Herd Enough?

I know Jim Herd continues to be reviled amongst wrestling fans, but given what we now know about Ric Flair's backstage behavior and the nature of the business in general, is it possible that he's not quite the villain he has been portrayed as over the years? Don't get me wrong, he really had no business running a professional wrestling organization, but with the benefit of hindsight maybe it's time for a re-evaluation of his infamy in wrestling lore.

I don’t think he’s necessarily a “villain”, but he certainly picked the wrong fight at the wrong time with the wrong guy and nearly sunk the entire promotion as a result.  I’d say that deserves some degree of infamy, no matter how much of an ass Ric Flair was in the 90s.
