  1. And speaking of floors, how about those , huh?

  2. Dylan Roof left behind a manifesto. I'm reading it now, it's the same generic racist bullshit you can find anywhere on the net.

The apartment is (mostly) clean and (mostly) ready for a visit from my parents in the morning, and I now have to go to work. At least it's a miserably dreary day outside, so I'm not wasting a gorgeous summer day on the seventh floor.

  4. Alright guys, the shoot interview poll ended in a tie between Kevin Steen and CM Punk. First three votes count so reply to this now.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Extant1979 - Extreme SuperstarJune 20, 2015 at 10:02 AM

    Steen

    ReplyDelete
  6. Did you expect anything more? He looked like he was borderline illiterate.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Steen. Seen Punk talk enough.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Alright, Steen won the shoot interview poll

It's amazing he managed to figure out how to copy and paste into a Word document. It probably wasn't even Word. It was probably a fucking notepad file.

  10. I hate those Insert Sports Team In Last Place jerks!

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think it funny how he opens it by saying he wasn't raised racist or grew up in a racist environment, but in the next sentence says as a kid, he thought blacks were the real racists.

  13. [My Local Sports Team] wiped up the [Playing Surface] with them.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Had no idea the Steen shoot was four hours long. Gonna listen to this for a bit.

  15. You misspelled Rush Limbaugh again.

  16. "But I poop from there!"
    "Not right now you don't"

  17. I'm taking a break from pulling up carpet. Is there a trick to getting the staples out of the floor?

    ReplyDelete
  18. HOLY SHIT THEY MADE A LAKE PLACID VS ANACONDA MOVIE. THIS IS NOT A DRILL, THIS IS REAL AND IT EXISTS.

    ReplyDelete
  19. that haircut. Dude, that haircut. Out of this whole ordeal, the only thing I remain fixated on is that damn haircut

    ReplyDelete
  20. Crowbar... wait, do you mean the tack strip? Or actual staples?

    ReplyDelete
  21. [Your Local Sports Team] hacked up the [Surface Tablet] with them. Or something

    ReplyDelete
  22. Both now that you bring it up

    ReplyDelete
  23. Best way to get the tack strip up is with a crowbar. Just take the flat end and slam it into the tack strip and it should come right up. Staples... no clue.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ok, thanks for the help

    ReplyDelete
  25. This comment needs Vince McMahon yelling that it's a com-PLETE disastah.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Solid tack strip advice already given. The only success I've had with carpet staples is using needle nose pliers.

Well, I think I know the double header with Jurassic World now tonight...

I threw this in the Friday thread, but I'm throwing it in here too: Gunner done with TNA. No big loss.

And Murphy's real name was Michael Cole... ah wrestling...

I woke up this morning to find out that Turner Classic Movies has been added to the Sling base package.

Also, some shit show channel called Polaris. Something to do with gaming, or something.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I can't afford it. I've outsourced out so much stuff trying to get the house up to snuff that I'm forced back into manual labor.

    ReplyDelete
  37. At work for the next five and a half hours. As nice as it was to have Friday off, it's torture working nine to six on a Saturday.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I've been watching trolls on FB label every attempt to show disparities in how he's treated versus criminals of other races "racist." A friend of mine, a lawyer who happens to be a black Republican, said that he hoped that a jury of Paula Deen Dixiecrats didn't screw this up, and an idiot called him a racist.

I had to clarify the difference between racism and prejudice: prejudice is a belief, while racism is action upon that belief. Racism carries consequences, and generally speaking, we lack the social agency for us to impose consequences upon others.

  42. Paula Deen scares me.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Some people really are tone deaf assholes, aren't they?

    ReplyDelete
  44. And that speaker is a complete asshat, and should be ignored as such. Sadly, between the media and the tards who still think it's actually "journalism", that won't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  45. She's about as harmful as a sheet of paper. And maybe 2% as useful.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Lindsay Graham on Facebook posted that we shouldn't pass legislation against guns, but against "godless Hollywood and video games that glorify violence." So basically the right to bear arms is sacrosanct, but it's okay to regulate speech.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Oprah NoodlemantraJune 20, 2015 at 10:42 AM

But after a shooting is not the best time to talk about gun control!

    ReplyDelete
  48. STOP MAKING POLITICAL THINGS POLITICAL!

Somehow, as a Canadian, I blame Obama for this!

    ReplyDelete
  51. We keep confusing rights and privileges in this country.

    ReplyDelete
  52. What's truly scary about her is what she represents. She built her empire on the backs of people she hated, and if she hadn't been caught on camera confessing to using the n-word, no one would've ever believed it about her. Then, she acted as if she was the victim.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'm going load up Spring Stampede 99 on the network. I think its the best ppv they ever did. Also the last good one.

  59. The NRA is running interference for gun manufacturers, like they always do. I expect that there will be some NRA event full of cheering gun nuts in the vicinity of Charleston, SC, in the next few weeks.

    ReplyDelete
  60. A couple days ago, Obama did a fundraiser and a podcast in LA. A bunch of my friends had their going home commute times double or triple.
After each complaint, almost all of them had "Thanks Obama" at the end

    ReplyDelete

    Super Juvidriver!

    ReplyDelete
  67. President, sports team, Kardashian, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Bush would never come to LA because Hollywood hates him

    ReplyDelete
  69. Okay, but we still don't know it was about race. I mean, where never gonna know that. Just because he said it was about race when he did it and when he was arrested, and he left a racist manifesto, we are still never going to really know what was in his heart. It was probably really an attack on Christians and Obamacare. And it was probably a statement about Benghazi.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Its sad to see what Ken Shamrock has turned into.

    ReplyDelete
  71. A little freudian slip by Obama at that fundraiser:

"At a star-studded Hollywood fundraiser hosted by actor-producer Tyler Perry Thursday night, Obama confused his present situation with that of a federal prisoner.

"We should be reforming our criminal justice system in such a way that we are not incarcerating non-violent offenders in ways that renders them incapable of getting a job after they leave office," he said.

Taking his cue from the laughter, Obama acknowledged the Freudian slip.

"Little slip of the tongue there," he said. "Tyler is going to give me a job once I leave.""

  73. Of course, according to Rick Perry, it was a tragic accident having to do with drugs, not race.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Well, the judge called the family of the shooter (you know, the racists who raised this racist to be a racist) victims too, so I'm not holding my breath for justice here.

    ReplyDelete
  75. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 10:52 AM

I think I'm gonna finish Entourage's first season tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Damnit, it is. I root for Philly for football and have to go elsewhere for anything else.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Yeah, I wish folks could just be real and say "I don't like him because he's black." It wouldn't make them racists; they should just be honest and we can just call them assholes and go on about our lives.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Same judge who said in 2003 that there were four kinds of people in this world: white, black, rednecks, and n-words. Said that out loud, in open court, sitting on the bench.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Perry just needs to have the victims families and the shooters family over to his "N!ggerhead" ranch so they can hug it out.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Because I'm sure a bunch of cops would roll up on that scene and nothing bad would happen

    ReplyDelete
  81. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FR5YZlznLQ

I liked this angle a lot.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Yup, read it yesterday before the fight. Pretty spot on piece I thought. I really wish these fighters would stop trying to reclaim past glory at such old ages. Shamrock in particular has tried a "comeback" at least 57 times by now.

    ReplyDelete
  83. No. We keep following people whose views are sold to the highest bidder.

    ReplyDelete
  84. So those escaped prisoners have apparently been seen headed for the Pennsylvania border.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Just looked at the box office for Entourage. That movie is bombing bad. After 17 days, less than $30 million

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  89. Every once in a while society surprises me by doing the right thing.

    ReplyDelete
  90. The really sad part is Shamrock hasn't changed one bit in 20 years. He keeps doing the exact same thing looking for a different result.

    ReplyDelete
  91. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:00 AM

Seriously, last night's fight was a fun trainwreck. Just retire, Ken.

    ReplyDelete
  92. So, all politicians of both parties. Fair enough.

    ReplyDelete
  93. His gimmick was how LA and New York are full of all them queers and minorities what ain't Real Americans, despite those two areas having 10% of the country's population.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I think I'm going to get a long tailed coat.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Every girl's crazy 'bout a sharp dressed Mahn

    ReplyDelete
  97. Free drinks at the 5 cent slots.

    ReplyDelete
  98. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:02 AM

    Drink, gamble and hump!

    ReplyDelete
  99. Not much of a gambler. I just like the food, and walking the strip.

    ReplyDelete
  100. After Beavis and Butthead, I always like to call them sluts

    ReplyDelete
  101. Not my favorite, but I did like going to the Hooters Casino to play $2 blackjack and laugh at the human garbage that was there.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I think it was Stewart or someone who tallied up all the places Palin didn't consider the "real America" and it added up to like 70% of the whole country

    ReplyDelete
  103. I always spend a bit more and go to a nice restaurant when I'm there.

One tip if you are going with a girlfriend/wife, go to Casa di Amore. Awesome food (ranked in the top 10 on tripadvisor); old school vegas feel with a guy doing the rat pack tunes; if you request it ahead of time, they will send a free limo to and from your hotel (just tip the driver). It's about 3 miles off the strip.

    ReplyDelete
  104. I also went to a crazy midget club in the MGM Grand. That was weird.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I was disappointed there. I thought all the dealers would be hooters girls

    ReplyDelete
  106. They are also on restaurant.com if you want to save a few bucks.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Jurassic World may topple Avengers's 2nd weekend record at $103m plus and Inside Out is on pace for $83m

    Holy shit.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I'd love to see that invitation.

    ReplyDelete
  109. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:13 AM

Chris Pratt is now an A-list guy.

    ReplyDelete
  110. But it suuuuuuuuuuucks. I didn't see the other two movies. Maybe they also sucked.

    ReplyDelete
  111. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:13 AM

Why the hell DC didn't called Vincent Chase for Aquaman.

    ReplyDelete
  112. JW beating Pixar on it's second weekend might be the most impressive thing about it's run.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Yeah, I thought it would dip big time after the opening. Guess not.

    ReplyDelete
  114. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:15 AM

    HOSS DANCE TIME.

    ReplyDelete
  115. I knew it would still do well because of all the press about the record. People who wouldn't normally go see a movie like that would want to see what all the fuss is about. It's how Avatar made it's money.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Fat, Ugly Inner-City SweathogJune 20, 2015 at 11:17 AM

I know we've beat this dead horse before, but after Dusty's passing, is there any increased probability they do WarGames out of tribute? HHH seems like the kind of guy who might endorse that

    ReplyDelete
  117. The only populous areas that that wing of the Republican Party consider the Real America are Texas and Florida, two of the states who joined an armed insurrection against their government.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I'm a Mets fan. My worst fanexperiences have been down at the Vet and at old Yankee Stadium. Phillies fans can be so damn unbearable.

    ReplyDelete
  119. There's only one death that'll allow for Wargames and it ain't Dustys

    ReplyDelete
  120. I would include Orange County in that too

    ReplyDelete
  121. "HEY PAL THIS MATCH LOOKS A LOT LIKE WARGAMES"

"No sir! Note the New Day are involved. It's the Clap Trap Match."

    "I LOVE THOSE DANCING COLOREDS"

    ReplyDelete
  122. Hey, it was on the short list of pictures that I almost went and saw last night, before deciding better of it.

    That's big time.

    ReplyDelete
  123. X-Pac/Kidman was actually a very good match. Maybe the best Kidman match I've ever seen.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Actually it would make them racists, but they would be honest.

    ReplyDelete
  125. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:23 AM

But he was so good in the original movie.

    ReplyDelete
  126. This Torrie/Stacy backstage segment is a little weird.

    ReplyDelete
  127. It'd make them prejudiced. Racism carries consequences. Prejudice is a belief, while racism is action upon this belief. To me, anyway.

Besides, it'd do them some good to identify their prejudice. Maybe they'd actually learn something. Wait...we're talking about Americans. Nevermind.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Oh, man. I fucking hate having to shell out for new tires. Obviously, I'm gonna do it because they're pretty important, but it's always painful.

    ReplyDelete
  129. He's getting $12M for his next movie so Id say so. I'd also say he's part of the new social-media stars where their popularity also stems from connecting from the fans online, which boosts their box office draw, like The Rock.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Going to titty bars and jerking it

    ReplyDelete
  131. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:26 AM

Give him the Indy role. I'm on Pratt's bandwagon.

    ReplyDelete
  132. Co-signed, he'd be perfect for it.

    ReplyDelete
  133. If you could give Regal's moveset and intangibles to somebody on today's roster, who would it be?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Does nobody care how BAD he was in Jurassic World?

    ReplyDelete
  135. One of the Bellas. It would be nice to have at least one of them able to wrestle.

    ReplyDelete
  136. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:29 AM

    Ryback.

    ReplyDelete
  137. If a holly wood type tried connecting with me he'd get a a stern talking to.

    ReplyDelete
  138. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:30 AM

He's like Eddy Guerrero, makes everyone love him with a smirk and swagger.

    ReplyDelete
  139. The WWE production is so stale that I don't think they'd want to adjust their stage setup to accommodate for a second ring.

    ReplyDelete
  140. I'm going to a goulash house this evening.

    ReplyDelete
  141. If you could trust him not to kill anybody, I'd give him Goldberg's moveset.

    ReplyDelete
  142. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:41 AM

I have a feeling that Cena will bust a SSP or a 450 splash soon.

    ReplyDelete
  143. My God, how are they so bad? Nikki Bella doesn't even have the "weak upper body" excuse that all the Divas who can't throw chops, clotheslines, or do body slams have.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Big Show has had some swank ass finishers over the years. I'd forgotten about the Alley Oop.

    ReplyDelete
  145. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:44 AM

Can Brock still do a SSP?

    ReplyDelete
  146. Shane getting Booker T crunk with the pep talk is hilarious. Then they cut to Regal doing the same thing for Tajiri. This show is very interesting.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Fat, Ugly Inner-City SweathogJune 20, 2015 at 11:45 AM

    Fair point

    ReplyDelete
  148. Fat, Ugly Inner-City SweathogJune 20, 2015 at 11:45 AM

Seeing Jurassic World today. Anyone have any takes on it?

    ReplyDelete
  149. Fat, Ugly Inner-City SweathogJune 20, 2015 at 11:46 AM

Have you seen the three-way match from Starrcade '98 with Rey and Juvi? Also very fun

    ReplyDelete
  150. The guy is in his late 30s and makes millions a year. Presumably, HOPEFULLY, he would never try such a thing.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Doesn't matter. A dinosaur movie needs Burt Tyrannosaurus Macklin

    ReplyDelete
  152. cabspaintedyellowJune 20, 2015 at 11:55 AM

Loved it. Mostly for nostalgic reasons. But it was a fun movie.

    ReplyDelete
  153. cabspaintedyellowJune 20, 2015 at 11:55 AM

    Gunner is gone from TNA.

Surely, they should just close up shop now, because they'll never recover from this monumental loss.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Anyone else on here a big fan of Box Office Mojo? Love that site? just endlessly fascinating.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Let's hold off on writing our eulogies for TNA until we actually get to see James Storm's new haircut.

    ReplyDelete
  156. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 11:58 AM

    Offer him more money.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Under no circumstances would I want to see him try it.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Does anyone think that another boom period can potentially happen? Or has the general public 'wisened up' and it would be impossible to duplicate that success again?

    ReplyDelete
  159. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 12:00 PM

    But I wanna see that.

    ReplyDelete
  160. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 12:00 PM

Just give them good wrestling, people will come.

    ReplyDelete
  161. I think it's partly that, and partly that the society's attention is so fractured now with the internet providing any highly specific form of entertainment at any given time that you please that it will be unlikely for anyone to capture that wide of an audience again.

    ReplyDelete
  162. Fair enough. Another view is that prejudice is belief but racism is institutional and requires power. Example, Wal-Mart could be racist but Bob the cashier would be prejudiced. Either way I get your point. Obama's presidency certainly has exposed some prejudice, which is ironic considering those who cited his election as an end to racism and/or prejudice.

    ReplyDelete
  163. May go see it today. It's a toss up between that and Spy

    ReplyDelete
  164. Clap Trap sounds like something you get from Stephanie

    *audience laugh track*

    Winner.

    ReplyDelete
  166. ThebrazilianpsychoJune 20, 2015 at 12:09 PM

    Anyone here digs Mastodon?

    ReplyDelete
  167. I remember seeing a Bobby Heenan shoot from 2001 & he said fans are too smart now; we were shown all the tricks and the magic is gone. But we drop money on movies with special effects & music that's heavily sampled. There has to be a way to get the mainstream back in...

    ReplyDelete
  168. Prepare for Starlord to be a big part of Infinity War

    ReplyDelete
  169. Shit yeah! May I also recommend Red Fang and Black Tusk

    ReplyDelete
  170. Vince is trying to psych Kurt up, and Kurt says "Enough of the Americana bullshit! You know what I did at the Olympics? I kicked some serious ass!" I love 2001 Kurt.

    ReplyDelete

I really loved Once More Round The sun, don't care if people are calling that album a sell out.

One of my favorite records ever. I think you like Bad Religion too, showed my girlfriend Recipe For Hate, she enjoyed.

  178. I think it awakened latent prejudices in people who probably had never realized how they felt. I mean, there are objective reasons to complain about his presidency, but some of the nitpicking and disrespect I've seen in the last six years goes beyond the pale. I've seen him tolerate treatment no president ever has and be blamed for things no president ever has, not to mention receiving no credit for the things he's done that actually worked. This country has a serious race problem, and the fact that we can't openly and frankly discuss it isn't helping matters.

Graffin has my sense of humor, dry as hell.

  181. I forgot all about that...lol. He just wasn't the same wrestler anymore at that point. He should've had the traditional neck surgery in 2003 and fully healed before he returned.

  184. Well, aside from the fact that he's a disgusting murderous asshole, there's no reason that statement can't be true.

  185. I think everyone can be worked. Look at Kim K. and all the reality shows. Thing is they all keep kayfabe so that might be the difference. It's like wrestling was back in the day. "You know that stuff is fake, right?"

  186. And sharp as hell. I've been meaning to get his books

  187. He still jumps to the ring apron (who knows why) so it looks like the athleticism is still there.

American Jesus is a great satire, Struck a Nerve is a reflection of our lives. Recipe for Hate is their best work by far.

  190. I don't think so. People talk about cycles, but really the second boom was spurred by a resurgance of the 80s guys coupled with a 90s edge. Attitude fit with the zeitgeist of Eminem, nu-Metal, and South Park. A third boom would have to fit into the zeitgeist somehow, it won't be created "in house".

  191. A pianoman that I know was just telling me about a song from a recent Disney picture called Let it Go and how it's quite popular with children. I put it on, and it's not even very catchy, definitely no Under the Sea.

I fear for our future if this is what the children are enjoying.

  192. I worry about a generation that thinks Ninja Turtles are that fucking big. They're not that big. They're people size. They were always people size. Maybe slightly smaller. :/
