A+ Match of the Day

Scott talked about that epic Steiners/Harts match from 20 years ago so let's roll with one of the best tag team matches of the 1990s.

  1. My favorite tag match ever, even with the shitty finish.

  2. I loved this one. Loved the Steiners vs. Luger/Sting from Superbrawl 1991 a little more even though it was 15 minutes shorter.

  3. "Is that Pat Patterson???!? Holy mackerel did he get fat!"

    God I miss Gorilla.

  4. Is this the only WWF match where Scott used out the Screwdriver? Anyone know?

Also, props to Owen for taking it like a champ.

  5. Scott used it a few more times on local jobbers, but I think Owen was the only name guy who had the balls to take it.

  6. Holy crap, 20 years ago. I remember the match like it was yesterday. I know Scott Steiner went onto become a pretty successful singles wrestler, but watching his glory days as part of the Steiners, I just feel Scott could have achieved a lot more with his career.

  7. Usually I hate non-finishes, but I didn't mind it in this match as by the end of the match, it made all four guys equal and were on the same level as Bret. That's what I loved most about Bret, when he cared enough, he could make anyone look like a main event superstar.

  8. Scott Steiner in the early 90's was great. Shame he had to roid himself to the gills.

  9. This match is severely overrated!!!

  11. yea the Superbrawl 91 tag match is my all time favorite tag. This match is the balls though, a shame it was neglected to a video release and nothing else

  12. I've made this comment before on the blog, but as great as this match is, Gorilla and Stan really top it off with their commentary. They really call it like a legit sporting contest and get into the strategy involved.

  13. He walloped Justin Credible with it on a RAW one time. Credible didn't take it clean and it looked pretty rough.
