Whenever I catch a backstage interview from an indy fed, the acoustics make it sound like it's coming from inside a gymnasium restroom. Actually, if there's a video of an interview with a guy BEHIND a stall door, that would be gold.
I loved that angle. I would love to see that reused, how mind blowing was it that a face and heel were friends and no turn ever came of it? We were all waiting for it, and the big twist was the fact that it just didn't happen. Luger slapping hands while Sting was looking and scoffing at the fans when he turned away might be the greatest character nuance ever.
Yeah I honestly think it's one of the best things WCW ever did. Not just in 91-92 but then again in 95-96 which in turn helped us believe what ends up happening around Fall Brawl 96...
More memorable than his ENTIRE WWF run.
ReplyDeleteJust going to leave this here.

Will Douglas and BuckDiddy come to troll the BoD today?
ReplyDeleteI DON'T KNOWWWWW!
Can Scott afford to pay them to come here?
ReplyDeleteA Luger post on The Blog Of Doom?
ReplyDeleteTake a shot.

ReplyDeleteDumb question- did the actual match ever happen?
ReplyDeleteI DON'T KNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW! (ducking)
ReplyDeleteI thought he showed a pretty good sense of humor there.
ReplyDeleteAnd honestly, a motivated Luger and Sting had the coolest tag team dynamic ever. I liked the combo of super baby face and quasi heel. Cool clip.
Still should have won the strap in '88. I wonder why Vince didn't try and scoop him up after he got screwed by Flair in his war with Dusty backstage.
