TNA Looking to Move TV Tapings off the Road and into a New Location?
Right now, TNA is strongly considering moving the tapings back to Orlando or even to Las Vegas. The old TNA Asylum in Nashville is also a possibility but it has been rumored that Dixie Carter was not a fan of that building. These changes are expected to take place in March of 2014 after TNA returns from England.

Former WWF Star Arrested for Selling Drugs
Mike Droese, who performed as Duke "The Dumpster" Droese in the WWF during the 1990's, was arrested after selling morphine to an undercover officer. Droese had been working as a special education teacher.

TNA TV: Well, looks like Plan F's in the garbage. What next, Dixie?
ReplyDeleteDroese: (sad face)
Briscoe: (scared shitless face)
ICP: (What the fuck? face)
Overall: (Cornette Face, but no company fucking.)
That's was Duke the Dumpster gets for stealing HHH's #30 spot in the rumble.
ReplyDeleteMarch 2014? They'll probably be dead by then.
ReplyDeleteWhat sucks is that the Stage at Universal is not an option anymore. Someone brought up a good point with signing 4 different venues in different parts of the country to do tapings like the Hammerstein Ballroom or the Asylum.
ReplyDeleteOscar the Grouch just lost a goon in Duke. His underground empire is beginning to crumble. His options are quickly running out. He is requesting a super secret meeting with Elmo. He needs to tread lightly.
ReplyDeleteRumors that Droese was selling drugs out of an alleyway trash can are unfounded.
ReplyDeleteJay Biscoe and his brother are money for anyone smart enough to do business with him. Hopefully Jay learned he has to be a bit more careful with his opinions in public forums. But from a promo/wrestling standpoint, they're incredible.
ReplyDeleteYeah, TNA really shot themselves in the foot when Universal realized that something else would be much more profitable.
ReplyDeleteWhen asked about that Dixie said, "AW-what?"
ReplyDeleteDidn't JBL beat the hell out of Droese when JBL found out Droese was making GHB to date rape women?
ReplyDeleteI went to see Glory By Honor 7 when I was at school in Philadelphia and the main event was The Briscoes & Austin Aries vs. Tyler Black, Jimmy Jacobs, & Delirious vs. Necro Butcher in a steel cage warfare match and I thought the Briscoes were going to be HUGE stars. They had the look, they could work, and "MAN UP" was a great, chantable catch phrase.
ReplyDeleteI've read in the sheets (in 94) that it was Tatanka (Chris Chavis) who was involved in that situation (and JBL wasn't a part of it). I could be wrong though.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, Big Steph wouldn't know what AWA is/was either. If you have time, go back to her testimony with Congress back in 07--she's clueless.
ReplyDeleteYeah Court Bauer mentioned that--running areas like seasons. He's really smart when it comes to marketing wrestling too (during his podcast he has supplied at least a dozen unique marketing ideas for TNA (and they were literally just off the top of his head). That company is going nowhere with Hogan and Bisch in charge right now.
ReplyDeleteDamn it, don't cloud my image of JBL as a homoerotic bully with something that would be a stand up act. (Not quite as stand up as turning him into the cops, but still)
ReplyDeleteMy memory of that story was that JBL stuck a plunger in his ass, so it sort of jibes.
ReplyDeletere: Necro Butcher....I'm a bad fan in a sense I don't really take the time to hunt out indy stuff or anything that out of the main stream, but jeez, he's the biggest disconnect between a name and what he actually looks like I've seen in a long time. Had to double take watching The Wrestler as it was first time I put a face to a name.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure they were both in the company at the same time.
ReplyDeleteI watched that YouTube video last night and I want to see what Mark does when he has to hand the belt to the new champion.
ReplyDeleteUm, there fake fights.
ReplyDeleteBischoff had the same idea for his 2001 WCW reboot.
Sorry, I just couldn't say no to the Flintstones Chewable Morphine he was selling.
ReplyDeleteNo it was the guy playing the network gimmick
ReplyDeleteYeah, and so is wrestling.
