    Evening!

  2. Can we get a moratorium on the saying "that's not who we are?"

If you try to blow off torture or other hideous acts by saying "that's not who we are", then you are a weasel-mouthed asshole, on top of "that being who you are".

Watching Armageddon 04. Jackie Gayda is quite underrated. Absolutely smoking body.

If Kane can repeatedly put the mask back on, anyone can.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Stranger in the AlpsDecember 9, 2014 at 5:26 PM

Holy fuckity fuck. These kids on Wheel of Fortune are super-dorky.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Devils vs. Blackhawks tonight in a backup vs. backup game. Love watching my team try even less than usual.

    ReplyDelete
  12. I'm looking for a ppv to watch on the network. I'm kind of on an 2010 kick, maybe i'll go HITC 2010, I don't think I've ever seen that. I can imagine the Kane stuff is awful but is there other good stuff on the show?

    ReplyDelete
  13. TLC 2010. Sheamus/Morrison is the shit!

    ReplyDelete
  14. Never seen that match or that show either. I haven't seen much of 2010 really other than the punk vs rey stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  15. And Rey vs kane. Pretty much the only stories I followed that year.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Oh man you gotta watch it. Ladder match. Easily my favorite singles ladder match since Benoit/Jericho.

    ReplyDelete
  17. MikeyMike, WitnessDecember 9, 2014 at 5:37 PM

I don't really like 2010. Might be my least favorite year since I started watching full time again in 07.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I'm intrigued. What's the main event?

    ReplyDelete
  19. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:38 PM

So Khal Drogo won superstar of the year.

    Bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I didn't have time to read the threads today but we're all in agreement that was obviously rigged and always has been too right?

    ReplyDelete
  21. So just as some background shit I've got NOC 2010 on right now and even though I'm barely watching it I can safely tell you Kane vs Undertaker is AWFUL.

    ReplyDelete
  22. It says something when a majority of the winners were not there to accept the award.

    ReplyDelete
  23. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:40 PM

I'm looking forward to see Reigns in the RR, the crowds needs to chant "Ambrose" right away.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I didn't watch, I was busy pulling for Rodgers to help us out in the division, but when I heard I laughed my ass off. They didn't learn jack from last year and they apparently have no idea the Rumble is taking place in Philadelphia.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Wow Taker does the clean job to Kane? I did not remember it that way at all

    ReplyDelete
  26. That show sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  27. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:42 PM

    Hey Mike.

    ReplyDelete
  28. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:43 PM

I remember seeing Taker/Kane, thought it was decent.

    ReplyDelete
  29. It was probably a different match, this one was weak.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:45 PM

The HITC sucked, so was the buried alive.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Damn Taker sells it big time for Kane. And he finally gets his standing O at the end of the ramp.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cena vs. Barrett in a chairs match.

    ReplyDelete
  33. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:47 PM

    Cena/Barrett, Cena finishes burying Wade.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I just I'm just gonna give 2010 a shot from here until the end of the year. See what I think. A little tag team turmoil to start off with!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Tuesday new day!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Who else will watch Main Event

    ReplyDelete
  37. WWE says it was "100% legitimate," and you're just a dumb smark if you don't think so!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Same. I quit watching in 2010 after Shawn retired. Him retiring was a blow and it took me a while to get back into it.

I was gone from WrestleMania 26 until WrestleMania 27.

    ReplyDelete
  39. usos vs kozlov and santino...man those guys have been around forever. I forgot the usos were throw away jobbers for years.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Cam Newton was in a car wreck. Is it wrong that I feel more bad for me than I do him?

    ReplyDelete
  41. I really hate college basketball referees.

    ReplyDelete
  42. He jobbed three straight PPV's to Kane. And that's how his run as a appearing at more than just WrestleMania ended. Jobbing to Kane.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Wow how bad was it?

    ReplyDelete
  44. He'll play Sunday.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Pretty nasty. Car flipped. I don't think his life is in danger but he injured his back. They said the same injury Romo had in his back.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I saw him all strapped down on the stretcher and feared the worst. looks like he is ok though.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The ESPN scroll said the injury was "similar to Tony Romo's" from earlier this year.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I don't understand why refs aren't full-time. This stuff is too serious to be employing math teachers and programmers.

    ReplyDelete
  49. I have this sinking feeling we're going to lose to the Lakers tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  50. 100% agree.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Is Reggie Theus still the coach?

    ReplyDelete
  52. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:53 PM

My name is Roman Reigns, and I'm the one choosen by The Machine, I'll headline every show and you'll liked it. Believe that.

That can actually be a nice heel promo for him.

    ReplyDelete
  53. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 5:53 PM

Well, it turned into a fatal 4 way TLC match.

    ReplyDelete
  54. No. You're Brazilliankid.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Oh god the buried alive. Nexus interferes for no fucking reason whatsoever.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Wow does anyone remember the tag team of Cody Rhodes and Drew Macintyre? I have watched Cody pretty regularly his whole career, and I do not remember this at all.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I usually watch it and will probably catch it tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  58. This is a true statement.

    ReplyDelete
  59. One of the stupid things from the Authority angle is that they never actually endorsed a champion. They never gave Orton the vote of approval and never treated Rollins as anything more than an afterthought.

    ReplyDelete
  60. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 5:55 PM

Supposedly it was going to lead to Wade vs Taker, but it didn't pan out that way.

    ReplyDelete
  61. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 5:56 PM

Fuck it, Bring Vince back and make him endorse Reigns as the corporate champ.

    ReplyDelete
  62. How long has he been gone?

    ReplyDelete
  63. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 5:56 PM

Yeah, they teamed for 2 months, and only when they were about to break up, they were dubbed "The Dashing Ones".

    ReplyDelete
  64. I say why not if that's really how he feels. They should have did the same thing with Cena, but I digress.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I think they won the tag straps once but other than that I got nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  66. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 5:57 PM

Yep, they held the titles for less than a month,

    ReplyDelete
  67. 6 years now.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Fucking hell, the SOA finale is 3 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  69. oh damn hahaha

    ReplyDelete
  70. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:00 PM

When did the tag titles become afterthoughts like that? I'd say it was from September 2010 to September 2011.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Stranger in the AlpsDecember 9, 2014 at 6:00 PM

I watch it every week. I also watch Superstars and Smackdown.

Just a fan who tries not to miss a show.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Stranger in the AlpsDecember 9, 2014 at 6:01 PM

    Same J-O-B, however.

    ReplyDelete
  73. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 6:01 PM

They're actually on a better state than 2010- mid 2012, it really picked after Hell no and The Shield.

    ReplyDelete
  74. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 6:02 PM

What about 2000, the smackdown six era?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Even the WWE PPV video package can't make this six pack title match build up look good.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Stranger in the AlpsDecember 9, 2014 at 6:02 PM

Did I miss something? Why is Main Event in a studio and not live? Where's the Smackdown taping this week?

    ReplyDelete
  77. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:02 PM

Yeah, only recently have I really cared about the tag titles, and it all started with Kane and Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  78. It was already too far gone.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Main Event is a stupid recap show this week?

    ReplyDelete
  80. what concerns me is the number of folks (particularly Fox News commentators) who say we don't need to know what the CIA does. Um??? What the fuck kind of fascist crap is that? Countries that don't "need to know" what there secret police are doing tend to be dictatorships and fascist regimes. Me personally? I would kinda like to know what kind of twisted shit our CIA is doing, both with the approval of the President and his cabinet and even mored scarily, without approval.

    ReplyDelete
  81. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 6:03 PM

At least we are seeing monthly title defenses.

    ReplyDelete
  82. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 6:04 PM

Who has the best attire in the WWE today?

    I'd say Ambrose.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Is Tribute to the Troops this week?

    ReplyDelete
  84. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:04 PM

Should have just been Orton vs Sheamus, but no, Cena can sell this.
The match I was most excited for, and the one I thought that was better executed story wise, was Miz vs Bryan.

    ReplyDelete
  85. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:05 PM

    Next week, during WWE Week!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Stranger in the AlpsDecember 9, 2014 at 6:05 PM

Just looked it up. They're taping Smackdown with Tribute to the Troops tonight,.

    ReplyDelete
  87. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:05 PM

Heck, they even had a decent tag division for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  88. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 6:06 PM

    And storylines.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Random (and almost remember this being mentioned before) but if the network ever stops bleeding money, they need a kayfabe "Sports Entertainment Science" show....why are samoan heads so hard? How hard did Jake torque the neck that his DDT was deadlier than all others? What combination of thin skin and hemophilia make Flair bleed sooooo often?

    ReplyDelete
  90. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:07 PM

The most recent storyline that was great had to be the Rhodes Bros fighting the Authority and Shield.

    ReplyDelete
  91. honestly, I feel better not knowing.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Stranger in the AlpsDecember 9, 2014 at 6:08 PM

  99. There should be WWE fantasy leagues.

    ReplyDelete
  100. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:15 PM

I'd actually watch that just to see what their answers would be.

    ReplyDelete
  101. So Netflix might start airing Impact episodes after they air.

    ReplyDelete
  102. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©December 9, 2014 at 6:17 PM

Everyone would just choose, Rollins, Reigns, Cena, Orton, Show, and whoever the flavor of the month is. Then go on undefeated the entire season.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Wrestlezone:" This week’s WWE Raw was down nearly 4.7% from last week, and has lost almost 14% of its viewership since the massively successful post-Survivor Series episode. It was the third lowest score of 2014. "

Perhaps this is the fans officially saying "F-U" for crappy storylines, Lesnar never defending the title and having Sting appear at Survivor Series then never on RAW.

    ReplyDelete
  104. It's gonna be near impossible to top the last 20 minutes of last week's episode, but God I hope they do. I took a rare night off for this. The last to show to get that honor was Sutter's last great show The Shield.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Nice, I might actually watch them sometimes

    ReplyDelete

That's good, since they sadly took episodes off of iTunes.

    ReplyDelete
  109. I wouldn't mind seeing some of their older dvd sets like the X division sets put on there. From what I've read though, it's Discover, the main company negotiating for alot of their content, not specifically TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  110. ThebrazilianpsychoDecember 9, 2014 at 6:20 PM

Vince thinks Cena is Hogan, he's already senile.

  111. Virgil's Gimmick TableDecember 9, 2014 at 6:20 PM

Excuse me. Do you have any Gray Poupon?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yeah but maybe you draft different levels like main eventers, tag teams, midcard era, jobbers. One of each. So if someone drafts Cena, usos, ryback and Justin Gabriel, a team of orton, stardust, Luke Harper and kofi might score more points overall.

It's not like you can pick every top QB and running back in a football league.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  121. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessDecember 9, 2014 at 6:23 PM

With some stuff, I watched my mother - mostly for Mexican and Italian foods, and did my own trial and error. For other stuff, I follow recipes and then switch things up to fit whatever taste I have at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Meltzer pointed out how the football game was a lot higher than usual and that probably played into the low rating.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I don't understand what this means.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Very interesting recipe. I made a great portobello and Bleu cheese risotto for a catering event recently to go with braised Mahi and Kobe beef and tropical fruit skewers. Love a good culinary discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  125. That's cool. I need to try stuff like that out first so I can learn from went wrong. My sister married a chef and he offered to teach me and my fiancé to cook some things.

As long as you have the patience to give whatever dish you're cooking the proper time to cook.

    ReplyDelete
  136. Yeesh, Shefter saying Clowney's out for 9 months for microfracture, so he'll miss all offseason stuff and (probably) start on PUP. A motivation-less Greg Oden?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  142. Show's SHOCKING heel turn punch on Cena was so weak. Why the heck is that his finisher.

    ReplyDelete
  143. I have some time off at the end of the week and want to go early to the market and get stuff to make for dinner. She has a gluten allergy which can complicate things a little but there are a lot of ways to go around that.

Ooof, gluten allergies are killer. Two of my aunts and my sister are all gluten sensitive, so I learned to make some stuff that doesn't involve any gluten at all. Not the easiest thing in the world, but definitely doable.

Corn or almond flours are good substitutes, rices, etc.

One year for Thanksgiving, instead of stuffing, I made a pilaf that knocked everyone's socks off. I have to find that recipe again...

    ReplyDelete
  153. The biggest trick is to avoid white foods. Alot of our customers have siliacs or gluten allergies and I know how bad the gluten-free food used to be. It's gotten better, and thankfully alot of restaurants are having their cooks learn to prepare it to taste pretty good.

    ReplyDelete
  154. His head is like a typewriter!!!

    ReplyDelete
  155. Seriously, the voting options for Bryan and Reigns, as well as Dean and Cena, were only two buttons, rather than four.

So only Reigns and either Cena or Ambrose, but probably Cena, were getting votes for those button clicks.

How do I email the filth sheets?

    ReplyDelete
  156. I hate that Baylor and TCU got jobbed over simply because they don't have a title game. It was actually great to see the Big 12 stay at 10 instead of adding two teams just cause. Now the message is clear, become bloated and have a title game instead of playing every team in the conference once and determining it that way

It's not bad. An appearance by this one guy, and then this other guy shows up.

    I hope I didn't spoil it.

Definitely check out some risotto recipes. I use a basic risotto recipe from Jamie Oliver as my base and then expand it from there.

OH MAN! THE OTHER GUY! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!

Reigns would be best served as the leader of a group, more than a standalone I think. When he has some people to play off of and do his stoic badass act, he looks cool. This John Cena lite business will kill him dead.

I was brainstorming an idea about a faction for him called the Legion ("We are Legion, and we are many"), which could work either as a heel or face stable, because the stables have been one of the few bright spots in the booking over the last few years.

Oh man, seriously. That happened to me, too, when I used gluten-free flour to make biscuits for my sister. So terrible. It's gotten so much better over the years.

  173. Thanks for the info. I am definitely going to look into this.

  174. except New Day.
I still haven't watched them yet but I don't need to

  175. That was multiple levels of fucked:

-Big 12 deciding to IGNORE ITS OWN FUCKING RULES ("co-champions" my ass. Baylor beat TCU, end of discussion.)
-"Tradition" and MONEY vs "new blood", the side with MONEY will always win

  177. Not bad so far, seems like it's trying to hard to build up to a cliffhanger though

  178. Just spammed the WWE Twitter feed with it.

  179. Redskins should trade RG3, get rid of Gruden and just start over

    ReplyDelete
  180. There are a lot of things I didn't like about this
-How can TCU be 3 then drop to 6 after winning by 50?
-Could they be any more blatant about making this a name brand playoff?
-Why are conf. championship games so important?
-Just wait for the last week before revealing this stuff so it won't look so rigged

  181. YOU MOTHER FUCKER!

  182. Also the name Redskins should go.

  183. Can they get rid of Snyder? They can't? Then don't even bother.

  184. They're a fun diversion in the NFC East as long as Snyder's around at least

  185. I always felt if the owner hurts the league in a very bad way that the league has every right to force them to sell like the Royals in the 90s/00s or the Clippers in 90s/00s

  186. It merely saves them the trouble of laying down for the champ.

Well... the Shield (Excellent), Wyatts (Very Good) and New Day (the Shits) makes a .666 average, which means Vince is the Antichrist and all.

  188. I have no problem with this, but Snyder hurts his team more than he hurts the league itself. The Redskin name really isn't that big of a deal to football fans but other than that he's harmless.
