WWF Cubed

A ton of work went into this, and the end result is amazing.  Hats off to the guy who created it.  And Abeyance is very well represented!

I anxiously await the Abeyance action figure.  That page is amazeballs, though!

  1. This is beyond meticulous. I love that the 1960s guys are in B&W. This damn thing has had me down a wikipedia rabbit hole for hours, looking up guys I've never/rarely heard of. Battman was a real thing?! WWWF was a lot closer to Memphis than I ever realized!

  2. This was mind boggling.

  3. Abeyance is number 44.

  4. I just saw that on Deadspin... so fucking awesome.

And yes, I want one of them.

  5. Where can I get one and how much is it?

    ReplyDelete
  6. Not sure those count - that was Abeyance's previous gimmick, "Vacant".

  7. Seriously impressive.

  8. I can't imagine the unbelievable hard work it took going through all that. I have that page on my bookmarks now! I especially like how he constantly changes the costumes of anyone who wins multiple titles in short periods of time! Good thing he didn't bother including the Hardcore Title in there too! I can't imagine him coming up with 20 different designs for guys like Crash Holly and Raven!

There's one glaring omission, though, where are the women? They did play a significant role in the mid-80's and had a title for them for much of that period so I'm surprised that got overlooked. Maybe he thought cube boobs would come off unattractive perhaps?

  9. I envy anyone that can do anything I can't... this eclipses that. I don't know how to even properly compliment it.

  10. I'm not typically impressed easily, but holy fuckballs.

    ReplyDelete
  11. You mean TOO attractive, right?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Wow, that is one of the awesomest things I have ever seen.

  13. That thing is adorable. So much work was put into that, nice job.

  14. he has an email he posted on that page to get onem and he said they are $60 US, because its fucking huge as well. Im probably going to get one to support a guy who took a couple years to make something so damn awesome! (no miz)

  15. There's a research paper on semiotics somewhere in here.

  16. ??? Barry O was on TNT, Best of the WWF Volumes (like 5, for instance), toured on house shows and his name would be on the Match Card inside the Program, etc. I've absolutely heard him cut a promo, not that he was any good. Kind of surprised to see him considered as a Rick Hunter, Mario Mancini, Jack Kruger, Don Driggers type..

  17. Awesome. Michael Hayes with the Hardys in the summer of '99 is a nice touch.

  18. Even though cabs has a pic of himself as an avatar, he still looks suspiciously like Epico or whatever he's called now.

  19. I think Twitter probably stole our thunder on a lot of these things because now if they want to see what the fans are saying about them they can just go through their tweets. But I'm sure curiosity has dragged at least a few people our way, and Scott is probably one of the critical opinions on wrestling that they want to seek out.

I wonder what TNA, ROH, and the indies have as far as people reading us.

  20. Oh and also I'm Raven.

  21. Wow. That's a lot of work, and a lot of time. To quote Ron Simmons, "Damn."

From the rumors out there no one has gotten jammed up more than Lita.

  27. Meh, I bet my first wife does more business than her in a weekend.

    Wow.
Say My friend has a bachelor party coming up. Do you think she'd mind...

  29. He did ("Go back to your pornstar wife, you fat piece of shit!") but I don't think Gertner was ever in WWE. If he was, it was a one shot deal.

  30. Was it micasa or something like that?

  31. Meh the first Mrs. Parallax wasn't much to look at... and was average at best in the sack I couldn't, as a good consumer, recommend her. Also I have no idea what happened to her after the last 10 years or so.

    Two months later and you guys STILL talk about me? *blushes* I'm touched, truly I am. I'm glad this was brought to my attention so I could correct you all;

Clearly, I'm Bret Hart. Self-important, and many times I've had people online come to me in a private moment, and with tears in their eyes tell me the QOTD is the greatest thing ever.

Yes, this is a one shot deal.

    ReplyDelete
  33. LOL. Come back! You're still clearly a draw, as you can see.

    ReplyDelete
  34. They can't afford internet access

  35. Such a one shot deal, you posted again in the TNA thread!
