Face Sid interacting with fans is weird.

  4. Bulldog done with Main events for a while is fantastic.

    His last one was amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Warriors and Hawks is a dandy NBA matchup. I'm sure the League doesn't like them being the two best teams but whatevs.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I thought SurSer 96 was a cool moment. The fans seemed genuinely happy for him

Bulldog all-white with clack tassels is a good look.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Jupiter Ascending...oh my God. Somebody take the Wachowskis' car keys away.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Tassels is a look I wouldn't mind coming back.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Sounds like a lot of cage matches.

I've gotta wonder if it was only a temporary ban because I passed a post threshold or something. Hard to believe, but it could be possible. Or maybe Scott and Parallax were in cahoots and he got me banned. Who knows. The politics around here can be crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Not only that, but he seemed genuinely thrilled that the fans were going crazy for him. He took a lot of delight in Vladimir's antics.

    ReplyDelete
  13. I think the Silver regime is going to be a lot different than the Stern regime. I can't see him getting fixated on that kind of stuff. Now the tv networks.....that's another story.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sick Powerbomb from ol' Sid.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Puppy cleaned up, I ran her under the faucet until most of the shit was off then threw her back in the kennel, whatevs

  16. You're getting boring with all this me-me-me stuff. There's no "i" in BLOG OF DOOM.

    ReplyDelete
  17. From the match, to the commentary, to the post-match stuff, it felt like a real fight. And it happened to be in the best venue for it.

    ReplyDelete
  18. The aliens are just there for the strippers.

    ReplyDelete
  19. You talking about Marlena's cans right?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Imagine if they end up against each other in the Finals...

    ReplyDelete
  21. I'm for more variety in wrestlers' outfits. Hate the black tights/black trunk look. Why the fuck did Dolph stop wearing white boots?!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Mero's robe is SWANK!

    ReplyDelete
  23. I was just saying this in the other thread, but the NBAPA showing some serious balls and backing Paul hardcore tells me that the 2017 NBA lockout is going to be a real fight and not just the players getting squashed like the Mulkeys.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I miss that old Garden set-up so much.

  25. HHH and HBK took a big ol' steaming dump on CM Punk after his tryout to Vince and Johnny Ace, according to Court Bauer. I guess HBK came around on him later, according to Lagana's "Shawn saved Punk's job once" story (also discussed on Punk's DVD).

    Good evening to everyone.

    ReplyDelete
  29. You will comply. You will obey. You will love Roman Reigns.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Goldust and Marlena's colors feel off. Too dull, need to be brighter.

    ReplyDelete
  31. What's the story of Shawn saving Punk's job? Saw Punk's DVD but don't remember that.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'll take Marlena over Sable here.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Not surprised at all. That's why I still have little faith in HHH when he fully takes over because he's still going to be on the show, leeching top wrestler's heat for his own stupid reasons.

    ReplyDelete
  34. On the opposite side of the tassel argument, here's Mero with some stupid looking only-knee tassels.

    I'm watching Jeopardy, you lowlifes!

    ReplyDelete
  36. This dude was brought up in a podcast I was checking out today, and now I'm watching Hoodwinked with my daughter and he's in the movie so in thinking about him...

... Andy Dick: dies at an early age or is one of those guys who lives way past everyone's expectations?

    ReplyDelete
  37. He's already lived past everyone's expectations I think.

    ReplyDelete
  38. ThebrazilianpsychoFebruary 6, 2015 at 5:33 PM

This promo gets better and better after the constant trolling of Vince.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Those guys are both douchebags, but the difference is HBK was amazing so we can all give me him a pass.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Hasn't he already made it to the living past expectations stage?

    ReplyDelete
  41. When Punk was at OVW, all the brass was constantly criticizing him in terms of look and style and whatever. They were looking to let him go (allegedly) and then Shawn spoke up and said that instead of dumping on the guy, why not try to help him get better?

    ReplyDelete
  42. Apparently, Vince was mocking Punk's wrist rolling gesture he used to do as femme and other people at the table were joining in saying he was an overhyped indie darling, and Shawn (who was helping with ECW at the time) said "if you want the guy to succeed, actually book him that way, give him a chance."

Is your wife still in the hospital?

    ReplyDelete
  44. Hmm...I think your story is better than the one I posted. Makes more sense.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Heh. The timing of you and Art was hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Stranger in the AlpsFebruary 6, 2015 at 5:34 PM

She's home now. Not in the clear, but feeling better.

    ReplyDelete
  47. It's basically the same story, no worries, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I believe the Born Again Shawn but there is absolutely a little 90's Shawn lurking under the surface still alive in there.

    ReplyDelete
  49. ThebrazilianpsychoFebruary 6, 2015 at 5:35 PM

Got it, good luck for you both.

    ReplyDelete
  50. We aren't the laziest BOD tag team in history for nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I'm assuming that Rufus R. Jones didn't always look like a washed up blues singer.

    ReplyDelete
  52. The HBK/Jordan comparisons which get made a lot (because they are both GOATs and both made unbelievable comebacks where they changed their style) is really true. They are both pretty much absolute cocksuckers (psychotically competitive for MJ, pill head Diva to Mega church born again jesus weirdo for HBK) but we rightfully give them a pass because they got the fucking job done big time.
The moral of the story for me is, if you can do something better than everyone else act however you want.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Is Triple H Pippen? Sidekick that was nowhere as well regarded as Guy one when he's on his own?

    ReplyDelete
  54. If there is anything more annoying than a born again Christian I hope I never find it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. Konnan once told a story about how Shawn still got upset about doing jobs and asked Rey if he did. Rey said no and Shawn got all grumpy and said he should be upset about them. Then Konnan told Rey not to listen to Shawn because it's okay to do the honours, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  56. You're right. But, I bet they were both super brutal to be around. And I'm a huge Bulls fan.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Born again atheists are pretty bad.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Most fucked up MJ story's definitely the one about the fight with Steve Kerr, at least to me. Second place is making Kwame Brown cry every day.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Rock, what's your timestamp on SS96?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Macho Man is another guy who seems to get a pass. Most stories come out about him being pretty much a controlling asshole to Elizabeth.

I really try not to care what people are like outside of the ring. If only others did the same we wouldn't be exposed to the "hilarious" Orton gym bag jokes and Savage plowing Stephanie jokes.

    ReplyDelete
  66. What is titmouse?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Extremely good hands that should not have been the main star.

    Tee hee

    ReplyDelete
  69. ...holy shit. I have seriously thought you and nebb were the same person until right now.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I feel like Hoodwinked should have been a bigger success. Too bad the animation is kinda horrible. It's really funny, and pays off on multiple viewings.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I always laugh when I say it too :(

    ReplyDelete
  72. Why would you get banned?

    ReplyDelete
  73. It's okay. Jobber thought I was Vince's second account for a while.

    ReplyDelete
  74. True, a very very close second.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Well I mean you started as "Nebb's Pet Rock" right? Does this also mean Rockstar Gary and Rock Star Gary's #1 Fan aren't the same guy?

    ReplyDelete
  76. Cornette has a pretty apt quote about Born Again Christians. He said they usually become Born Again because everybody hates them. I can't do him justice.

    Here it is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kUZizMxgSlY

    ReplyDelete
  77. Well, Dying Light almost made me have a heart attack.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  79. This PPV is off to a horrid start.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Boooooo Job #2, I want to stay and rate wrestling trunks on aesthetics. See you guys in like 5 hours.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Vay Con Dios Cresto.

    ReplyDelete
  82. was this the start of Mero's character changing to jealous boyfriend/boxer?

    ReplyDelete
  83. It's a hard job. Have fun.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Nooo I don't think that comes for another year or so.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  88. "Lockdown? Awesome! I'm totally gonna watch that!"--is something I might have said if I got Destination America, which I don't, so...

    ReplyDelete
  89. First of many Ahmed injuries.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Was it ever explained exactly what the deal was with the helmet? Like, he was just supposed to be a time displaced gladiator?

    ReplyDelete
  91. I believe that was it.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Hunter was good enough to be a main star for a short stint but WWE has always been a face dominated company so having a heel on top for 2-3 years didn't work.

The problem is they took 3 years to find their next guy and Hunter was mostly all they had in that time.

    ReplyDelete
  93. Yes. He was hunting Mantaur.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Ahmed Johnson promo is just what this show needed to turn around....

    ReplyDelete
  95. After it happened did he need to take... AH Med?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  96. That's... Weird. Chikara did a similar gimmick years later, weirdly enough.

    ReplyDelete
  97. oh god I forgot just how bad Gladiator Faarooq's theme music and helmet were.

    ReplyDelete
  98. I kind of wonder who got that title shot...

    ReplyDelete
  99. Holy shit I wish I could show you guys a picture of this weed my GF just scored. Its fucking incredible. Looks like it that shit you would see in high times, and I am used to smoking top shelf weed from the dispensary. It pays to know real hippies.

    ReplyDelete
  100. If that was the deal, I'd actually be more OK with it.

    ReplyDelete
  101. I don't know much in this life but I do know that Sunny is wearing the HELL out of that dress.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Farooooooq's music sounds like a forties Disney movie.

    ReplyDelete
  104. "Song of the South"?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Lots of competition for "Worst Look."

    ReplyDelete
  106. I'm glad Jeopardy is back to being hard again.

For a few years, the questions all got stupidly easy (I'm guessing thanks to "who wants to be a millionaire?") When I can answer 1/2 the questions without trying, that's NOT Jeopardy.

I watched it recently, and am back to knowing damn near nothing.

    ReplyDelete
  107. it's still not as bad as Jake in that smock from KOTR.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Sunny wrapping up #1 and #2 best look.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Jesus we haven't even seen Jake yet.

    ReplyDelete
  110. "Mr. McMahon's Utopia" uses what would become the Brawl for All theme. For that piece of music, "Mr. McMahon's Utopia" is its The Matrix and the Brawl for All its Jupiter Ascending.

    ReplyDelete
  111. yes, but has Jake seen Jesus yet?

    ReplyDelete
  112. Has there ever been anything as tragic as her descent?

    ReplyDelete
  113. Farooq using "Sunny Days" Shawn Michaels stealing his barbs from Farooq!

    ReplyDelete
  114. Never has and never will.

    ReplyDelete
  115. HHH is more a Toni Kukoc -fine as a third option.

    ReplyDelete
  116. I can think of one worse descent in wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Heeeeeeeere's Jake!

    ReplyDelete
  118. I really used to feel a bit bad because I know from just saying that I won't watch wrestling in front of her and because I let her move in I know I really sounded like this little lover boy who might even be a little whipped and that's not quite the deal.Trust me my friend I know to play this game! When they talk about the asshole boyfriend, (to paraphrase Wallace from the Wire) that's me right there yo!

    ReplyDelete
  121. It's not wig splitting time, and I feel deprived.

    ReplyDelete
  122. WHAT IS THAT PERSON'S NAME?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  123. Where the fuck is Wallace? Huh? Where the fuck is Wallace?

    ReplyDelete
  124. I go to a blind item sight. A couple days ago the subject was a chick who was the highest fame in a weird corner of entertainment that didn't really exist before her and because of drugs fell to naked pictures, naked cam shows, than outright hooking.

It was pretty easy to guess.

    ReplyDelete
  125. cause no Stern this time. That black lady gettin' all uppity now. I wonder how those old white men feel about that.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Mark Henry in a polar bear costume....

    ReplyDelete
  127. Chyna of course*. At least Sunny made the HOF.

    *Real Answer not Chyna.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Ok I'm home from the butcher and now for a late dinner. We're having cold cuts instead of tacos. I got some good cheeses and pickles and olives and stuff too.

    Yum.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I am honestly surprised Chyna is still alive.

    ReplyDelete
  130. she and Scott Hall had been on my wrestling dead pool for some time now.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Mark Henry missed the Olympics due to injury!? I say I say that's just damn preposterous.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Started watching GAB '89 yesterday. How is Sting/Muta rated so highly? Lots of energy, but messy and half of it was rest holds.

    ReplyDelete
  141. If you eat enough of something, it's dinner.

    ReplyDelete
  142. King's Cheap Heat not really landing here.

    ReplyDelete
  143. KotR was a work of art.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Maybe it was a product of the times since no one had ever seen anything like muta before.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Jake doing his part in "parade of bad looks."

    ReplyDelete
  146. Very interesting. I have often eaten like that for dinner... but my ex would never have gone for that.

Anyone here reading Scott Snyder's Batman? Not really a fan of what he's doing with Joker

    ReplyDelete
  156. Definitely Wendy's. Unless shitty Wendy's fries are a no-no...then go with BK.

    ReplyDelete
  157. I seem to be in the minority but I dig it.

    ReplyDelete
  158. based on my gimmick I must answer Papa John's Better Ingredients ...Better Pizza....Papa John's

    ReplyDelete
  159. Mental Health. A co-worker threw out his back so I stayed late. Its been a blast I tell ya.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Mark Henry is the worst color guy I've heard in ages.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Sounds racist

    ReplyDelete
  162. But Lawler was just on Smackdown last night...

    ReplyDelete
  163. We don't say color anymore nebb.

    ReplyDelete
  164. No toweling off? Bastard.

(And I don't even like most dogs... mainly the bigger breeds though.)

    ReplyDelete
  165. "Mark, that post is very unforgiving."
    "Yeah. I know."

    ReplyDelete
  166. I haven't been to a Wendy's in ages.

    ReplyDelete
  167. And in today's lesson from Black History Month...

    ReplyDelete
  168. ThebrazilianpsychoFebruary 6, 2015 at 6:06 PM

The thing for me about Joker is less is more, why he does this shit? Because it's fun to him and that's it.

What made Killing Joke great was you can't believe that is his origin. He even breaks the fourth wall saying that his past is with multiple choices.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Stranger in the AlpsFebruary 6, 2015 at 6:06 PM

This segment was basically Paul Heyman (I'm assuming as an extension of WWE) supporting Brian Williams, calling him an entertainer because he's on television.

Heyman: "Never let the facts get in the way of a good story."

    ReplyDelete
  170. Get a flurry from Micky d's

    ReplyDelete
  171. I like the idea that Joker is such a mystery and is so evil that I can buy him being a timeless incarnation of evil. It's a weird concept. Normally I wouldn't like it but it's been presented in such an interesting way that I like it.

    ReplyDelete
  172. Did King just deathgrip Jake's dick on that pin?

    ReplyDelete
  173. So through however many matches in we are this is the worst Summerslam ever.

    ReplyDelete
  174. In the world of Chipper Jones, the FBI just confirmed Sandy Hook was a hoax. WTF?

    ReplyDelete
  175. ThebrazilianpsychoFebruary 6, 2015 at 6:08 PM

Maybe it's just me, but Snyder's Batman is really overrated. The only arc I really enjoyed was Death of The Family, that was classic.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Worst dressed is still the Rockers to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  177. Chipper has been killing it on social media since he retired. Where was all this when he played?

    ReplyDelete
  178. Grocery store?

    ReplyDelete
  179. Stranger in the AlpsFebruary 6, 2015 at 6:09 PM

    Oh, Chipper....not you too

    *smh*

    ReplyDelete
  180. I don't feel like you are being genuine when you say its been a blast. Have I analyzed the situation correctly?

    ReplyDelete
  181. next he'll say that Bonds was clean.

    ReplyDelete
  182. Jake's said that was real alcohol Lawler was pouring all over him. What a sweetie.

    ReplyDelete
  183. I've loved Snyder's Batman. Only current comic I really keep up with. Court of Owls was great, Death of Family was classic and this current arc is even better imo.

I'm torn on Zero Year. It would have been so much better if it had only been 5 or 6 issues. They stretched it to 11 and so the last half of the story loses a ton of steam. The first 5 issues of Zero Year are amazing but the rest are pretty mediocre.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Worst Dressed of All Time is their's to lose.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Jake was getting shit faced one way or another.

    ReplyDelete
  186. HE's not THAT removed from reality.

    ReplyDelete
  187. Just had White Castle myself.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Watched SummerSlam 2010 for the first time. #VintageCena

  189. honestly I'd probably grab one of the dollar cheese burgers from McD. Probably only around 350 cal (of awful ness) so at least your only dipping your toes in the deep end.
