QOTD 68: Deja Vu All Over Again...

So does anyone else get serious Chris Benoit vibes from Wes Welker? Think about it:

1. Both hyper intense with chips on their shoulders.

2. Because they're relatively undersized and up against bigger / stronger / faster players.

3. Both take incredible amounts of punishment, and have a reputation for taking incredible punishment.

4. Started small (ECW / Miami) made the 'big' time (WCW / Patriots) before getting kind of screwed with and heading to the 'other' big time (WWE / Denver Broncos).

I'm not saying Wes Welker is going to go nuts and kill his family, but...

Do you think Wes Welker will go nuts and kill his family?

I'm kidding.

What seemingly separate subjects / people / movies / shows / wrestlers seem eerily familiar to you? Like how the lead singer of Puddle of Mudd looks like Edge, or how Henry Rollins and Lance Storm could be in a buddy cop movie.  Do you look at Miley Cyrus getting all nutso with a foam finger and think she's just doing a 'Britney Spears kissing Madonna" kinda shock-tactic thing, etc?

Comments

  1. FUCKING JACK SWAGGER LOOKS LIKE BIFF FROM BACK TO THE FUTURE.

DAMIEN SANDOW LOOKS JUST LIKE THE COLOGNE GUY FROM PARKS AND REC.

    ReplyDelete
  2. I'm as over the Benoit stuff as the next guy (I have no problem watching his matches, for instance) but this was not fucking funny. Just...wtf?

    ReplyDelete
  3. I've read this twice and still have no idea what is going on here...

    ReplyDelete
  4. Can we down vote a thread?

    ReplyDelete
  5. Miley is definitely looking for shock value. Just like Sheen was. Just like Situation from Jersey Shore is. These celebs are just as fake and just as smart as the best pro wrestling heels, and they're parlaying their act into millions of dollars. I'm more amazed that so many people fall for their acts and think they're presenting anything other than a persona.

    ReplyDelete
  6. And also a little bit like the Shoe Bomber. Or, minus the beard, Tamerlan Tsarnaev.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Miley (or her handlers) is brilliant. That whole gimmick made her the biggest star in the country.

    ReplyDelete
  8. I've said the same about the Kardashians. Think about it...they have ZERO talent and have turned themselves into a brand. Fucking genius

    ReplyDelete
  9. BTW I definitely think we are gonna see an NFL player pull a Benoit, and sooner than later. Its funny how everyone has an opinion on the incognito thing (myself included; fuck martin for running off to mommy) but hardly anyone mentions the same day that story broke it was announced that half the time tony Dorsett can't even remember his own name. The javon Belcher story could have gone full Benoit but soon enough the NFL is going to get something like that.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Yeah its crazy. At least miley has some vehicle she' s actually se3llling. The kardashians literally made it huge doing nothing

    ReplyDelete
  11. Did Benoit drop any passes that would have clinched a super bowl win?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sourh park predicted all of this 5 years ago with Miley Cyrus

    ReplyDelete
  13. So is welker that great or was he just a product of a system? He doesn't average a whole lot per catch and he choked hard in the 2nd giants Superbowl and against the ravens last year. All you hear is how much ne misses him but they would be 9-1 if not for losing two games on a bizaare penalty and a bizaare non call. Isn't he just derrick mason but white and with better qbs?

    ReplyDelete
  14. I give the Kardashian's credit for turning Kim's sex tape scandal into a multi-million dollar empire. That is an impressive feat

    ReplyDelete
  15. Welker is good, not great. The Pats plugged Troy Brown and Deion Branch into their system and they thrived too. Welker also disappers in the clutch.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Yea man. I can't hate on them. Theyve set themselves up for life by being good looking and dating famous people. Props to them I guess

    ReplyDelete
  17. Edge looks like the caucasian version of Mariano Rivera

    ReplyDelete
  18. Really? I am going to ignore the first question, which is really fucking sad (and probably slanderous)

As for the second question the obvious answers for me are Natalie Portman/Keira Knightley and Amy Adams/Isla Fisher... the last one is fucking eerie... just check out their imdb profile picture.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Why are you yelling?

Sandow also looks a lot like the guy that GSP "beat" last Saturday

    ReplyDelete
  20. Thank you. I thought that was in really poor taste. I can make a Benoit joke just fine... but this is saying that some dude might become a child murderer. Not cool.

    ReplyDelete
  21. So you blame Martin for being a wimp and not Incognito for being an asshole bully? I'm still waiting for more facts to find out what exactly happened.

The Belcher story disappeared pretty quickly considering how everything went down. Players don't drive to practice and blow themselves away in front of their coaches every day. Same with McNair and his story.

    ReplyDelete
  22. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryNovember 23, 2013 at 12:19 PM

Welker's not going to kill his family; he's too busy taking 40-minute showers.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Who knew that fucking Ray J could be a GOOD career move?

    ReplyDelete
  24. That's a good observation. There are people here that get on the WWE for making Benoit disappear but you never hear a thing about Javon Belcher either.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Your other reply to me just boggled my mind.

    ReplyDelete
  26. If no one objects I do want to say a little something about the first part of the question. In the United States we have created a culture about "manning up" or whatever name you want to use for it. Well there are effects to that mindset and sooner or later we as a society is going to have to deal with it. Whether it be pressuring athletes to play when they really shouldn't or keeping soldiers in combat when they really shouldn't be there. I'm not assigning blame to anyone cause they all could say no; however, we as a society can't just ignore people like Benoit because our hands are dirty also.

tl;dr: It's fair to wonder aloud about the long-term health of Wes Welker.

    ReplyDelete
  27. That's what Ray J said!

    Did I do that right?

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just had this discussion with someone. I'd lean towards product of the system. Manning and brady...how many guys ccan put up the numbers he does strictly from the slot? Bellichick found a GREAT use for his skill set, and he ran with it. I like Welker, ALOT, but I think Bellichick deserves a royalty from every one of his paychecks

    ReplyDelete
  29. Re: "Manning up".

I don't like the praise heaped on athletes when they play soon after a relative dies. (Brett Favre, Adrian Peterson). "Look at them. Going out there and doing their thing. They are so tough." Being an emotionless robot makes you tough? I respect the guys that stop to grieve and risk losing their spot just as much if not more.

Same with baseball players who stay and play ball when their wife is having their baby. You play 162 regular season games. You should be forgiven if you miss one to be there when your kid is born.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Fucking hate mobile disqus for making me write this twice:

The McNair thing is easily dismissed because its just a "crazy pussy" scenario. Pretty common homicide cause I would think.

The Belcher thing is more enraging to me. As soon as it happened the NFL quickly framed it as a gun control issue and the media played right along while our dumb fuck public ate it up with a spoon. Hey a football with a concussion history went to a team facility, called out the coaches and blew his head in front of them...blah blah blah gun control/2nd amendment blah blah blah. No one bothered to dig any deeper.

Also the dolphins thing is 100% on martin. Tons of info has come out. None of it makes martin look good. Plus he was a giant bust for a 2nd round pick possibly on his way out of the league.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don't think it's fair to pass judgement either way. It's their own personal choice how to grieve. I'd assume being with your teammates and getting emotional involved in a game, with them, helps the grieving process. Or at least provides a distraction

    ReplyDelete
  32. Its not anyone's place to judge how someone deals with grief.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Exactly. Not everyone wants to sit in a room and cry when something bad happens.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Athletes have a choice what to do in this situations, but not really. The main revelation coming out of the Miami Dolphin thing is how much it's all hurt the team. That's where everyone not named Martin has their focus. So when someone dies or is about to give birth the main thing going through peoples head is "how does this affect the team".

    ReplyDelete
  35. It's no one's place to judge, but I don't think someone should be lionized either. If you talk about Favre's grit and toughness for playing through his father's death, how can the man that wants to take time off feel safe doing so?

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm not sure what your point is. The Incognito thing is SUCH an outlier and absurd situation in itself that you can't lump that in to most other scenarios

    ReplyDelete
  37. My point is the environment doesn't allow for anyone to feel comfortable asking for time off. I have no problem for guys that want to play through, but if a guy needs to get away he's thought of first and foremost as hurting the team.

    ReplyDelete
  38. So farve can't play because it could potentially hurt someone's feeling in the future? I bet that 99/100 people would rather get back to work than play the woe is me card.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Yea, I don't disagree entirely. My counterpoint would be, you're getting paid millions of dollars, are a part of a close knit team, and I don't think anyone would have said shit to AP if he wanted to take a game off to grieve his sons death. Any situtation...military, CEO, salesman, dr., etc, is gonna exert pressure on them to come back.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm not saying he shouldn't or couldn't play. I'm saying what did shouldn't be lionized. I'm also saying that we should have respect for the way in which people grieve. Some play through and some want to take time off. I don't think there is a wrong answer.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I always thought celebrity news outfits like TMZ and Entertainment Tonight were "cute" for pretending to be real news we gave a fuck about.

If only I could clunk the heads together of all the vapid schmucks who paid attention to this garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Welker is fucked long term. Just like the rest of them.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Farve is not the problem. It's the announcers and reporters praising him for "being a man" and playing through grief, implying those who don't, aren't.

    ReplyDelete
  44. And that goes back to my initial point. There is all this pressure to perform and it has a cost. So when a situation like Benoit or Belcher happens when write them off as weak individuals, pretend they never existed and and continue on as a society as if we played no part in it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. That's a collective bargaining issue. The players have negotiated away any rights to having a guaranteed contract so they have zero leverage in any situation. Kyle Williams just got "fired" for tearing an acl. Football is a cut throat business.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Yup. Why do we care soooo much about Jennifer Aniston and whether she is pregnant or not?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Sorry, I just worked an 18 hour overnight ER shift and am sipping some brewskies...what was your original point?

    ReplyDelete
  48. That the qotd was a fair one to ask.

    ReplyDelete
  49. So you can't commend someone for not being pussy because it might hurt the feelings of someone later who doesn't get commended for being a pussy?

    ReplyDelete
  50. I'm saying a way a man deals with grief has nothing to do with his manhood. I've never heard about a scientific study confirming the correct way to deal with death. Once it's scientifically confirmed that choosing to stay home is pussy behavior then I'll commence to call men that do that a pussy.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Dude, most of it is sympathy praise. I don't think I've ever heard someone say "he's such a man" for playing after a death. An injury maybe, but that's a completely different discussiin. They also say things like "I wouldn't fault AP for not playing in this game" after his son died or "I don't know how he's out there". Your just hearing what you want to hear

    ReplyDelete
  52. So you can't praise someone for doing something extraordinary because people who wont or can't do it will feel bad? ?? Ladies and gentlemen, the united states of america in 2013!!!!!!! What a great place

    ReplyDelete
  53. Dig up the video of Favre playing after his father died.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I will when i get home. If it's John Madden tho, this whole conversation goes out the window bc he has some homoerotic thing with him. Let me counter with: watch the video if AP playing the game after his son died.

    ReplyDelete
  55. So then what difference should fans praising favre make to the next guy?

    ReplyDelete
  56. From what I understand, AP didn't even know his son. I could be wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Stranger in the AlpsNovember 23, 2013 at 1:04 PM

I don't fucking know. Next time you're at the grocery store check out, play the game of "Count the Magazine Covers with a Kardashian On It".

Celebrity news legit pisses me off. I mean, I let out a little growl of rage.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Part of it is Madden but he had plenty of accomplices.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gZV0WFKUt2k

    ReplyDelete
  59. He didn't until a few weeks before he died. Still doesn't change the arguement IMO

    ReplyDelete
  60. I worked as a grocery store cashier. People buy those magazines. God knows why.

    ReplyDelete
  61. When announcers, fans, and teammates are saying a guy is showing grit, heart, courage, toughness, etc for playing through death, it makes it that much harder for a guy to say he doesn't want to play. Yeah, a guy should be able to say he doesn't want to play if he doesn't want to, but that's not always how it works.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Stranger in the AlpsNovember 23, 2013 at 1:08 PM

I have a younger brother in the reserves. I don't think this kid has cried or raged a day in his life. Our dad died when he was 1 year old. Now, he's 26 and we call him "The Terminator". Not because of his awesome ability to execute precision gun control, but because he IS an emotionless robot.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Stranger in the AlpsNovember 23, 2013 at 1:10 PM

Subliminal messages from George Clooney, the President of the United States.

    ReplyDelete
  64. This is a great point. I see their arguement...that the culture makes it tough for athletes to take time off, but then what? We can't praise anyone because the opposing sect will be pissed?

    ReplyDelete
  65. Maybe you guys can help me with this but I don't see what is extraordinary about what essentially adds up to going to work. I know how this society treats sports as some mythical, magical thing, but at the end of the day we are praising people for just punching the clock.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Because you're putting your personal grief aside for the greater good of your "brothers" on the team.

    ReplyDelete
  67. So again, you don't want someone praised for doing something extraordinary because people who won't do something extraordinary will feel bad that they didn't get the same praise?

    ReplyDelete
  68. I just don't see anything extraordinary about showing up to work. If they do something like throw 7 td passes then heep praise, but there is nothing special about pulling up in the parking lot.

    ReplyDelete
  69. If its just punching the clock than why shouldn't we expect everyone to do it no matter what. Sounds easy

    ReplyDelete
  70. Well favre played one of his best games ever after his dad died. And if all it takes is just pulling in the parking lot and punching the clock why should-aanyone have any sympathy for someone who can't even be bothered to do that because they are too sad.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Because for some there are more important things. What gives employees and co-workers greater importance than family and friends? If your employer, employees, and/or co-workers are more important than so be it, but it's bs to force than train of thought on others.

    ReplyDelete
  72. I'm not saying there should be sympathy. I'm saying there should be respect both ways. I don't have a problem with Farve playing just like I wouldn't have one with a guy that chooses to sit. Where exactly did it get carved in stone that first priority is to coworkers and employees?

    ReplyDelete
  73. No one is being forced to do anything. Is not-going to work going to bring a dead relative back to life? Are you saying that if you don't shut down and cry for days you didn't love your family? So anyone that wants to work or move on didn't love their family as much as someone who needed the world to stop for them?

    ReplyDelete
  74. I'm saying that there isn't a right or wrong way to deal with. I'm also saying that we should respect the way each individual wants to deal with it. If you want to play then play, if you don't then don't. I don't see any reason to lionize or vilify anyone for the choice they make.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 23, 2013 at 1:35 PM

I really don't have an opinion one way or another on guys that play after a death in the family (it's not like not playing will bring the person back to life), but people who skip the birth of their child to play in a game seem like assholes to me. I mean, if it's the Super Bowl or game 7 of the World Series or something I guess I can understand, but just some regular season game? Don't be shocked when you get divorce papers.

    ReplyDelete
  76. Rollings? Seriously bro?

    ReplyDelete
  77. Lol. This cracked me up for some reason. A cross racial comparison is tough to pull off.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 23, 2013 at 1:39 PM

I wouldn't recognize any of the Kardashians if they were standing in this room right now. Probably couldn't pick Miley out of a lineup either.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 23, 2013 at 1:53 PM

Another thing is that Favre was one of those guys that the media will line up around the block to suck him off. See also: LeBron, Tiger, Peyton, Tebow, etc...

What I guess I'm trying to say is that if say... oh, I dunno, Joe Flacco had the best the game of his life the day after his old man died it would be forgotten within a week. We sure as shit wouldn't be talking about years later.

    ReplyDelete
  80. I don't get that. What difference does it make if your in the same room, building, city, state, or county when your kid is born? You could still be the greatest dad everand be elsewhere or be in the rroom and turn out to be a molester. I have no idea where my dad was when I was born. I've never got why this a big deal.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Welker isn't know as a chip on his shoulder guy at all. He's regarded as a cool guy with a good sense of humor. See his Rex Ryan foot interview from a few years back.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 23, 2013 at 2:11 PM

It's more about supporting the mother than anything to do with the baby. Childbirth is pretty rough. I figure if I knock a chick up the least I can do is be there for her while she's going through what will probably be the most painful experience of her life.

    ReplyDelete
  83. Yeah what the fuck was the Benoit - Welker comparison about?

    ReplyDelete
  84. It's hard to know because basically his whole career has been spent with elite quarterbacks. You got Tom Brady and Peyton Manning throwing to you and anyone can be a threat. He's talented no doubt but I gotta say he's been helped a lot by where he's been.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Martin has done himself no favors since this whole story broke. Especially when Incognito showed a text message he got from Martin and Martin was all buddy-buddy with him. Incognito seems like a prick but Martin has not helped himself at all.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 23, 2013 at 2:37 PM

Upvoted just for "Fucking hate mobile disqus".

    ReplyDelete
  87. Dennis Feinstein aka Rafi from The League. I see it.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Welker couldn't handle the pressure of killing his family. He'd drop the murder weapon.

    ReplyDelete
  89. don't.....want.....to.....laugh

    ReplyDelete
  90. Not sure how much sports radio you folks listen too but like, the number one thing people talk about when they mentioned Welker is that he played with a chip on his shoulder, a 'me against the world' mentality.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Showing the intestinal fortitude to pull it together and come through should be referred to as Bradying up.

    ReplyDelete
  92. This isn't clever, thought provoking, or funny. You could have asked the actual question without the ridiculous Welker/Benoit preamble. Maybe you should give up QOTD if this is the quality you have left in the tank.

    ReplyDelete
  93. They have a terrible reality show, that's how they got there. If it was a thinly drawn roman-a-clef sitcom about their stupid lives it'd be basically the same thing but they'd look like they're doing more.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Exactly. Just like Sheen went from being a B-level star on a derivative sitcom to having his catchphrase on everyone's facebook newsfeed. Winning! And you're a fool if you think that wasn't by design...

    ReplyDelete
  95. Tom Brady lol'd

    ReplyDelete
  96. I'm all for black humour but this crosses a line.

    ReplyDelete
  97. Welker seems much less high strung than Benoit to me.

    ReplyDelete
  98. You ever see Rollins and Storm's photos next to eachother? Mind blown.

    ReplyDelete
  99. My point was you got his name wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Yeah but the entire NFL isn't under 6 feet tall, has a thing about losing their hair, gets punished for going over the middle, and so on.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Amsterdam_Adam_CurryNovember 23, 2013 at 5:21 PM

Has a thing about losing their hair? What is that about?

    ReplyDelete
  102. I loved Troy Brown!

    ReplyDelete
  103. I like to picture the detectives at the McNair's scene using that term. "Looks like textbook crazy pussy to me, Chief."

    ReplyDelete
  104. I would say all guys that lose their hair have a thing about. I know from experience.

    ReplyDelete
  105. I'm over 28 hours with no sleep, deep 10 stoli on ice and took a bong rip. GIMME my Saturday thread bayless!!!

    ReplyDelete
  106. He did a lot of hair restoration commercials for New England Radio.

    ReplyDelete
  107. So being short and having a chip on your shoulder makes you a potential murderer?

    ReplyDelete
  108. Oh well then he is clearly a potential child killer.

    ReplyDelete
  109. This is by far the worst one he has done.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Jobber, let's talk sports...words can't express how much I LOVE Dallas and KC tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  111. I don't think it show sup until like 10pm est

    ReplyDelete
  112. Damn it. I have much to say. Well just thread jack this. Sorry Mr Meekin

    ReplyDelete
  113. Dude kc is way undervalued at 3.5 against SD. I love that one. I'm always scared of NFC east game that involve the giants or cowboys. I swear I bet everyone and lose.

    ReplyDelete
  114. I'm smoking hash oil out of this awesome vape pen and watching football.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Just look at the QBS the Gmen have beat in their win streak. It's basically been a barrage of 2nd and 3rd stringers.

Yea, KC laying 3.5 at home, coming off a loss is a gift from Santa

    ReplyDelete
  116. Lol. I'm a fan of all of that

    ReplyDelete
  117. No, Bradying up is throwing a hissy fit when things don't go your way and then being passive-aggressive about it when called on it.

    ReplyDelete
  118. My place actually has the jags getting 11.5 vs Houston. I kind of love that. Also fucking tampa bay going into Detroit and only getting 9? I could easily see detriot crush that shit team at home. Definitely playing those games and kc at least.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Yeah the giants have definitely feasted on bad teams but I'm not sure I trust Dallas. It would make a big difference to me if the g men were getting 3 or 3.5

    ReplyDelete
  120. You mean predicting if someone is going to be a murderer or not isn't your thing?

    ReplyDelete
  121. I'm not sure who you're saying you like in that Det game but I like Det...ALOT. They score so any points at home, and are essentially a different team under a dome. I went 2-3 last Sunday so.who fucking knows

    ReplyDelete
  122. That's smells like a 3 team teaser but those are the devil wrapped in A STD

    ReplyDelete
  123. Wait holy shit the giants are giving 3???? Wow I did not think that was the case

    ReplyDelete
  124. Yeah have thought Tampa would be way closer to 2 TD underdog. I love Detroit in that

    ReplyDelete
  125. Yea. If it was a pick I woyld be so gun Ho but Dallas getting a FG?? I'm not a Cowboys fan but love Rome tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  126. So I could tease Detroit to +3, jags to +17.5 and kc to -2.5 at about 1.5 to one odds. I think that's my first bet tomorrow right there

    ReplyDelete
  127. Just turned on fox mew for 2 minutes. ..jbls fat face was on...loses all credibility...can't stop laughing at him

    ReplyDelete
  128. Oh, now you're just teasing me

    ReplyDelete
  129. Hmmm...yeah I just saw the 3 and assumed it had be big d giving the points. Still those teams a!ways end up in these weird games.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I LOVE all of it but know I've been ass raped he 3 team teasers in the past. Just gun dhy of yhe 3 teamer.
    Good luck tho

    ReplyDelete
  131. Welker as Benoit? Not really, no. Come on, you're better than this. I hope

    ReplyDelete
  132. Did you see the one about cute animals?

    ReplyDelete
  133. That's obviously supposed too say kc at plus 2.5 too.

Yeah dude I like those bets so much I might even do a 3 way parlay too, get like 7 to 1 odds

    ReplyDelete
  134. So I just randomly saw my ex gf tonight...she's doing fucking model work now...anyone want to see a link...::bangs my head against the wall::

    ReplyDelete
  135. Libelous. Though either way, Meekin is dumb for this one

    ReplyDelete
  136. There have been some very bad ones... that one especially... but it isn't insinuating that a perfectly innocent man might kill his family.

    ReplyDelete
  137. Fuck, I always get those mixed up.

    ReplyDelete
  138. Man I wonder what level you are going to hit on the Murphy scale tonight...

    ReplyDelete
  139. I think the idea of will the NFL have a Benoit situation and how would the aftermath be different for the NFL and whether or not steroids and head trauma are the true cause could be an interesting discussion if framed differently. But this was a weird question when framed specifically to Wes welker

    ReplyDelete
  140. There is no Saturday thread yet and everyone else is threadjacking sooooooooo.......

You think Will Muschamp has been fired yet or will they wait til the morning?

    ReplyDelete
  141. I'm chilling at an 8 right now. I just poured myself a tequila on ice tho. Get ready baby!!!

    ReplyDelete
  142. They had two deaths in two weeks and then Aaron Hernandez got charged with murder. No one cared.

Also, Rae Carruth and Ray Lewis

    ReplyDelete
  143. Exactly. I wouldn't have had a problem with that conversation, but to single someone, anyone out and say they might do what Benoit did is just awful.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Man I was JUST talking about this...he's got one more year due to his contract and shit. He still sucks

    ReplyDelete
  145. Most balding guys with "fuck you money" would get hair restoration.

    ReplyDelete
  146. LSU wins BIG over Johnny Fucknuts and TAMU, Florida loses to a D1-AA school (LOLOLOLOLOLOL...), Oregon gets buttfucked by Arizona (WTF?), Duke is one win away from the ACC title game (WTF V2?), any other fun shit I missed?

Now if Auburn can beat Alabama next week...

    ReplyDelete
  147. You don't lose to GA Southern in the swamp and come back and coach. Even Zook wasn't that bad

    ReplyDelete
  148. Yeah... if you're gonna do that, use Tom Brady as the example.

(I am apparently in an EVIL mood tonight.)

  150. also Simpson, Orenthal James

    ReplyDelete
  151. Duke is going to get destroyed by Florida State. Well if FSU still has a qb then. This has been a strange season to say the least.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Man, the administration LOVE him tho for some reason. I dont really get it either tho

    ReplyDelete
  153. I think FSU could play their Punter at QB and still destroy Duke. And I'd watch.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Lol.. this is like the 5th time you've posted this to me

    ReplyDelete
  155. Well that's 100% true. Leonard little killed two people. Corery dillion threw a girl out a 2nd story window. Pacman fired off a machine gun in a titty bar. There's all kinds of awful shit these guys do, rae carruth and Hernandez being perfect examples. But IMO the difference would be if you could directly tie the murders to playing football. Hernandez, Dillon and carruth a d hundreds of other guys has bad reps way before they played football. Little or donate stallowrth were drunk driving when they killed someone. But Benoit was a supposedly normal guy before he did what he did. Imagine if something like that happened. I think the reaction would be different

    ReplyDelete
  156. I have no reason to believe Duke can win. This season has been so strange that I wouldn't rule it out.

    ReplyDelete
  157. Benoit was absolutely not a normal guy

    ReplyDelete
  158. "The morale on this team is at an all-time low," guard Jon Halapio said. "We have a lack of leadership. We just really need to tighten up as a team."

Florida had been 15-0 against FCS teams since the divisions split in 1978.

"It's just hurt and shock," Gators linebacker Darrin Kitchens said. "Losing that type of game is embarrassing."

    ReplyDelete
  159. I don't t think it's that outrageous of a statement. Please elaborate if you would...

    ReplyDelete
  160. That's a game he could not lose under any circumstances. He's fucking gone

    ReplyDelete
  161. I'm with Farva, what has this guy done to garner this much confidence from the administration?!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Hahaha. I just made my girlfriend talk about the multi universe theory and string theory for 45 minutes with me. Yea I'm a dork...fuck you

    ReplyDelete

  164. Losing in the Swamp: Bad
Losing to a 7-4 team: Bad
Losing to a 1-AA team: REALLY Bad
Losing to a team you paid 550K to come be a scrimmage against: Um... Bad
Losing to a team with ZERO passing yards: ROFL Bad

    ReplyDelete
  165. I don't know but the administration LOVE him for some reason. Just watch...He'll be back

    ReplyDelete
  166. Depends on how much the alumni love him... one proper showing of said "love", and Muschamp'll be headed back to Coordinatorville.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Lol. That's funny, i can't even get mad at that. Fuck you parallax!!

    ReplyDelete
  168. If a white NFL player with concussion and steriod history but no criminal record killed himself and his family their would be a Benoit type uproar...or maybe not. But it would be a different story inthe media than if a gang affiliated dude with gun felonies and a violent history killed someone.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Well yea, but I'm sure they'd peel back the layers and find out he was fucked up like Benoit was

    ReplyDelete
  170. Rumor likely to be true:

Yankees going to sign Brian McCann to a 5 yr., $85M deal.

From a Braves fan: Thanks for the decent years, now Fuck Off.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Man, my post that you replied to was so full of typos...He could lose his next 3 games and still come back..that's a drunk officerfarva guarantee. Take it to the bank!!

    ReplyDelete
  172. Fuck McCann. Good riddance.

    ReplyDelete
  173. Being a Braves fan really must be what it is like to be bipolar... you get the highs of the regular season then the lows when they disappoint you in the post season. Seriously when I think about the 1990's I think about grunge music, the Clinton administration, and the Braves losing in the playoffs... a tradition they seem to be resurrecting.

    ReplyDelete
  174. Is she happy?

    :: Evil look ::

    ReplyDelete
  175. I know I'll miss Hudson a LOT more... McCann's just been so disappointing the last couple years.

    ReplyDelete
  176. Completely dumbfounded / annoyed. It makes me giggle

    ReplyDelete
  177. They were playing that fucking beard man at catcher anyway, weren't they? McCain ain't worth that money

    ReplyDelete
  178. I am sorry, while I fully appreciate the lifestyle and think they deserve equal rights I do not participate in it and therefore will not fuck you.

    ReplyDelete
  179. They won once. We're cool

    ReplyDelete
  180. Annoyed huh... tell her she can text me i she is sad and needs to talk. I'm here for you bro!

    ReplyDelete
  181. Should have at least 3. They were the best team 3-4 different years, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  182. Chris Walker will NOT hookup with my girlfriend, even if he was a WWF superstar.

    ReplyDelete
  183. It almost makes it worse to me... shows that they are capable of it but just can't get the job done most times.

    ReplyDelete
  184. Meekin...come talk to your buddies. I have some suggestions for QOTD.

    ReplyDelete
  185. Not at all. He'll just listen to her talk about her feelings and let her know that he, unlike some other unspecified people, understands her.

    ReplyDelete
  186. 1991: Despite the Hrbek/Gant incident, the Twins won that one legit. And Charlie Leibrandt enters the "Fucking Braves Relievers" Pantheon.
1992: Blue Jays won cleanly, Charlie Leibrandt and Jeff Reardon are members of the FBRP
    1995: YAY! BRAVES WIN!
1996: Up 2-0... this one hurt. Game 4 and Leyritz's HR were the real backbreakers... add Mark Wohlers to the FBRP. This is also the true beginning of my "Fuck the Yankees" attitude.
1999: Yankees Sweep, Fuck The Yankees in full effect. This season is more memorable for being one of two times I had any respect for the Mets, that NLCS was damn good.

    ReplyDelete
  187. I kinda feel bad for Bulls' fans, then I remember it's the NBA, therefore I'm not allowed to give a damn.

    ReplyDelete
  188. Trust me, it's not. Winning a title is hard. They won one. I am happy

    ReplyDelete
  189. He's so streaky. He went 0 for the playoffs. Fuck him

    ReplyDelete
  190. That NLCS ruled. I went to Game 4

    ReplyDelete
  191. Sorry, you put effort into this. I'm drunk tho and don't have the attention span. Upvote me for honesty fuckers!!!

    ReplyDelete
  192. They got 95... could have had 91 and 96. That's three to me...

    ReplyDelete
  193. Then endorse it? Isn't the point to hide that you're bald? If everyone knows, what's the point?

    ReplyDelete
  194. How about the fact that one of the people in the Apollo 13 film was named Jack Swagger?

    ReplyDelete
  195. Since I'm a little late in this, uh, Robe Lowe and John Stamos seem to look alike and Y2J seems to look like a combination of Jeremy Renner and Neil Patrick Harris. And Paul, I think it's best you don't start a post with a joke like that.
