  2. Oh boy, your entry about A-Rod:

    >LeBron won his second NBA title

How would the best player in basketball cementing his legacy be not kind to the sports Gods?

    >was caught using a very insensitive racial slur on camera at a concert where I am sure thousands more were using it in an even more incendiary fashion.

    Hey, stereotyping!

    >handed to one Alexander Emmanuel Rodriguez.

Can you explain what spelling out A-Rod's full name accomplishes? Also, at least A-Rod didn't kill anybody.

    >and the inexplicably exonerated (until recently) Ryan Braun.

Ryan Braun was not "inexplicably exonerated". The test sample was incorrectly handled. It's a technicality, but his suspension was overturned for a reason and it was a good one.

    >should have felt completely exonerated yesterday, Selena Roberts and Jose Canseco would top the list.

Why would Selena Roberts be exonerated since A-Rod admitted her allegations were true.

Pete Rose came clean in 2004, not 2003. He came clean as they were announcing the inductions into the HOF which is why he received so much criticism.

You always capitalize media. It's media, lowecase 'm'. Tidbit is one word.

    > A-Rod’s continued failure in the clutch, especially in the glare of the New York Media?

    This isn't really true.

    >People will harp “What about Jeter?” What about him? He keeps his sexual conquests on the DL.

    This isn't true either.

    >A-Rod does not perform in the playoffs as a Yankee, while he enjoys MVP season after MVP season.

He helped lead the Yankees to a World Series.

    >He is so focused on his own legacy that he forgets that this is a TEAM GAME

    This isn't true either.

    >But ONE World Series title in the Pinstripes is unacceptable.

Don Mattingly won 0. Do you hate him?

  8. How so? The A-Rod sucks in the clutch argument has been endlessly debunked, even when put against Derek Jeter.

You said one World Series is unacceptable- Don Mattingly never played in a World Series and in only one postseason series. Let's burn him at the stake too.

And Jeter burns up the tabloids all the time. Hell, his owner publicly called him out on it!

  10. I do have to admit Pro Wrestling hasn't had this much positive energy and zeal behind it in quite awhile. I for one welcome the impressions of a guy who's spend most of his time here reviewing books about wrester's opinions on wrestling. Surely this gentleman knows what constitutes a great match.

Anyway, that day we learned her last name was Felche. It was awesome. She had no idea what it meant either. She wasn't too enthused when we explained it's origin.

I'm a much bigger whore. Much bigger.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 3:24 PM

You gotta understand though, man, a good portion of the people here at the BoD are the kind of folks who just make life suck. I write for other sites, and the people are always awesome. No one needlessly talks shit, no one is a prick for the sake of it. There's something about the wrestling community that tends to breed the most pathetic, immature people I've ever spoken with.

So, it can get real old when people just want to talk shit for the sake of it. I mean, honestly, why? What's the point of talking shit to a person who's never said or done anything to you? I simply can't understand that. If someone isn't trying to hurt anyone, or spew hate, why can't you just live and let live? People say "get a thicker skin". Why? How about people just not be pricks? I'll never understand being mean to someone when it's completely unprovoked.

Like, take for instance, why did you tell him he has a shitty blog? What's the point? Your entire post was completely negative, unprovoked, and useless. What drives you to act like that to a complete stranger who's never done anything to you?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Because it IS shitty. If he posts and plugs his work in a public forum, he is going to get criticism. That's how it works.

Should everyone just walk on eggshells and not say anything to him?

    ReplyDelete
  53. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 3:29 PM

It's simply your opinion that he's shitty. There are people who think I make terrible music, and then there are those who say it changed their lives. There are people who hate my writing, and those who say it's some of the funniest stuff they've ever read and can't wait for more.

It's not walking on eggshells to not say anything. It literally takes no effort at all to not read something, or to not click a link.

I just don't understand why people can't be nice. I think Big Bang Theory is the crappiest show in a good long while, with hack, racist & stereotype writing, yet if I saw Chuck Lorre walking down the street I wouldn't say a word, because why should he care, and why should I bother to be a dick?

    ReplyDelete
  54. So no one should be criticised if they post their writing in a public setting?

Don't click on it is not a defence for suckery. Chris sucks, he never makes any effort to improve, and frankly, it's watching him just fly off the handle like he does.

    >I just don't understand why people can't be nice.

    > I think Big Bang Theory is the crappiest show in a good long while, with hack, racist & stereotype writing

That's not nice Caliber. The writers, and the rest of the cast and crew of Big Bang Theory work hard to put on 22 minutes of TV for free each week.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Its all about attitude, my man. I was planning on not responding to his sad attempt at driving traffic to his blog. However, when he was faced with any criticism in this thread, what did he do? Did he take the high road? Nopers. He became personally insulting and cussed people out. Therefore, I decided to critique his shoddy writing, blog, and overall demeanor.

When was it acceptable/encouraged to become such a fucking ninny anyways? Boo how, I think his writing sucks. So what? Don't like criticism? Don't play amateur writer on the internet.

Equally annoying is your white knighting for him. While I like your writing mostly, and thus wouldn't criticize you that way, I think that your holier than though, been there done that, self righteous schtick is played out.

    ReplyDelete
  56. It wouldn't be much of a forum or community if everyone just stated positive opinions. I know negative stuff sucks at times, but is that all a person wants to hear? I know that you stress the point that if you're going to criticize, at least be helpful within your critique and that is 100% valid. At the same time, Cuch didn't give anyone a chance since he just asked people to go read his thoughts on another site. Scott is very good with plugs and I always feel those should go through him. You get the power to post on his site to add content, not to direct content elsewhere.

I also dispute your comment that "a good portion" of the people here make "life suck". That's far from the truth and you know it.

    ReplyDelete
  57. "That's not nice Caliber."

    Tongue in cheek?

    ReplyDelete
  58. If you can't discern the difference between randomly telling someone they suck while walking down the street, and being criticized in the DISCUSSION SECTION of a website, then I think you should probably just stop.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Caliber keeps talking about not being negative, yet every chance he gets, he has to let us know that he hates Big Bang Theory and thinks it's the worst thing on TV. Agreed with what Flair4dagold said.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Most forums or blogs that have a long time community rarely accepts new writers with open arms. You have to "pay your dues" like in the WWE, because ultimately, we all came here following Scott anways. CW earned it. He took much abuse, some warranted, some not. Cuuch flat out posting a link to his blog wasn't terrible, but his reaction was. Like CW does it is much better and less blatant. Put a blurb at the end of your post, no harm and no one will kill you for it. Tommy does it as well.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Are we not here to share and discuss our opinions?

    ReplyDelete
  62. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:11 PM

Yeah, I didn't think Cuch should have just posted his link either, but I don't think it's that big of a deal.

And no, I don't think people need to be positive all the time, but if you're going to criticize, do it so it's helpful. Just being a prick is about as worthless as a person can be. People like yourself, John Petuka, Kenny Chill, and a few others were always helpful with me and told me what I should work on, in a nice, constructive manner. Why is it they're like that while others aren't? It's because they're smart. Only a moron acts like a prick, bringing absolutely nothing to the table.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:15 PM

No, they don't work hard. I wrote a fake script in less than 5 minutes and literally had people calling their connections at CBS to confirm because it was so on point.

My point was about being negative directly at someone. I'm not effecting anyone here when I say I don't like BBT. I'm not going out of my way to be a prick towards someone. I don't go to BBT boards and talk shit. I don't like it, so I don't watch it. You don't like Chris's stuff, yet you're in every thread of his.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I usually agree with you, but cant on this one man. I have nothing against this dude but seeing his over the top responses on normal criticism just opens himself up for riducle. Im not saying it's right or fair but if he has a blog he should be able to take criticism in stride.

Theres a google chrom plug in that scans blogs and message boards for negative words like "hate, ugly, dick, suck, etc" and replaces them with "love, unicorns, puppies, pretty, etc." No lie. Seems like an appropriate thread to mention it

    ReplyDelete
  65. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:20 PM

I'm not WKing for him. I simply want to know why people feel the need to be a prick. That's all I want to know.

I hate that whole "don't like criticism? Don't write!" bullshit. Because what most people do isn't criticism, it's simply talking shit, and being an asshole simply for the sake of it.

If people want to write, they should be able to handle when someone says "You need to work on suchandsuch, and also blahblah might work out better if you". But no one should have to deal with "you fucking suck this sucks". That's not criticism.

    ReplyDelete
  66. This is no different than his original behavior, where he kept E-mailing Scott *continually* every time he wrote a new post. If people like your stuff, they'll eventually come read your stuff.

    ReplyDelete

  68. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:24 PM

But you gotta understand, he's been getting A LOT of shit, for a long time. Some people just can't take it after a while.

Me? Yeah, no problem. I've taken more shit than anyone and won'em all over. But most people aren't like me. And I feel bad for people who may not have the greatest social skills, and merely want to be creative, and get attacked like crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  69. oh man, you haven't been here long.

    this place gets nasty.

    ReplyDelete
  70. I haven't been here long so can't say I've ever noticed anoministy towards this dude before but haven't really paid attention though either.

Was basing my opinion solely on this thread.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Its been said multiple times by multiple people - he reacted like a bitch with a skinned knee before when people gave him actual criticism.

So, I skipped the itemized reasons that his writing sucks, because its all the same to him anyhow.

    ReplyDelete
  72. that's not entirely true.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Yea man, relatively new. Haven't seen anything like this thread before.

    ReplyDelete
  74. you haven't won them all over.

They just accepted you aren't going anywhere.

Because if that was the case, you would be at your blog instead of this one.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:39 PM

People have been ragging on him for a while, and I just don't think he wants to be polite about it. I mean, if you've never been in the situation, you don't know what it's like.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Again, he's shown to flip the fuck out when given actual, helpful criticism. Why waste the time when a simple "you suck" gets the same reaction as "you use too many commas, your thoughts wander and aren't coherent, and you're writing needs to be more interesting and attention grabbing."

    ReplyDelete
  77. Pfft... This is tame.

You missed the Caliber meltdown after he "swiped" an article from cracked.

    That was classic.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:42 PM

Not true, a good chunk of my detractors have all turned to the darkside. The only people who still talk shit are dougie & cap locks man, and well...

Even if everyone here went to my blog I'd still post here, because it's good exposure, there are some good people, and I owe Scott, so I like helping him out.

  79. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:44 PM

Does he? Because I never noticed that before. He use to talk to me on facebook, and seemed like he appreciated the constructive stuff. But if a person can't even handle that, then by all means they shouldn't be in this field...

    ReplyDelete

I will give you the chance to rephrase that.

  84. Scott used to get KILLED in the old days. Crazy e-mails, comments, the works. People called him a WWF hater and homer at the same time along with fat, useless, living in the basement; you name it. He ignored all of them. I can almost guarantee that if Cuuch posted his thoughts, it would've been fine. He posted an article about his favorite SS matches of all time, and iirc, it was well received.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I like both personas but must say CAPS MAN LOCK is a personal favorite

    ReplyDelete
  86. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:47 PM

It's a good read, but I didn't melt down. Also, anyone who thinks I stole the article is a complete moron, and I made it known in that thread. I was seriously baffled at how stupid people were. Countless cracked articles had been posted on BoD before, and I even asked Scott if I could post my article beforehand, and he said yeah, so I would have had to be pretty dumb to think no one would notice. Besides, the article idea isn't even that good, and mos def not worth chancing being caught stealing.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Yeah, that's a bit much. I'm pretty sure posting here gets more eyes on your writing than many places. It's a win-win. I like the QOTD feature.

    ReplyDelete
  88. I used quotes because I saw the cracked article. If you didn't swipe it, i'll eat shit. Because it was damn near verbatim.

I'm pretty sure you took a hiatus.

Even still I know you stopped posting articles for a while.

Oh I agree, it's all about ignoring the bullshit and moving forward. It's just some people can't. It really gets to some people, unfortunately.

Lee made solid points, and I see where he's coming from now, but at first I just thought people were picking on him and doing what people online tend to do.

    That shit looked swiped.

He got called out by either Maffew, or Scotsman and then all hell broke loose.

    ReplyDelete
  91. "Just because you can post, doesn't mean you should."

That comment didn't deserve the backlash Cuuch posted. It's not the best comment as fas as insight or critique, but there wasn't an actual article, you know? It was funny and you would've handled this a million times better rather than suck a dick, which prompted the barrage.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:54 PM

That banner at the top is mine. I created that. Scott got into ebooks because of me, and asked me how I did it. The QOTD feature is one of the most popular features on the BoD, and guarantees that people come here daily, every morning, and talk up a storm. I also handle his email access when his inbox get's too crowded.

I'm not saying any of that to be an uppity prick. I'm very proud of the fact I earn my keep around here, because Scott's the fucking man and let's me say whatever I want, and advertise whatever I want.

    ReplyDelete
  93. And I said again.

ANYBODY CAN DO WHAT YOU DO!

    It isn't rocket science.

I'm proud that you are proud, but lets be honest here. 25-30 minutes of your day, taken up?

  94. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 4:57 PM

I'd say it's a tie between here, and the Friday The 13th website I write for. I was also asked to join The Place To Be Nation the other day, and they get pretty good traffic too.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:00 PM

You asked how I help Scott, and I told you.

And no, not just anybody can do I what I do. I'm the second most popular writer here.

And if anyone could do what I do, how come no has done it before me?

    ReplyDelete
  96. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:03 PM

Honestly, I did not swipe it. If I were going to swipe a cracked idea, it would be the one about 'theories about films that make them better', because that was a good read.

I stopped posting articles in August of 2012 until November. I was like Jericho, just needed a break.

can I at least be Kelly Divine's herpes?

    ReplyDelete
  97. I'm not going to say whether or not someone else can do what you do, but if you disappeared tomorrow, Brian Bayless or Tommy can probably post a QOTD daily. Brian already does the news updates. You came up with the feature, and I love it, but let's be real, it can be done.

You're more committed, I'll give you that. Dan Selby did good work but retired after a couple of months. Daily commitment is hard.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:06 PM

But see, that's like saying "well I could run a coffee shop" after someone came up with the idea for Starbucks.

Also, Bayless or Tommy could do QOTD if all they did was post other people's questions, but usually, more often than not, the real popular threads are the questions that I come up with. And again, I'm not trying to come across as a dick here, nor am I downplaying Bayless or Tommy, because I respect the hell out of them.

Honestly, the first thing that came to my mind was Maddox. Because someone accused him of stealing a bit from Carlin, and his response was something like "Yeah, I stole a piece of material that millions of people heard, and thought no one would notice", and that's exactly how I felt.

I've been trying to figure out a way to create a BoDHoF/Greatest Hits, and that thread is a definite first entry.

  100. Oh, I don't think you're a dick at all, we're just chatting.

You're an aspiring writer, so you're committed to write something up daily. Add your flavor to it, if you will. The commitment part comes in because you guys do it for free. I applaud that.

However, I must reiterate, coming up with questions is not terribly difficult. I can probably come up with 5-10 questions on the spot, right now. Am I committed to ever doing that daily? Hell no, I have a job and don't have the time or will to do so. I'm not trying to say you don't do good work, you do, but it's not the same or as specialized as Scott's rant work for example or his mailbag answers. He has a certain degree of wrestling knowledge (historic and other) that is unique to a few folks.

What's unique to you? Your man movie reviews. Your view on the action and slasher genre. Daily questions? No.

    ReplyDelete
  101. You're the second most popular writer here?

What do you think New Jack?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cB8TfkdVUTw

Okay, heres the true litmus test.

Take QOTD and take it to your blog. exclusively.

    Nobody post it here.

Will you get the same hits? I don't think you will.

Like Flair said, Bayless or anyone could do what you do with the same results. The reason you can do it?

Its obvious, you have no real job.

Now onto the writer business. You're a shock jock. Let's be real. Your talent isn't on par with Murphy or Bayless or Warne, so you go for the hate. Controversy creates Hits and traffic.

I get it, but don't mistake your popularity for what it really is. You got shit on in the beginning, now you have the curious angle played out. "I wonder what Caliber's detractors will say about this topic... Oh i might as well add something as well"

Again, I'm not knocking the hustle, but lets call a spade a spade. You aren't revolutionizing the BoD (a term I created btw) with QoTD. Being his coffee boy isn't such a great job. Cuz if you are handling his email overload.... Essentially that's what you are.

    A PDA.

    ReplyDelete
  102. So you're saying he's the Dwight Schrute to Michael Scott.

  103. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:14 PM

Scott's wrestling knowledge blows my mind. I honestly don't think anyone on Earth knows more than him.

Honestly, coming up with questions is a bit of a task, I think. I mean, they have to be interesting, and something that people are going to want to answer, as well as read the answers of others. Especially here, where we've already covered so much. But if you come up with some cool questions, please do send'em in, because I'm always happy to have others do the work while I lap up the sweet, sweet credit.

    ReplyDelete
  104. He's been getting a lot of shit because he sucks.

If he can't handle criticism, most of it very valid, than why does he post his work in a public setting? And not only that, why does he continue to attempt to plug his work?

    ReplyDelete
  105. I sent you one already and it garnered over 200 comments and it wasn't even mine! I don't want to bog down that part of it. I'm already feeling the hate from some guys because I have to Mod, so the complete adoration I used to have is gone. ;-) We can't all be the Fuj.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Caliber, let's not ask like coming up with daily questions, when half of them the answer seems to be The Expendables (or Expendables 2) is some arduous task.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:19 PM

A shock jock? Fuj, I legit take offense to that, man. It's simply not true. People don't click on my links to see what people will say, they click because I'm a talented writer, and I've only gotten better.

Just look at the last few reviews I've posted, SummerSlam, and Bad Blood. Not a bad word to be found. People diggin the action and agreeing.

I don't go for the hate. I don't want the hate. People who post shocking things for the sake of it are hacks, and I'm far from a hack. You can say what you will about me, but it isn't true. I'm a talented guy who's creative, and busts his ass day in and day out.

I got nothing against Bayless, or Murphy, or anyone else. But they couldn't do what I do. They couldn't write The Man Movie Encyclopedia. They couldn't write the style of articles I write. They couldn't be as funny as I am. I'm popular here because I stand out, because I'm talented and I'm honest.

    I'm not a shock jock.

  109. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:21 PM

I assume because he's hoping he's getting better, and enjoys what he's doing. Perhaps he's hoping it'll just stop. It did for me. Of course, it took almost 2 years and me getting a lot better, but it did stop.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Because he invites on himself with his attitude and his shameless plugging. He seems so desperate for people to read his work and then gets upset if you dare say anything negative.

Look at the thread where he reviewed the Benoit book.

    >I hate that whole "don't like criticism? Don't write!" bullshit. Because what most people do isn't criticism, it's simply talking shit, and being an asshole simply for the sake of it.

If you don't like criticism than you should not post your writing in a public forum and shamelessly plug like he does. The real world isn't going to tolerate his writing, why should we?

Also, people HAVE given him his valid criticism and he just shrugs it off, has a dick response and doesn't listen. He's the prick.

    ReplyDelete
  111. And that's just what Jesse Baker had to say.

  112. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:24 PM

Neal, if it was that easy, I'd get more than 2-3 questions sent in in a weeks time. Also, I know you're making a joke, but you go ahead and find the last time a QoTD was answered by be with The Expendables. You'd probably have to go back to July.

    ReplyDelete
  113. I didn't like that either. Okay, the homophobia and the "I'm Italian so I like this guy cause he's Italian" bothered me more on ethical grounds. But view whoring...stop it.

    ReplyDelete
  114. you keep telling yourself that.

at the end of the day, i did like your book. i just wouldn't pay 4 bucks for it.

but i will still stand by that it was written in the vein of maddox, who i thought was revolutionary in 2002, when i was 21.

But you can see, at 32 reading some second-rate guy attempt the same thing.. its not as revolutionary. it comes off as being a hack... and a late as fuck hack.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:26 PM

I doubt it. But I mean, I read Ashley Blue's book, and she talked like everyone had it. So I assume Kelly got it too.

    ReplyDelete
  116. ...I got nothing, I dont watch much TV/movies...

    ReplyDelete
  117. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:30 PM

Maddox is an influence, yeah, and there's nothing wrong with having an influence. Every creative person draws from different inspirations. I'm not trying to be revolutionary, I just wanted to be funny and come up with something creative, which I achieved.

You say I'm a hack, but like a wise man once said "you keep telling yourself that"

    ReplyDelete
  118. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:31 PM

  119. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:33 PM

I agree. I'd much rather be Lord Infamous.

    ReplyDelete
  120. He's getting a lot of shit because he sucks. And if he can't take it, then he should improve, or ignore them, or stop writing.

    ReplyDelete
  121. No, I stopped posting shit because there's only some many ways to call you an anti-intellectual DOB-wannabe.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Caliber_Winfield_The_3rdAugust 24, 2013 at 5:36 PM

"only some many ways". Please take this as a constructive criticism, but you need an editor.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I've never told someone to go eat a dick or said they have nothing valid to say. He's a bitch

    ReplyDelete
  124. Edited: I don't need Ferrari for that.

    ReplyDelete
  125. We had this discussion last time Cucch got roasted. People have given him constructive criticism and he just says how you have nothing valid to say or reminds you that he's ITALIAN MAMMA MIA.

He's the one who acts like a prick.

    ReplyDelete
  126. There you go getting butt-hurt again.

I said comes off like a hack.

    Not CALIBER is a hack.

Again, I liked the book. I'm not gonna jump on your dick. You write good shit and you write bad shit. Same as everyone else. There's nothing special about you in my eyes. But that's me. You aint gonna win them all. I can fuck with you on something like underground Memphis and Man movies. I can't fuck with you on wrestling.

There's people who think you're a good writer. I'm sure I know the sub-set, but I'm not gonna start a poll.

There's people who think you are terrible. I'm sure I know the sub-set, but again...

    ReplyDelete
  127. Hey, he sometimes says something about how he doesn't like Shawn cause HBK's a faggot.

    ReplyDelete
  128. I didn't notice any homophobia. I do remember him saying the one thing we would all remember about Kanyon was that he was gay, which is not true.

His attempt to make his writing so dramatic grates on my nerves.

    ReplyDelete
  129. Caliber, your fake script story I'm sure makes you laugh to yourself, but it really doesn't prove anything. To say BBT writers, cast and crew don't work hard, because you don't like the show, is a pretty dumb thing to say, especially since you seem obsessed with letting everyone know that you don't like the show.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I'm in every thread he's in because he's a trainwreck. I'm a baseball fan so I'm curious to see what he says about the sport.

I've challenged him many times on things he's said, and he just turtles. What a bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  131. It was still lazy writing. Why write something that Cracked already did or even bother doing that style? Come up with your own thing. List-based stuff is old.

    ReplyDelete
  132. What a great popcorn thread.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Okay the last line made me laugh because I get what you're saying, but it reads to the effect of "you could have handled this a million times better, rather than having sucked a dick."

Like, some guy has a responsibility to his wife, children, career, and instead of troubleshooting a problem he found a penis and sucked on it.

    ReplyDelete
  134. "Sucked a dick" needed quotations. I see what I did there.

Do you think this conversation took place during the writing of the Magna Carta? Because I'd like to think that it did.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I think they had jokes that would go over the heads of anyone living in the 21st century, but afterwards they'd engage in Game Of Thrones-like sexual debauchery.

    ReplyDelete
  136. I remember him saying a lot of stuff about how Shawn stripping was embarrassing to watch as a kid, and how Bret was a real man.

    ReplyDelete
  137. DUDE, YOU ASKED THEM TO BE ON THEIR PODCAST! I SAW YOU WHORING YOURSELF OUT FOR PUBLICITY.

IT'S REALLY WHY I CAN'T STAND YOU FOR THE MOST PART. YOU JUST COME ACROSS AS THIS COMPLETE WHORE. THERE'S NO VALUE

    ReplyDelete
  138. I LOVE HOW CALIBER MADE THIS THREAD ABOUT HIMSELF AND HIS MASSIVE TWAT OF AN EGO

    ReplyDelete
  139. In his defence, HBK's stripping was awkward to watch as a kid.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Yea, I was gonna point that out

    ReplyDelete
  141. I don't have a big problem with male sexuality, but that's me.

I dunno, read his bashing of Shawn. It'd explain it better than I am.

    ReplyDelete
  142. FARVA, YOU'RE ALRIGHT

    ReplyDelete
  143. Oh, you and I are totally agreed there. I didn't like the first instance, didn't like the followups (even if I did like the occasional review).

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yeah, Scott's general patience and tolerance for the kind of stuff he receives is almost legendary. To be honest I think it's the combination of that (and being pretty funny when he's not dealing with burnout) that has led him to this semi-legendary status.

Out of the people that Scott started with or slightly before (Samuda, Kunze, Scaia, Scoops, 1wrestling, etc. etc.) I think he has outlasted all of them.

    ReplyDelete
  145. BTW on a positive note here among all of the bashing, I think Brian Bayless is awesome and hope that his shoot reviews continue forever!

    ReplyDelete
  146. I'll have to read it before I comment further. But at 11 years old, HBK always almost pulling his pants down was just...something.

    ReplyDelete
  147. 11 as opposed to now. Cuch is still holding a grudge over Shawn giving him funny feelings.

    ReplyDelete
  148. Same shit happens in comics forums, anime forums and elsewhere on the net, to be honest. The Greater Internet Fuckwad Theory at work. But I agree- the thoughtless negativity is stupid- if you hate the blog, just ignore it or something. It's not like you can't avoid it, like say, a popular new song that sucks dick.
