I wouldn't say that. He won both rounds in their first fight, KO'ed Anderson and checked a leg kick that happened to result in a snapped leg in their second. Unfortunate? Sure. Would he have liked a second KO? Absolutely.
Still, at this point, other than diehard Anderson fanboys, no one can claim that Weidman isn't the answer to the question that was Anderson Silva.
I might now. My main problem was that she always finished in the first round. If I'm spending $60 I want at least a chance that it'll go more than 3 minutes. Her last two fights have at least been competitive and/or longer than 5 minutes.

UFC has gotta be pissed. Their two huge cards back to back. One ends in a robbery decision and the champ leaves, then their big fight ends in an injury.
People will be talking about the women and the leg break for a long time to come. The leg break is something that will live on longer than a normal bout in my opinion....

Wediman pretty much dominated the first round of that fight. I don't know if he was on the way to winning that fight, but he beat Sivla twice, and no one's done that.

Um...no. Tyson's decline began when Cus D'Amato died and he hooked up with Don King and had no discipline. Douglas was the first or second fight after that.
I'm a casual mma fan but saw every minute of both silva/weidman fights. The endings were both disappointing but I can't call them "fluke" wins. The first fight was pretty even until the clowning around part and weidman won round 1 tonight.
Both aernt ideal endings but dudes 2-0. It's like if you lost 2 football games on missed field goals...not the most decisive wins or losses but you can't really call the results "flukes"
Would a gimmick boot affect the way you work in terms of moving around the ring as such. I always wondered about that story, because I thought the main hook to a Bret/Shawn match before they really hated each other was seeing a ***** match and it seemed a gimmick boot would hinder that a bit.
Yeah it seems like it would be really weird for shawn to move around in. Maybe they do some spot outside of the ring where shawn gets thrown over the announcers table or something where he can switch a boot with out anyone seeing?
I rarely watch UFC but tonight I did and I'm kicking (no pun intended) myself for it because now that shit is laser etched into my brain. The worst part was when they showed the replay, Goldberg was all "brought to you by Buuuuuuud Light." I think showing the replay in and of itself was completely classless on UFC's part. Much less a phantom-cam replay.

Cena vs Punk doesn't sell a PPV. Punk vs Rock kinda sells a PPV. Rock vs Cena definitely sells a PPV.

The guy is a locker room cancer with a history bad knees. There's no almost no chance any serous organization will ever give him another shot.
Lesnar isn't a credible opponent though. In kayfabe, he's a white Mark Henry who has shown to be absolutely mediocre in terms of actually being able to win.
And outside of kayfabe, everyone knows Brock is the last guy on the roster that WWE would ever put over Taker.
My thought is that it's simply a case of Taker getting his win back, and in the process it'll be a terrible waste of a streak match. Match is gonna suck ( think the Lesnar-HHH shitshows) just so Taker could get a win he desperately doesn't need.

His only clean win was the first HHH one, and for his next two matches he had to cheat more than 1986 Ric Flair. Hell, he was fucking CRYING for mercy against HHH in that cage match.
Henry in summer/fall 2011 was booked infinitely stronger than Lesnar has in his return, so yeah I guess you're right: the comparison between them is night and day. Henry was booked like a threat. Brock is booked like a skinny chickenshit heel.
Henry was a beast against Orton; subsequent matches against Big Show and then eventually Bryan had him considerably less so. Obviously the injury had something to do with his career at that point but, aside from the one month program with Cena, he's done nothing of note. I still like him, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he's been booked like a threat.
And yeah, I reference the beating on the Outlaws, and should've referenced the beating of 3MB, because those things show that all it takes is one segment of Lesnar being a badass for the crowd to get back into him.
The booking against HHH was terrible, granted, but so is 90% of any HHH feud. The crowd still gets amped every time he comes out and I feel it will be no different when it comes time for Wrestlemania.
