Have we talked about this one before? You think Gilbert "shooting" about how Brian Christopher is Lawler's son is where they're going to cut him off, but OH NO. It gets much, MUCH, worse.
'Stephanie McMahon has been selling off her stock in the company. When asked about this she said, "My father is getting old, and I don't want to own a piece of this company when his incompetent kid takes over."'
Hey I remember this guy, sorta. This was ok, I don't agree with the haters. That Sunny pic is disturbing, but was there ever any chance that it wouldn't be?
Brother I dig the enthusiasm, but does the world need another daily update post? I'm not telling you to stop, but maybe a format change or some definitive direction would help you out here.
What in the name of DOGAPEANDMAN is this?!?! Grut! You get a spot and let your greatest creation, DOGAPEANDMAN, languish uncalled? YOU ARE DOG! YOU ARE APE! YOU ARE MAN! YOUAREDOGAPEANDMAN!
For what it's worth, before he went all Glenn Close Fatal Attraction on Chris Hyatte, Grut was one of the better writers during the IWC heyday. I for one welcome his return......
"CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Samoa Joe were the biggest stars in ROH. Two of them are the biggest stars in the industry, and the other is a senior citizen's back-up."
I'm sure Joe sometimes goes down the "what coulda been" path in his mind, thinking back to 2005 and deciding to sign with TNA instead of WWE (I'm pretty sure I remember reading they both wanted him). Seeing the success Punk and Bryan are having would make me feel a bit like the boy who got left behind. Not to mention that Umaga got a pretty decent run in the upper mid-card, and that could've easily been him (assuming he'd be cool with the racism of it all).
Is it too late for him? He turns 35 next year. I'm assuming they'd want him to do a stint in developmental first, so he wouldn't make a real impact until he was like 36. Personally I don't really care, I was always a bigger Punk, Bryan, and Nigel fan but it would've been cool to see him get a shot on the biggest stage against his old rivals.
If by "It gets much, MUCH worse" you mean "It gets much, MUCH better", I wholeheartedly agree.
ReplyDeleteSomeone go find Doug and have him crash a RAW.
His RF Video shoot is fucking awesome by the way
ReplyDeleteYou thought so?
ReplyDeleteI have fallen asleep on it like 6 times.
The best part is that he looks like an absolute honest to god scum bag.
ReplyDeleteYes. Yes it was.
ReplyDeleteWhat would be the better epitaph to this article:
ReplyDeleteFaux Gorilla/Bobby, or Faux Statler/Waldorf?
Loved it. Really loved it!
ReplyDeleteLords of Pain has changed. Its gone from headlines generated by disgruntled wrestlers, to headlines based solely on wrestlers tweets
ReplyDeleteAll 3 of them?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the AJ part, probably because it is true... and that is exactly what would happen if he ever signed for WWE.

ReplyDeleteAlso did you refer to Benoit as Voldemort?
Looks like those clowns in Congress did it again. What a bunch of clowns.
ReplyDeleteBulldog Bob Brown was the first wrestler I remember as a kid watching Central States wrestling Sunday mornings. Quality choice in name there.
ReplyDeleteI've seen Drunk Texting, Drunk Dialing but this is the first I've seen Drunk Blog of Dooming.
ReplyDeleteUnless we count the ol' Drunk Murph posts during Raw open threads from a while back.
ReplyDeleteOsirus?
ReplyDeleteIts like Scott went back in time, found the shittiest columnist from 2008 and pulled him from the timestream All New X-Men style.
ReplyDeleteThe whole schtick reeked of 2008-2009.

ReplyDeleteGrut hasn't been sharing a basement with Hyatte in AGES.
ReplyDeleteThey had a major falling out right before Hyatte retired from writing and vanished into the mists...

And he's one of the ugliest wrestlers ever, allegedly.
ReplyDeleteOr is that Bulldog Bob Brower? I get my Bulldog Bobs mixed up sometimes.
If you transported me from four years ago, it looks like me a little (but fat white dudes often look alike).
