    Well, they've officially given up.

  5. Wish Thunder and Nitro were on the network, along with WCW Saturday Night and NWA/WCW Main Event and worldwide. Especially all the 1989 stuff.

  6. I happened to be at Universal today where they were hocking free tickets. Had I known it was for Sacrifice, there would have been a 25% chance, at best, at be there.

  7. I'm here for the real thread.

  22. This show is worth the price of 2 WWE Specials and every PPV show in the history of WWE, WCW, and ECW?

I'm watching Starrcade 86 with the Nikita Koloff-Ric Flair main event. Has anyone watched this yet? After Flair's entrance for the main event, there is a CHEESY tribute video for Magnum TA, and I'm assuming that the music for the video is overdubbed with this song that would probably be played on a Lite Rock station.

Needless to say, I laughed throughout the whole thing, as Magnum is running along a beach as his mom looks on.

  28. Serious question...wasn't Scott a huge fan of TNA a few years ago? I remember reading one of his reviews and he said it was the best wrestling show on tv. When was this and what happened?

    ReplyDelete
  29. TNA was good up until a year ago. Bound for Glory 2012 was awesome

    ReplyDelete
  30. Late 2011 TNA -> 3rd quarter 2012 TNA was made of awesome.

Then, Aces and Eights (which started awesome mid-2012) started to get long in the tooth, and things started to slide. And slide. And slide.

  31. Magnus was lucky to be alive.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yea...dont think Owen should be on that list....

    ReplyDelete
  33. So after you say youre going to have sex...you hang around to reply again in the comment thread of a wrestling blog???

    ReplyDelete
  34. Why not? They were playing up the disconnect between the two just before his death.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Why couldn't he do both simultaneously?

I feel better laughing about that video knowing that he came out relatively disabled.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Is Flair accidentally exposing Nikita on a delayed suplex left in?

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'd like to. Robbie E acted like an asshole to my friend at a show one year ago.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Good point... but the end game kind of ruins anything and everything about it.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Have they already reached the era where they taped two weeks worth of Thunder in one night or is that still a few months away?

    ReplyDelete
  41. Just as i'm reading this, I see on twitter that Lee Marshall has passed away - http://www.kfbk.com/articles/kfbk-news-461777/lee-marshall-voice-of-tony-the-12292486/#ixzz309AZWsp5

This. That was a great stretch and the bottom just fell out. But it was weird that everything was on fire, from the booking to the matches to even using Hogan as an authority figure the right way (sticking him in the back and keeping him there unless he needed to make a match).

    ReplyDelete
  44. WCW has such a sick stacked roster at this point that it had to take effort to put on bad matches and horrible shows.....
    Flair, Los Guerreros
    Bret Hart, Benoit
    Luger, Saturn, Raven
    Sting, Konan
    Poppa Pump, Giant
    DDP, Hogan
    Outsiders, Goldberg
    Harlem Heat, Malenko
And whoever else, I'm sure I'm missing another dozen big names. It's like, there were so many big names that jobbers shouldn't have even existed on this roster.
    Damn you WCW.
