Saturday Night Live is all new at 11:29pm EST with former cast member Chris Rock returning to host with Prince as the musical guest.

And instead of a shoot interview poll, I have decided that I will review the brand new Teddy Long YouShoot this Thursday. The shoot will be released on Tuesday.

    No jobbing of secondary champions?

    ReplyDelete
  4. That finish, if WCW had done it, would be mocked on every talking head thing that the wwe would ever make about wcw. The context of how they did it is just so outraging, I don't even know what to say about the product anymore. I can't take it seriously at all. Current wwe is a complete joke to me. And honestly I don't care about Ambrose any more. I might get back in if he turns heel but until then, Dean the Menace just isn't a wrestler I want on tv.

    ReplyDelete
  5. No jobbing of secondary champions, but one wrestler did pull a knife on another one and the camera had to pan out and Tony said he was just trying to cut the guys beard of with scissors, but the guy had no beard.

So Steve Young had a great anecdote at the talk he gave at the Pac-12 studio, where he was talking about how he learned to gain accountability as a QB and adjusting to following up Joe Montana as Niners QB. He was talking about on an INT, the team mindset is to go to the QB and ask, "What happened?", like he did it on purpose because everyone ran their routes and blocked, so how did the other team wind up with it. He talked about how the first 50 or so INTs, he'd try to explain it ("You went that way instead of that way/The football is shaped weird/it's all muddy, YOU throw it"), and then the coaches would come up to the other players about what happened ("He said I ran the wrong way/The sun got in his eyes/Joe would never throw an INT").

Eventually, he took it all on himself and every time the offensive unit came up to him post-INT, he'd say it's all on him, he had a bad read, and that's the last one they're gonna get. He elaborated on things that he would tell them , and it was getting everyone in the room all psyched up, inspired...and then he followed it up with, "There were six times -- and I know this off the top of my head -- six times where I threw a pick, rallied the troops, told Coach Seifert or Coach Mariucci that I'd take care of the ball, go out for the first snap...and on my first throw, threw another INT. And when everyone asks 'What happened?'....then you just don't say anything."

It was a fun session, he was only there for an hour before his handlers told him he had to leave for Palo Alto to do NFL Live (VIA SATELLITE), but had some great stuff about Bill Walsh (who broke up cliques in the locker room and would make random seating arrangements in the lunch room or trips, so it wasn't just groups separated by position or school) and Reggie White (who would sack you and immediately help you to your feet asking how your family was, sincerely), it was cool. I have a neat job.

The same thing might happen to Shibata if he doesn't beat Nakamura. And they need to bring guys up from their dojo. the NOAH guys you mentioned would be good short term but they're all old. They need to build for the future.

  85. London really stood out and was far better here than in the WWE

AJ Styles, Samoa Joe and Danielson also stood out a lot too.

Punk was subpar in the ring but great on the stick.

Daniels was fine in the ring but the Prophecy stable was a flop and the Fallen Angel gimmick was probably the reason he spent so much time in the Independent scene. It was a rec center gimmick

No I'm saying that might be a reason why you can play with a cracked vertebrae in your back, but not on a sprained ankle.

Vick (or some other mobile QB) played in a flack jacket to protect his ribs. On an ankle, especially for a QB/WR/RB you're always pivoting or moving on it so a sprain would be bad -- and if you taped it up good to immobilize it you'd be making it harder to move around.

  162. If I was in Canadia and someone paid for my coffee order at tim hortons I'd be thoroughly confused but I'd just insist on paying for my own shit anyways, because I really don't need a stranger to buy me breakfast and I really don't want to buy another stranger breakfast unless its a girl I fucked the night before. That's probably the weirdest thing about Canada I've ever heard. Seems like a big circle jerk to me.

  164. I live in Toronto, games make good study breaks.

I wouldn't PAY for tv of a team that isn't going to win.

I was at the ACC for the Buffulo game though and that was fun

  167. It started from the ousting of Ralph Friedgen, which was supposed to trigger James Franklin become head coach. Not sure exactly what happened, but Franklin went to Vanderbilt instead. If anything, Franklin should have commanded his players not to shake with Edsell, who became the so-called big time coach that Maryland wanted by firing Friedgen (unjustly so BTW).

  171. Loved that run of 3 years where he was always Sole Survivor. Felt they could have made something bigger out of that than it was.

  172. Also, no offense to Canadians (and some Americans who sound like Fargo characters), but never come down here with those horrid accents of yours again unless you want your teeth kicked in.

  173. I just saw some thing on the news about huge lines at some coffee chain where every single person paid for the person behind thems order somehow. Apparently its not a one time thing but a tradition.

  174. That's like asking if someone did an Irish Whip. It's Lucha, OF COURSE someone did a hurricanrana.

  175. The biggest shock in Canada for me is the banks don't have the teller's area blocked off my steel bars and hard plastic screens. I suppose it's because of lack of guns, but it was a shocker that a bank ha no visible security.

He probably smokes so much pot to ease the pain on his body.

  177. ...where?

This is not a Canada thing. I'll be shocked if it isn't a middle of nowhere thing.

  178. Ugh god I hate that fucking accent so bad lol. Montreal is awesome, Vancouver was amazing when I visited but a lot of shit about that country really blows. So glad I lucked out and was born a few hundred miles south.

  179. We don't have that down here either.

  181. Uhh...Fuck you too?

Seriously why the sudden hate on for Canada.

The populated parts are really not very different then the northern blue states at all.

  182. I don't know where it was. The restaurant was called like Tom Horton or something like that, if that helps you narrow down a region.
The point of the news story was that some shitty greasy dinner in San Diego is now doing this same gimmick and it was based off this Canadian tradition. I apologize to you if the local news here butchered something about your country when reporting it. That wouldn't totally surprise me.

  183. WWE literally just gave everyone in US an entire month to watch their entire library of PPVs. I bet the casual fans feel like a kid in a candy store.
