ReplyDeleteHey Jobber -- Are you softening your stance on Alex Smith yet? (My apologies if you already have addressed this and I missed it) -- How Adrian Peterson is able to play today is beyond my comprehension (not a judgment at all; just an observation) -- I have three kids and whenever I hear about something like this I can't help but question how I would handle such a loss and I nearly shut down at just the thought -- I hope being surrounded by his teammates gives him some solace...
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to AP, however your post made me think of this.

Losing Julio Jones for the year was a blow to my fantasy team.
ReplyDeleteHouston looks like they are missing the playoffs and getting a new coach and quarterback in the off-season
ReplyDeleteFeel you there -- My team sucked enough as it was but losing Jones pretty much sealed my fate...
ReplyDeleteI have Nicks, Hilton, and James Jones going this week so it isn't that bad but Julio was a beast
ReplyDeleteI hope AP goew for like 276 yds and 3 tds
ReplyDeleteFunny shit -- I'd love to put you in your place but I have to go put safety helmets on my boys before they go outside to play in our fenced in yard...
ReplyDeleteI never got his (or anyone else's) hate of Smith. He's not a bad player at all, he just got fucked over by the Niners constant horrible management, starting with them making the #1 overall pick in the first place. I'm not saying he's in the same league as Rodgers, Brady, etc..., but I'd say he's better than Flacco, Shaub, Matt Ryan, and guys in that class.
ReplyDeleteAs for AP, if I were him I'd probably play too, if anything just to take my mind off the fact that some useless piece of shit waste of oxygen scumbag killed my kid for a few hours.
Better than Matt Ryan? No.
ReplyDeleteI guess I understood it -- I definitely didn't agree with it but I understood it -- Some of my friends that are also Niner fans couldn't stand him either -- I live near the Bay Area so we obviously got more coverage on him than he received nationally -- And I definitely agree with your opinion of him -- He was a scapegoat for a lot of the incompetence that surrounded him -- I have no love for the Chiefs but I wish him nothing but success...
ReplyDeleteCan't really argue with you there...
ReplyDeleteHe'll make it through the trial but won't last a year in prison...
ReplyDeleteRyan is really overrated, and lucked into having one of the best WR cores in the league. Now he's without them, if he still puts up good numbers then I'll retract my statement.
ReplyDeleteChicago being done for the week kinda makes for a boring Sunday for me. Go Browns, I guess
ReplyDeleteLooks like im going 2-0 on the one oclocks. Time to let it ride on NE and a Seattle/niners tease.
ReplyDeleteWho overbet on the Broncos making that game look like Alabama/D1-AA patsy?
ReplyDeleteFuck!
ReplyDeleteBad call by Belichick
ReplyDeleteFuck you Brady, how dare you not cover -1 at home coming off a loss. Shame on you
ReplyDeleteSo close to a 4-0 sunday. Ill take 3-1, time to bet the romocoaster
ReplyDeleteAlright pats, 70 seconds for a td
ReplyDeleteHoly fuck!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a drive. Unbelievable
ReplyDeleteAnd for the weekly Unbeaten/Winless watch:
ReplyDeleteNO: 30-27 loss against Patriots, in a tough one. Shit.
DEN: 35-19 winners over Jaguars, Peyton was almost human at times.
KC: 24-7 winners over Raiders, keeping pace with the Broncos.
NYG: 27-21 losers against Bears, 0-6.
TB: 31-20 losers against Eagles, 0-5
PIT: 19-6 winners over Jets... down to three of each now.
JAX: 35-19 losers against Broncos, 0-6
Just getting in. Looks like I missed a lot.
ReplyDeleteSee the Panthers picked up the W against the Vikes. St. Louis and the Bucs next up so maybe they can start an actual win streak. I'm not sure Ron Rivera ever experienced one of those.
ReplyDeleteJust flipped over to the baseball game and the Sox are being no-hit again.
ReplyDeleteYea. Its been ugly
ReplyDeleteTexans have greatly disappointed me the past few weeks
ReplyDelete3 run lead may as well be 30 with the way they are swinging the bats, or not swinging the bats
ReplyDeleteClay Bucholz is imploding so I guess I'm switching back to the football game
ReplyDeleteYea, I switched over awhile ago.
ReplyDeleteI also forgot the best story of the NFL day.
ReplyDeleteSchaub gets injured, fans CHEER as Yates comes on... Yates throws Pick-6 to "honor" Schaub. Oops?
