Furnas' death was particularly awful, because he had apparently died of a heart-related thing (combined with Parkinson's disease) a MONTH before they found his body, which meant that it had decomposed badly.
It amazes me that bookers would let their petty beefs with wrestlers spill over into the booking, never realizing that putting out a shitty product will ultimately lead to them losing their job.
I've been tired of it for a lot longer than I have been letting on... I just believe in giving the people what they want... but I just can't deal with it anymore
I loved those late night jobber shows too - Velocity, Shotgun Saturday Night, whatever other name it was at whatever time... for a long while my favorite match was Essa Rios vs. Low-Ki. 12 year old Elmo was a big Essa Rios fan.
If you are running short on time and you need Luger to win a match in less than 30 seconds I would think you would know enough not to use a potential world champ as the fall guy.
Seriously though. this is nothing but a spam post and nothing more. Then Meekin will reply with "See? I knew you loved me." ignoring the fact that what he posts is garbage 99% of the time.
Yup the fact that there are what, maybe 20 responses and out of those maybe 3 of them gave serious answers will be lost on him and he will say something to the effect of what you just said because he is so desperate for attention he can't see the legitimacy to the criticism.
But what you see on tv is the same the fans see in the arena. So it shouldn't matter. Your eyes see more than HD, so the screen in the arena should be more than HD even if you tape it with sd cameras. ;-)
If he'd stuck around long enough he was gonna be turned into Spartacus.
ReplyDeleteBATB looks less like a fruit punch than Beach Blast?
ReplyDeleteI wish there had been more H.P. Lovecraft / John Carpenter inspired WCW events like that.
ReplyDeleteYou're used to hearing Doug Furnas' name pronounced? I have trouble remembering the poor guy even wrestled.
ReplyDeleteI'm on my cell say be it's formatting, but I have 0 idea how to read this.
ReplyDeleteI'm drunk as shit and playing the UFC 360 game. The one bouncer where I work teaches BJJ, I gotta talk to him about that shit.
ReplyDeleteFurnas' death was particularly awful, because he had apparently died of a heart-related thing (combined with Parkinson's disease) a MONTH before they found his body, which meant that it had decomposed badly.
ReplyDelete"Oh noes, they look almost the same and without a storyline I can't like this! Not enough cars and bad acting!!!1"
ReplyDeleteIn before someone actually posts something like that! Great match!

ReplyDeleteCameo appearance by Dirty Dutch! as Jerry Lawler enters SuperCena mode to fight off the entire heel roster before doing the J-O-B.
Wade Kellar always pronounced it that way too
ReplyDeletehahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Can't stop laughing at this. Had the last two days off and this is just what I needed to get back in work mode.
ReplyDeleteWait... This isn't AAA.
ReplyDeleteWrong Sin Limite? There's two wrestling related shows called Sin Limite?
Ah.
Ishimori's entrance is worth 5 stars on its own.
ReplyDeleteWhoever voted for "Diva Gifs during live threads" Has extremely good taste.
ReplyDeleteHa I think it was like a Sunday afternoon too, so thats seriously how I spent my day. Well worth it though
ReplyDeleteIt amazes me that bookers would let their petty beefs with wrestlers spill over into the booking, never realizing that putting out a shitty product will ultimately lead to them losing their job.

ReplyDeleteJust... Fucking... Stop
ReplyDeleteVideo won't load for me.
ReplyDeleteIshimori means that this is from NOAH right?
I read this post in Juvi's voice, making it all the more funny.
ReplyDeleteCaliber was also responsible for the greatest moment at NPP in the last year. Truly glorious.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nopantsprovided.com/forum/dumb-things-super-smarks-say-blog-of-doom-chat-t12933p310.html?highlight=Caliber
ReplyDeleteStarts there. Runs on about six pages. He has not returned.
"I got a write-in vote, Monsoon!"
ReplyDelete"Yeah, postmarked from 'Beverly Hills.'"
"My neighbours love me!"
"I'll bet."
The question I have, due to the voting period, is will "Abeyance hating Asians" have the staying power for people remember to vote for it next year?
ReplyDeleteWhatever this was suppose to be, its terrible.
ReplyDeleteJust stop!!!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see this, but I'm keeping my original post.
ReplyDeleteWould that make Mr. Hughes the Sun Beneath the Sea?
ReplyDelete- Response to anything Meekin has ever posted
ReplyDeleteI loved those late night jobber shows too - Velocity, Shotgun Saturday Night, whatever other name it was at whatever time... for a long while my favorite match was Essa Rios vs. Low-Ki. 12 year old Elmo was a big Essa Rios fan.
ReplyDeleteSo did Caliber...win everything?
ReplyDeleteIf you are running short on time and you need Luger to win a match in less than 30 seconds I would think you would know enough not to use a potential world champ as the fall guy.
ReplyDeleteHe became an asshole and the gimmick died.
ReplyDeleteHe took the ball and ran with it.
ReplyDeleteMOTY: This post!
ReplyDeleteSeriously though. this is nothing but a spam post and nothing more. Then Meekin will reply with "See? I knew you loved me." ignoring the fact that what he posts is garbage 99% of the time.
ReplyDelete....and as delusional as Dennis Stamp
ReplyDeleteIt appears so
ReplyDeleteYup the fact that there are what, maybe 20 responses and out of those maybe 3 of them gave serious answers will be lost on him and he will say something to the effect of what you just said because he is so desperate for attention he can't see the legitimacy to the criticism.
ReplyDeleteI was one of the 3.
ReplyDeleteOf course you were
ReplyDeleteWinner!
ReplyDeleteProbably not, things tend to move fast here. I'm sure something bigger will come up.
Is he still here just under a different name?
ReplyDeleteYes.
ReplyDeleteS'okay, he still loses at life.
ReplyDeleteYes sir.
ReplyDeleteAre the NOAH rings bigger than usual, or is it just that these guys are smaller?
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like there's a couple feet extra per side.
Great match, though.
The WCW Saturday Night entrance that was a hallway and had pictures on the wall, along with the WWF jukebox are pretty much untouchable to me
