Brock Lesnar Update
While the exact reason as to why Lesnar walked out before RAW is still unknown, his argument with Vince McMahon was described as "loud and heated" and it became loud enough that people were became concerned, mainly for Vince. Also, at last Tuesday's Smackdown tapings, people within the WWE reportedly asked Vince if they needed to come up with a backup plan for the WrestleMania main event but Vince said no and assured them that Lesnar would be there working the show because he is contractually obliged to and said something to the effect that he would sue Lesnar if he did in fact no-show the PPV.

Samoa Joe Update
Independent promotions have been told that Joe will not be taking any more dates after April, which has lead to speculation that he might be signing with the WWE. Joe's last date for Ring of Honor is on April 25th.

I think we know of one man who could defend the honor and prestige of the WWE Title if Lesnar walks out. He is the master and ruler of the word..............
ReplyDeleteAlundra Blayze is gonna take the HOF plaque and throw it in the garbage.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Calhouns!!!!
ReplyDeleteFinally all the "Vince hates Madusa for throwing the women's title in the trash can" rumors will be put to rest.
ReplyDeleteShe's been featured on WWE.com several times and still gets royalty checks from the company. She's been on the company's good side for a while now.
That rumor always annoyed me because it made it seem like Vince was a mark for the belt. He of all people should've known it was just business, nothing personal.
Anyway, it would be hilarious if at the induction ceremony her inductor brings a garbage can and takes the old women's belt out of it.
"Mainly for Vince,"
ReplyDeleteAny Brock "newz" I'm just going to go ahead and write off as bullshit until March 31.
ReplyDeleteThings could change of course, but its looking more and more like Lesnar is done after WM. If enough word gets out about that, I fear a repeat of Brock/Goldberg at WM considering it will be against one guy who is leaving and another everyone apparently hates.
ReplyDeleteI remember some insider-y report in the local newspaper (probably just some guy with an Observer subscription - the times don't change that much) prior to Survivor Series '90 with a list of all the guys who were going to be gone right after the PPV: Neidhart, Ax, Honky Tonk, Valentine, Volkoff, Zhukov, Tanaka, and Sato. I didn't believe a word of it.
ReplyDeleteThen I watched the PPV and all those guys got jobbed out quickly and decisively. Couldn't believe it. And then Neidhart, Valentine and Tanaka kept their jobs (Honky did, too, I think, but left a month or so later). Never knew the real story about why half of them stuck around when they were apparently marked for death.
He-Man!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wt0YKyWpjqE
ReplyDeleteStopping in just to share with you all this video of Hulk Hogan Appreciation Night. I was in the crowd, and it was such a moving experience to see such a hero of the ring be saluted and given his proper due. If only MSG would salute Sammartino and even Backlund with a similar banner (which I know will only be hung during WWE events -- still cool anyway).
MOST IMPORTANTLY, Hogan says ONCE AGAIN that's he got one more match left in him. The Reigns experiment will derail right after Mania and the final comeback of Hulkamania will reign supreme. It will FINALLY give me an excuse to watch WWE again.
The Summer of Hogan begins in three or four months. I'll see you all then!
I've been watching Great American Bash 98 and it's a fucking sweet show so far. A great Benoit/Booker match that goes near 20 minutes, Saturn vs Kanyon and Jericho/Malenko up next. I know it's WCW and the show will fall apart as it goes on, but it's been a great first hour
ReplyDeleteWhat if it started even earlier? Bret Hart was featured solo on the cover of the August 1988 issue of WWF Magazine with the byline of Bret "Hitman" Hart arrives Lean & Mean.
ReplyDeleteThat was a legit BIG deal at the time. I know the Harts faced the Demos at Summerslam that year but it looks like someone at least considered pushing Bret as a singles act that year starting with a solo feud with Bad News Brown.
Place to be Nation Re-Books WrestleMania VII
ReplyDeletehttp://placetobenation.com/the-great-wrestlemania-re-book-wrestlemania-vii/
There was a point when WCW's undercard coupled with WWF's main event scene was the greatest wrestling promotion of all time.
ReplyDeleteI know that's how I watched Raw and Nitro every week and it absolutely extended to their PPV's.
This is, uh, long.
ReplyDeleteHe should have been pushed as soon as he popped out of the womb.
ReplyDeleteHe did go solo for a while around that time. They seemed to always be flirting with the idea before actually going through with it, I was watching old Superstars episodes on YouTube and you'll get the random Bret singles squash match before his real push started.
ReplyDeleteWWE is lucky that Jon Stewart is a WWE fan. This could've turned out to be yet another example of WWE trying to cling to a mainstream star's fame only for it to backfire. Remember Charlie Sheen challenging Daniel Bryan to a match at SummerSlam 2012?
ReplyDeleteThen again, this will somehow turn out to WWE using Stewart to promote Roman Reigns, which will mean little or nothing to the typical WWE fan and even less to non-fans.
Watch HHH induct Sunny into the HOF just to fuck with Chyna.
ReplyDeleteThey appear content on killing the overness of every face besides Cena and Taker on the roster so Reigns can be the top dog.
ReplyDeleteSunny is already in.
ReplyDeleteInducting her for a second time in lieu of Chyna probably would annoy Chyna I guess
ReplyDeleteVince has a long history of beating up MMA fighters.
ReplyDeleteNice trade by the Bruins, picking up Brett Connolly.
ReplyDeleteRight!
ReplyDeleteOops meant to type "re-induct".
ReplyDeleteI think she's already in the HoF, Calhoun.
ReplyDeleteHe is young and has potential but really hasn't produced. Still, they didn't give up that much. I like the move.
ReplyDeleteThis whole Brock thing reminds me of Ultimate Warrior at Summerslam '91.
ReplyDelete"They appear content on killing the overness of every face besides Cena and Taker on the roster so Reigns can be the top dog."
ReplyDeleteHeck, it's not just the people on the roster -- The Rock hasn't gotten booed like he did at Rumble 2015 in over a decade. Heyman's promo also put Reigns over just about every historical icon in the company's history.
All of WWE's 50-year history will be sacrificed in order to get Reigns over.
Question for Canadian Doomers: How many fellow Canadians do you know that are not fans of Canada-based NHL teams?
ReplyDeleteI think he would have gotten a shot this season but Tampa's second line came out of nowhere and gelled awesomely. But like you said, Boston didn't give up much.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... do you send Joe to NXT or bring him in as a surprise and much-needed excitement on the main roster?
ReplyDeleteTwo 2nd Rounders towards the middle-end of the draft.
ReplyDeleteAye. Wasting Juventud here on a match with Reese, but then it's Eddie vs Chavo. Booker vs Finlay to come. Can't argue with this card much.
ReplyDeleteA more accurate assessment is do you send Joe to NXT where he can be booked like he did in 05 TNA or do you send Joe to the main roster where he'll end up getting booked like 03 Rikishi.
ReplyDeleteNXT. I doubt WWE fans know who he is unless he's intro'ed in a smark town.
ReplyDeleteA few. Most are fans of Boston or Detroit.
ReplyDeleteBreak his leg, Sheik. Break his leg...
ReplyDeleteNone.
ReplyDeleteMost Canadian fans are also fans of U.S Based teams from the Bruins,Kings,Hawks,Wings etc but always as a #2 to their local team.
It would suck if people were actually over.
ReplyDelete0.00001% chance he makes the main roster on Day 1.
ReplyDeleteWhich is a good thing, looks like Trips is on his way to making NXT another actual promotion and slowly phasing out the developmental tag. Well maybe not phasing out but that portion of the promotion becoming less important.
Mother of god.
ReplyDeleteMan, this cult is way too 90's.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.heavensgate.com/
Did anyone else watch the RoH PPV last night? I thought it was pretty good, but not exactly memorable. I liked what they did with the Maria/ODB match, it was better than I expected. The main event was good and I thought the finish was ok. I always think a 4 way match needs a finish a little like that one...sort of clustery, without the guy that wins having to hit his finisher 5 times.
ReplyDeleteThe truth on that situation came out a year or two back didn't it?
ReplyDeleteBasically Warrior didn't blackball or threaten anyone the day/week of the show but Vince got pissed and canned him anyway at least for a lil while.
But this one is modern baby!
ReplyDeleteBryan was.
ReplyDeleteIt was a scumbag thing to do then and it still is. She doesn't deserve to be in the HOF.
ReplyDeleteWell from the sounds of it, Vince didn't back down from Brock. I'll give him that much
ReplyDelete1. WORK!
ReplyDeleteI thought Warrior did hold up Vince for the money? He showed the check that he never cashed at his HOF induction. I could be wrong, though.
ReplyDelete"Vince said no and assured them that Lesnar would be there working the show because he is contractually obliged to and said something to the effect that he would sue Lesnar if he did in fact no-show the PPV. "
ReplyDeleteYeah, because that plan worked so well with Punk.
I believe that Brock was pissed and walked out. He just cares about the $.
ReplyDeleteNow Vince will get snapped in half.
ReplyDeleteThat Reddit Metsfan guy said Brock told Vince he wanted to go to the UFC PPV and Vince didn't want him to go and that's when the argument started.
ReplyDeleteThat's a possibility.
ReplyDeleteI knew it!
ReplyDeleteI knew it was a big a deal that he was on that show. Vince did not approve that.
Maybe starting the push a year earlier might have built him up to be a bigger star by the time he won the belt in 92 but probably not by much.
ReplyDeleteTrue. I mean besides Bryan. Who else is over besides him that they're actively not killing?
ReplyDeleteSure. But the backup plan for WM? No chance.
ReplyDeleteMistah Verne-uh Gagne-uh, I cannot-uh do this....
ReplyDeletePunk had fulfilled his contracted dates even though he still had a few months left in his actual term.
ReplyDeleteApples & Oranges.
Created this 93 mod for TEW. I'm currently playing as WWF with a small twist, I signed Sting in August. Having fun doing my own version of the Foreign Fanatics vs All Americans for Survivor Series.
ReplyDeleteI'm not trying to be mean, but if you feel the need to include a summary of your e-mail in your e-mail, maybe cut everything else and just go with the summary?
ReplyDeleteThey killed off everyone else through bad booking before that. WWE did a superb job of burying guys in 2014.
ReplyDeleteWill anything other than Brock-Reigns be the last match of the show: https://whatistheexcel.com/wooobooru/_images/e0d4ee2b5b21636da1e6297b1d7b70b5/9446%20-%20arms_folded%20frowning%20macro%20no%20tomko.jpg
ReplyDeleteHaving fun Maggle
ReplyDeleteThe only time I've seen a finisher hit five times, and I really bought the kickout...
ReplyDeleteWarrior vs. Savage, Wrestlemania VII
Anything else is probably overkill.
Didn't their members commit mass suicide?
ReplyDeleteI have a morbid fascination for this stuff.
"Who cares if he is pushing Ludvig Borga too much maggle, as long as the WWF Universe is making their voices heard!"
ReplyDeleteMaria's outfit... (drool...)
ReplyDeleteAnd that was when retirement matches had some sort of impact, so it made it believable.
ReplyDeleteWhat's funny is that Brock works for Vince like 10 days a year. Brock was probably telling Vince as a professional courtesy, "I'm going to UFC 184." Vince didn't like it. But as I said, Brock works for Vince like 10 days a year. Despite what Vince thinks, he doesn't have the right to tell Lesnar what to do on his approximately 355 days off from WWE.
ReplyDeleteAfter all, Brock is an INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR.
The Lewis Black bit on Heaven's Gate is hilarious...
ReplyDelete"If I'm in a meeting, and a person says, "My name is Bo, this is Peep (points to woman)", guess what? END OF MEETING."
I was listening to Meltzer the other day and he was talking about how a good booker listens to the fans while a great booker manipulates the fans and it got me thinking how Vince is doing neither of those things at the moment. Sad.
ReplyDeleteI liked it, but that's no surprise. I'm a bit immune to finishers in ROH. The matches are usually booked so the finisher is hit too early, out of cockiness, or when both competitors are absolutely dead.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of 4 way matches, though.
It was mentioned that anyone not named CenaTaker who is over is going to be sacrificed in some way to get Reigns over (Rock, Bryan).
ReplyDeleteIf Brock stays, will he be added to the pile?
I'd add Ambrose and Ziggler to that list.
ReplyDeleteAmbrose was far more popular than Reigns with crowds, especially when Reigns was out with the hernia issue. As soon as Reigns comes back, Ambrose was jobbing to exploding TV sets and being a goof.
Ziggler was over as anything after Survivor Series. Once Reigns came back, Ziggler became an afterthought of an afterthought.
Well considering he'll be the one to put the strap on Roman doesn't that count?
ReplyDeleteI liked the finish as well. I was telling a buddy that is the sort of finish you should have for a 4 way match (not really a fan either since it really involves 2 guys fighting and 2 guys laying for the most part).
ReplyDeleteVince is listening to his stockholders, if anyone. But the fans have proven that they'll support his ish no matter what, so he does what he wants with no repercussions.
ReplyDeleteIs he so out of touch that he thought that he was manipulating the fans with the "Reigns and Bryan have great match / Bryan gives Reigns his blessing" story?
ReplyDeleteWow...............
ReplyDeleteOww...............

Woo................
Hey...............
No matter what happens, Joe needs to get motivated again and that includes slimming down a bit. I'm not saying he has to be Sami Zayn, but at least a little bit less weight.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird, because in a way he's trying to manipulate the fans into his way of thinking.
ReplyDeleteWith disastrous results.
Exactly my line of thinking.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I mean. They're killing anyone's chance of getting over, aside from Rollins, and he's protected.
ReplyDeleteReading the lyrics to that almost ruins it... ALMOST.
ReplyDeleteI doubt any WWE stockholder is saying "Give that Roman Reigns a rocket push!"
ReplyDeleteVince is trying to create his post-Cena company star. Problem is, Vince has never really built a company star from the ground up. Hogan was hugely over before he returned to WWF in 1984. Austin, Rock, and Cena all got over because their own approaches to their characters connected with fans.
Dropped off laundry, dropped off and picked up some dry cleaning and I've applied to 8 jobs so far this morning. As I continue to sift through job ads - I want to hit 15-20 resumes today - I'm now watching "The Big Event" on the Network. I've never sat through it before.
ReplyDeleteI still love that WCW Slam Jam CD.
ReplyDeleteThe answer, of course, is he goes to NXT so he can be 2005 Joe so he can then be called up to the main roster to become 2003 Rikishi.
ReplyDeleteI was talking about it during the show Saturday...is this is the first time a reigning WWE Champion was prominently displayed on UFC PPV?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Punk in 2012, but he wasn't featured and posing on camera.
Ditto. Back then, something like this would work, but it only works if the fans actually buy the other guy as a threat. No one is buying what Reigns is selling (take that however you want).
ReplyDeleteVery few people have, I think. You're gonna need to update your resume with that!
ReplyDeleteRight. Did he not realize that a similar formula with Hogan/Warrior 25 years ago didn't work out in the long run, and Warrior was far more over with crowds than Reigns is now?
ReplyDeleteWriting promos that include "Suffering Succotash" in 2015 is so out of touch that it is not even funny. Might as well give him "ring around the collar" as a catchphrase.
ReplyDeleteTBF, Hogan killing Warrior out of the gate and the lack of good opponents to make Warrior credible hurt him.
ReplyDeleteFun show. Here is my electrifying review of that one.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.rspwfaq.net/2014/08/wwf-big-event-august-28th-1986.html
Might as well cock the Superman punch and say "Where's the beef?"
ReplyDeleteI'll definitely be distracting myself with that later!
ReplyDelete"You know, for everyone that complains about how little they care about this year's show, I sure get a lot of e-mails about it every day."
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic.
It was the Monday Night War. She was doing what her boss told her to do, and she was doing it to an employer who had just fired her. Both her and Bischoff have said that it was Bischoff's idea and he told her to do it. If she didn't and he fired her, where was she going to go?
ReplyDeleteTitles -- particularly WWE women belts -- are expensive props.
You guys think Network will even put up full years of WWF Superstars orWCW Saturday Night?
ReplyDeleteI want to believe that, but why not just have Macho King go for the title? I know that it was teased during the Survivor Series/Royal Rumble, but let's be real...that would've done much better business than rehashing the Rude thing.
ReplyDeleteI think so. And if it bothers Vince, guess what? Don't put the world title on a guy that only works for you 10 days a year.
ReplyDeleteYet in any scenario, I feel that WWE will lose somehow.
ReplyDeleteOn an Observer show ages ago, Dave was talking about how WWE was mad at Bryan because he no-sold being fired in 2010. He was all just like "Okay, fine. I'll just go do indies and stuff, I'll be okay". They wanted him to I don't know, be devastated and cry and beg because he was leaving the amazing WWE. They probably never really forgave him for that.
ReplyDeleteLike wrestling fans are the only fans of something who bitch about it constantly and keep watching.
ReplyDeleteEver meet a Phillies fan?
They killed off the heels when Warrior was champ
ReplyDeleteVince is a little more hip with the times than that. He's going to tell Reigns to say "WHASSSSSUP!" instead
ReplyDeleteSuperstars maybe, and maybe old NWA Saturday Nights, but I doubt they'll ever put up Saturday Night from the Nitro/Thunder era
ReplyDeleteHogan had spent the better half of a calendar year burying Savage's cred and he was feuding with Polka Dots for 6 months. At least Rude had beaten Warrior before.
ReplyDeleteMan, WWE is really turning into the Cartman of Pro Wrestling.
ReplyDeleteI'm not that lucky.
ReplyDeleteIf Cena wins the US title and Bryan wins the IC title at Mania. Does that elevate each of those titles or make Reigns as WWE World Champion look even more stupid?
ReplyDeleteThis guy should totally go cry in his mayo bowl.
ReplyDeleteRight, and the top one at the time (Quake) was focused on Hogan.
ReplyDeleteHe cut a strange promo in the 1st season of NXT when he got eliminated too.
ReplyDeleteGave absolutely zero fucks over it and even namedropped uh his own name.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=63c5RZGuejE
It does all 3.
ReplyDeleteYes to both of those questions.
ReplyDeleteWe might agree to disagree about Savage, he was still a top threat in early 1990. He would've done better business than Rude.
ReplyDeleteBelee dat.
ReplyDeleteI remember that, it was the only time Bryan Danielson was ever said on WWE TV.
ReplyDeleteBoth secondary titles will be back to their usual spots by summer no matter what happens.
ReplyDeleteThat's if they even bother taking the titles off Cena & Daniel the proper way.
Hogan killed Warrior out of the gate? Hogan was out of the title picture from Mania 6 until Warrior lost the belt.
ReplyDeleteAs for lack of credible opponents, Reigns has the same problem. If Vince thinks fans will be invested in Reigns vs. Big Show or Kane post-Mania, it might be the most out-of-touch thing he's done in a long list of being out-of-touch.
I hope Russo's not reading. A "Chili with Pubes in it" storyline is right in his wheelhouse.
ReplyDeleteThe fuck-up in the Hard-Rockers title switch had something to do with this too, right? The Rockers were supposed to win the belts in Oct 90 and Bret goes on his merry way up the singles ladder. I still don't get why they don't just redo that match on a Superstars taping or something.
ReplyDeleteMaybe, my thinking is flexible. But Savage post-WM5 was getting crushed by Hogan at every turn. And he just lost to Captain Hambone at 6.
ReplyDeleteI just don't think the fans would've bought him as a credible threat.
Id like to see Joe in WWE, but I just dont buy it.
ReplyDeleteKnowing Cena, they'll have him give up holding the title after winning it because he just wanted to get it off of Rusev. Bryan will then job out all of his matches but in a stronger fashion.
ReplyDeleteHe stole the show when the Nexus first invaded.
ReplyDelete"YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ME....(points at Cena)....YOU ARE NOT BETTER THAN ME."
(massive kick to the temple)
We could only wish the Intercontinental title means something again. Bryan could legitimize it provided management books quality defenses and keeps the belt on him a while.
ReplyDeleteHe better be watching the episode where he kills off his toys, that was a neat swerve.
ReplyDeleteAmbrose was on the cusp of being the most over guy in a long time when he was chasing Rollins. Now he's just another guy. Had his push matched the responses he was getting I could have quite easily seen Ambrose in the main event at Mania against Lesnar
ReplyDeleteWhy does it seem Vince has the maturity level of a 8 year old pervert?
ReplyDeleteAnd then the crowd chanted "You're a loser!"
ReplyDeleteWell, to be fair, Sapphire pinned Sherri, so Macho's heat is intact.
ReplyDeleteBut you're right, Macho was getting crushed by Hogan throughout most of 1989.
I think he's headed to NJPW.
ReplyDeleteHogan hanging around immediately after Warrior won took some of the spotlight from Warrior (out of the gate). Plus any top heel (that was left) wasn't featured against him.
ReplyDeleteYes Reigns has the same problem, but like you said, Warrior was more over.
Can we just be happy with the fact that if Bryan wins at Mania, he then can say he's held every title and is also considered a new triple crown winner?
ReplyDeleteAgreed. But no one is getting over in this "era of midcard booking". Reigns has always been the guy, and they're killing everyone instead of elevating him.
ReplyDeleteRavishing Rick Rude's theme...hilarious and awesome.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of which....enjoy!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AxV0KXAbLJI
I'm not sure I buy that, because they hired him back quickly afterward. If they were really annoyed with him, they could've just left him in ROH or PWG wherever else he was.
ReplyDeleteWhich is the exact opposite of normal business practise. Give the customer what they want. I don't get it.
ReplyDeleteb/c they've only sold 60,000 tix for mania? or only have 1 million subscribers to their own network. I think "disastrous" is quite the exaggeration.
ReplyDeleteOr can we be smartasses and just say that, like a horse, his heat was taken to the back and shot like previous triple crown winners?
ReplyDeleteI'm perfectly fine with where WWE is headed currently. We wanted a youth movement. We wanted new stars. We are getting just that. Reigns as WWE Champion, Bryan is IC Champion, Cena is US Champion defending the title against up and comers and getting them over, Kidd/Cesaro are Tag Champs. Rollins is the MITB briefcase holder. Bray is getting a WrestleMania match against the Undertaker which is a huge deal win or loss. Ambrose is still over. Ziggler is still over. Barrett is a great heel.
ReplyDeleteI just wish they'd get a little bit better of stories surrounding the in-ring stuff, which has been excellent.
It was all storyline, wasn't it? He was back within weeks.
ReplyDeleteThey needed a big surprise for Summerslam.
ReplyDeleteMan to even be asking if they needed a back up plan means it must have been a hell of a fight with Brock. So I guess we should assume it was Brock being insulted about getting low balled and not that brock is passionate to stay and wants a good deal right?
ReplyDeleteHe choked out Justin Roberts with his own tie and one of the advertisers got pissed off so they canned him then brought him back.
ReplyDeleteHave The Miz be the Nexus' bigger picture. Have the entire concept of NXT be Miz's "Ultimate Reality Show" where the rest of the roster rallied alongside him when Bryan was insubordinate.
ReplyDeleteThat's where this should've been going all along. Also, Maryse should've been his valet, and not DiBiase's.
My god man, you've just swapped one variety of kool-aid for another! :)
ReplyDeletePunk did not hold any titles, nor was he really booked for anything.
ReplyDeleteHe is manipulating the fans into turning the channel and quitting the network when it isn't offered for free.
ReplyDeleteHaving a youth movement is fine, but that movement isn't poised to carry things into the next years.
ReplyDeleteAll of those people you mentioned should be much more popular than they are now, carrying gates and selling out places. The booking is keeping them from being interesting. Holding secondary titles means you're jobbing to less over acts.
Don't look at who they have - look at WHAT they're doing with them.
The NHL trade deadline should be a national holiday with trades barred until the day itself
ReplyDeleteI would love to see him against Ishii.
ReplyDeleteAye bless his cotton socks, Punk didn't agree to the HHH program and THEN walk out four weeks before Mania, he did bail out before anything really started
ReplyDeleteYeah, I remember, but he was taken off TV with the express notion that he would be brought back soon. I thought it was basically confirmed that he was "fired" not fired.
ReplyDeleteI would be, but yet another PPV loss for Ambrose would just kill him even further. They book him like a joke, yet he's still over, but if he loses all the way up until May then forget it. A win at WrestleMania would reset things for him, I think. I hope.
ReplyDeleteCarrying gates and selling out places doesn't affect me personally. Sure, it would be nice if the company were making a ton of money and such, but it's not like I'm investing any of my money into the product outside of the occasional $9.99 for a PPV and full library, which is well worth it.
ReplyDeleteAnd you should win things by watching!
ReplyDeleteI inherited a fantasy baseball team last year and came in second place. Wish I would have paid attention to what the previous owner did. I had a draft pick last night every 20 picks. Had 10 keepers but was destroyed otherwise. Fack.
ReplyDeleteYea, he was fired but not FIRED. I think they told him to not sign with TNA or any other company that would tie him down
ReplyDeleteI'm inclined to think that he actually is an 8-year-old pervert in a 69-year-old body.
ReplyDeleteHis conversations with Russo about Sable/White Cotton Panties, as well as his insistence to have a Steak Burrito with ketchup every day for lunch...
Yep, that's an 8-year-old.
*grabs a cup*
ReplyDeleteShare share share!
Watched the Dark Knight trilogy as a whole for the first time ever last night and my main criticism of the films is Batman's fighting style. It's all clunky elbows and fists and Chrstian Bale is just really, really slow. Hopefully this is something they correct in the future.
ReplyDeleteWell the interesting thing I guess is that the date he gave as a cutoff coincides with the next NXT tapings from what I read.
ReplyDeleteSportsNet has just been talking about trade deadlines past the entire time since they have nothing to talk about
ReplyDeleteI'm all for guys making as much money as as someone is willing to pay them but I'm surprised Brock would get so upset. I mean I would think for him at this point it would be I want this... or I go home. How much money does that guy need based on everything we know about his life style? working on your farm..growing a beard and laying on Sable doesn't seem to need a ton of disposable income.
ReplyDeleteWhat good is that youth movement if it's just constantly booked against Big Show & Kane?
ReplyDeleteHell, get Christopher Daniels to fly out there...let's see another 3-Way with AJ.
ReplyDeleteBrock also knows he has a limited shelf life to make this money.
ReplyDeletefair enough.
ReplyDeleteHow long until Moose from RoH signs a deal with WWE? That dude is athletic as hell
ReplyDeleteSo, it's incredibly unlikely that Brock skips Wrestlemania 31...but if he does...
ReplyDeleteDo we have another Great Americah Bash 1991 on our hands?
"Who the fuck rehired the Natural Disasters?" -- Vince, upon walking into the NXT arena and seeing Kevin Owens speaking to Samoa Joe.
ReplyDeleteHey Scotty, keep the Purel on hand after high-fiving Dougie, mmm-kay?
ReplyDeleteIf anything I think he'd come in as a trainer. He'd get a couple matches maybe a la Rhyno but he'd end up behind the scenes more than likely. No way Vince and Dunn would use him correctly on RAW at all, and no way is he dumb enough to think they would.
ReplyDeleteRikishi....Bastion....what are you guys doing here?
ReplyDeleteHe then immediately cuts the catering budget in NXT by 90%
ReplyDeleteBecause you can appreciate the youth movement by seeing how well they fare against Big Show's frying pan hands.
ReplyDeleteThat's your only criticism, not that the third film is flaming pile of shit or Christopher Nolan is awful?
ReplyDeleteHave you SEEN those things in person?
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to that Kevin Owens-Tongan John confrontation.
ReplyDeleteI'm not talking about the upcoming Wrestlemania event. I'm talking about the past results like Rumble ('14/'15) and Fast Lane.
ReplyDeleteThese were finishes that the fans did not care for, and they loudly voiced their disapproval.
Hating the 3rd film I can see, but Nolan is hardly awful. Not every film's a winner, but he's not Michael Bay or anything.
ReplyDeleteDamn guys, sad news today. Not sure my temp gig at RS will last as long as everyone originally thought. This sucks big time
ReplyDelete"Bankrupt chains Delia's, Wet Seal and Caché
have all closed hundreds of stores since the fall, and 1,700 RadioShacks
will follow."
So I can't eat anything all day until so I can have a CT Scan done today. I'm hungry and I'm not looking forward to this, and now i'm watching total divas on Hulu for god knows what reason.
ReplyDeleteThey're like Frying Pans with fingers.
ReplyDeleteWho's Tongan John? I'm looking forward to Owens vs. YUMANGA.
ReplyDeleteThey could have but I think Vince just changed his mind and the rope breaking gave him a chance to ignore the title change.
ReplyDeleteMore like Owens vs. Chubmaga, AMIRITE!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear, dude. For all we disagree on, I still hate to see something like that.
ReplyDeleteI was let go from my post last month, if it's any consolation. You're not the only one who'll be looking for another gig.
Hope everything turns out OK.
ReplyDeleteSamoa Dough?
ReplyDeleteWahoo got around in 94. First on an ep of Raw with Tatanka now at the Slamboree PPV.
