BoD Daily Update

Brock Lesnar Update

Just prior to this past Monday's RAW, Lesnar and Vince McMahon got into a business disagreement about negotiations over a new contract. Although the exact matter has been kept quiet it is just business related and not about any creative differences.

WrestleMania Ticket Sales Update

At this moment there are between 11,000-12,000 tickets still left for the show. It has also been noted that those who have been unable to get their friends comped for the show in the past have been able to do so this year.

  1. Bayless getting this up early!

  2. Getting on Spike would be pretty huge for ROH. Hopefully it happens.

    ReplyDelete
  3. If the WWE are willing to pay my travel and comp me a ticket, I'll gladly fill one of those 12,000 seats and boo Romans Reigns

    ReplyDelete
  4. I'd bet money Brock was upset because they aren't willing to pay him as much as he is making now.

Also, when was the last time a WM was a legit sell out?

    ReplyDelete
  5. LOL at WM not selling out. But keep pushing Roman Reigns.

In that awesome Meltzer piece on Daniel Bryan, he said that no matter what excuses promoters make....empty seats are there because not enough people wanted to see the Main Event.

    ReplyDelete
  6. If it wasn't last year, it certainly was for Rock Cena 2

    ReplyDelete
  7. I'm talking legit without papering. Even WMs for the past couple of years have had to paper thousands.

  8. Clash of the Champions VI: Ragin' Cajun
Ricky Steamboat defeated Ric Flair in a 60-minute time limit two out of three falls match to retain the NWA World Heavyweight Championship

Attendance at the 75,000 seat capacity Louisiana Superdome - 5,300

Wonder what Dave thought at the time?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Flair/Steamboat was never promoted on that card.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well I heard that Brock wanted something put in his contract about not working with any drugged up long hairs at Wrestlemania. You heard it here first.

    ReplyDelete
  11. And aren't they going to the 100K stadium in Dallas next year?

    ReplyDelete
  12. It's interesting consider they're playing Jerryworld next year. That's 100,000 seats and they'll be nowhere close to selling that out unless they lure Austin back.

I seriously doubt the lack of attendance has to do with Bryan/Reigns, but it does have to do with a lack of star power and momentum in the company in general.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Was that one of those silly deals where they refused to promote the PPV because they thought it would affect house show attendance?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Didn't Spike use the excuse that they weren't running wrestling anymore as why they got rid of TNA? Must have really not wanted to deal with them anymore.

No issues with ROH going there I suppose, as long as they don't start forcing them to shoehorn MMA fighters into the show to promote the thing they actually give a shit about.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah even thought it wasn't a PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Your comparing the Clash from 26 years ago to WrestleMania today?

    ReplyDelete
  17. i think bellator would probably be a better fit with ROH. Less goofy shit and a more serious product. I'd presume they wouldn't have say, Tito and Rampage hitting people with hammers

    ReplyDelete
  18. Indeed, they've been slowly killing D-Bry's heat since he came back, I doubt it'd be any different if he was main eventing WrestleMania.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Yeah, at the doctors and had a 9am appt. Did it on my phone at the hospital cafe

    ReplyDelete
  20. That would be hilarious if RoH went to Spike.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Haha, probably not as goofy no, but I didn't really enjoy ROH when Cornette was in charge and having Dan Severn on the shows.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Rampage would be perfect for monster heel run, the guy oozes charisma and has Powebomb that KO'd a guy once.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Everything alright?

    ReplyDelete
  24. I remember, trying to shove Davey in everyone's throat.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Yeah, I think that was the thing. Well , that and dealing with Dixie and Russo.

The fact that they're pitching Spike and AXS tells me they're pitching more serious, straight athletic wrestling as a companion program to MMA.

That's kind of why AXS liked NJPW.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Also, since I know nothing of US channels really (I'm an Aussie), is AXS a large channel like Spike, or more of a Destination America type thing?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Who here is going to drop 45 bones on the RoH PPV this weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's $45. I'm not sure how that translates to pounds for you.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Indeed, I like the Wolves, but did not at all enjoy them when Cornette was in charge. The match they had at Final Battle I think it was bored me to tears (But I like Owens and Zayn, so Cornette probably thinks I'm a dumbshit)

    ReplyDelete
  30. To my knowledge AXS is like Destination America & El Rey.

They're all kind of in the abyss in terms of people knowing what they are.

But that's the type of channel that should be after wrestling, because if wrestling can eventually bring them a couple hundred thousand viewers reliably, that's a win for them.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Nah, just highlighting more Meltzer propaganda. Spotlight it when it fits ignore it when it doesn't.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I just remembered Rampage actually went back to UFC :/

    ReplyDelete
  33. 11k unsold seats for WrestleMania?

And WWE thinks it can fill 100k seats for Mania 32 next year?

    ReplyDelete
  34. I didn't know they made wrestling PPVs like that anymore

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's really terrible. I'd be okay with $30 even. That's what NJPW charged.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Cool, thanks for the reply.

Makes sense I guess, DA seem happy to be getting 500K eyeballs to their channel on a consistent basis. I guess everyone has to start somewhere!

    ReplyDelete
  37. It's either that or he's gotten his Night of Champions PPV bonus check and he's pissed.

    ReplyDelete
  38. The Roman Empire will be expanding!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I wonder if this is the first blowback of the non PPV, network revenue era.

    ReplyDelete
  40. It's the same with El Rey and Lucha Underground. Literally no one knew what the fuck El Rey was and no one watched. Lucha's grown their presence. Last check they were up to 50k-70k viewers after 13-14 episodes. That's a pretty good launching point for them.

The networks just need to get people to the channel.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Actually you're not but feel free to try again.

    ReplyDelete
  42. One the most troubling things about this Roman Reigns situation is when it inevitably fails, WWE is the type of company that will undoubtedly blame Reigns for the entire situation. I can see a WWE DVD in 10 years talking matter-of-factly about the crowd hating Reigns without taking any responsibility for the terrible booking.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Look at you fancy pants.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:08 AM

So, let me get this straight....

TNA can't re-negotiate with Spike, ends up going to Destination America with nearly half the TV audience of Spike.

ROH may come to Spike, and have a chance to get a million people looking at their product every week.

So....if this happens, ROH is #2 in the US, right? Wow.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That can't be the real price. On what fucking planet is a ROH show worth 45 bucks? And I don't even dislike ROH.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Better TV and still in the PPV business? I'd say so.

    ReplyDelete
  47. *grabs popcorn* *waits for WWF1987 to show up*

    ReplyDelete
  48. I never really thought that Brock would get bent out of shape over creative. He's there for the dollars.
I'm pretty sure that he'd go and put Sin Cara over clean as a whistle if he was on his way out and the cheques were clearing.

    ReplyDelete
  49. TJ: I have a series on my blog called The Joys of Writing. It's just me talking about being a writer and whatever comes to mind regarding it.

I just posted the latest entry to the series. I was inspired by how a game developer has responded so harshly to criticisms against their game that they'll delete any criticism and ban anyone on their Steam forum.

    https://nickpiers.wordpress.com/2015/02/26/the-joys-of-writing-on-responding-to-criticism/

    ReplyDelete
  51. If it is good enough for Russia, it's good enough for a game developer.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:12 AM

If the Spike deal happens, Samoa Joe came out of that TNA negotiation with the better deal.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Right now, TNA is #2 by default, and ROH and Lucha seem on similar footing (which is why they're pretty much competing, and in some cases like El Patron, sharing the same talent), although Lucha's hard to figure, because there's not a lot of information about it, and it's hard to gauge their total audience because they run El Rey where they do kind of poorly, but then they run in Spanish on Unimas where it kind of sounds like they're doing very well.

If ROH gets Spike, it easily becomes #2. At that point, there's absolutely no reason to believe TNA is a more viable destination at that point.

In fact, if ROH gets Spike and uses that at a launching point, I could see TNA dying fairly quickly.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Well, there's also WWE's manner of handling criticism: bury their head in the sand, ostrich style!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Elsewhere in the net-o-verse, people are talking about how Stephanie's and Vince's responses to AJ Lee were made through gritted teeth because they were goddamn furious at what she said about pay.

I'm just curious what people here think:

    1) What should the pay for the female wrestlers be with regards to the male wrestlers? Should they be paid the same as male midcarders, male low carders, or male upper carders when at the top?
    2) How much of the discrepancy is the fault of Stephanie, how much is Vince, and how much is exaggeration being used to set up a future storyline?

    I'll withhold my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  56. He sure did. God, TNA would look so bad if Spike got a new wrestling promotion.

    ReplyDelete
  57. I dare someone to find me a worse undercard in a national promotion than 1993 WCW.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Well. Notwithstanding that, I suppose.

    ReplyDelete
  59. All that said about the current situation, if you just read the tea leaves, no one wants to work for TNA. In order, it sounds like people want to work for:

    WWE
    NJPW
    ROH/Lucha (even footing)
    TNA

    ReplyDelete
  60. "I'll withhold my opinion."

    I'm sure it's terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:15 AM

I don't know. AWA 1990 was pretty damn bad.

    ReplyDelete
  62. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:16 AM

I disagree. You had Regal, Benoit, Scorpio, Austin, Pillman.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Top 5 Playa-hatin, here.

    ReplyDelete
  64. True. TNA may have more viewers (and their viewership means nothing really given how few of those big fans ever bothered going to shows or buying PPVs) than the others but it's not like any big name leaving WWE like Punk or Del Rio would ever consider going there, which doesn't make them all that much of a #2 promotion.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm confused by the ROH news. Sinclair broadcasting, which owns a patchwork of stations across the country owns a majority interest in ROH. That is why they run their show on Sinclair stations. So is this an ECW situation where you still have the hour ROH show on Sinclair stations and now an additional show on Spike or AXS? Or is Sinclair really thinking they can somehow make more revenue showing ROH on another network than their stations all across America where they get to keep all the ad revenue?

    Odd.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The same as the guys - whatever you can negotiate.

    ReplyDelete
  67. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:17 AM

I wouldnt go to Wrestlemania, just because they charge way too much money, even for their house shows. Much like Disney World, they need to lower the prices.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I've heard rumors that the disagreement with Brock had to do with either merchandise, payout for Mania or the picture of Mohammad Reigns drew and deficated on.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I would say roh is already#2. Their syndication deal gets more weekly clearance and viewership than destination America, plus they actually run paid live events and occasional live PPVs unlike TNA. What advantage does TNA have?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Top 5 cop out, here.

    ReplyDelete
  71. It would almost be the death knell.

I don't mean to hate on TNA, but they've had 13 years by this point? And they squandered most of what they built and most of the interest people had in them almost a decade ago.

They still have an audience, but I don't really see TNA as something capable of growing at this point. They're just clinging to what they have.

    ReplyDelete
  72. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:18 AM

I'm sure Sinclair would love the extra advertising revenue, plus promotion of their brand on another network.

    ReplyDelete
  73. 1. In the wwe it should be even less then what they get now. They are an anti draw. The only reason the wwe has divas is for piss breaks. They can't even afford to make good on a payout to Brock lesnar. So if they started paying divas more to work a two minute piss break match that everyone hates, that's less cash for ziggler, Bryan Cesaro, and all the other guys you paid to see. If the nxt divas are too good to work wwe style go to Japan.
    2.100% work.
    .

  74. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:18 AM

I don't understand how Lucha is on even footing with ROH?

    ReplyDelete
  75. Austin and Pillman were more towards the top of the card, Benoit disappeared early in the year. The majority of the undercard was stiffs like Charlie Norris, Ice Train, EVAD, Big Sky, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:19 AM

You mean jizzed on by Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Good, reigns sucks. Hope he's a scapegoat.

    ReplyDelete
  78. again that is assuming they are keeping the current hour long show as well. Do they have the talent roster and production skills to do both? ECW kept the weekly syndicated hardcore TV show when they also joined with TNN. But Hardcore TV became an afterthought. I just think this might stretch the ROH production budget a bit thin (and it is pretty tiny to begin with)

    ReplyDelete

  80. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:19 AM

I was looking at the PPV results. I guess you mean on a regular basis?

    ReplyDelete
  81. Their pay should be what it is.

Don't like it? Don't sign the contract.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Exactly. No way they can even sniff 90k with this roster.

    ReplyDelete
  83. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:20 AM

Well if its like a clip show, im sure this isnt that much of an issue.

    ReplyDelete
  84. How much does the guy who rings the bell get paid? That much.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:20 AM

I don't know. I guess the bigger names maybe? That's about it. I guess that will change if ROH gets Spike money.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I've been to three (X8, XX, 23) and have wanted to go back but the ballooning prices and travel costs have kept me away.

Also, as cool as the stadiums look on TV, they aren't very good for actually watching matches.

    ReplyDelete
  87. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:20 AM

Think I commented on the wrong post.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Destination America sized

    ReplyDelete
  89. It might be a deal where Spike shoulders a lot of the cost like they did with TNA.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Okay, I'll answer my own question:

    1) The WWE's women's division is, and always has been, a part of their midcard. Even the Women's or Divas' Champion is never expected to be in anything more meaningful than the IC or US champ, sometimes less. So a base salary equivalent to the midcard is fair. They should get a cut of merch, though; female merchandise sells really well.
    2) I'm pretty sure this is an attempt to piggyback on the Oscars, as AJ Lee and Stephanie have been about to feud for some time. That said, if the pay discrepancy is real, that's on Vince, 100%.

    ReplyDelete
  91. This take is too hot.

  93. The Amazing GamecockFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:21 AM

When is Adult Swim signing Chikara???

    ReplyDelete
  94. It's actually pretty much impossible to tell.

But if you read the tea leaves, they might be doing about the same viewership. ROH estimates like 300k per week, Lucha between El Rey & Unimas might be 250k (but again that's unclear).

They also seem to be competing for the same talent

    ReplyDelete
  95. The views do seem to look terrible from probably 80% of the arena

    ReplyDelete
  96. Actually, now that I think of it. The ring bell guy is actually integral to the show. They should be paid less. They should be paid less and then use the money from Total Divas to offset it. Like waiters/waitresses in regards to low salary offset by tips.

    ReplyDelete
  97. I think on a recent update there was talk of ROH doing monthly specials on Spike

    ReplyDelete
  98. Scorching, if you will.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Three rules for video games

    1: NEVER PRE-ORDER.
2: If a developer is so sensitive to "legitimate" criticism that they delete any such posts, and not just the obvious trolls, don't touch the game. What might look good is likely hiding so many flaws, it'll not only break itself, but also the system it's playing on.
3: NEVER PRE-ORDER. Also, there's a good way and a bad way to do micro-transactions.

    ReplyDelete
  100. I just watch the PPVs. They are filled with dog shit until you get to the top of the card.

    ReplyDelete
  101. You want someone who works 2 minutes a show that no one watches to get paid the same as ziggler and Cesaro? They aren't part of the mid card, they are a break in the show.

    ReplyDelete
  102. The Giants stadium one, 29, pretty much sold out before Christmas. There legit weren't any seats up for sale on ticketmaster.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I'd rather see WWE realize the mistakes they've made. In ten years, there will be another guy like Reigns getting the rocket push and we'll have to go over this again.

    ReplyDelete
  104. 90k is generous. Levi Stadium is supposed to hold something like 80k for Mania and it's at least 11k under that at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  105. What did the jobbers in the 80's get? That seems fair.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:24 AM

100% agree. Now if they started letting them improve and give more time to them, and let them wrestle, sure...pay 'em a little more. But for what they are now? Fuck that.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  110. 1996-7 wwe. Look at some of those rumbles to see how thin it was

    ReplyDelete
  111. I have a general policy about buying games, especially AAA games: don't spend any more than about $20. I've only broken this rule three times in recent years: GTA V, Bioshock Infinite, and Amazing Spider-Man. The latter I regret because I returned it only a week later.

You should watch Jim Sterling video I link to in the article. The developer's meltdown is glorious!

    ReplyDelete
  112. Main roster divas, minimal. NXT women, double that. Boom.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:26 AM

As we've seen, NXT is not considered RAW light. It's considered a seperate entity. Doesn't count. The moment Vince called up Charlotte for a match, he had her "woooooing" and doing chops like a goof.

    ReplyDelete
  114. Just like anyone else, pay them based on how well they draw.

I vaguely remember Trish and Lita getting fairly well compensated on their second / third deals since they actually were the equivalent of male midcard acts and did pull in decent ratings and merch sales.

AJ's been the only diva close to them of late, but when she got too hot in 2012 they stuck her with Big E and Dolph and shunted her down the card.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I'd say Alberto del rio in 2015 is a bigger name than either broken down angle or devalued jeff hardy. And yeah Samoa joe is a nobody, but it shows that the flow of stars is out of TNA, not towards it.

  117. They should play Chikara and MXC right after another. Man I miss that show.

    ReplyDelete
  118. How do you determine how well anyone draws anymore? It's just not that kind of system now.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Very correct, I knew I was forgetting something... now to get ready for EU4's El Dorado expansion coming out today.

    ReplyDelete
  120. AJ/Big E/Dolph had so much potential as a group.

    ReplyDelete
  121. I understand the line of thinking, but my problem with it is that it sounds like:

    1) Vince doesn't want to pay the women.
    2) Vince therefore uses the women sparingly or not at all.
    3) Vince then justifies his lack of pay on the women not being used...
    4) ...before justifying their lack of use on being lower-salaried.

    ReplyDelete
  122. On the NJPW side, holy shit does AXS love that program. They're always running promos and the ones they run during the show are about how awesome the next week is going to be as well.

LU gets similar love from El Rey, which is a fun channel in general.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'm pissed about MK X, Goro is a DLC and I hate DLC.

    ReplyDelete
  124. That group could've gotten everyone over. Big E as the sidekick who cares about the girl and Dolph as the jealous asshole champion could've carried Smackdown for months. Instead, Ziggler got saddled with that concussion angle and Del Rio was put over. Look how that turned out.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I would like to see PWG get a TV deal somewhere. I want to see what all the fuss is about.

    ReplyDelete
  126. I really want this to happen now.

    ReplyDelete
  127. Wouldn't the head of talent relations be the main person behind the pay? Probably Big Johnny deserves some blame, although I'm sure he's enacting policies designed by Vince.
And the top Divas should make at least as much as a strong male midcarder. Even Kofi makes 250k, and the main Divas are making around 100k. The Bellas, AJ, and Paige should be making as much as an IC-level guy based on the amount and length of their TV segments.

    ReplyDelete
  128. That double turn was fucking awesome. It was the follow up that sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  129. PWG's style does not work in weekly tv, too wacky but not in chikara's level.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Regarding wrestlemania not selling out, I compare it to the super bowl in a way. I would like to go once because it is on my bucket list, but I would prefer to go to the event if my team was in it. If I sort of knew that the WM matches would be awesome, absolutely I would go; but if it's guys I don't care about very much in 2015 (sting, HHH, taker), then it's like the bills v cowboys in the super bowl (90s teams I don't care about).

  133. Rock/Bryan for WM32 please!

    ReplyDelete
  134. "Mean" Dean AndrewsFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:31 AM

Reigns is way more interesting than Bryan right now.

Bryan is like Hacksaw Jim Duggan (HO! YES!) in his charisma, not as interesting to watch wrestle as most of the NXT roster (e.g. Hideo Itami or Finn Balor), and due to all his injuries, can't take an exciting bump any more. He's tapped out. Good in the past.

Reigns isn't as good a worker, but then he's been in the business for way less time, has the widely acknowledged disadvantage of having to try and cut career-making promos in an era where *NOBODY* is able to do this without the heavy hand of Creative choking them out, and has way more potential I think in terms of character development.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  138. It was well-executed, for sure. I still think the money was in playing Ziggler up as the insecure champ who is over-reliant on Big E and treats AJ like crap.

Fuck no,I'm absolutely sick of the rock now.

    ReplyDelete
  141. They can't afford to pay Brock what they promised. Where do you think the money will come from? Do you think the divas are drawing any revenue?

    ReplyDelete
  142. I know we did the big Everybody Paste From The Observer thing last night, but I'm just reading it now and Dave says this about TNA backstage right now:

"One of the reasons the frustration level is even above usual levels here is that the talent was together for the U.K. tour a few weeks ago and were talking to each other and realized that there are no house shows planned, and no PPV shows planned (past the taped ones that just took place that nobody actually buys and are only done to fulfill existing international television contracts) and since almost everyone except the few top guys are paid by appearance, there was a realization that almost everyone was going to earn substantially less in 2015. There’s also the recognition that all TNA is doing at this point is staving off dying as opposed to before, when, whether true or not, the idea was that they were at least trying to grow."

Briscoe might be more infamous than Bobby Roode, but not in a way that translates into viewers.

  144. 1993 ECW has been shockingly entertaining so far. I'm only three episodes in but still.

  145. WWE really needs to not run Manias in the west. The hardcore fanbase is in the northeast and traveling to San Fran or Phoenix is prohibitively expensive and time consuming for lots of people.

    ReplyDelete
  146. And what's your point? That ziggler should get less so the funkadactyls can get more?

    ReplyDelete
  147. In the Observer today, it says the median age for TNA viewership now is 52 years old. FIFTY TWO. I can't imagine they're going to translate this audience into much show attendance or merchandise sales.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Isn't it like 49 or something for the WWE?

  156. I know money talks, but only if Austin wants to (and he doesn't seem to), and only if Rock's schedule allows.

WWE can't count on Austin, Rock, Michaels, Goldberg, or whoever else to "save" next year's Mania 32.

  157. I was disappointed when I went to WrestleMania XIX. It was a fun show, but it really didn't feel any different than being at the 2001 King of the Ring.

  158. The Jericho article on "Cotton Eye Joe" is fucking hilarious. Tractor beams of shit? Dislike of the misuse of X ("ecks") and Z (in place of S)? Jericho hates Mambo #5? (Seriously, those assholes deserve a meeting with the HPUTA system.) Comparing the singer of CEJ to Goebbels?

There's a reason it's easy to forgive Jericho when he does screw up...

  159. Do they even run shows anymore?

  160. "Mean" Dean AndrewsFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:39 AM

I'm trying to think of any reason to even buy a game in the first week that it comes out, and unless it's gonna be PACKED with spoilers, then there's no reason.

If it sucks, it will now be cheaper than before. If it was good, then there's no difference.

But pre-orders specially are far people with more money than sense.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Fuck DLC, everything you made should be put in the game.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Let's start with Kane and Big Show instead. Maybe move on to Axel and Titus after that. There's more than enough male filler that we don't have to strawman up an argument that I'm somehow anti-smark darling.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Really needed a Undertaker vs Eddie or Stevie Richards match to seal the deal.

    ReplyDelete
  164. For the people that want to see divas paid as much as men: If they paid the janitors at the hospitals the same as the doctors you would get some really shitty doctors. If you slash the mid card wwes pay to give more money to the Bella's and Alicia fox (which is apparently what you are clamoring for) most of those guys will just leave. How, as a fan, will raw improve if ziggler, Cesaro, and ambrose quit and go back to the indies? (Okay maybe ambrose isn't the best example)

    ReplyDelete
  165. Belee_Matt!_INDEED!!!February 26, 2015 at 7:40 AM

At this rate, you would think WWE viewership will REALLY drop off in the next 20 years when their audience dies.

I'm an adherent to the George Will philosophy: pay talent individually according to their worth. If you have a Diva that gets over, moves merchandise and moves the ratings needle, then pay her like you would a man. Otherwise, pay her commiserate with her efforts.

  173. Paul Diamond?

  174. Do you understand that the divas aren't doing the same job as the male wrestlers? So you want those four guys fired and divas given a raise? What about all the actual wrestlers doing the work? They get what? The same as the piss break? This is such a stupid and I'll thought out idea I can't even keep arguing with you.

    ReplyDelete
  175. ... DLC, to me, should be the old "expansion packs" equivalent. Add at least 10% (preferably 20-25% for smaller games) new content (NOT just costumes, or pay to win powerups), and I can usually accept it.

As an example, Borderlands 1 got it mostly right, while Borderlands 2 was nowhere near as good with WAY too much DLC.

    ReplyDelete
  176. "Mean" Dean AndrewsFebruary 26, 2015 at 7:43 AM

The worst for this is I think Namco. Beautiful Katamari, all the DLC is ALREADY ON THE DISC YOU ALREADY OWN. Just blatant greed.

They should be paid like the men if they can perform like the men.

Yes I know that means there will be wrestlers that get paid next to nothing. Step your game up like everyone else and you get paid more.

The problem is when you get a talent like AJ getting matched up with a Bella. I don't care what people say the Bellas are garbage and pull match quality down. Someone who pulls a great match out of a Bella SHOULD get paid more.
