Road Dogg is now on the WWE Creative Team

He now shows up to all of the Creative meetings so they have a wrestling guy present. This is similar as to what Michael Hayes used to do.

  1. Oh you didn't know?

    ReplyDelete
  2. No, I didn't. I'm glad I read this news piece and got informed!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Poor Rey. Surely he must be ready to retire at this point and I'd love to see him in one more big match as a sendoff....but how can WWE promote him in anything when it seems like a stiff breeze would blow out his knees?

    ReplyDelete
  4. Another solution would have been to... CALL SOMEBODY

    ReplyDelete
  5. I hate him, his stupid ass finisher, and the fact that he thought he had to get all bloated on PED's. I hope we never see him again.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Where is PS these days?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Beat me to it. I hadn't heard he was off the booking team.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Badstreet, Atlanta, GA?

    ReplyDelete
  9. From what it seems like, he longer goes to all of the TV shows like he used too. I don't really know too much about his role now other than that but he is not as hands on as before.

    ReplyDelete
  10. TheRealCitizenSnipsJuly 18, 2013 at 12:49 PM

So they've been running their wrestling show WITHOUT a "wrestling guy". Sure, why not

    ReplyDelete
  11. A question from a football fan: how in the world do you regenerate knee ligaments?

His stuff had got to be looking more shredded than a bag of pizza cheese right now, from all the bumps and other things he's done over the years. I didn't think it was possible to regenerate anything, and I'm wondering if this is the last step before he ends up having both knees replaced outright.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Would love to see Rey hang it up at WM30. This is just too much for him now.

Have him be a surprise entrant at Royal Rumble, put him in a program with Sin Cara building with a match between them at WM. Too Easy.

Finding a way to get Sin Cara as a heel would be tough being that he doesnt speak, but im sure they could find a way. Hell, throw him with Zeb saying "Fuck Mexico", and have Rey defend his native country. Idk...something like that

    ReplyDelete
  13. Possible Spoiler:

So according to some sites the Orton injury at Smackdown is just a work so that when he cashes in on Bryan at Summerslam it will be unexpected.

    ReplyDelete
  14. It's a brand new treatment in clinical study right now:

    http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/01/130124163246.htm

    ReplyDelete
  15. From everything i've read, in the not to distant future, you're going to be able to grow cloned internal organs and ligaments and such from your own stem cells or compatible ones. People will live a lot longer in the future...well, at least rich people will.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Sin Cara will botch his way to the future endeavored line before Rey comes back.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Sin Cara could be a face. Face v face with Rey putting him over as the next Mexican superstar.

    ReplyDelete
  18. At this point it would take real media reports of Orton's death and a three hour Raw special dedicated to the memory of Randy Orton with tearful tributes from the McMahons for me to even ENTERTAIN THE POSSIBILITY of him not cashing in at Summerslam.

    ReplyDelete
  19. http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/291110/Idea-Pitched-For-Stone-Cold%5C%5Cs-Potential-Return-At-Wrestlemania-30.htm

    is this believable? interesting...

    ReplyDelete
  20. Please no. There's so much wrong with that storyline...

    ReplyDelete
  21. And then the rich start just growing whole slaves... and it's CURTAINS for us, folks.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He and Mizark had a little chat...

    ReplyDelete
  23. I'd rather see HHH/Rock one more time.

    Or a Rock/Austin/HHH 3-way!!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I don't know if it's believable or not, I could see Austin wanting one last match but his neck and knees may just be too shot. Having him wrestle Hunter at WM 30 though? WTF? You've got Punk, Cena, Bryan, Brock which would all be fresh, new matches but they'll go with a match we've seen multiple times?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I don't get all the Sin Cara hate.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Remember Multiplicity? I wouldn't mind cloning myself to do multiple jobs. Seems like a safe way to live.

    ReplyDelete
  27. he claims he's physically fine and could do a potential return if everything lined up right.

if he does this, i could still see a punk match happening in the future. he'd be fucking nuts to come back and try to be a heel though. but it'd kind of be awesome if he was able to pull it off. but then again punk was a great heel last year and still got cheered all the time. hmm

    ReplyDelete
  28. I don't hate him, but he's been a gigantic bust in the WWE and his style just doesn't work. It's too lucha.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Please copy/paste the article, but do not link to 411.

    thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Rock and Austin team up against HHH and Michaels. Money = printed.

    ReplyDelete
  31. - WWE is still hoping that Stone Cold Steve Austin will get medical clearance for a match at Wrestlemania 30.

If he is cleared and interested, an idea has been pitched. The idea is
that Stone Cold would fight Triple H at the PPV for control of the WWE.
    Austin would represent Vince McMahon.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Don't worry, I fixed it for you. Just for future reference. Thanks man.

    ReplyDelete
  33. reading again i guess that doesn't really indicate he'd be a heel. vince has been heeling it up in that storyline though.

    ReplyDelete
  34. "Hey, the biggest wrestling star of all time is coming back for one last match, let's book him in the worst possible scenario!"

    ReplyDelete
  35. I haven't bought a PPV in seven years — granted I haven't really watched the product on a weekly basis to warrant a PPV buy — but I'd pay money to see that.

  36. Scream09_HartKillerJuly 18, 2013 at 1:45 PM

It feels like Mysterio's been hurt for 2 years now. I don't think that's much of an exaggeration either the last time I remember him being around for any period of time was when he won the WWE Championship for an hour and lost to Del Rio the next week. And he might have been returning from injury prior to that for all I know.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Scream09_HartKillerJuly 18, 2013 at 1:46 PM

Brock/Austin's the way to go. Sadly, it might not be as unique as it could have been since it'd be badass motherfucker vs badass motherfucker only a year after badass motherfucker vs WWE's portrayal of a badass motherfucker.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Scream09_HartKillerJuly 18, 2013 at 1:49 PM

    Oh, you didn't know?
    Your ass better call somebody.

I wonder how many times that gets said during a booking meeting now.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Scream09_HartKillerJuly 18, 2013 at 1:51 PM

I don't care for him either. He's one of those guys who's ability I appreciate watching but I can't recall ever really wanting him to win the match - and I wanted to kill him when he lost the mask in WCW. Literally. There's only a handful of times when a wrestler's existence has made me angry to the point I fantasized about killing them but he was one of them. Having said that, talented guy though.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryJuly 18, 2013 at 1:52 PM

Is that now BofD policy? Does it apply to just 411, or all the newz stiez?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryJuly 18, 2013 at 1:59 PM

I wouldn't say I *hate* him, but I concur with the rest of you statement. Guy should have retired 5 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Until you realize you're setting yourself up for the horrible "Maximum Clonage" storyline...

    ReplyDelete
  43. Upvote for the entire exchange.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I'm all for this... even if it's 14 years too late... especially if they all decide... that's it. No more for any of them.

    ReplyDelete
  45. There is a joke about Zack Ryder doing "multiple jobs" in there somewhere but I can't find it...

    ReplyDelete
  46. Hate is a strong word but I agree that he's fulfilled his usefulness.

I liked him years ago, but got sick of him once he was put into main events. Why is little bouncy Rey Mysterio and his stupid 619, and his stupid mask, in a main event?

And even if little bouncy guys with dumb moves and masks are your thing, it's hard to argue that he's not past his best before date when he's been out with injury for seemingly years.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Apparently got his stem cells straight from Gene Snitsky so that knee should be up and running in no time.

    ReplyDelete
  50. At least TNA has enough money to create a new InterXinental belt.

    http://twitpic.com/d3cw10

    ReplyDelete
  51. Oh, you didn't....DOH!

    ReplyDelete
  52. pretty sure they won that out of a machine.

    ReplyDelete
  53. It wasn't his fault

    ReplyDelete
  54. that's just because they don't have many actual flyers to match him up with, and the few they do they don't even put him in matches with.

part of me wants to say bring back the cruiserweights here but wwe cruiserweight matches are too watered down to be excited about anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I probably should have chosen my words a little better... but I am surprised I am not getting more heat for this than I am...

    ReplyDelete
  56. It's not a policy, but 411 sucks and while I'm around, I'd rather we not link there. It's not like they don't steal news anyways, as long as we credit the original source, should be ok. Brian covers the majority of the stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  57. He gets injured just watching wrestling tapes for research

    ReplyDelete
  58. And if there's one thing they shouldn't change it was that belt. It's been very iconic for them

    ReplyDelete
  59. Uuuuuuuuugly

    ReplyDelete
  60. Why can't they have an older guy wrestle a younger guy and have the younger guy go over? Is it THAT hard?

    ReplyDelete
  61. It looks like they put a Mattel Intercontinental belt into a microwave for about 10 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  62. How do you pronounce that? I've always wondered..

    ReplyDelete
  63. He's basically been on a really limited schedule since SummerSlam 2011.

At this point, I'd like to see him heal up, maybe work the Rumble then do a final program leading into Mania where he hangs it up for good either putting over someone they have faith in (Generico?) or having a strong match against one of his old rivals like Jericho.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Change "belt" for "ring" and it's even worse.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'll pay anything to see the dual kip-up spot between Rock and Michaels and that crowd going crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Speaking of creative, what is with WWE glossing over the logical reason for a character's heel turn and focusing on the less-logical one? When Del Rio turned, he said it was because he got booed for taking advantage of Ziggler's concussion at Payback by the same fans who cheered Ziggler for taking advantage of his leg injury at the post-WM RAW. That makes sense. But whenever the announcers talk about Del Rio's turn now, they say it's because he thinks the WWE fans didn't respect him even though he gave them everything.
They did the same thing with Ryback; his logic for turning on Cena made sense (Cena was a fake friend who left him hanging when it mattered most), but the announcers sell it like they have no idea and Ryback is just being a crybaby.
Another Del Rio note: I noticed at MITB they announced him at 239 pounds. When he first came to WWE, I remember they were saying he was like 275. Did he really lose a lot of weight, or did they just decide to stop selling him as a "big man"?

    ReplyDelete
  67. Just play it safe and do Rey vs. Jericho or RVD or one of the other vets who can hang with him so he can have a memorable 3-4 star range match on the way out. I'd say Punk or Bryan but they will presumably be busy in main event slots.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Good god. I'm sure one of Dixie's younger relatives put a lot of work into that, but you gotta learn to say "That's terrible"

    ReplyDelete
  69. Do you really think he weighed 275 pounds?

    ReplyDelete
  70. I wonder if Austin would really risk working with Brock. Not saying Brock is sloppy or anything, but Brock....is BROCK.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Still funny they've never had a match together. I understand their timelines dont really meet, a match in 1997 COULD have happened though

    ReplyDelete
  72. Shit, I dont even think Cena/Taker could main event over that match

    ReplyDelete
  73. I think Sabin-Bully will surprise some people. Sabin is one of the best at playing the fiery underdog cruiserweight babyface, and Team 3D had some good matches with the Guns.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Rey is still capable of awesome matches (see his last few matches before the latest string of injuries), but I agree. He's going to have a miserable rest of his life if he keeps trying to work on those knees.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Thanks for the pic.

I quite like it, only cos i'm a sucker for gold/blue together (I loved the old SD! tag titles). I'm also a mark for gold and silver together, so I guess I like TNA's main titles quite a lot.

Can definitely see how it's just the old IC title with a blue X pushed in to the middle of it, though.

    ReplyDelete
  76. The Sin Cara ship has sailed. They really don't care about him anymore. The guy barely gets an entrance, and that's even when he's booked.

I really think they've given up on him. He had enough chances, in fairness. Some guys just aren't cut out for WWE, as much as they wanted him to be.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Powned I always pronounced it as.

    ReplyDelete
  78. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u111/dele3344/Misawa1.gif

    ReplyDelete
  79. Hogan isn't wrestling...

    ReplyDelete
  80. i said they should have done the Sin Cara/Rey tag team...

Work some wins until Rey gets jealous Sin is there to take the spot and viciously attacks him so long that it gets uncomfortable (cuz a quick beat up would really be a face turn).

Build some sympy heat for Sin Cara. Have Rey work sparingly on ppv only while he cuts promos on tv (SMACKDOWN so they can be post produced live via sat)

Semi blow off at RR where they eliminate each other.
    Blow off at WM30.

Sin Cara is the new Rey Mysterio.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Greg Marasciulo (Trent Baretta) is going to be on TNA Destination X tonight! That makes me super super happy, it was criminal how little WWE used him.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Homicide is also going to appear`

    ReplyDelete
  83. Sabin's great in the ring, just look back at his other singles matches throughout his TNA career, especially his match with Joe years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  84. How much does that guy weigh?

    ReplyDelete
  85. That Joe match is actually the one that popped in my mind. It was a masterpiece of babyface storytelling, rallying the crowd behind him in a match everyone knew he had no chance of winning.

    ReplyDelete
  86. I wonder if Brother Love's release will change the outcome of some matches. Maybe Sabin will win now?

    ReplyDelete
  87. The ring change was a benefit. While the 6 sides was awesome, the wrestlers have always learned to wrestle in a 4 sided ring and changing to a 6 sides was a huge change to them.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Highly doubt that'd be the match that had an outcome change, Sabin isn't going to be the one to end Aces & 8's

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yea but the TNA long term guys who had been wrestling in 6 sides for years had adapted and it made them stand out more compared to the WWE guys.

    ReplyDelete
  90. No, but the Mafia could tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  91. The match quality was fine when they had the 6-sided ring, so I'm not sure what your point is.

    ReplyDelete
  92. I had a friend who legit believed that the Hollys weighed 400 pounds each, because "muscle weighs more than fat".

Nevermind the fact that neither Holly was the most muscular guy on the roster at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  93. I'm terrible at guessing heights and weights, so I don't trust my own judgment there. I just saw a replay of the ADR/Edge match from WrestleMania 27 and they announced Del Rio at 263.

    ReplyDelete
  94. I almost feel like that just by linking to 411, we might accidentally get some pop up ads even though none of us clicked on the link.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Multiple jobs?

You don't expect at least ONE of them to be a main eventer? Have some pride!

    ReplyDelete
  96. He told Mark Henry he was blacker than him and then went to Harlem to prove it.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Stem cells?

Rey is going to straight up kick someone's head off his knees are going to be that powerful.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Guys that came in from the outside to TNA and had short appearances with them did not work very well with the ring. They'd miss spots by a foot or so or not be lined up right.

It's like when American players go to play hockey in the Olympics with their oversized rinks giving them disadvantage.

    ReplyDelete
  99. It is whatever it has to be at the time.

Logically, Dolph is a heel for breaking up with AJ, without whom he wouldn't have had that Money in the Bank contract to cash in on Del Rio with.

    ReplyDelete
  100. 'A WRESTLING GUY PRESENT?!!!' ONE? JUST ONE?!!

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-mKryAceMI

    ReplyDelete
  101. Realy? Which guys? Kurt Angle? No. Desmond Wolfe? No. Actually, all of the ROH guys did pretty great as well, Joe, Styles, MCM, Daniels...are you talking about stiffs like Nash?

    ReplyDelete
  102. This guy gets it.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Yeah, Ziggler is the good guy even though he broke up with a girl because she cost him a wrestling match. In WWE land, she's just a crazy chick who can't handle getting dumped.

    ReplyDelete
  104. Technically, he won it without her, but she did help him defend it.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I love Rey, but I think it's time to go "special attraction" with him because his body has to be shot by now. The full-time schedule isn't necessary any more and his special appearances can keep the merch sales rolling. Dude has had an awesome career and deserves to ride the residuals into the sunset.

    ReplyDelete
  106. If true, that's garbage. Austin's first match in 9 years...against HHH again?

    ReplyDelete
  107. Quick poll: Worse regularly used move, Rey's 619, or Orton's Draping DDT?

    ReplyDelete
  108. How is the draping DDT a bad move?

    ReplyDelete
  109. One of the worst ideas ever. I'm assuming we will be supposed to boo Austin? And him putting HHH over is idiotic. He's a WAY bigger star than Trips

    ReplyDelete
  110. 619. I like Rey, but the way his opponent always convieniently falls across the ropes in just the right position hurts suspension of disbelief for me.
Draping DDT is awesome, it should be Orton's finisher.

    ReplyDelete
  111. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryJuly 18, 2013 at 10:54 PM

619 vs. any move and I say the 619.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Not taking the bait.

    ReplyDelete
  113. Austin: "WHAT? WHAT? is your idea? WHAT? is your plan? WHAT? is my motivation? WHAT? is your malfunction? WHAT?"

HHH: "It's for THIS BUSINESS, Steve."

Austin: "...Sorry, I can't translate stupid."

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'd actually think that Brock would be one of the absolute safest guys to work with - being that big and strong, there's probably less of a chance of Brock dropping Austin mid-move. And Brock's certainly more athletic than another power-houses like Show or Henry, meaning that he could probably create a more entertaining match with an older, more-injured opponent.

    ReplyDelete
  115. The opponent just happens to let his feet hook into the ropes when any other time he'd get dragged back into the ring.
