He was in line for a couple of pushes and got himself injured at the worst possible times giving him a bad rep backstage. He also had a reputation for being an unsafe worker which he then went and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt when he almost seriously hurt Orton. He also had some political problems with Orton and Cena who are basically the two people (or 2 of 3 if you still count the Undertaker) you least want to piss off in the current WWE.

Mickie was involved with Kenny from the Spirit Squad. Then she upgraded to Cena. That lasted for awhile until Cena got bored and found someone new or tried to make things work with his wife or whatever. Supposedly (according to Kenny) this got Kenny blackballed for life out of wrestling and ruined his life.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall there being any remaining friction between Mickie and Cena or Mickie and anyone else in WWE but I could be wrong given that I didn't care all that much about what Ken Doane had to say. In fact when the article first popped up on this site, I thought he was a ref or a backstage guy and completely forgot he was even a wrestler.

ReplyDeleteThe Mickie deal is the clearest indication of a problem. There's no reason to cut her, she has the CD which lends some mainstream credibility.... she's also the best performer in the Women's division. TNA's not going to be around much longer in its current state.

ReplyDeleteHopefully at this point, he's pocketed a few bucks and doesn't need (want?) to wrestle again. I'd love to see him on the occasional Raw anniversary or as a surprise Rumble entrant (or, dare I dream, in a 30 man gimmick battle royal at Wrestlemania 30 with Attitude/mid 2000s stars), but as far as being a week to week character goes, as a fan, I'm fine without him at the moment. He could fit as the mid-card threat in HHH's regime (ala Shamrock in the Corporation), but I'm sure lots of other guys could work in that role too.

Then I saw her on a local sports show and she looked ragged. Then on tv she was back to hot. In TNA it's 50/50. I don't love the country look on her.

ReplyDeleteShe has a different sort of look. She's more squat/curvy than most stick-thin Divas, so she looks dumpy sometimes (her goofy wrestling outfits in WWE didn't help). She also has a VERY big mouth, which can look very unattractive in certain situations.
