  1. Text book example of a late 90's wcw ppv. Awesome card on paper for name value. Classic mid card matches, dog shit main events that make you regret watching the show in the first place.

  2. Say what you want about Vince re: work rate but he'd never hogan dog main events like wcw did.

  5. I don't think of all the senior citizens stinking up WCWs main events that enough blame is put on Piper. I love Piper's old stuff but WCW did nothing to make him stand out or even explain why he was in league with the top guys, you were just supposed to know about him because he had been a big deal in WWF in the 80s. Even the last few WWF runs had him painted as a retired ex wrestler who could only hang with semi-wrestlers like Lawler or in non-matches like against Goldust. So he really just seemed like a dinosaur in WCW, especially when they kept referencing his replaced hip. Hence why I only watched WCW's undercard.

  6. I don't remember what I gave Souled Out but there isn't much that trumps this show.

  7. Very true. Even when he debuted in 1996 it wasn't entirely clear. They just mentioned that Piper had given Hogan problems in the past and now Piper should get a match with him.

  8. Souled Out is better than this show with a good lucha multi-man match, Jericho/Mysterio, Raven/Benoit, Hart/Flair and NO HOGAN (except for a promo). Halloween Havoc might be depending on the day and who you ask, as DDP/Goldberg was probably the best PPV main event WCW ever did, once Hogan showed up there.

  9. Souled Out also had that awesome Rick Martel resurgence.
