  2. Just watched Starrcade 93 for the first time. Hard to believe that the first death from all the people in the post match celebration is the little boy.

Then again, if David Flair's pupils weren't darting around, I'd have thought he was dead right there...

  4. So, for anyone watching Game of Thrones: Is Vince Russo booking Jaime Lannister's character at this point? Dude turns face and heel more times than Big Show.

    ReplyDelete
  5. The show has deviated a LOT from the books in regards to his character. Even when he chucked Bran out the window (in the novel) George RRRRRRR Martin prefaced his "The things I do with love" comment with something like "with a look of revulsion"... I'm still annoyed by his Dr. Who wardrobe choices.

  6. WILL AJ BE SELLING THE WEEKS OF BANGING

    ReplyDelete
  7. "The list was compiled by Joey Styles, who is taking some heat for it by people who take stupid WWE lists way too fucking seriously."

    FTFY

    ReplyDelete
  8. I'm too lazy to read it, why did he take heat? ECW people on top or something?

    ReplyDelete
  9. Punk could learn something from AJ, when it comes to taking time off in a professional, non-bridge burning manner.

    ReplyDelete
  10. I dont think has burnt ny bridges. Wwe want him back!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Dusty was fucking around a bit on Twitter about it.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Please like Punk has anything that would cause her to have to sell. He isn't Colonel Parker

    ReplyDelete
  13. Punk is a baby and by most accounts, a huge politician in the locker room

    ReplyDelete
  14. LOL. Harvey Whippleman's wife has probably seen better.

    ReplyDelete
  15. You are seriously going to make me read the Scotty Riggs shoot to understand this joke aren't you self marketing whore?

    ReplyDelete
  16. I think "smart" fans made several assumptions about the way that Punk left that haven't really been verified by anyone officially.

If Punk wants to come back, WWE will welcome him back with arms wide open.

  18. The fact that you haven't read it yet is disappointing.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I barely know who he is... and it was really long. (That's what she said btw)

    ReplyDelete
  20. You just get me, you know that?

    ReplyDelete
  21. She was being REALLY nice to you.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Unrelated note, I did NOT cave and buy the 2 Final Fantasy games.. not thanks to you of course.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Meh as long as I get mine! AMIRITE?

    ReplyDelete
  24. You would like it. Half of it is how he banged chicks on the road.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Translation: "You are the official BoD man whore so it is right up your alley"

Fine I will use that as my method of not doing my job today

    ReplyDelete
  26. Hey, look, it's one really great game packaged with an OK game. I'm about 20 hours into it now. I think it would have been worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I can see Bret Hart reading it at home, scribbling furiously onto a notepad while cursing under his breath.

    ReplyDelete
  28. It's an entertaining shoot. Top ten of all time, IMO

    ReplyDelete
  29. Did you play them back in the day? How do the graphics compare when upgrading them to HD?

And honestly I am mostly concerned it will lose my interest before I get $40 worth of entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 10's a solid game, 10-2 is straight fanservice bullshit.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Joel Gertner was on the list, as was the Miz and Stephanie McMahon (well, that one was to be expected)

    ReplyDelete
  32. So, there's two schools of thought on Starrcade '86:
    1) Magnum beats Flair to win the world title, Nikita beats Garvin to retain the U.S. Title, Blanchard beats Rhodes and the Warriors beat the Midnight Express
    2) Magnum beats Nikita in a "I Quit" steel cage match to regain the U.S. Title while Flair beats Ron Garvin in a title vs. career match. Throw in the L.O.D. beating the Midnights in the Sky-Walkers match and Tully beating Dusty.

I tend to think option 2 was the way they were going. When Magnum was injured in early October, there had been nothing on television indicating they were going with Magnum vs. Flair. Had Magnum not been injured, I think he would have won the world title during the '87 Bash and dropped it to Flair at Starrcade '87.

  33. I played both extensivley back in the day... just feeling nostalgic for when FF games didn't suck, and can't go back pre X because reading everything is too tiresome... just not sure I will stick with them long enough to get my 40 back.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I did, actually. I've been playing mostly on the PS Vita because I can't find time to commit to sitting on my TV, but a lot of the graphics are as good or improved from the original. The cut scenes look phenomenal.

I've been having a lot of fun with it, totally worth it for me, as the game is easily keeping my interest. Although, I've put it aside for a bit to play some baseball.

  35. You mean

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really enjoyed the "My Sacrifice" videos back in the day... though I am so twisted I wanted to see an Owen one and when they got the the "Above all others I'll fly" portion of the lyrics show... well you know.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I read most of the 2 part shoot, but missed that part. Only question is, was she doing it behind harvey's back? or was he basically letting her/pimping her out?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Yeah... even *I* find it in poor taste and it was my idea.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Because HHH was ranked 19th. Was quite predictable this would happen tbf http://www.rspwfaq.net/2014/04/wwecoms-top-50-talkers.html#comment-1356562991

    ReplyDelete
  40. "I certainly can't change it by sitting on my couch in Chicago."

The funny thing... he might have done just that. At least on a small scale.

    ReplyDelete
  41. I have zero problems with Gertner being on the list.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Why did I read that as blitzball?

    ReplyDelete
  43. Mommy!!!! They're making fun of me. Tell them to stop! !!

    ReplyDelete
  44. Tune into Nitro to find out!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Too bad you are not on speaking terms with her. OOPS!!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I spend a good chunk of time just playing Blitzball on the game and delaying the rest of the story.

    ReplyDelete
  47. The funniest thing ever is gonna be when he returns as a part timer and everyone's gonna welcome him back amd make excuses about him leaving.

These are the same people that supported him for being "rebellious" and criticizing Rock and other part timers coming back and taking spots. I remember people saying "oh, he really cares about the business. He's sticking up for the full timers. BULLSHIT. He was pissed Rock took HIS spot.

It's gonna be so funny seeing the Punk apologists spin that one. I'm pretty sure I'll get banned when this happens

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've never played the FF games, but I have watch walkthroughs online and like what I've seen.

    ReplyDelete
  49. What's your theory?

    ReplyDelete
  50. Needs a closing quote.

    ReplyDelete
  51. I wouldn't say small scale. In a WWE where Punk was still around, Triple H would have beaten him at WM (because they weren't gonna put Punk over after he essentially told them he was leaving in June anyway), Bryan would be feuding with Kane or a heel turned Sheamus and Randy Orton would still be champion (because Batista taking time off after ER means they wouldn't give him the belt for a month).

His departure necessitated a complete reshuffle of the deck.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I don't know, I think the Pittsburgh crowd turning on the Rumble match was the turning point for the reshuffling. And Punk only quit the day after.

    ReplyDelete
  53. It strikes me as highly likely that this episode cemented Triple H's dislike for the guy, but even if you take into account the "precedent it would set" to take him back and all that, Triple H would play ball and bring him back.

    ReplyDelete
  54. This is the only wrestling forum I view, so I might be missing something else out there. I thought people just supported the idea that Punk has every right to walk out and that even though he's a prick, we enjoy his work as a pro wrestling character.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Crowd shitting on RR+punk walking out+no WM opponent for HHH=Bryan angle we got.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Like I once said, if the stars aligned and Punk/Austin was set for WM 30, but Austin said that because of the ranch and the podcast and the TV show(s) and auditions for roles and all that, he could only commit to Rumble/Chamber/WM and a handful of TV tapings, would Punk have turned that down because Austin would only be a part-timer taking someone's spot?

    FUCK NO.

    ReplyDelete
  57. who said he'd come back as a part timer?

    ReplyDelete
  58. Nobody. I don't think he's done for good.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Meh. I think we were getting Bryan winning the title either way. Maybe not with all the HHH stuff but he was gonna get his "coronation" with or without punk being there

    ReplyDelete
  60. I don't either. But I think when he's done, he's done for good.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Heyman jokingly pushed for Austin/Lesnar for 31. That would be the shit

    ReplyDelete
  62. That's too sensible. We can either love him or hate him. NO IN BETWEEN

    ReplyDelete
  63. Not a chance. Bryan needed HHH free to complete the story that was started at SummerSlam. That doesn't happen without Punk walking out.

    ReplyDelete
  64. The games can be really hit or miss, especially lately. I think FFX was the last really great Final Fantasy game. I also really enjoyed 6, 7 and 9.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I also think it's pretty telling that Punk can be a complete shithead openly to fans in person and on Twitter and he's just Big Ol' Lovably Grumpy CM Punk, but if anyone ELSE gets into a pudding contest with a fan on Twitter or avoids/insults a fan after a show, they're an asshole.

This is the guy who turned around and straight up decked a man in the fucking face, not knowing if it was the right guy and all for the cardinal sin of brushing against his shoulder in a crowd.

In addition to being a politician and a baby, he's also got some serious social and anger issues.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Everyone keeps saying that about X. I enjoy the game for Auron's character and hearing Wakka's voice because the same guys voices Bender on Futurama and Jake on Adventure Time.

    ReplyDelete
  67. I go 9, 6, 4, 5, 12, 10, 7, 3, 1, 2, 13, 8 (I don't rate the MMOs or "sequels")

9 and 6 are close enough to basically be interchangeable, 12/10/7 are pretty close as a group, and 2/13/8 are the truly bad ones IMO.

Most underrated: 5. It's not perfect by any means, but it isn't horribly out of place compared to 6 or 4 either. 3 is also not too bad, but the DS version is my reference there.

Most overrated: 7, duh... it's good, but not THAT good. 13 (as a game, and as a "series") is just not fun.

    ReplyDelete
  68. AJ's engaged, so an "expanding" Parallax added her to his conquest list. If he hadn't done so already.

(Disclaimer for the dense: THIS IS NOT SERIOUS.)

    ReplyDelete
  69. That's obvious!

    ReplyDelete
  70. Pretty much my view. Also, there's the little issue of the only "fact" being tossed around is his actual walking out... everything else seems to be hearsay of various degrees.

    ReplyDelete
  71. There could easily be a thread on the greatness of 7 and how Tidus is portrayed in 10.

    ReplyDelete
  72. 7: Aeris dies, Cloud is a emo bitch, Sephiroth has a small penis.

    Next.
