AJ Lee

Hi Scott,

With all of the recent (and not-so-recent) news involving CM Punk, I am legitimately surprised that AJ Lee hasn't been turfed from WWE by now. It's not like they have a dearth in the "Total Diva" department, especially now with the Bellas in the title picture.

Do you see AJ getting released anytime soon as collateral damage in the Punk/WWE feud?

No, because they probably realize that Punk is going to stray as soon as he finds his next conquest and that'll be it for the marriage.  In fact, I wouldn't be shocked if he was cheating on her with Paige as we speak.

HOW COULD YOU, PUNK?  SHE'S YOUR WIFE!  YOU BASTARD!

Comments

  1. Then why would Punk get married in the first place? I don't think he's that stu

    ReplyDelete
  2. Or they believe that Punk is going to come back ***FINGERS CROSSED***

    ReplyDelete
  3. I'm still shocked that he got married. He never really seemed to be that type.

I still mourn for the Daniel Bryan-AJ onscreen pairing.

    ReplyDelete
  4. One more reason to hate Punk. Lucky son of a bitch.

    Paige > AJ tho.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I don't agree with that at all.

    ReplyDelete
  6. No, they don't have a dearth in the diva department, but I'm pretty confident in saying AJ outsells all the other divas combined in merch numbers.

Also, as long as she isn't causing problems, her job is safe.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Why does any guy who gets married cheat on his spouse? Pick a reason and there's no reason it can't apply to Punk.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I feel like some of the guys here are a little too interested in CM Punk's sex life and really enjoy speculating on how he is in relationships. Just an observation.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Paige is cute in still photos, but 60% of her "emotion" faces look like she's about to cry.

Also, I've found there are two types of female British accents. One kind is sexy and the other kind makes the speaker sound retarded or completely braindead. Paige's isn't the first kind.

    ReplyDelete
  10. But what about the brand new Brie Mode shirts!?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Paige looks like a teenage boy on the track team about to cry. Nothing about her is womanly. She's a skinny British girl with no breasts, thighs, or ass. Not what I'm interested in sexually at all.

    ReplyDelete
  12. So they're only "women" if you're interested in them sexually? Paige isn't really my type either, but it's not like she's Pat from SNL.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I find it more funny that Punk is a stay at home husband while his wife is the only steady paycheck.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Maybe he was planning to leave the business anyway and figured not being around new women wrestlers all the time would remove the temptation. Not a whole lot of hot trim in the world of podcasting and comic books.

I'd watch his ass around Hayley Williams, though. They're awfully chummy and I'd bet good money he'd tag that shit in half a second and not give it a second thought.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Just wait until those podcasting checks start rolling in!

    ReplyDelete
  16. Or a brand new season of the MTV show Punk'd with him replacing Ashton Kutcher as the host.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Yup, if they can wring money out of AJ, she's welcome in the company.

I think she'll eventually leave on her own, though. All divas seem to do so.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Don't get me wrong, AJ is smokin. I just have a thing for the gothier look.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Do dudes actually make money podcasting?

    ReplyDelete
  20. I'm sure Steve Austin does.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Paige (and AJ) is my type, but I still love the reference

    ReplyDelete
  22. It wouldn't surprise me if he only breaks even on it. Just something else to keep his name out there.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Before I started watching "Maron," I knew nothing about the podcasting world. I know it's a fictitious show, but it's created by a guy who really does podcast and he seems to portray himself as doing OK money-wise.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 18 more minutes of work; disappointed no Impact thread in time for me to BS on!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Marc Maron was the guy I was thinking of in regards to podcasters and money...but he's also a well-known and respected stand-up so maybe that's where his money comes from.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah. AJ has very womanly thighs. A nice tan. And a beautiful face. Paige looks like a young boy kept in a cellar away from the sun.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That first part is a stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  28. I was commenting on others saying Paige was hotter than AJ. To me hotter means sexually attractive.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You're a stretch.

    ReplyDelete
  30. It normally pops up around 5-10 minutes before the show.

    ReplyDelete
  31. This seems to be AJ's passion, so I think she'll leave when she either wants kids or is just too old to keep up.

    ReplyDelete
  32. WWE reducing most of Punk's merch to 3 bucks reminds me why I love Vince's asshole nature.

    ReplyDelete
  33. He probably already has.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Time and again it has been proven that Vince will work with just about anyone who makes him money, no matter what happens between them. AJ Lee is one of the few Divas who actually makes the company money. And while CM Punk is not on the best terms, he made the company millions of dollars and Vince would obviously work with him again if differences could be worked out.

No reason to treat AJ poorly because of something her husband did.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I would say some do, but most don't. Adam Carolla makes a truck load of money off his.

    ReplyDelete
  36. OK. It's just that you said Paige isn't "womanly," then described what wasn't womanly about her, then said she's not what you're interested in sexually. So I tied all of those together and thought you meant womanly = sexually attractive.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Plus, if there was any way AJ could prove she was let go because the boss didn't like her husband (who doesn't work there), I'm sure she could take legal action and win.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm kind of surprised the Nerdist podcast isn't on there.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Sorry for the confusion. Hopefully, were on the same Paige now. Have yourself a great night.

    More like 2 minutes before.

    ReplyDelete
  41. ... but I thought you didn't want to be on Paige.

    :)

    ReplyDelete
  42. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 6:58 PM

Ok, the cellar part was funny.

    ReplyDelete
  43. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:00 PM

    Impact thread up?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I can't stand her but she's absolutely without question the most (only?) over Diva on the roster. I even skip over the divas segments in andy or who ever else's raw recaps I read so I literally have no idea what's going on storyline wise with anyone but the Bella's dumb feud. Is AJ in the big angle or is she getting buried?

    ReplyDelete
  45. And despite all of the disagreements it seems that Punk and Vince have a somewhat good relationship.

    ReplyDelete
  46. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:03 PM

She was in a biggish angle, but then the Bella feud eclipsed it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. AJ is definitely the only diva on raw the fans are in to. I can't believe Vince wouldn't be enough of a pro to not care who her husband was. I definitely wouldn't much past Vince but I can't see him getting that personal over business. Its not like AJ is some other random Diva. She actually sells merch. I can't see it. I'd say VKMs greed outweighs his pettiness/

    ReplyDelete
  48. OK but is she getting a push like before?

    ReplyDelete
  49. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:05 PM

I guess I'm going to use this as the Impact thread for now.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Speaking of IFC, does anybody here watch Garfunkel and Oates?

    ReplyDelete
  51. What's the main event?

    ReplyDelete
  52. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:07 PM

Not really, now it's getting thrown under the bus for the Bella's, to the point where the title is on the line with one of the Bella's competing.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I do! It's a cute show.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Wasn't it both Bellas in the match?

    ReplyDelete
  55. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:07 PM

    I don't know, I haven't read any spoilers.

    ReplyDelete
  56. You know, it's not like I ever knew Kerry had one foot towards the end, but I really don't get how there's been multiple one legged guys in wrestling history.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I don't know either, but this one-legged kid needs a better finisher.

    ReplyDelete
  58. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:08 PM

From what I recall only Nikki was a added to the match. Looks like they will finally have the Divas title on Total Divas.

    ReplyDelete
  59. The real thread just went up.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Impact thread is up.

    ReplyDelete
  61. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:09 PM

    Oh, cool thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Some kinda meta kick to the ass

    ReplyDelete
  63. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:09 PM

    Heading there now.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Whatever happened to Zack Gowan? He came along right around the time I stopped watching wrestling for a while. So the last thing I remember about him was he was supposed to have a match with Vince and/or HHH on a major PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'd argue it actually makes sense because professional wrestling has a real circus element to it. Its the kind of freak show thing someone might want to see I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Basically the same here. Vaguely familiar there was a Zack, no clue where he went. He was the one they signed by mistake, no?

    ReplyDelete
  67. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:10 PM

    He's on the independent circuit.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Eh, as freak show, yeah, but wouldn't the narrative be every heal just trying to knock the leg off? Can't see it working in corporate wrestling

    ReplyDelete
  69. So she's basically being pushed for the Bella's angle? Is that basically the deal?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Speaking of sideshows, has Craaaaaazy Steve won a match yet in TNA? Can't remember the last time somebody who's supposed to be a relevant act debuted already in jobber mode.

    ReplyDelete
  71. "Yep Mode" ABeyAnce1©September 10, 2014 at 7:12 PM

Yeah, getting shoehorned in just so that the title will go to a Bella.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Well there's also a little bit of that inspirational "we can achieve anything" message mixed in with that so you could get away with that in the corporate climate I think but we all know what is really is with this kind of programming/

    ReplyDelete
  73. WrestleMania 31 main event: Daniel Bryan vs. John Cena vs. Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar: A Bella in every corner!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. I guess straight edge only concerns drugs and alcohol and doesn't have anything to do with who/how many chicks you sleep with.

    ReplyDelete
  75. AJ moves quite a bit of merchandise, I think. Like, to a degree beyond any female they've had since the Lita years. Maybe more?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Yeah, everything I've read indicates that the divide is more between Punk/Hunter or Punk/Creative, not so much Punk/Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  77. how many guys have left on bad terms/feuded with Vince only to come back later for a HOF induction/second run? while it seems all bad now between them, i fully expect Punk to miss the business and Vince/HHH to forgive and them to do business again in the future, be it next year or 5 years from now.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Most straight edgers that aren't hardcore true-til-death skip the sex part of the supposed sXe "code" or obscure it by saying it's no PROMISCUOUS sex, so you know, if you go on a date-type-thing first and talk to her again afterwards, it's totally cool.

    ReplyDelete
  79. this needs more upvotes

    ReplyDelete
  80. I think the royalty thing and the response of cutting all of his merch to liquidate it ASAP at the lowest price possible suggests their relationship isn't super right now. Of course, Vince could get over that tomorrow, but I think fucking with his money is a quick way to end up on his shit list.

    ReplyDelete
  81. It called believing in the morals of the bible until it doesn't fit your gameplan. Men are all about sex. Porn wouldn't be the industry it is if it wasn't.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 10, 2014 at 7:46 PM

Seriously dude, fuck off. What do we have to do to get Mr. Morals here out of here?

    ReplyDelete
  83. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomerySeptember 10, 2014 at 7:57 PM

I'll go it on a limb and say she's probably the only Diva who moves merch

    ReplyDelete
  84. Punk is getting Jesse Ventura-ed.

    ReplyDelete
  85. She'd never be able to prove that, especially as an independent contractor (ICs have basically no rights and no chance of winning a wrongful termination suit) and especially after this much time has lapsed since the working relationship between her husband and her (& his former) employer ended.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Within three years? Maybe.

    Within three months? Highly unlikely.

A straight edge guy does tend to have a little self discipline.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I bet he went into that decision with a little more thought than that.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Huh? Most straight edges I've ever met are agnostic or atheist.

    ReplyDelete
  89. I honestly think Vince in a way kind of see's Punk like a son simply because much of their personality is alike.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Uh.....isn't he pretty heavily invested in real estate?

    ReplyDelete
  91. Where I went to high school there was a huge Christian hardcore sXe scene.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Maybe he just found the right one.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I'm actually completely shocked Vince and company didn't bury the ever loving shit out of her.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Jake had some big testicles handling that king cobra out there.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Having multiple partners doesn't make you morally corrupt. There's nothing wrong with having multiple partners.

    ReplyDelete
  96. Eh, the age thing is a little bit more pronounced between them, I don't imagine Punk as a cradle-robber.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Seems all it would take is one WWE employee stupidly sending an email or getting caught on tape saying the real reason AJ was let go.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Just watched a guy on an indy show here in Northern California called Hip Hoppin Harry who's got one leg also. There should be a tag team!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Which would be extremely unlikely to happen.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Self-discipline is a funny thing in that you can have it in one area and completely lack it in another. It's not necessarily an across-the-board thing.

    ReplyDelete
  101. This is true, but here is the rub: straight edges have morals. Where do you think these morals come from? I'll tell you, they are in the bible. And yet, they still reject God because they want to be their own god. I mean the bible says drunkenness will not inherit the kingdom of heaven -- and therefore these atheists will get by -- thinking if God does exist that their good works will save them. It is not about good works, it's about God's mercy. God has the right - because He created us -- to snap His fingers and wipe us off the face of the earth. Instead, He came down to earth on the flesh and died in our place instead.

    ReplyDelete
  102. You don't hate me. You hate Christ that is in me.

    ReplyDelete
  103. More unlikely: Punk returns, or AJ does an episode of Michelle Beadle's new Grantland podcast?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Virgil's Gimmick TableSeptember 11, 2014 at 11:10 AM

No, I really dislike religious nutjobs that try to push their crazy religious soliloquies off on everyone. This is a blog about wrestling. Not your love affair with Jesus. No one wants to hear it. Seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  105. But the Bible says deny Me and I'll deny you in front of My Father. We are called to share the gospel with the lost. That is my call in life - it is the only reason God hadn't taken me home yet.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Unfortunately, I don't think we can ban someone from a message board for preaching religion. This is America, after all.

    (What's that? It's actually a Canadian's website?)

    Yeah, FUCK YOU.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Just ignore him.

...I'm sorry, should I have capitalized the word "him?"
