ECW Hardcore TV Ep#60 is weird sounding not having Joey Styleson there.
ReplyDeleteThe PBP guy (Jay Sculli think) says ECW about 25 times in the first minute of the show.
I have it somewhere on tape but I hope they show the Cactus & Mikey vs. Public Enemy match. That was fucking great
ReplyDeleteThe RAW flashback has King vs Jim Powers in 93
ReplyDeleteHolyshit did he gas up in WCW during the Monday Night Wars
I love early 90's ECW Too Cold Scorpio promos
ReplyDeleteThe 911 character could get over today. Great gimmick.
ReplyDeleteForgot that Bill DeMott was in ECW
ReplyDeletei love the "video vault" they do between shows,
ReplyDeleteAvoid the 10/20/84 Maple Leaf Garden show at all costs.
ReplyDeleteThat is a terrible show with an awful card.
The IC Title match is Greg Valentine vs. SD Jones for crying out loud
Caught that show yesterday. Thought the Andre vs. Kamala cage main event looked interesting. Then I watched it and could barley stay awake. Other than the Bulldogs throwing around a couple of jobbers, that card is a real snoozefest.
ReplyDeleteI think you meant
ReplyDeleteOMG watch the 10/20/84 Maple Leaf Garden show at all costs.
That is a terrific show with an awsome card.
The IC Title match is Greg Valentine vs. SD Jones for crying out loud
Powers was more jacked up in the late 80's when he teamed with Paul Roma than he was here. Must have been off the stuff in 93.
ReplyDeleteim not trying to be "The Fuj" but re-read what I said.
ReplyDeleteThe opener of Rene Goulet vs. Nick DeCarlo is what will keep the viewer hooked!
ReplyDeleteLove the World Class theme song
ReplyDeleteBadly worded on my part. Just meant he looked completely different here than in the late 80's or the late 90's.
ReplyDeleteHow big do you guys think David Von Erich would have gotten had he not passed away?
ReplyDeleteThe best was Hall & Nash pointing that out on commentary during Nitro
ReplyDeleteThey showed a great Piper's Pit in between programs a few minutes ago. Roddy, Orton, and Orndorff harassing Sal Bellomo until JYD made the save.
ReplyDeleteUnless he left Texas more, not much.
ReplyDeleteHe was the best worker, but Kevin and Kerry just looked like Greek Gods compared to David's fluffy body and the biz was going that way.
I wish they would put up all the Saturday Night's Main Events. I wanna watch Demolition vs The Brainbusters 2/3 falls tag team title match.
ReplyDeleteI thought he was fighting Marty Janetty
ReplyDeleteI think he would have been a solid midcard face in the 80's NWA but he was never a potential world champion or anything.
ReplyDeleteYea, all the SNMEs amd OVW are at the top of my wish list
ReplyDeleteI found out how to get OVW stuff from 1999-2003
ReplyDeleteCant wait till they put up some new World Class. Watched the 3 up right now this morning.
ReplyDeleteWatching the Worst characters Legends roundtable and Pat just buried Vince saying he came up with the Gooker
ReplyDeleteWe all know he did but to come on tv and say that Vince had a bad idea is funny to me.
Question: Who in the business do you think can openly bury Vince without fear of reprisal? (Im sure Linda could... but I mean performer, promoter etc)
Austin
ReplyDeleteUndertaker
ReplyDeleteDo tell, unless it's that taboo subject that's rhymes with "borrent"
ReplyDeleteAustin or Rock
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ioffer.com/i/ohio-valley-wrestling-seasons-sets-99-08-excellant-qy-503761948
ReplyDeleteAwesome sauce. Thanks
ReplyDeleteFrom all the WCCW i have watched.
ReplyDeleteThe Big 3 were Kevin Kerry and David.
David was the ring leader and the guy they push to the front. He was one that left the territory to goto St Louis and CWF from time to time.
David was gonna be something...... in the NWA.
He was gonna goto Japan where the Funks traveled and Abby traveled. He was gonna get over huge. But If he went North... DOA.
No problem.
ReplyDeleteI am going to try and trade with the seller.
Yeah Taker is definite.
ReplyDeleteThats a GREAT PURCHASE!
ReplyDeleteJR. He knows where the bodies are buried. Vince would make fun of him in retaliation but not much else
ReplyDeleteI think all the old guys could.
ReplyDeleteLike Arnold Skaaland, Wizard (RIP), Zacko (RIP?), Monsoon (RIP) could
What about Jerry Jarrett?
ReplyDeleteThats a good one.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely
ReplyDeleteI reviewed the 2001 Christmas Chaos a few weeks show but couldnt find any other stuff
I will trade or buy the stuff from 1999-2005
Sure you heard but there has been rumors of a JR book for awhile. Not sure how much he'd disclose but it would be a fascinating read if he really let loose
ReplyDeleteI was thinking more about people still in the biz and moreso with the company
ReplyDeleteTaker and maybe Cena
ReplyDeleteBruce Prichard just filmed a shoot with RF Video that is getting good reviews. He was right in the thick of things for a while
ReplyDeleteHe was booked to win the NWA title (allegedly) so that's pretty big.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even think of him. Prichard would be a GREAT shoot to watch
ReplyDeleteI never thought Bruce would get let go.
ReplyDeleteinner circle.... bareskin run and all
Vince did like the Von Erich's though, but I think it was mostly Kerry he was fond of.
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, David would have beaten the Goulet's and Sharpe's on the house show circuit before losing to Savage on SNME in four minutes on the way out
Yeah, I want to get that one.
ReplyDeleteRF has been mostly getting indy guys and scrubs lately but that is a good subject.
Foley really loves being on these Roundtables. He has a great memory and was such a fan that he can't hold back from jumping in.
ReplyDeleteThe network is gonna bring more of the renegades back into the fold.
ReplyDeleteI saw Honky as a talking head.
This is literally the first time they have Bruno, Backlund, Hogan, WARRIOR, Bret/Shawn, Austin/Rock and Cena/Batista under the same banner.
All of the lead babyfaces
I'm watching King of the Ring 94. and Art Donovan's (RIP) commentary is so awkward it's making me feel uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteThat guy is selling a ton of good stuff.
ReplyDeleteClick on his username
You get to talk about the sport you love with your peers.
ReplyDeleteYou get paid for that.
No bumps
And you get to bury whatever on Vince's TV.
That is a win
ReplyDeletei only buy what i cant acquire.
ReplyDeleteThat's my guy!!! DA RAZER!
ReplyDeleteSame here.
ReplyDeleteCant acquire OVW though, with the exception of a few shows.
Love the electroshock segment with George Steele.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.ioffer.com/i/cheapest-wrestling-nwa-saturday-night-season-sets-509001952
ReplyDeletewhoa.
Does Vince own the AWA footage?
ReplyDeleteHoping they film some new ones once they run through the catalog.
ReplyDeleteWE ARE WATCHING THE SAME THING!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, he has a massive collection
ReplyDeleteand thats cheap original programming.
ReplyDeletethink about all the following
confidential
live wire
axxcess
all those fluff shows they can air concurrently on Sat-Sun AM
I thought so. They did the AWA legacy DVD
ReplyDeleteOn the Network!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteyes
ReplyDeleteI grew up watching WCCW and I did not realize how many random masked guys they had.
ReplyDeleteYep, tons and tons of that stuff in their library. Reliving livewire would be pretty fun.
ReplyDeleteAs?
ReplyDeleteIs it bad I actually really like the "Chambers of Horrors" match as a kid.
ReplyDeleteON THE WWE NETWORK!!!
ReplyDeleteslices and dices!
Whats a better electrocution? Steele or Abdullah?
ReplyDeleteStyles wasn't even with the company for almost all of its Eastern run... I remember him doing a PPV match or two (as a heel, even), but Scully was the main guy until he left.
ReplyDeleteI posted this in an earlier thread but it was quite a few threads back so probably won't get read:
ReplyDeleteI'm in Australia, when I first downloaded the WWE app on ps3 I could stream video. Now for whatever reason, I always get stuck on a black screen with a loading symbol when I click on a video. I just tried watching the WWE network on my mac, and it works fine. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong and what I can check?
How much does he weigh?
ReplyDeletecrash the terminator
ReplyDeleteYou mean Art O'Donnell.
ReplyDeleteoh wow.
ReplyDeletelearn something new.
The one you're watching, is Scully doing a drunk gimmick? IIRC, that was the end of his run.
ReplyDeleteJohnny Ace will probably have a lot of dirt on Vince as well. I wouldn't mind watching a Youshoot by him since he doesn't seem to have any connection to WWE anymore.
ReplyDeleteJust watched Hogan/Flair from the December 91 MSG show and it was pretty damn good. The crowd was really hot and seemed to be pretty well split between Flair and Hogan fans. Hogan seemed intent on no selling just about all of Flair's offense until Perfect interfered. Slight spolier if you're going to watch the match, but I was shocked that Flair got his foot on the rope after getting leg dropped. We can add this match to the short list of matches where someone kicked out of the leg drop. I love these house shows since they're filled with mostly matches I've never seen before.
ReplyDeleteSullivan was a fan of his, for some reason
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Bruce Prichard.............
ReplyDeleteAnyone else still getting the Network, despite it being past the free trial time? The site still says my trial ends March 3, but it all still works. I'm hoping to at least get to see Main Event tonight before it goes away.
ReplyDeletei paid
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to look up the Chamber of Horror match now. Forgot all about that one.
ReplyDeleteDid you cancel it? If not, you will get billed
ReplyDeleteSometimes you just need to have a goofy gimmick match for some fun. Ain't nuttin' wrong with it.
ReplyDeleteIf you haven't seen NXT Arrival, its on the Network live now. Do not miss the Zayn vs. Cesaro match
ReplyDeleteSteele
ReplyDeleteAnd now it's my turn to learn something new, it seems.
ReplyDeleteI don't see Ace "burning any bridges", in all honesty. Unless Vince (no chance in hell), Steph (see Vince), or HHH (I don't know any rumors/heat between those two) told him "GET THE FUCK OUT, AND GO DIE.", he's gotta be thinking "They'll be calling me back any week now..."
ReplyDeleteAs a kid? Nope.
ReplyDeleteEven with the botches (the camera focusing on Jack fiddling with the switch after it fell into the "ON" position still gets a laugh out of me)... I have a soft spot for it.
By a lot.
ReplyDeleteFuck Dutch Mantell
ReplyDeleteRegal would be the perfect mouthpiece for Cesaro
Regal could make ANYONE seem legit as their manager.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, I would argue Santino and Ryder in that group.
Its on the Hogan Unreleased DVD. I remember watching that match live as I grew up in Jersey and had the MSG network. How the hell did they not go with Hogan/Flair at WM VIII anyway. Sure Savage/Flair was good but still....
ReplyDeleteThe funny bits from Santino with Regals facials?
ReplyDeleteBOOKIT
I loved the first world war 3 battle royal as a ten year old. 60 guys? 3 rings? Macho Man winning the belt. I was way into it.
ReplyDeleteWas there anything more fun then watching Brother Love get beat up? I mean he had it coming to him each and every time SO BADLY.
ReplyDeleteIt's cool...I still like the Blindfold match.
ReplyDeleteThis was on the website last year and it's a pretty fun watch.
ReplyDeleteThe Rock.
ReplyDeleteand in this case, wouldn't it mean he's locked in for 6 months to boot (or rather the equivalent - i recall reading somewhere that if you cancel before the 6 months are up, they charge the balance of your account)?
ReplyDeletekane and shane's grapefruits from a car battery
ReplyDelete*gorilla no sells him*
ReplyDeleteskaaland is RIP, too
ReplyDeletemikey's gonna die
ReplyDeleteOk, thanks. I didn't remember an AWA dvd and didn't see any footage on the network.
ReplyDeleteI thought that match and the main event were both great. I thought the Divas match was solid and the submission from Paige was pretty sweet.
ReplyDeleteIf you still have it, I think you are in it for 6 months.
ReplyDeleteLike others have said, if you didn't turn off auto-renew, you're ... renewed.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that's probably my only gripe about WWE Network (now that it's streaming well) is that there are no AWA stuff. While they only had one PPV (Super Clash III) there were some PPV quality events I'd like to see (Super Sunday, Super Clash I and II, WrestleRoack 86).
ReplyDeletei can not shed any light, but I have freezing issues on my ps3 as well
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately its not an occasional thing, its not working at all. I'm changing to ADSL 2 naked broadband maybe that will help
ReplyDeleteBecause Ric Flair today is far removed from the Flair that managed Evolution.
ReplyDelete"The role of 'Scotty 2 Hotty' will now be played by Baron Von Raschke."
ReplyDeleteThat's the Ascension?
ReplyDeleteI'll pass...
I thought the autorenewal was for AFTER the 6 month is over. That's what it read like to me.
ReplyDeleteI got an email letting me know that my free week was good until Saturday (I signed up Friday night) and that if I don't cancel then I will be charged.
I'm gonna go ahead and keep it. It's not everything I wanted, but well worth the $10 a month.
Me too.. I've been saying "How now Brown Cow" ever since I saw that back in the 80's.
ReplyDeleteSteph gotta spank on, but i'd still hit it.
ReplyDeleteI doubt Goldust vs. Rhodes will happen now since two other teams are about to break up and the Prime Time Players just broke up.
ReplyDeleteNothing kills me more than about halfway through the ppv when Savage and Gorilla just start ignoring him.
ReplyDeleteRIP
I never saw ECW's TV show when it was on, so I watched an episode yesterday from the Eastern Championship Wrestling days. Public Enemy had me cracking up when they assaulted Tod Gordon and then got all afraid that he was gonna call the cops on them. Those guys sucked in the ring, but their characters were great.
ReplyDeleteI canceled last Tuesday. It now isn't working on my phone or PC, so I think the trial (and me stressing about how they were going to screw me and still charge me) are over.
ReplyDeleteOh I canceled Tuesday, and told Paypal not to have recurring payments with them. There was no way I was going to purposely pay $60 for the Network (which is what it is; the $10 price tag is misleading).
ReplyDeleteWatching the Shawn vs Bret beyond the ring special, good stuff.
ReplyDeleteanyone else think that they need to set the default volume a little lower? if i'm at work using headphones, it's a suddenly jolt unless i remember to turn down my machine volume
ReplyDeleteIs it the one from the DVD?
ReplyDeleteGAB 1988 is up next for me after finishing Bunkhouse Stampede.
ReplyDeleteYeah the electric chair switch botch is awful. But the whole thing is kind of ridiculous, the ghouls popping out of the coffins. Vader poking El Gigante with a stick.
ReplyDeleteThere is a great spot where Sting throws one of the coffin doors up into the air and lands smack dab on Cactus' head.
I enjoyed the first one too. It was hard to follow but I enjoyed it. I also liked the first battlebowl 2 ring battle royal.
ReplyDeleteYeah it's the documentary portion from the DVD.
ReplyDeleteThey are terrible.
ReplyDeleteRemind me of 1990's WCWSN jobbers
It was a great character and worked because the WWE did not take themselves that seriously then. Now, they want all of the faces to act cool telling poop jokes. Much less forced back then and Brother Love was great stuff
ReplyDeleteHer dream has truly come true
ReplyDelete...is what you'd be saying if you were the kind of guy that watches WWE network at work... which you are not.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.cnn.com/2014/03/03/living/sleep-with-married-women-relate-elle/index.html?hpt=hp_bn11
ReplyDeleteLMAO... not sure if I should take this as an insult, a compliment, or just some advice.
ReplyDeletetake it as i happened to see it on cnn.com, thought of you, and figured here was as good a place as any to link you to it since it's kind of your gimmick
ReplyDeleteDo you trust Ric on a full-time schedule?
ReplyDeleteI trust Ric 5 times a month, (4 Raws and a PPV)
ReplyDeleteI love those network commercials with Steph talking about watching wrestling with her kids...
ReplyDelete"Mommy, why are men kissing grand dad's ass?"
Stupid Sexy Naked Broadband!
ReplyDelete
