The duo is patterned after the Shawn Michaels/Diesel pairing of the early 1990's. Speaking of AJ, she suffered a concussion in her match against Brie Bella at Battleground when her head hit the turnbuckle. AJ reportedly had no recollection of the match at RAW yesterday and was sent home when she appeared in rough shape and was complaining of headaches. She was scheduled to face Kaitlyn at RAW.

ReplyDeleteIf AJ and Tamina Snuka - she's the daughter of legendary WWE Hall of Famer Jimmy "Superfly" snuka, you know - are patterned after HBK and Diesel, and given WWE's penchant to blow through storylines, we should expect a break-up and feud between the two sometime around Hell in a Cell.

as for the Pirates, I love them, but if they lose to the Cards... well, it's been a fucking amazing season for them, an awesome run, and I really hope we'll see the Jolly Roger raised in 2014 then. But at that point I'll throw my support behind Donnie Baseball and hope that he finally gets a long overdue ring, even as a manager rather than #23 in pinstripes.

ReplyDeleteI grew up watching Atlanta play (they were the closest major league team to Charlotte). I was weaned on Chipper, Javy Lopez, Fred McGriff, Dave Justice, Jeff Blauser, Maddux/Glavine/Smoltz/Avery/Neagle/Mercker/Millwood et. all. Yet I can't stand behind the Braves on this one, if it's true. Just smacks of low class, and they've been pulling stuff like this off and on all year it feels like.
ReplyDeleteMy father was a Red Sox fan, and I inherited a passion for them as a result. Nation League wise, I'm content to see either Los Angeles or Pittsburgh make it into the World Series. St. Louis needs to go die in the proverbial fire, though.
What's wrong with their faces :-( it looks like they saw the crowd reaction, knocked up a quick example on paint but the main designers thought that was what they wanted and started printing them.

ReplyDeleteYea, it usually takes 24-36 hours to verify a concussion. Symptoms are apparent initially so its one of those things where "yea, I know you have a concussion, but I cant verify it for 24 hours."

I think McCann should have been disciplined for blocking Carlos Gomez's path a few weeks back, but I don't blame him for doing it - you show up the other team after you hit a homer, you pay the price. Just the way it goes.
