Top Matches for WrestleMania 32 Already Planned?
It has been reported that Vince McMahon has already thought up the top six matches for WrestleMania 32. Details of those six matches are scarce but it had been reported that Sting vs. Undertaker was not one of those matches as Vince is negative on the match for some reason and that Daniel Bryan is not included either. Despite no knowledge of his opponent it has reported that the match planned for Cena is "almost a lock" to happen. Also, a HHH & Stephanie vs. Rock & Ronda Rousey match is planned but Dana White has to okay Rousey appearing on the show.

TNA Morale At An All-Time Low?
It was reported that the morale at TNA's TV tapings this past week were at an all-time low. Talent was upset over being kept in the dark about Jeff Jarrett's return and the production staff were upset over learning that after working a PPV and TV tapings in back-to-back days that they will not be paid for the previous set of TV tapings until 7/15 at the earliest. It was also reported that the company was more focused on trying to find out which member of the production staff talked to Brian Fritz from the "Sporting News" about being behind on pay than anything else.

Cena vs Owens number 354?
ReplyDeleteTNA's next PPV should be called "Shoot the Messenger"
ReplyDeleteI just hope it isn't Brock.
ReplyDeleteOK, actually doing Rock/Rousey vs. HHH/Steph is smart, the best choice for a nostalgia match with a new twist on it. As long as Dana oks it, that match can carry the show pretty damn far on its own.
ReplyDeleteVince probably doesn't want to do UT/Sting due to how fast both guys started sucking wind during their matches at this year's show (though they both did better than I personally figured they would), but if he nixed that "dream match" scenario for anything else than doing UT/Cena, the show will fail to hit the mark big time. Austin ain't wrestling, HBK ain't wrestling, & Hogan CAN'T wrestle no matter WHAT he says, so you've got 2 dream matches left after the tag match. One of them needs to happen.
I am still sticking with my there is no way Dana OKs Rousey wrestling at mania.
ReplyDeleteJosh Bredl is said to be Vince McMahon’s favorite in Tough Enough, even if viewers haven’t really caught onto him. Bredl was in the bottom three the first week along with ZZ and Avery.
ReplyDeleteI'd like to LOLTNA, but this is just getting sad at this point. I hate hearing about late pay.
ReplyDeleteAre the TNA wrestlers going to just be wrestlers or TNA wrestlers on GFW tv tapings because if this is all part of invasion stuff TNA could be out of business before the GFW shows air....(obviously IF they ever air is a big question too but still)
ReplyDeleteRegarding WM32: at least Vince is planning things out instead of figuring out what to do a week or two before the show.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. This stuff SHOULD be figured out well ahead of time and built to properly.
ReplyDeleteLet me guess...he's the biggest guy?
ReplyDeleteWhich is what he should be doing...IF...and it's a big if.
ReplyDeleteHe manages to A. actually stick to that plan. and B. has a solid half a year plan to actually get us there and he sticks to that as well. (Minus some on the fly stuff for injuries, etc.)
Nvm, I just checked...yup he's the biggest guy there. Oh Vince.
ReplyDeleteAlso Taker Sting is not happening because Vince doesn't want to take the time and effort to "take the Sting character from obscurity and build it into a Wrestlemania headliner" again
ReplyDeleteThink of all the buys they lost this year with so many people thinking it was going to be a musical performance featuring HHH!
ReplyDeleteNo Impact or NxT Review today ?
ReplyDeleteNo wrestling. An armbar, maybe. But what'll be weird to me is the build up and advertising for the match. Which...being there is fine, but is she actually going to be on the card? Or the posters? Signing autographs at Axxess?
ReplyDeleteThe mixed tag doesn't appeal to me. HHH w/Steph vs Rock w/ fighter lady is personally more appealing
ReplyDeleteRousey in Rock's corner just makes the most sense. If Rock wins, she gets one minute with Steph... then you can do the armbar and don't have to have Steph actually get offense in, which would look silly.
ReplyDelete"Sting vs. Undertaker was not one of those matches as Vince is negative on the match for some reason"
ReplyDeleteUmm...maybe because they have a combined age of 246?
If Reigns isn't champion by WM32 his entire push was for nothing right?
ReplyDeleteRousey sobbing in the corner while Steph berates her wouldn't be physical contact either. They could do that!
ReplyDeleteyes and I can see that happening...its basically a rehash but bigger version of this year..that isn't what people are suggesting though.
ReplyDeleteWith the Japan show on Saturday morning, I'm most interested to see how the crowd reacts to Dolph Ziggler. If he hasn't re-signed, this would be his best option.
ReplyDeleteI don't think Vince can afford to pay the Rock to wrestle any more. He's not getting back in the ring at the risk of losing a movie role. Besides which, Rousey won't be allowed to wrestle, absolutely no way.
ReplyDeleteFighter lady? Rock and Ronda are the two biggest stars in that match.
ReplyDeleteI hope laugh if Steph pinned Ronda with a Pedigree.
ReplyDeleteKevin Owens vs Seth Rollins
ReplyDeleteRoman Reigns vs John Cena
Brock Lesnar vs Cesaro
HHH vs Rock
Dean Ambrose vs Finn Balor
Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn at WM at any level on the card would be an amazing payoff for their feud
ReplyDeleteI'm ignorant, what can I say.
ReplyDeleteI have zero interest to see any of them in a WM match. I look at it more as why should outsiders & office workers come in and get a huge payoff while you have dozens of guys who put in the daily grind get to watch the show on a monitor backstage?
ReplyDeleteFUCKTNA?
ReplyDeleteAlso did Scott stopped doing his NXT review on the other site ?
ReplyDeleteIt may be planned out but I bet we still only get 2 weeks worth of build
ReplyDeleteI'm certain Taker/Cena will happen. Retirement stip.
ReplyDeleteCena vs Orton, or I riot
ReplyDeleteDoes Vince even know who Sami is?
ReplyDeleteWAY too early to plan WM32. You can get ideas by now, but nothing should be set yet.
ReplyDeletePersonally, Survivor Series is the earliest you pen things in, and by Royal Rumble it should be set, but now?
Bobby Roode is enjoying free agency.
ReplyDeleteTNA offers Alpo. GFW offers Purina.
Bobby Roode chooses GFW with tears streaming down his face. Tears of joy.
Yet they still have enough money to pay for fake twitter accounts so they can "trend" and show live tweets during the show ...
ReplyDeleteSaw this while breezing through the evening thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/3bt09i/per_bryan_alvarez_on_wrestling_observer_live/
ReplyDeleteBob Ryder buying tens of thousands of twitter follows is hilarious. Dixie retweeting fake accounts. TNA so bad all the time at all of the things.
He saw him at the NXT San Jose Live Event
ReplyDeleteShould be three blocks:
ReplyDeleteExtreme Rules to Summerslam
Night of Champions to SS/TLC
Royal Rumble to WM
Looking forward to watching those GFW TV tapings when they air- Oh wait.
ReplyDeleteThe Undertaker vs. Sting is beyond useful at this point. When the Streak was alive, maybe. I really would like for fans to just move on from this as a must-see match.
ReplyDeleteHow many times has TNA morale been at an all-time low?
TNAMecca is actually just Ryder too
ReplyDeleteI would get some popcorn and a helmet and die from laughter in the Daily Thread.
ReplyDeleteRorschach might end up buying a sniper rifle in that scenario.
That makes total sense. The one time I (we) went there, there were loads of posts gushing about how awesome it was that Bob Ryder had showed up recently. Seemed strange at the time.
ReplyDeleteEven with the streak ended, I would have liked the Icon vs Icon match last year.
ReplyDeleteCromulent.
ReplyDeleteI wish Sting would have swallowed his pride & just came aboard back in 2002. Deal with the politics but give us the fresh matchups to really look forward to. But at this point, a couple 50 somethings lumbering around the ring on the biggest event of the year? No thank you.
ReplyDeleteSteph needs to be kept strong for the following nights opening talk segment.
ReplyDeleteThat is some Russian government shit.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for the Hogan vs Sammartino dream match.
ReplyDeleteTaping 13 episodes is excessive, but putting together a TV show before you have a TV deal is done all the time in the TV industry.
ReplyDeleteYou can always go lower.
ReplyDeleteDoes he have any say? I have no idea how contracts work in UFC.
ReplyDeleteWasn't Wrestling Society X done like that?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to the DVD I can slot nicely onto the shelf next to The Lost Episodes Of The XWF
ReplyDeleteLower than not getting paid?
ReplyDeleteI think when the doors finally close, there will be a sigh of relief that they don't have to commit to this gig anymore.
How about shaking down the talent for money?
ReplyDeleteNext step is for TNA to actually borrow money from the wrestlers and not pay them back
ReplyDeleteSo many asses, so little time
ReplyDeleteOnly a tight one can stop me on a dime
I'm a lover of every kind
The best surprises always sneak up from behind.
WHOMP-WHOMP!
Actually, I think that's finally a bit of business sense from the two of them. Buying social media followers is a big thing right now. I'm surprised they figured it out and managed to do it.
ReplyDeleteRonda: "The better fighter... the better WOMAN won." :: Slinks away ::
ReplyDeleteDear Dave Meltzer,
ReplyDeleteSTOP MAKING FUN OF US!
Sincerely,
Dixie Carter.
I want to see the match. Or at the least, I'd like to see them both wrestle at the event. Even in 2015.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if that says more about the current state of wrestling or about how good it was in the late 90's. But I'd take the two old guys and shitty workrate over Seth Rollins or Dolph Ziggler. Their entrances alone would be more entertaining.
Set up new account in different name. Accidentally signed her own name. Oh Dixie, you've done it again!
ReplyDeleteTNA, GFW - Vince should rent an hour of Network time to these companies, see how many of the roughly half million viewers they bring with them, and see if he can benefit.
ReplyDeleteI know, you never bet against the McMahons, but there is literally zero chance Ronda eats a pin.
ReplyDelete"Despite no knowledge of his opponent it has reported that the match planned for Cena is "almost a lock" to happen."
ReplyDeleteJohn Cena is planned to have a WrestleMania match? Get the fuck out of here.
Maybe be subtle though. Don't just go from 5k to 70k over night. I always notice when accounts have huge numbers of followers, but somehow nothing they write ever gets more than half a dozen favs or retweets.
ReplyDeleteWWF started planting the seeds for WrestleMania III in the late summer.
ReplyDelete"Oh John...There wouldn't be a WrestleMania without you".
ReplyDeleteThe nerd-rage would crash the servers here.
ReplyDeleteAustin vs Cena - Stunner on a pole match
ReplyDeleteApparently they have his opponent picked out.
ReplyDeleteWith the way the tapings are being done, TNA and GFW for the rest of 2015 will pretty much be in the bag before the summer ends.
ReplyDeleteAnd things were much less compressed back then.
ReplyDeleteThe XWF did a house show in my area, and aired a infomercial hyping it several times. Well, at least they (presumably) got paid when Hulk vs. Hennig was on one of Hogan's discs.
ReplyDeleteI thought Sting vs HHH at 31 was tremendous fun despite Sting's limitations.
ReplyDeleteToo little too late. A year ago, it would've helped. On the verge of cancellation? Looks like the desperate grab it is.
ReplyDeleteSo it's clearly Cena vs. Jarrett and Mania is going to revolve around a GFW invasion with Ronda and Rock part of team GFW AMIRITE?
ReplyDeleteLet me give you the TNA recap - matches were OK but nothing special...nothing we haven't seen...blah blah blah.
ReplyDeleteThere's literally no other explanation for why Cena's opponent is a mystery. Jeff Jarrett holy shit he is so mysterious.
ReplyDeleteYes! We're finally going to get the John Cena vs B2 blow off match! BOO YA!
ReplyDeleteJohn Cena vs The Ryback: Unification Match
ReplyDeleteWatched ROH last night. Think I found some wrestling I enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteYeah. I mean. Sting v. HHH was a fun enough train wreck. Despite the somewhat illogical ending and nonsense build up. But I don't really want to see Taker OR Sting in another match.
ReplyDeleteSuch a weird little promotion. It's total Sullivan 2000 era WCW, with Tony and Lawler on commentary. It comes across as far more of a continuation of WCW than TNA did.
ReplyDeleteROH's booking will put you to sleep.
ReplyDeleteIt's got to be Cena/Taker right? Alright it's lost a whole lot of what could have made it special with Taker losing but they can still put something together that interests us right.
ReplyDeleteI'd also think the Tag Match makes sense in every possible way as the pay off for the Authority angle that should have been paid off two years ago is surely Stephanie tapping?
Outside of that the Shield Triple Threat is losing it's appeal by the day and at this point an argument could be made that you'd make more money by putting them back together.
Brock against somebody. Bryan would be most logical but no way can they count on that at this point. Don't ask me who but if I was booking I'd throw money at Shawn.
Will Owens be ready for a big match by then? Or is a US Title feud (vs Sami perhaps) more likely?
I'm still guessing this is part of the huge mega invasion angle, and Roode is still stuck under contract to TNA.
ReplyDeleteSteph tapping. I've had my humor for the day.
ReplyDeleteAll the fake account retweeting stuff...what ever. The thought that Bob Ryder having more twitter followers would help TNA in anyway...hilarious. TNA is better off having as few people as possible know they are associated with him.
ReplyDelete"Let's do an invasion angle!"
ReplyDelete"Okay, but we don't have any decent wrestlers"
"We'll just give you some of our wrestlers and *they* can invade!"
"Well I don't think that's how invasions work, but okay!"
Aye carumba it's so dumb
Last year would've been the (last) year I was most intrigued by Sting/Taker.
ReplyDeleteThis year? Meh.
Most of Ryder's followers are fake, anyway.
ReplyDeleteHow can you invade yourself?
ReplyDeleteCan I sell my self as a social media follower? For the right price, I might even favorite and retweet stuff.
ReplyDeleteCivil War ?
ReplyDeleteSo I saw on Reddit that the show WWE Vintage is coming to the network. If it's episodes already aired or new episodes is unclear.
ReplyDeleteA TNA civil war? Didn't they have that with Aces and 8s?
ReplyDeleteAND the MEM!
ReplyDeleteAND Immortal!
Not really because the Aces & 8s were outsiders originally
ReplyDeleteTNA is probably the least threatening invader since King Arthur in Monty Python and The Holy Grain
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey0wvGiAH9g
Careful. Steph might come down and kick you off the board for saying that.
ReplyDeleteVince would have to inject Dana White with sedatives and personally manipulate his hand to get him to sign off on Ronda wrestling.
ReplyDeleteTBH, I don't think many on the writing team can remember he was being pushed months ago.
ReplyDeleteMichael Cole's Greatest Moments on Commentary?
ReplyDeleteOf course he does. Why would you think otherwise?
ReplyDeleteThis is the most likely outcome.
ReplyDeleteI did crack up at the part that said "Cena will have a match at wrestlemania." No shit? Really?
ReplyDeleteWhat's hilarious about the Steph/Ronda fantasy booking around here is that when the time comes, McMahons not only lay down clean, but they make the person beating them look like a million bucks and usually end up looking like a total goober themselves. Like, that's what McMahons do in the ring. That's their thing.
ReplyDeleteMy sources told me Roman Reigns my also have a match a WM
ReplyDeleteNo idea why people are missing that. It was written perfectly clearly.
ReplyDeleteNothing is set in stone but seems as if there will be a musical performance at wrestlemania next year.
ReplyDeleteBetween the wwe Tokyo show and njpw dominion, I'm going to be watching a good amount of wrestling this weekend.
ReplyDelete...fuck.
ReplyDeleteSo you're saying there's a chance...
ReplyDelete"Lashley pays Roode, Roode pays Aries, Aries pays MVP, MVP pays Eric Young....."
ReplyDeleteWhile I appreciate the condescension, WWE and UFC aren't necessarily comparable. I'd say that UFC would be a better comparison with boxing. You know that Floyd Mayweather fought at Wrestlemania, right? Like I said, I don't know anything about the contract system in UFC, that's why I asked.
ReplyDeleteI also heard that Seth Rollins and Randy Orton may also be on the card.
ReplyDeletehttps://i.imgur.com/I64CE7G.jpg
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting plot.
I don't see how morale can be low when Jeff Jarrett's around.
ReplyDeleteRumor has it Wrestlemania will take place at Wrestlemania next year. Whether this happens or not, we'll have to wait and see. But all indiciations point towards it most likely happening, maybe.
ReplyDeleteNOT THE BUTTERMILK !
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad the TNA production staff couldn't just refuse to work until they got their money.
ReplyDeleteWatching it now, and i kind of agree, nothing stand up too much, but nothing is bad either. The crowd is pretty hot for the Angle/EC3 match
ReplyDeleteIt's awesome that you get mad at someone for complaining publicly that you didn't pay them.
ReplyDeleteSome guys are installing telephone wire in my office at work. There are two guys on the ladder right now. Have a sudden urge to go push it over and claim the telephone wire as my own!
ReplyDeleteIf only they could be more like those fake twitter follower
ReplyDeleteHey, it's not Dixie's fault those losers didn't consider a painting from Jeff Hardy to be a form of currency!
ReplyDeletePeople love to make lame jokes here.
ReplyDeleteIt's like Office Space. "So every day you see me...I'm having the worst day of my life"
ReplyDeleteDO IT.
ReplyDeleteI fail to see how this plan won't work out for you 100%...go for it.
ReplyDeleteWhen you push them over, you have to climb slow, even though you were just doing normal activity the moment before.
ReplyDeleteCome on guys, it said " the match planned for Cena" is set in stone. Whether it's vitally interesting news or not, the news is "John Cena's Wrestlemania match is set in stone" not "John Cena will wrestle at Mani"
ReplyDeleteI can't go on a ladder without doing the hardy hand sign.
ReplyDeleteSeriously right. Do these guys have no concept of leverage and negotiations? What a bunch of doofuses
ReplyDelete*casually hiding under my desk right now for a surprise attack*
ReplyDeleteAgreed, I'm just tired of seeing McMahons. I wouldn't be sad if they never appeared on TV again.
ReplyDeleteHope the camera guys are focused on the guy on the ladder so it truly looks like you came out of nowhere
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about watching a buncha Bashes this weekend on the Network for the Fourth. But I've already seen the ones I like so many times that I don't think I really want to do that.
ReplyDeleteClimb in the filing cabinet and spear one of them off.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I would hate TNA if their fans were not the worst people ever.
ReplyDeleteWith the number of spots they miss due to replays and other crap its seems they checked out a long time ago
ReplyDeleteDixie Carter severely pisses me off.
ReplyDeleteShe's a fan who ever so happens to run the company. She's included.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. I didn't mind the shenanigans at the end, though would have loved Goldberg to run in and clean house on both DX and the NWO to clear the way for a Sting victory. Never was going to happen due to Vince's WCW-derangement syndrome.
ReplyDeleteBash 09 is the best WWE one for the Jericho/Mysterio match alone.
ReplyDeleteI'm picturing Hardy like creepy Todd from Wedding Crashers, painting other TNA wrestlers and employees while they sleep.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to get through Bash 90 right now.
ReplyDeleteI've only seen Pillman vs. Landel and Rotunda vs. Sheik.
Baseball season keeps interrupting.
"You sleep now ECIII"
ReplyDeleteI find the tough enough recap insufferable, not unlike the raw recaps he does...I had hopes he'd turn things around, but, nah, he's even worse. Fuck NPP for making him worse.
ReplyDeleteBe sure and swing from the wire for a few moments in order to generate a visual that will be used in future office orientation videos.
ReplyDeleteMatt Perri would find flaws in Steamboat/Flair's trilogy.
ReplyDeleteCena should wrestle Manu at Mani.
ReplyDeleteFor the record, today and tomorrow is Canerica Day in my little world. The two days between Canada Day and Independence Day.
ReplyDeleteI'm working on my own holiday.
They should just do it for the love of wrestling, no?
ReplyDeleteI believe I heard Shawn on a podcast say that they did offer him a bunch of $$$$ to come back and he didn't bite.
ReplyDeleteTrst
ReplyDeleteLandel during his second brief run in WCW, right.
ReplyDeleteFun fact: fast food drive-thrus do NOT like when you open the window from the outside
ReplyDeleteThat's the Wall up there, brother. (Yeah, I know the guy died years ago - but that is my Hogan quote for the day.
ReplyDeletewell to make money for one thing.
ReplyDeleteCertainly hope so - as good as Shawn/Brock, Shawn/Rock or Shawn/Bryan would be to see - the guy went out in absolute style against his greatest opponent (in ring) in a classic.
ReplyDeleteThe first time I used a ladder with the FD I actually stopped and said "I think this is the first time I climbed a ladder and either didn't do the hardy sign or jump off" haha
ReplyDeleteWas Cody hurt, or has he just not been around since Dusty passed?
ReplyDeleteBest PG-era feuds:
ReplyDeleteJericho/HBK, CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy, Jericho vs. Rey Mysterio, CM Punk vs. Rey Mysterio, Batista vs. Cena, CM Punk vs. John Cena, Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena, Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk, Daniel Bryan vs. HHH, Shield vs. WWE. That's all I got right now.
As long as you have someone screaming out "Climb the Ladder, Kid! Make Yourself Famous!"
ReplyDeleteOf course HBK vs. Undertaker too.
ReplyDeleteWell no ROH review either ? Did they also "quitted" the blog ?
ReplyDeleteRock v Cena did the most buys in the history of the business...
ReplyDeleteKyle usually runs a little late with RoH.
ReplyDeleteROCK BOTTOM ONTO THE LADDER!
ReplyDeleteTitanic also did way better than Pulp Fiction at the box-office. Does it mean it's a better movie?
ReplyDeleteStar ratings don't pay the bills.
ReplyDeleteIm glad Taker vs Sting is out. The HHH match was bad enough
ReplyDeleteMiz-Mizdow if we ignore everything before Wrestlemania and use 2K15 as a proper blowoff.
ReplyDeleteClimbing ladders scares the hell out of me. I usually get to the fourth rung and that's it.
ReplyDeleteQuantity does not also mean quality.
ReplyDeleteTrips-Sting was one of the most fun matches I've ever seen! we were losing our minds in person when the NWO came out.
ReplyDeletefucking goddamnit
ReplyDeleteTo each his own I guess
ReplyDeleteHHH/Sting was so much fun. Aftermath aside, that's how nostalgia should be done.
ReplyDeleteWith Bryan's injury of course their is no plans for the guy, I want to know if Owens is in the mix for the "top 6" matches. Also the mixed tag is fine as long as it doesn't get the main event slot.
ReplyDeleteHey! No fun in our wrestling dammit!
ReplyDeleteThe Rock vs. Brock Lesnar. That's the main event. Just do it & collect money.
ReplyDeleteYea I really dug that match
ReplyDeleteFloyd Mayweather is not under contract to anyone but himself. That's why it took so long for Mayweather/Pacquiao to happen. There is no central governing body that handles the contractual details for boxers.
ReplyDeleteThe way UFC contracts work is pretty common knowledge and is in no way similar to boxing. Educate yourself.
I did the same thing lol. Ready to go in a window, waiting for Rhyno to boost me up. Marking at work
ReplyDeleteThe WWE Universe...is a patchwork mosaic, brother!
ReplyDeleteSpoiler alert
ReplyDeleteExactly, it was fun and a good nostalgia moment. I don't think anyone was expecting a workrate classic out of this
ReplyDeleteedit: these little kids who clearly had no idea who the nwo were kept staring at us like idiots and we felt old.
ReplyDeleteAnybody who doesn't see this is a moron, I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite part of the TNA story in the Observer is that Jarrett wasn't on the format. If WWE has a surprise they just leave a hole in the show. But TNA had a full 2 hour format, then all of a sudden JJ came out.
ReplyDelete"So the production people, the wrestlers, the announcers, and almost everyone had a two hour format when suddenly Jeff & Karen Jarrett came out. Jeff was wearing a Global Force Wrestling T-shirt and he cut a promo that was a mixture of reality and storyline. Because of that, some of the later matches were cut short and the show had to be edited to fit into the two hour format which had almost no time to be done. The representative from Destination America at the tapings was asking how come there was a segment that wasn't on the format and why was someone promoting a wrestling company that isn't on their station."
I got a laugh out of that
ReplyDelete
