Update on Vince McMahon Addressing the Crowd During the Taping of Smackdown
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the story of Vince berating the fans for their behavior and being upset over the WWE Network were false. Vince did address the crowd and tried to rile them up as he felt that they were flat but that there were no mentions of the Network and that Vince was playing his heel character for the crowd.

Make some noise, dammit!
ReplyDeleteBayless is not dead. Hurray.
ReplyDeleteHeyman's calling out a Tommy Dreamer on twitter. About time.
ReplyDelete*fart*
ReplyDelete"According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com, the story of Vince berating

I haven't seen any reports of him doing it b/c of them being upset over the Network, and everything to do with them being non-responsive.
And what does Mike Johnson know, anyway? I think Vince's actions were more than just him being a heel. He was able to get away with it as a heel, but he wasn't being a heel just to be a heel.
Which Tommy Dreamer?
ReplyDeleteOh sure, show up 3 hours late, and just act like nothing happened, like you own the place... You... You...
ReplyDeleteAH DAMN IT, HOW CAN I STAY MAD AT YOU???
Are you accept my challenge or what, Bayless?
ReplyDeleteOpps, good catch.
ReplyDeleteWhy bother? Bayless doesn't pay attention to the black man. Look at how he treats us on BoD RAW. All I want is ONE MORE MATCH at DBSM's C+ title. What do I get? Radio silence.
ReplyDeleteI think it's time that we form our own Speed Force, Jef. Spread the word to Devin Harris.
what did he say?
ReplyDeleteIf you're looking for someone to do speed with, contact Jobber.
ReplyDeleteHe's not black enough.
ReplyDeleteSo the guy from the company that supplies our paper supplies pulls up in the company van with his system turned all the way up. Seriously you can hear it from up the street. It was like this:
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/A33O7KFrrK0
That's the fix we all needed, now we can make it until tomorrow.
ReplyDelete20141111_RGotN_v2.gif
ReplyDeleteWho're you? I've never seen you post before. And now we're "we" with you?
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GYJrx7o5iOo
ReplyDeleteThe fat one.
ReplyDeletehttp://youtu.be/JLCq8xCcWh8
ReplyDeleteI kinda just show up every couple months, make a couple of posts, mostly stupid, and then disappear again. And yes, the fix of the daily update was needed.
ReplyDeleteDreamer made some comment about not being paid for his banners or something, Heyman made a couple of tweets suggesting Dreamer's not as up front and honest as he acts and plays the victim.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Dreamer asked when he was gonna get paid for the ECW banners, and Heyman went off.

Lurk on, my brother!
ReplyDeleteAre we having a real life Scott vs. Caliber situation here?
ReplyDelete$$$/
table
Oh, I was kind of hoping that he was telling him to quit living in the past and to move on. Guess not. :(
ReplyDeleteDEATH TO PART TIMERS!!!
ReplyDeleteDude's just a dude, not a 3 month old sub thrown in the trash.
ReplyDeleteWhat challenge is that
ReplyDeleteone of the best segments ever.
ReplyDeleteVideo of Vince's tirade:
ReplyDeletewww.wrestlingrumors.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Vince-McMahon-Smackdown-Tapings.mp4?_=1
Here. Let me fix that:
ReplyDeletehttp://38.media.tumblr.com/fbc299c5c9193ac47ef949bb485294f0/tumblr_nd4uhor9iA1ru873no1_400.gif
Well that was....anti-climactic.
ReplyDeleteThat's what she said
ReplyDeleteThat looked totally harmless, and just a "pick me up" for the crowd.
ReplyDeleteYeah!!!!!!!!.....wait a minute......
ReplyDeleteHeyman's tirade against David Bixenspan made my head hurt. Paul reminds me of a woman who will run an argument into the ground over one specific word used in the course of a fight.
ReplyDeleteAt least you got that far. You're making progress.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why they'd need a pick me up...
ReplyDeleteIt's also what I said. Apparently it happens to a lot of guys
ReplyDeletePeople acted like he went all Michael Richards on the crowd.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the video, it's not really Vince being a heel, it's him totally throwing a tantrum. Vince doesn't even have a heel persona right now.
ReplyDeleteDreamer should thank Paul Heyman every night before he goes to bed for giving him a respectable career. Dreamer is the classic example of a guy who wasn't going to make it anywhere else doing good business with Paul.
ReplyDeleteIf my team wins my valet gets you in the ring for 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteIf you win my valet is your servant for 24 hours.
Standard wrestling challenge..what could go wrong?
Well, it is the PG era...
ReplyDeletelulz, 50/50 bookings!!
ReplyDeleteI still think it's really embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteWasn't it said that Raven and Dreamer did a good portion of the booking when ECW was in its prime?
ReplyDeleteWell, that was a bit anticlimactic Vince.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry yo. There's a support group for that. It's called the Blog of Doom and...oh wait. We're already here!
ReplyDeleteI took it as a sort of playful "work". Like it's the same shit they've been saying to each other for years and years and years.
ReplyDeleteI love you, Dream Woman!
ReplyDelete...speak for yourself.
ReplyDeleteBAKE IT.
ReplyDeleteSHAKE IT.
ReplyDeleteBOOTY QUAKE IT.
ReplyDeleteThe Network issue had nothing to do with Vince coming out, and everything to do with the crowd being deader than shit for the shit they were being peddled. For that reason alone, it's embarrassing.
ReplyDeleteSo basically...Vince cut a Mr. McMahon promo and a newz site took it and decided Mr. McMahon was a real person?
ReplyDeleteI still love that they're over their with duct tape on their ring banners, that's the part of this everyone is forgetting to make fun of.
This needs to be handled in the squared circle with a contract signing.
ReplyDeleteIn the PG Era, that IS going Michael Richards.
ReplyDeleteThis is definitely an improvement over "John Cena tries his best to put on angry militant lesbian face."
ReplyDeleteI drink enough coffee that I don't need speed.
ReplyDeleteI know Raven did. Not sure about Dreamer. Depending on which ideas were his, that could lead to blame or praise. You know ECW.
ReplyDeleteI'veI've been having trouble finding 5 songs that I've heard in these lists.. I'm still voting though because it's my civic duty!
ReplyDeleteU2 "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me". Outstanding song. One of the few U2 songs that don't make me want to smash my face into a wall.
ReplyDeleteI kind of have a soft spot for Beautiful Day, otherwise U2 doesn't really cut it at all.
ReplyDeleteToo many WWE Montages ruined that song for me.
ReplyDeleteI think I might just love this song because: Batman. That soundtrack also had Kiss From A Rose on it, another awesome 90s song. And the next shitty Batman movie had the Pumpkins incredibly badass "End Is The Beginning Is The End". Batman soundtracks ruled.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, did they do a HHH montage to that a while back? I'd forgotten.
ReplyDeleteYeah, off the first quad injury IIRC, around the time My Sacrifice was also getting abused for those WWE Desire videos.
ReplyDeleteI still have most of them.
It's one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteCHALLENGE ACCEPTED
ReplyDeleteThose pre-match promo videos WWE did to proper songs are sorely missed. I remember some awesome ones before the Steiner-HHH matches that stick out in particular.
ReplyDeleteI love this country, NASA's twitter is on overdrive trying to correct every idiot congratulating them on the Philae landing, lol.
ReplyDelete*Evil smirk*
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the biggest u2 fans and yea, I love that song.
ReplyDeletemust have been Darryl from The Office
ReplyDeleteNo problem. Nothing bad ever happens in contract signings.
ReplyDeleteOne of my company's client just hired a JCena today...
ReplyDeletehttp://truckyeah.jalopnik.com/rich-eisens-nfl-network-tv-truck-reportedly-stolen-befo-1658003162/+tcraggs22
ReplyDeleteUm, whoops?
It was a taped RAW, yet ratings only dipped slightly, so obviously more Authority & John Cena are what's Best For Ratings™.
ReplyDeleteThey filled the "Doctor of Thuganomics" position?
ReplyDeleteI remember reading about a Rhyno vs. Tajiri or someone match on a Smackdown house show that had Vince come out about 4 minutes in and cancel the match because it sucked and wasn't getting the crowd involved.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Kane/Rollins vs. Cena/Ryback on RAW.
ReplyDeleteFEED ME MORE.........................of that matchup.
ReplyDeleteOr ratings went down and we need more McMahon-Levesques for credibility.
ReplyDeleteQuestion for the group, not trying to be snarky or anything: Does anyone here pay attention to the ratings of your other favorite TV shows besides wrestling?
ReplyDeleteNot really.
ReplyDeleteI occasionally will pay attention to a popular HBO show, and/or other shows compared to NFL.
Really, in terms of local economic impact, Wrestlemania is everything the Super Bowl claims to be.
ReplyDeleteThat's a DID YOU KNOW that's actually true, but it would fly over the heads of 90% of the audience.
Its good to know I'll be able to see them wrestle on every show for the rest of the year!
ReplyDeleteOnly if they're available to see when I look up the RAW rating. All my other favorite shows are good so I don't have wish for the ratings to fall off a cliff and force wholesale changes.
ReplyDeleteIts like the Megapowers vs. Megabucks of the 21st century. Or not.
ReplyDeleteIf I told you right after mania 30 that Cesaro would be a jobber that is barely on TV and ryback would be getting a main event push in November out of nowhere, would you thought I was wrong or just being a troll?
ReplyDeleteOnly occasionally if I'm afraid a show might be canceled or something.
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm kinda obsessed with ratings, i check them whenever tvbtn posts them each day.
ReplyDeleteSo I read that Dreamer is being a douche to Heyman. Without Heyman, he is a nobody. The dude sucked at wrestling. Heyman made him.
ReplyDeleteI didn't watch a lot of ECW, but it seemed odd to me that his nickname was "The Innovator of Violence" but I don't remember him doing anything more original than hitting people with Singapore canes and chairs.
ReplyDeleteAt least it's not NASCAR's Twitter.
ReplyDeleteIm still blown away that at the height of Hulkamania all they did to make the Wrestlemania V banners was peel the gold off of the roman numeral I that came before the V. You can see the outline of the I still on the banner.
ReplyDeleteIs that the "The End is Near" song they'd use for the Invasion and for a few Armageddon PPVs?
ReplyDeleteBATMAN FOREVER SOUNDTRACK!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAll I saw was a tweet where I thought he was obviously joking where he said he never got paid for some ecw banners they showed in the new ECW doc and then heyman flipped his shit. Heyman mentioned a lot of guys kept merch and ECW memorabilia they sold to settle some debts.
ReplyDeleteHe's the innovator of having a career of mundane matches.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people think falling through a table and staple gunning your nuts makes you a great worker. I actually liked Dreamer as a character but shit like the Da Baldies and the gangstas and tpe etc made me kinda hate ECW fans at that time because it was all garbage. Still I loved sabu when I was like 14 and thought he was best wrestler in the world lol
ReplyDeleteMost ECW fans are complete idiots.
ReplyDeleteInnovator of wrestling in a t-shirt
ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of ECW, but mostly for their 1998 and before stuff. I've seen everyone of their PPV's in chronological order and they go from decent to extremely awful. I respect what ECW did for the business, but I'd say for every good match they had, you had to watch 15 brawls. Their storylines were fun for the most part until they got to the Network stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, there aren't many ECW shows that I will go out of my way to watch again. I'm fine with a match here and there, but I could easily put 15-20 matches onto a DVD and never have to watch anything else ECW again.
I would have assumed you were trolling in some way.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least you know he won't quit. Plus, he'll hustle, show loyalty, and display respect, so there's that.
ReplyDelete"Job qualifications: Must win, LOL"
ReplyDeleteThat's what Linda said
ReplyDeleteWHAAAAT? He besmirched Bix?
ReplyDeleteMan, I remember when WWE's video packages were just awesome. That's one impression I've gotten from watching old stuff on the Network.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I remember Keller (or someone) saying Rhyno just stood there staring at McMahon, not knowing if he was being ribbed or not.
ReplyDeleteThe Offspring's "Smash It Up" also rules.
ReplyDeleteI'll take a gander every now and then to see how it's doing.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching Raw from 3-25-02. Tazz v. Mr. Perfect opens the show...Perfect taps out, and then just straight-up claims that he didn't tap after the match. So great. That's the kind of slimy old-school heel shit I miss.
ReplyDeleteI know 2002 is considered to mostly be a shitty year, but is it maybe better than it's given credit for?
I can't recall ever having sought out such information. I remember that I always assumed The Office did an enormous number every week and was surprised when I learned that wasn't the case. That's how little I'm aware of ratings.
ReplyDeleteI've been going through the RAW and Smackdown's from 2002 so I may be able to help.
ReplyDeleteEverything from January to WrestleMania is both bad and very frustrating. Both shows actually feel a little better after the brand split because they feel fresher and begin to establish their roster. I'm only in June of 2002 so I can't comment any further. But SmackDown has started to improve, RAW is mostly boring.
Innovator of Violence is a really awesome nickname.
ReplyDeleteRock leading the crowd in a "YOU ARE/AN ASSHOLE" chant is just spectacular.
ReplyDeleteThat was great. Crowd kept it going for like a minute too.
ReplyDeleteFall 2002 is when things get really bad. And yea, the buildup to Mania was awful
ReplyDelete
