Hulk Hogan Officially Returns To WWE, Hosting Wrestlemania XXX

Source

Straight from WWE.  I have no problem with Hogan being a part of the show and him acting as host to fire up the crowd is the best option for him.

Comments

  1. Shots every time Hogan says brother! Brother.. maybe means I'll enjoy mania this year?

    ReplyDelete
  2. Thrilled that he's back - fuck the haters!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Could be interesting. I hope he interacts with the Real Americans. BTW for anyone who hasn't heard it yet the Steve Austin podcast with Dutch is really good.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Best role for him. Bet your house on him saving Cena from a post-match attack though.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Way to bury Daniel Bryan by not making him host.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Why couldn't Bryan have introduced this? If they bury Bryan any harder, he'll end up in China.

    ReplyDelete
  7. By not making CM Punk the host, it proves it is a work.

    ReplyDelete
  8. The ECW PPVs weren't necessarily good, but they were almost always fun. I went to Heatwave 98 in Dayton with a non wrestling friend and he had a great time.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I thought Bischoff did.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I find myself agreeing with most of the winning choices. I... I'm scared...

    ReplyDelete
  11. Wow, all their commentary sucks. Sometimes I think that all wrestling sites are good because of Scott, then I remember...no, no they aren't.

    ReplyDelete
  12. If he came out as Hollywood and gave a 20 minute promo about how this is house Hollywood built, I'd be all for it.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Does this mean we're getting hogan vs cena at wm31 and 32.

    ReplyDelete
  14. *Hogan gets 10-minute standing ovation.*
Vince: "Daniel, your match just got 10 minutes shorter."
    NO!

    ReplyDelete
  15. Oh, and Danielle Matheson of Uproxx is one of the worst wrestling writers I've ever seen. Just completely incompetent and wrong about every aspect of wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  16. And does Cena lay down for the leg drop?

    ReplyDelete
  17. When Batista wins the title, Hogan will protest. Batista will call Hogan a yellow-belly and put the title on the line in the ring.. Right now.

    ReplyDelete
  18. And you KNOW that'll get a monster pop no matter what.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hogan hosting would probably be the best possible use for him if he can't work a match. If he could, its Cena vs Hogan obviously. However, having Hogan as host, should bring the same kind of buyrate jump (or ratings jump for WWE network) that The Rock hosting a few years ago did.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Vince is really, really forgiving. I'd of let him rot.

    ReplyDelete
  21. That Wrestlemania got slammed by critics, but still brought a very good buyrate.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Vince knows its a backstabbing business better than anyone. You can't hold grudges and be a successful wrasslin promoter.

    ReplyDelete
  23. That's an underrated ppv that only gets remembered for the robocop silliness.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Honestly you can't not be Vince McMahon and be a successful wrestling promoter.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Which doesn't make it any less terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hogan can't wrestle anymore

    ReplyDelete
  27. They jsut didn't want him to come out to host Wrestlemania in shorts.

    ReplyDelete
  28. MaffewOfBotchamaniaFebruary 21, 2014 at 2:57 PM

Once again, many thanks for the votes.

I don't think the majority of the RSPW crew were happy, but as wrestling fans they should learn to love not getting what they want.

Good people OSWReview sadly celebrated their second place win by having nearly all of their videos taken down from YouTube.

Here's to another year of Battletoads music and laughing tables then.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know in kayfabe, he did. But I read an interview the other day where HHH claimed it.

"WWE’s website has a new article up looking at the Elimination Chamber match. Triple H talked about how he created the match:

“I’m the one who invented it. I drew a square cage and put four other squares in the corners, and I said, ‘It’s six guys. Two start and every few minutes, another cage opens and one more guys enters the fight, and everyone fights until there’s one guy left.’ I thought it could be interesting because, if the Superstars involved have issues, then there’s intrigue.”

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm just saying its hard to call any wrestlemania that generated that kind of money a "debacle." Obviously the fans wanted to hear the Rock ramble on for 20 minutes.

    ReplyDelete
  31. The only problem I see with this is Hogan soaking in the crowd reactions for too long like he used to do on Smackdown.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Sure, but Hulk Hogan has used up all his worth in professional wrestling. I think the TNA debacle proves that.

    ReplyDelete
  33. They're right to use noted fashionista Hulk Hogan. Those boas are really... something.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Daniel Bryan vs. Kane on the pre-show it is.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Seriously, Daniel Bryan beat Cena clean. Who did this Hulk Hogan guy ever beat?

    ReplyDelete
  36. If it's anything like WM29, ALL of em.

    ReplyDelete
  37. He beat King Kong Bundy, who I think is King Kong Brody's cousin or something.

    ReplyDelete
  38. While I agree that Hogan doesn't have much worth anymore, I don't think TNA really proves it. You could have dropped Cena, Punk, Bryan and Orton in TNA and they'd still max out at a 1.1 rating and lose money hand over fist.

    ReplyDelete
  39. The story is on IMDB's news feed from Variety.com. That's the value Hogan in WWE has.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Because I'm incredibly slow and you happen to be here... I never understood the laughing tables, or the "pull a lever/JEEESSUSS" gags. I now find them funny just because, but never understood the origins.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Dig the shameless post whoring!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Nobody bought that show to see the Rock ramble. They thought he was going to do something.

    ReplyDelete
  43. YAY more part-timers to take up even more time! Between this and the 40 minutes worth of entrances, we're going to have like 8 matches that go 2 minutes each.

    ReplyDelete
  44. He got involved in the main event.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Is Hogan in SUCH bad physical shape that he can't even guest ref?

    ReplyDelete
  46. O...k. That means fuck all to me.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Screws in his back and his hips mean he couldn't get down safely to do a count, legit.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I wouldn't have.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Because after getting sick of him in TNA for free I now want to spend money watching him fill a slot not even the Rock could save :(

    ReplyDelete
  50. WWE doesn't have the mid card to carry a 4 hour show.

    ReplyDelete
  51. 30 Years of Hogan at Mania. I'm trying to envision Punk or Bryan at Wrestlemania SIXTY, but I cant wrap my head around it.

    ReplyDelete

    http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5yu4_hulk-hogan-vs-stan-hansen-4-13-90_news

    ReplyDelete
  53. fuuuuuuck. That stinks.

    ReplyDelete
  54. If Hogan is going to be involved in the show, then hosting is the best use of him for sure. Only fitting that he make an appearance at the 30th anniversary.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I think the most disturbing thing, especially given how I recall last year's awards, is how much more people are 'disappointed' with depushes and booking than the deaths of human beings. Granted, Paul Bearer 'won' this year, but beyond him, the deaths are scattered about the list. I was infinitely more saddened that Matt Borne died than Battleground ending in bullshit fashion.

Usually, deaths would dominate this list, but it seems to be dissipating more. I think in 2012, the death with the most votes was Brad Armstrong, and that was somewhere like 18th or 19th in the final tally.

    ReplyDelete
  56. And constantly bringing back part-timers is exactly why.

    ReplyDelete
  57. He's Peggy Bundy's brother.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I really think deaths should be in a totally separate category. Since they are simply not comparable to bad booking. like "Most disappointing Wrestling story", and "most disappointing real life wrestler story" or something.

    ReplyDelete
  59. True but then they'll just bury him in China and he'll wind up back here.

    It's called 50/50 booking.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Real Americans lose the opener (or pre-show?), Swagger berates Cesaro. Cesaro gives him the Big Swing, Hogan slams Dutch, and Cesaro poses with Hulk to open the show. Cesaro face turn, a "WM moment", and a fun way to open the show without a 20-minute Hogan promo.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hogan coming back is also their way to life older fans back and for them to get the network.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Did they advertise that he'd ramble for the first 20 minutes of the show? If so, then sure.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Wouldn't bother me either way, but in the 20+ year history of the awards (I've admittedly only been voting since 2002), it's weird to see how much wrestler deaths have become less worrisome to the average voter. Wouldn't at all surprise me to see some harebrained booking decision at WM30 beat Mae and Viscera's deaths at this time next year

    ReplyDelete
  64. This is the perfect use for him, and yeah he should be there. Besides, he's still bloated and slow from feeding off of the previous host, and by latching back onto Vince's scrotum he can molt, then rest safely until he's ready to start sucking again.

    ReplyDelete
  65. It's not, but one could argue that if they don't have the midcard to carry a four hour show, why do one? Not that anyone arguing that could change anything, but you get the point right?

    ReplyDelete
  66. Steve Austin, would have made the same amount of noise. Hell, if they had saved Batista for this role it would have been a bigger story when combined with the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer. In fact, the more I think about it, that's absolutely the way they should have gone with it.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I'm not sure on Austin. He's never been as mainstream as Austin. Batista.....maybe.

    ReplyDelete
  68. But Chinese wrestling is by far superior to lame American wrestling.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Prediction, Bryan's match gets moved to the preshow, he loses in an 18 second match at 31, he wins in a tag match with Kane at 32.

    ReplyDelete
  70. WrestleMania hasn't been about the wrestling since 26.

    ReplyDelete
  71. I know right

    ReplyDelete
  72. So mortal lock they have him interact with the Real Americans right?

    ReplyDelete
  73. I take it you've never read justin watry ?

    ReplyDelete
  74. Because having mid carders isn't a prerequisite for a four hour show.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I'm all for Hogan and any other nostaglia leading up to 'Mania. Bring 'em all back and make it a celebration instead of a lead-up to some Batista headlined-debacle.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It's a big part of it, also has to do with how they are trainign their talent as well. WWE won't allow any new stars develop. Look at what they've done to Ryback, Ziggler, Ryder, Barrett, Kofi, Henry, Miz. All those guys had big wins or main event appearances in the past couple years and could easily be stars instead WWE shat them right back down the bottom.

WWE's midcard roster right now is as loaded as it has been in years. Wyatts, Shield, Cody, Goldust, Big E, Cesaro, Christian, Del Rio, Axel, Ryback, Kofi, Ziggler, Henry, Barrett, Miz, Young, Titus, Swagger, Uso's, Rey, Truth, Sin Cara all could easily fill up the midcard and low card for the event.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Unfortunately that seems to be true these days.

    ReplyDelete
  78. The get shat back down again because they flop. The guys that don't, keep going and aren't even mid card anymore by the time Mania rolls around so it doesn't affect them.

The way WWE is set up is divided into to groups, one group is an important part of the show, and the other group is there to have matches to fill up the rest of the 3 hours.

Part timers have nothing to do with it.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Here's what I'd like to see: Roddy Piper shows up on RAW to invite Hogan to a special Piper's Pit at WrestleMania. Then, the next week, Edge shows up to invite Hogan to appear on The Cutting Edge. Later the same night, Christian invites Hogan on The Peep Show. This is followed the next week by Jericho inviting Hogan to appear on his show. The Miz offers to resurrect The Dirt Sheet with John Morrison. Basically bring everyone out of the woodwork (even Abraham Washington and - is it too much to hope? Brother Love). Then have Hogan agree to appear on all of them simultaneously. That would give a whole lot of lapsed guys a payday and would, of course, devolve into chaos.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Forgot Lawler's King's Court and HBK's Heartbreak Hotel. And Barber Shop.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Ziggler didn't flop. He was a month into his World title reign then he got a concussion then he was never given his spot back.Kofi had wins over Orton and they did nothing with it.Miz was a main eventer and drew good ratings, but after Extreme Rules when he lost the title, he was never seen from again in the main event picture.Ryback was turned heel stupidly. Would've been a huge success as a face. I really believe that.Henry was World champion and had a WWE title shot on PPV last year. Had a great match, but sent back down the pecking order.Barrett main evented a bunch of PPV's, now he stands on a podium and doesn't even get in the ring.

    ReplyDelete
  82. The more the merrier!

    ReplyDelete
  83. MaffewOfBotchamaniaFebruary 21, 2014 at 4:17 PM

Laughing table (with Japanese accent) amused me, I used them a few times then stopped and then got angry messages saying ''WHY DON'T THE TABLES LAUGH ANYMORE.'' So yeah.

The lever...right. CZW took down a Botchamania because of CZW footage, but they apologised and allowed me to re-upload it and continue using the footage. Conan O'Brien had a regular joke where he'd pull a lever and out-of-context Walker: Texas Ranger clips would play...so I thought I'd add a clip of him doing it before the video and add Zandig's vintage ''JEESSSSSUSSSSS'' sound-bite. It stuck.

If you're still a fan after reading all that, then God help you.

    ReplyDelete
  84. All those things have zero to do with part timers coming back for WrestleMania season.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Why didn't they wait to make this announcement on Raw to pop a crowd and generate a little buzz leading into the network?

    ReplyDelete
  86. He's terrible AND a complete asshole to boot. Deadly combination.

    ReplyDelete
  87. Adrian Adonis' Flower Shop. Paul Bearer's Funeral Parlor. Those two might be hard. I've also always wanted to see Kamala's Kabala.

    ReplyDelete
  88. Or on a throwaway taped show without even bothering to pop a live crowd?

    ReplyDelete
  89. About a year too late to attend Paul Bearer's funeral.

    ReplyDelete
  90. It generates more buzz and reaches more people online.

    ReplyDelete
  91. Wasn't 23 the one with Trump/McMahon?

My point is that WM isn't about great matches. That's for Raw or MiTB or SummerSlam or Extreme Rules (which usually has one awesome match a year). Mania sucking when it comes to the in-ring stuff doesn't...really bother me.

    ReplyDelete
  92. No, what's his deal?

Matheson is such a shill for shitty indy promotions, plus so incompetent in her criticism of TNA that I've started rooting for TNA over her.

    ReplyDelete
  93. They could all have spots on the Mania card and probably won't because of those part-timers. If WWE would've kept those guys in the main event picture then there would be no need to bring back the part-timers.

    ReplyDelete
  94. The Body Shop with Jesse Ventura...

    ReplyDelete
  95. Huge Rock fan but I bet Hogan is much better in this role....

    ReplyDelete
  96. Yep, no wonder I didn't get it! :)

And yep, will always be a fan for sure!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Skinner's Skin Shack
    Yokozuna's Yurt
    Big John Studd's Stable

    ReplyDelete
  98. Do you like 411 columnists that work a "heel gimmick" in their articles? If not I'd avoid Watry.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Yet No Way Out 2000 & 2002 sucked. 2003 too. I think.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Hogan screwed Hogan.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Speaking of fuck, I wonder if he can still at least do that.

    ReplyDelete
  102. Couldn't be any worse than Howard Finkel.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Uh...they use them because they're AWESOME???? I've seen one, maybe 2 ECs (from memory, correct if wrong) that weren't pretty awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  104. But who gives Hogan the black eye beforehand?

    ReplyDelete
  105. Unless you have Ted Turner's money and Eric Bischoff's moxie.

    ReplyDelete
  106. The danger is what makes it fun. It gives the result meaning, showing that these guys would go through THAT for the prize. Adds more prestige I think.

    ReplyDelete
  107. Please God.. let Real American play in the arena and have Zeb Coulter cut a promo against Hogan..

    ReplyDelete
  108. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryFebruary 21, 2014 at 5:06 PM

As long as he doesn't have his wrestling boots or being a central guy taking up tv time from others, this will be fine. No issue with him just doing what Rock once called, "WHATCHUGINNADO BLBLBLBLB LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING BROTHER BLBLBLB RACKLE RACKLE RACKLE RACKLE"

    ReplyDelete
  109. Hogan is underrated as a worker. He wasnt a technical guy but his matches in Japan shows he could work but he didnt need to in the states...

    ReplyDelete
  110. They need to get whatever promos Hogan has in him out of his system either on the run-up Raws, at the HOF inductions, or the pre-show. No need to have a 20 min opening rambling session about how Hulk made Wrestlemania, brother

    ReplyDelete
  111. I thought Chyna wasnt doing porn any longer....

    ReplyDelete
  112. He did do something....he rambled....

    ReplyDelete
  113. Imagine Cesaro giving Hogan the big swing, it would probably be the best WM moment ever...

    ReplyDelete
  114. Who else is there? Taz?

    ReplyDelete
  115. Does he say their sports teams suck? Or is it like an anti-smark thing? Does he kick people in the dick?

What sort of heel is he?

    ReplyDelete
  116. Wait a second......... So rspw likes Daniel Brown

    ReplyDelete
  117. I'm going out on a limb here and say that you might be somewhat influenced by Monty Python.

    ReplyDelete
  118. Why the fuck are people voting on what death is the most sad?

People should just vote on the booking.

    ReplyDelete
  119. I would pay all the money in the world to see Cesaro swing Hogan and watch his legs pop off.

    ReplyDelete
  120. The Million Dollar Mansion
    Sit Down with Droz
    Cesaro's Section.

    ReplyDelete
  121. The old smark troll gimmick. But presented as a "serious" 411 column.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Basically picture dougie at his most obnoxious with a column on 411

    ReplyDelete
  123. Virgil Vigil
The One Man Gang's One Man Show
    Lifting Weights With Chris Benoit
    Bret Hart's Chamber
In the Lounge with Vinnie Vegas

    ReplyDelete
  124. And then Lance Storm/Jimmy Korderas yell at us on Twitter to stay patient and call us idiots.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Okay. That'd be bad, but it's 411, I mean...what do you really expect?

    ReplyDelete
  126. He's probably healthy enough to do the Piper ref job from WM11 where all he did was shove a mic in a guy's face asking them if they want to quit.

    ReplyDelete
  127. I said it in another thread, and others have noted it below in this one, but this is such a great opportunity to turn Cesaro by having him make the save for Hogan from Zeb/Swagger. Do a bit of posing and you've got one hell of a segment (opening?) to the show.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Ventua's rant on Santana at WM 6 might be the greatest 4-minutes of racially insensitive commentary in the history of sports entertainment... and I say that jokingly. I don't support racial uproars about Santana beating Barbarian by feeding him Mexican food, and having diarrhea and getting STD's from a girl he met in Tijuana. Or whatever the fuck Ventura was talking about.

    ReplyDelete
  129. I imagine they'll use the Mania 27 template here - only he won't do a 15 minute promo like Rock. 3-5 minutes to come out, thank the fans, and get them pumped up for the first match will do just fine.

I'd imagine they'll have him in a few backstage segments afterwards before one final segment in front of the live crowd (helping Cena or Bryan?) to send them home happy.

    ReplyDelete
  130. I hear Bubba The Love Sponge has some footage if you wanna see for yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  131. You can bet Randy Orton will be at WrestleMania LX.

    ReplyDelete
  132. This year is the 29th anniversary, next year is the 30th ann.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I saw him live at TNA No Surrender in 2012 and he moved incredibly slow back then just trying to get to the ring. I could see him maybe being an outside enforcer ala Tyson at Mania 14 or a corner man for someone, but that's about it.

    ReplyDelete
  134. I'm going to guess this is the first time that WWE Shop and ShopTNA have the same shirt on sale.

    ReplyDelete
  135. In the event I get WWE Network, my plan is to watch everything chronologically.

    ReplyDelete
  136. That was Cell's voice as the laughing table, at one point, right?

    ReplyDelete
  137. Hate to be the "cool, hip, Indy wrestling fan", but its a shame that the results are more or less WWE or TNA, because Adam Cole was easily the best heel in thr business for 2013

    ReplyDelete
  138. Really hoping we don't get the fucking 2 cool 4 school smarks that boo Hogan or chant TNA at him and shit

    ReplyDelete
  139. The fact that Aces & Eights got completely shut out of any and all "Worst of" categories is a testament to how truly awful Dixie Carter and Khali are.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Also, I can't believe Ziggler didn't win anything. I'll be amazed if he doesn't completely run away with "Most Underrated" next year.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Trish Stratus in her prime.

    ReplyDelete
  142. I actually can't believe he beat out Sting, who's completely unwatchable at this point.

    ReplyDelete
  143. Iv still been waiting on someone to climb all the way to the top part that evens out over the ring and give an elbow drop or something from there

    ReplyDelete
  144. The two sweetest words in the English language: DE FAULT! DE FAULT!

    ReplyDelete
  145. CM Punk seemed rather uninspired to me as a performer before he took his ball and went home.

    ReplyDelete
  146. And I'm going to have to hunt down this Zayn/Cesaro 2/3 falls match if it's that good.

    ReplyDelete
  147. Jake's probably healthy enough to do a Snake Pit again.

    ReplyDelete
  148. He can't even physically execute the big boot anymore. He's severely, severely broken.

    ReplyDelete
  149. You can't exactly ask for backsies once you've paid for the PPV.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Just watched it today. It's 18 minutes of a 25 minute 5-star match.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Kick-ass show. That Flair/Luger cage match is solid

    ReplyDelete
  152. He hasn't won anything in a year. Why would this surprise you? *rimshot*

    ReplyDelete
  153. Sporadic use is the key here. Have him on Raw Monday and at mania and that's it. Anymore than that and the crowds will of give a shit.

    ReplyDelete
  154. Wm22 was the last one that was really about the wrestling. Eleven matches iirc. Also ironically the last one in an arena. 23 had trump McMahon. 24 had Mayweather. And so on.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Café Renee with Renee Dupree.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Well he was advertised as the host, and the main event was John Cena vs the Miz. I'm pretty sure people got exactly what they were expecting.

    ReplyDelete
  157. It would dislocate every joint on Hogan's body.

    ReplyDelete
  158. I legitimately threw up in my mouth. Terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  159. The Ghost of Faffner HallFebruary 21, 2014 at 8:34 PM

Might this have been the first-ever Vince and Jesse pairing? They were always one of my favorite tandems in the booth.

    ReplyDelete
  160. They need to use Hogan sparingly in the run-up to Wrestlemania. His returns always draw the nostalgia support, but it's big-time diminishing returns after that. It was true in 2002, it will definitely be true in 2014. Maybe a "hey, I'm gonna host Wrestlemania, brother" promo, then nothing until the actual ppv.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Absolutely. I would seriously limit it to one Raw promo to hype his hosting appearance, then nothing til the actual show.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I fully endorse this idea.

    ReplyDelete
  163. Nothing wrong with that

    ReplyDelete
  164. davidbonzaisaldanamontgomeryFebruary 21, 2014 at 8:40 PM

    .....Wow, that's oddly accurate.

    ReplyDelete
  165. Nah, snarking on how badly they handle "surprises" lately. Announced Batista on a taped, low rated, holiday Raw

    ReplyDelete
  166. WHADDAYA SAY?!?

    ReplyDelete
  167. Best promo? Best character? Her ring-work was popular and she was super hot, but she wasn't a talker.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Yeah, and that's not really a bad thing. Who cares if they have the ode to the casuals once a year? If they give me Cesaro vs. Sheamus, it's whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  169. They had done it a few other times on Championship Wrestling and were doing the annoucing on SNME already at this point but here, Vince really seemed to be setting Jesse up well.

    ReplyDelete
  170. I've seen jimmy korderas on aftermath and read some if his book... He had no right to call anyone an idiot

    ReplyDelete
  171. To save you some time:
Best of whatever goes to Daniel Bryan.
Worst of whatever goes to Great Khali (or something/someone from TNA).

  172. Wait a second......... People still post to rspw? Do they have to build a time machine to 1995 first?

  173. Wrestling nerds to weird shit sometimes. Look no further than the 1990 "Match of the Year."

  174. To be honest, I don't view anyone save Ryback in your first list as a star and I think Henry already is perceived as that by them. Maybe Kofi.

If Austin and other wrestlers themselves are saying "the talent roster is really thin in the locker room" I don't think I'm alone in that regard...

  176. Wrestlemania XXX being hosted by a wrestler with a sex tape, in the "Big Easy". It writes itself.

So WWE decides to book the worst show of the year in Buffalo. Thanks Vince, you fucking prick!

Anyway, I agree with most of these. I had a totally different mach for MOTY, and Corino should have won best announcer, but outside of those I think we all made the right calls.

It's not. ****ish, but there were much better matches in 2013. Still, seek it out, it is a damn fine wrestling match, I mean sports entertainment contest.

His deal is that he's the worst writer on Earth, so bad that I'd rather read the entire fucking self-serving arrogant collection of John Cheese works before I'd ever read one thing Watry wrote. He sucks so bad that Bleacher Report let him go. Think about that, my 8 year old niece could do a better article about wrestling that anyone on BR, and she doesn't even like wrestling. Granted, she's damn smart for an 8 year old, but still... Getting fired from BR is like being the nastiest crack whore on the block that even the most desperate guys won't even take a BJ from.

The Dougie comparison is especially appropriate when you consider their hatred of anyone that "legally" streams a PPV. Dougie at least only talks about it when the subject has been brought up already, and is totally entitled to his opinion, that's the sort of thing he's talking about when he says "anyone who disagrees with me is a troll". I mean, he's a troll just for the NPP thing, but I'm getting off track here... My point is that Watry mentions it in EVERY thing he writes. He acts like he's better than everyone else, and just like Cheese he also SUCKS as a writer. So fuck off, Justin. I'm not trained as a writer, I didn't go to college, I got my GED 3 days after I turned 17 and haven't seen a classroom since, and even when I was in school I was a math guy (still am). I've never claimed to be a writer, I'm a cook who posts reviews on ROH and shitty NES games on a couple websites. And I can say, without hesitation at all, that the worst thing I've ever written is 10 times better than everything that fucking hack has ever written combined.
