuse for it. Everyone I saw the movie with had exactly the same question.
So I listened to the Steve Austin podcast with his wife Kristin and hearing him joking refer to himself over and over as a "Global icon and national treasure" was hilarious.
I remember hearing about Fedor and couldn't wait to see him (I had never even seen a picture of him). I imagined some cross between Brock Lesnar and Nikita Koloff (you know, since he was Russian) and then I saw him and he was just a regular looking dude. And then I saw him fight, and he was just a beast.
It's so fun to hear Steve kind of at peace with everything. His wife Kristin sounds like a total seaward... but that's probably what a guy like Steve needs.
Michael Bisping had an interview where he said Punk made a huge mistake coming to MMA and "this isn't story time with mom and dad." My question is, are there any MMA fighters out there who don't come off as pretentious pricks?
Bisping is one of the bigger pretentious dicks you'll find. Especially for a guy who has been around so long and never even gotten a title fight. And considering how many guys get title fights just by running their mouths it's actually pathetic he's been running his mouth for 8 years and STILL hasn't gotten a title shot.
That was one of the first live UFC shows I saw. Maybe 1 or 2 before that. I had no idea who Rampage was and had watched some video of Chuck LIddell so I was rooting for him. He came to the ring and I thought he looked fat (not regular guy fat, of course, but UFC Champion fat) and Rampage put a beat down on him.
I strongly disliked Despicable Me. But that's because I have adopted kids, so the stuff about the kids being kept in boxes and Gru trying to return them when he didn't want them anymore, which is funny and fairly harmless to 98% of the world, really upset me.
I've long hated Michael Bisping (since he got a BS decision win over Matt Hamill at a UFC show in England) and I really enjoyed seeing Dan Henderson knock him out a few years ago. But yeah, he's the guy that someone else beats to get a shot at a title.
You weren't there, not nearly long enough for a snack break. I went to get a beer after during Jericho's match. I didn't get back till right before benoit\angle
Finally out of bed at 11:50 PT, just in time for all day hockey and gaming
ReplyDeleteSATURDAY!!!
It's all right.
ReplyDeleteFOR FIGHTING
(but only Saturday night)
<<< Slept till 2.
ReplyDeleteDays like this are the best.
We get it Shelton. You're funny. Stop trying so hard.
ReplyDeleteSettle down there, Rufus Jones.
ReplyDeleteI took the first 10 minutes of my day deciding between Macho Man and Undertaker... this has been one of the tougher rounds so far... what do you think?

"I took the first 10 minutes of my day deciding between Macho Man and Undertaker..."
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like what Stephanie did when she turned 15.
*Top 5 handshake*
:: Top 5 Fist Bump ::
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the fight?
Ugh.
ReplyDeleteNot really. The undercard sucks and the main event won't live up to the hype.
ReplyDeleteIf I wanted to see shit like that I'll watch old WWE PPVs.
Hell who am I kidding, if I wanted to see shit like that I'll watch ANY WWE PPV.
ReplyDeleteIt should be, "hi ok"
ReplyDeleteLive the gimmick.
LeBron made a full court nothing but net shot with a football-style throw because of course he did

ReplyDeleteDavid Blatt is a good coach, but is this the easiest gig you could have as a head coach?
ReplyDeleteExperienced my first earthquake, goddamn it was surreal.
ReplyDeleteThe sign on the back should be it's own shirt.
ReplyDeleteI think you meant to reply to Bonzai lol
ReplyDeleteI'd like to see the JBL one.
ReplyDeleteProbably.
ReplyDeleteHey Spud, you in here?
ReplyDeleteI don't understand the Bischoff vs McMahon rivalry one. I was under the impression the Monday Night War was McMahon vs Ted Turner.
ReplyDeleteSpoelstra with the Heat big 3 was easy, too.
ReplyDeleteJust arrived llol
ReplyDeleteWWE uploads more 96 Raws, but 3 of them are missing. Now I'm thinking the Pillman stuff wasn't deliberate doing from whoever's running the Network as much as it was just plain incompetence.
ReplyDeleteThe big Nepal one?
ReplyDelete(ಥ﹏ಥ)
ReplyDeleteIncompetence from the WWE Network? That's unpossible
ReplyDeleteHow long did it take before you made a "did the earth move for you too?" joke?
ReplyDeleteIt's ok Robert. We get bad emails here all the time. Another gimmick will present itself.
ReplyDeleteWe've only had a 20 episode series about it as well as a separate DVD, numerous interviews and it being brought up in other commentaries.
ReplyDeleteClearly there is more to learn.
Shit I'd be down for all of those. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteHow was Impact last night? I missed it.
ReplyDeletePerfect vs Warrior easily the hardest decision so far
ReplyDeleteI missed it, too. I'll probably watch it later today. I have read nothing but positive reviews though. It's a shame they can't get their stuff together behind the scenes because they've been putting out a consistently good to great show each week for the last year or so.
ReplyDeleteChris Webber, Steve Smith, Jeff Van Gundy, and Brent Barry are the best color commentators in basketball right now.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I saw the reviews that it got so I was curious.
ReplyDeleteGotta go to my in laws in a few minutes. The major artery near me is closed all weekend and all of the major roads are taking the overflow. This 40 minute trip is probably going to take 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteThe latest OSW Review was really good.
ReplyDeleteNo Way Out 2001. Did Earl Hebner catch heat for fucking up the count in the Angle/Rock match? If I was those guys I'd be pissed.
ReplyDeleteWhat does following someone on disqus actually do? I only ask because this bob cat fellow has just started following me, and I got another follower recently who's never posted by the name of "Vince Jordan didn't die 4 this".
ReplyDeleteYeah... but at the end of it... YOU GET TO SEE YOUR IN LAWS!
ReplyDeleteAll I do is win.
ReplyDeleteNever heard of him really having heat but Rock is clearly pissed during the finish
ReplyDeleteSomeone called TNALover41 follows me. Which is odd considering I despise TNA and I'm not shy about it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know you could follow someone.
ReplyDeleteI think Abeyance follows me, or did. I'm not sure though.
ReplyDeleteHe follows me, and pretty much all of the regulars here.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would imagine.
ReplyDeleteDid the random Big Show run in during that match ever lead to anything?
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure he wasn't involved in storyline with either guy in the run up to the show and afterwards he started feuding with Kane.
It seems odd to me, in the sense that if I want to know what someone's posted, I can just read the blog.
ReplyDeleteAlright fuckos, off to work. Gonna eat me a HUGE plate of calamari.
ReplyDeleteKind of a boring day. I'm rewatching Jim Crockett Promotions: The Good Ol' Days until Mets/Yankees start.
ReplyDeleteHe doesn't follow me. I feel snubbed :(
ReplyDeleteYep,felt it all the way here in Delhi
ReplyDeleteNo, they point that in the video. Big Show had won the hardcore title earlier in the evening. It was totally pointless.
ReplyDeleteIt's a really bizarre call, especially since Rock just repeats the Rock Bottom for the finish.
ReplyDeleteTelltale is developing a Marvel game. Let it be Daredevil and my nerdom is complete.
ReplyDeleteHopefully it's a point/click adventure
ReplyDeleteIt's telltale so I wouldn't expect anything else haha. I've got great Batman movies, great Batman games, a great Daredevil show now I just need a great Daredevil game. Rocksteady making it would obviously be best case scenario.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for the Parks and Rec fans.
ReplyDeleteBest non romantic relationship? Easy to go for Leslie and Ann or Leslie and Ron but for me it's Ron and April
Blue Jays better win tonight
ReplyDeleteI really like Ron and Andy. They never went there too often but when they did it was awesome.
ReplyDeleteRon and Andy hanging out in Ron's office grilling steaks and drinking Lagavulin? Come on! Andy and Ron both eating rare steaks. Andy knowing what a religious oligarchy is and of course Andy suggesting they throw a football around to which Ron responds "you are an unstoppable good idea MACHINE!"
That was close but the Ron/April surrogate daughter thing gets me. Ron with anyone is awesome though. Tom always at his best with Ron
ReplyDeleteI agree. Ron has an interesting dynamic with pretty much everyone on the show. Ron and April is probably my #2.
ReplyDeleteWhy? There's like another 140 games
ReplyDeleteJust saved $25/month on my cell phone bill
ReplyDeleteI've heard some people say pink windbreaker guy from the 90s and old photographer guy from the 00s are the same guy, but I'm not so sure...
ReplyDeleteThey basically gave Rampage a tomato can tonight. He must win.
ReplyDeleteRampage used to be my favorite fighter. Now I can't watch him fight.
ReplyDeleteFinally starting DMC: Devil May Cry definitive edition. I'm loving it so far and remembering how much fun these games are.
ReplyDeleteRampage is by far the guy that would make an easy transition to wrestling if went full time.
ReplyDeleteThis card looks boring, Vanilla midget belt on the line, Bisping is now a gatekeeper.
I only hope for a Rampage smash fight.
He said he'll never do pro wrestling again because TNA soured him on it.
ReplyDeleteI was playing on my 360 few minutes ago, I'm on level 17.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the game even if I hated new Dante's personality.
Fuckin TNA.
ReplyDeleteRampage's finisher, dead lift Powerbomb. He and Brock could've worked as a monster heel tag.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nAP5G9Bav5c
ReplyDeleteRampage, KILL!
Seeing as it got great reviews and mentions, I'm going to watch OSW's latest video tonight. Hopefully it's improved from the previous shows.
ReplyDeleteJosh Reddick's at bat music today is Dolph's theme
ReplyDeleteI like Demetrious Johnson and his last 4-5 fights have been really exciting but I have never heard of the guy he's fighting. Not once.
ReplyDeleteWhen I started watching MMA around 2006-2007 Rampage was the guy who caught my attention most.
Still laughing at Ziggler's tweets about Sheamus.
ReplyDeleteDemetrious is okay, he's really good but people look him down because of his size.
ReplyDeleteRampage was pure fun on Pride, too bad he was Wanderley's personal punching bag.
I still think Rampage should try some pro wrestling in Japan. He's said he loves it there and that's where he built his legend.
ReplyDeleteHey he finally got Wanderlei's number!
ReplyDeleteRampage also ended the legend of Chuck Liddell.
Twice.
ReplyDeleteNJPW would pay him big money, they love guys like him. Sapp was a tomato can and had a world title run.
ReplyDeleteRampage/Silva III: Retribution.
ReplyDeleteMirotic will play tonight for the Bulls. Probably on a minutes limit, but good news and a nice surprise.
ReplyDeleteTotally agree. Pride era Fedor is the most entertaining fighter ever. Pride from 2002-2006 is just incredible.
ReplyDeleteBen and Orin.
ReplyDeleteYou had some unexpected good fight, i.e: Sapp/Nogueira, Takayama/Frye.
ReplyDeletePretty sure he was involved in a #1 contender's match with Rock leading into the show, so he was just butthurt about not being the one in the match I guess. Don't forget, Big Show returned from a few months off at Royal Rumble 2001, got eliminated by Rock, and chokeslammed him through a table.
ReplyDeleteSakuraba is my all time favorite, I loved every second of him taking the Gracies one by one. That's probably my favorite MMA feud, good thing Sakuraba avenged Wrestling for us.
ReplyDeleteThe Last Emperor is tops for me. So great. And the music. And his entire demeanor. Fedor is God.
ReplyDeleteHaha Sakuraba just trying to hold on and survive while Rampage takes him for a ride and he endures and chokes him. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteSapp/Nogueira is crazy, the funny thing that the big guy is seen as the underdog.
ReplyDeleteThen... armbar, give up big guy.
ReplyDeleteOkay these Dean Douglas promos at SummerSlam '95 are actually pretty awesome.
ReplyDeleteSomeone calling out the president like that right on national TV and probably saying what a lot of people were thinking. Yea, that's a big deal.
ReplyDeleteI think NBA players and the Rams bringing attention to I Can't Breathe and the Ferguson stuff probably helped bring attention to the issue, yes
That reminds me, Austin's latest podcast is part 1 of a Shane Douglas interview.
ReplyDeleteIron Sheik Physically couldn't get thrown out so he was winning
ReplyDeleteOrin and Chris
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pjy5MK1X70
ReplyDeleteSo much singing
Huh? The match wasn't about "workrate".
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's one match that either stays as is, or gets dumped off the card. All it was was a snack break/nostalgia trip.
ReplyDeleteIs Jared Leto a decent actor? Because he's got his work cut out getting past how retarded the Suicide Squad Joker looks.
ReplyDeleteHe does have an Oscar
ReplyDeleteDoesn't take much, does it?
ReplyDeletePink windbreaker guy was a fan long into the 00s. Him and his green windbreaker lady friend were even in a backstage RAW segment once.
ReplyDeleteDivorce?
ReplyDeleteHuh. That unrealistic? Damn, I was expecting a movie about teenaged ninja turtles trained by a rat to be fairly easy to suspend disbelief for. Who would have thought it would stretch the bounds of reality so much that they would include a mountain and a fall from a skyscraper.
ReplyDeleteRon and Tom
ReplyDelete...it had rules it set for itself? Not even Hamlet did that.
ReplyDelete... and worse the the original ones that were created.
ReplyDeleteCorrect. This is a very important detail that was left out and I really can't find an excuse for it. Everyone I saw the movie with had exactly the same question.
ReplyDeleteit is shit
ReplyDeleteNot mutually exclusive.
ReplyDeleteFirst live action was really really dark and had very little resemblance to the cartoon.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't mean much these days. Hopefully his performance is better than the costume department.
ReplyDeleteSo, um...culture?
ReplyDeleteI can see that. Say, have you ever heard of an art form called sculpture? Just curious.
ReplyDeleteCurrent events? Tell me, have you heard of World War 1?
ReplyDeleteI dunno about news, but his first 2 albums from 2002 were really phenomenal artistic works.
ReplyDeleteDumber. Or a fan of hip hop.
ReplyDeleteKobe Bryant is the most underrated overrated underrated player of all time. That wasn't a typo.
ReplyDeleteSo I listened to the Steve Austin podcast with his wife Kristin and hearing him joking refer to himself over and over as a "Global icon and national treasure" was hilarious.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it takes. If that's the only way for you to hear about it, its kinda unfortunate (or teenage) but as long as you heard.
ReplyDeleteCould Brooklyn's fans not give a bigger shit about the playoffs?
ReplyDeleteor just overrated.
ReplyDeleteI remember hearing about Fedor and couldn't wait to see him (I had never even seen a picture of him). I imagined some cross between Brock Lesnar and Nikita Koloff (you know, since he was Russian) and then I saw him and he was just a regular looking dude. And then I saw him fight, and he was just a beast.
ReplyDeleteThat would require there to be Brooklyn fans. I'm one of them
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to hear Steve kind of at peace with everything. His wife Kristin sounds like a total seaward... but that's probably what a guy like Steve needs.
ReplyDelete"Mmmmmm that's a good shoe shine".
ReplyDeleteMichael Bisping had an interview where he said Punk made a huge mistake coming to MMA and "this isn't story time with mom and dad." My question is, are there any MMA fighters out there who don't come off as pretentious pricks?
ReplyDeleteYou just wrinkled my brain.
ReplyDeleteAnd throwing Prince Albert in there isn't raising the workrate anyhow.
ReplyDeleteGreat time to be a nerd. FCBD coming up, Avengers and then RiffTrax covers The Room on May 6!
ReplyDeleteI think you would find that in any profession where someone from the outside just kind of walks in and has everyone talking about him.
ReplyDeleteBisping is one of the bigger pretentious dicks you'll find. Especially for a guy who has been around so long and never even gotten a title fight. And considering how many guys get title fights just by running their mouths it's actually pathetic he's been running his mouth for 8 years and STILL hasn't gotten a title shot.
ReplyDeleteWait... An Italian guy? Is that for real?
ReplyDeleteSteve Austin not giving two fucks about what Vince and Co. think of him is awesome.
ReplyDeleteHe obviously cares about the state of the current product, and not needing Vince's money, stays at arms length. That must drive Steph and Vince crazy.
Switched to Geico
ReplyDeleteGet rid of the seaward.
ReplyDeleteI'll leave when I'm good and ready.
Tom and anyone
ReplyDeleteHe always lost the contender fight and now is a gatekeeper. Funny thing is that MMA is born out of Pro-wrestling.
ReplyDeleteGreat time to be a nerd. FCBD coming up, Avengers and then RiffTrax covers The Room on May 6!
ReplyDeleteIslanders 2 minutes away from giving us our first game 7 of the NHL playoffs.
ReplyDeleteThat was one of the first live UFC shows I saw. Maybe 1 or 2 before that. I had no idea who Rampage was and had watched some video of Chuck LIddell so I was rooting for him. He came to the ring and I thought he looked fat (not regular guy fat, of course, but UFC Champion fat) and Rampage put a beat down on him.
ReplyDeleteI have no interest in the Dollaway/Bisping fight.
ReplyDeleteDonna and Tom.
ReplyDeleteDid you ever get tickets to a playoff game?
ReplyDeleteBeing a prick is a requirement to be a fighter, isn't it. Nice guy would get killed
ReplyDeleteI love cornette's line about mna doing what.pro wrestling used to do.
ReplyDeleteI strongly disliked Despicable Me. But that's because I have adopted kids, so the stuff about the kids being kept in boxes and Gru trying to return them when he didn't want them anymore, which is funny and fairly harmless to 98% of the world, really upset me.
ReplyDeleteWE GOT A GAME 7 BAYBAY!
ReplyDeleteI've long hated Michael Bisping (since he got a BS decision win over Matt Hamill at a UFC show in England) and I really enjoyed seeing Dan Henderson knock him out a few years ago. But yeah, he's the guy that someone else beats to get a shot at a title.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, Jobber to the stars.
ReplyDeleteIts always cool to see fans at sporting events celebrate by Yes Chanting.
ReplyDeleteThe chant is over, not the wrestler.
ReplyDelete-VKM
"You had me at meat tornado."
ReplyDeleteEven with his kids Bisping acts like a dick.
ReplyDeleteHard to argue with that statement. They're not chanting yes for Bryan at sporting events
ReplyDeleteHaha fans launch into asshole chant. I miss that most from wrestling chants. No one chants asshole anymore.
ReplyDeleteAnd we have our first GM 7 of the NHL playoffs. Let's hope for more!
ReplyDeleteKristin sounds like she takes approximately zero of Steve's shit. I kind of love that about her.
ReplyDeleteI was gonna go today but stubhub wasn't playing ball. so I went and took a nap instead
ReplyDeleteIslanders fans are going full SmarkaMania
ReplyDeleteI just she doesn't ends up like Debra.
ReplyDeleteI'd be alright with The Habs just putting an end to their series.
ReplyDeleteMaybe whoever wins can be the tomato can for Jacare Souza?
ReplyDeleteMan, that guy got boned.
Poor guy, they should feed Rockhold to him.
ReplyDeleteThe Rangers closing out the Coli would be so funny
ReplyDeleteYou weren't there, not nearly long enough for a snack break. I went to get a beer after during Jericho's match. I didn't get back till right before benoit\angle
ReplyDeleteTakes none, and gives it back two fold.
ReplyDeleteThat's not pg
ReplyDeleteI'd also be cool with the Blackhawks wrapping it up in Chicago tonight.
ReplyDeleteConsensus is pretty much everyone hating the joker look Huh? I don't mind a modernized version but his tats are so silly looking
ReplyDeleteUrijah Faber.
ReplyDeleteRockhold looks like a monster against Machida though.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of rooting for Nashville tonight, a GM 7 would be insane between those two
ReplyDeleteOpinion: Cain Velasquez will be KO'd by Werdum.
ReplyDeleteThey're just Knicks fans?
ReplyDeleteDaniel Cormier seems like a swell guy.
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking 6 OT's tonight.
ReplyDeleteHe did this
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M0CfNA12aFw
Anyone who says he's bland can shut up.
Oh, he's still bland as fuck. He's whiter than Chris Weidman
ReplyDeleteThis series has been insane. You may be right. Game 7 in front of those Nashville fans would be mindblowing.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely feeling a couple OT tonight.
Whose to say Debra didn't have it coming. I mean why are we just automatically assuming that she was 100% innocent in the matter?
ReplyDeleteNo one is as bland as Chris Weidman.
ReplyDeleteCain gonna eat that man for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.
ReplyDeleteLet's if he can survive with no injuries until the fight day.
ReplyDeleteI should clarify: he's still a rat, but Italian for some reason.
ReplyDeleteProbably not. But if he does wooooooo he gon eat that man alive.
ReplyDeleteHe's lucky that BROCK LESNAR got bored of MMA.
ReplyDeletelol nope
ReplyDeleteBut I could go for another JDS/Cain fight.
ReplyDeleteHmm no, Cigano already had this shot.
ReplyDeleteBut damn those are fun fights.
ReplyDeleteNo...I got that... But why would he be Italian? That's a weird choice.
ReplyDelete
