I never have and never will wish a broken neck on anyone but as someone astutely pointed out, Bryan broke his neck before the company effectively cut off his nuts.
On one hand it sucks because his title reign might be over before it began. On the other hand it's not so bad because his title reign didn't have the opportunity to fully make him look like a pathetic weakling and returning from any form of a broken neck in three months is pretty bad ass.
Moving on there are a few options for a new champion, most of which will make us cringe. They could go back to the franchise (no, not Shane Douglas) because if anything, Cena is durable and can keep business afloat.
They could go to Brock and probably have to pay him more money to make monthly stops on the PP...errr Specials. They could go back to Orton, who actually didn't do a bad job in the role he was asked to perform.
Shame is, had they just not floated the U.S. Belt to him, Sheamus would be my choice. Had the booking not had Bryan screwing around with Kane, Sheamus could have used this to really get his heel turn going. Hit Bryan with a few neckbreakers, clotheslines and a Brogue kick or five and it becomes a killer move. He could even go old school Owen Hart (or older school Greg Valentine) and wear a "I Broke Daniel Bryan's Neck" t-shirt. I miss those sort of old-fashioned heel type things. Like mean t-shirts and cheating and using the ropes to choke someone.
The problem this injury exposes is the WWE is deep on talent but short on top guys. You've got Cena, Orton, Batista...sort of..., Sheamus...sort of...., Brock...seasonally..., and Triple H I suppose. Batista will be gone to film bad movies for a bit. It would be nice to have more options from that stacked group of mid-carders but very few of them have been giving the opportunity to get that level of credibility.
So again, if he's healthy and willing to give it another go, there's a very talented worker in Chicago that one of the major controlling stockholders should give a call to and see if he's healed up nicely. That's what I would do.
Anyway we got NBA Western Conference Finals Game 1, NHL Eastern Conference Finals Game 2, a three-hour wrestling card and other stuff so find your fun place. And keep it clean!

Yeah, I think I'll watch Rangers/Canadiens, if only for the violence potential off of Price's injury.
ReplyDeleteOK am I really going to have to point out again that Bryan was NOT being made to "look weak" or whatever fantasy the IWC is trying to get over?
ReplyDeleteRandom thought: Chris Jericho had the only successful losing streak ever. His 97' losing streak and subsequent heel turn sent him to the next level and set him up for all the success he had later. Every other losing streak has been a career killing disaster yet WWE keeps hoping for that Jericho magic.
ReplyDeleteOr Les HAbs could just win #BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! #LGR
ReplyDeleteCertainly he was given a less than ideal first challenger to the title and was a part of some very poorly scripted Raw segments. These certainly didn't help him look like a strong champion performer, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. And his anchor of a wife.
ReplyDeleteFantasy: I do not believe you know what that word means, good sir.
ReplyDeleteWhy not make Sheamus WWE World Champ anyway? It's not like the US Title is worth protecting, and another tournament would be good programming for Main Event anyway.
ReplyDeleteInconceivable
ReplyDeleteHis only televised title defense was against Kane, he'll probably be stripped of the title tonight making him a 3 time former WWE champion with a whopping 43 total days as champ. The company's financials are falling apart, his necks broken and his dad died.
ReplyDeleteHow's your spring going?
They don't want him heel.
ReplyDeleteThey don't resolve the Bryan situation tonight. He has to show up next week to surrender the title. There, I just saved you all 3 hours of your life.
ReplyDeleteWas that car segment goofy? Yes. Were the segments before to a lesser extent goofy? Sure. Did it make him look weak trying to protect his wife? Not in the least.
ReplyDeleteTo recap, since Summerslam Bryan has CLEANLY beaten Cena, Orton several times, HHH, and Batista. Plus headlined WrestleMania 30 along with several other PPVs and won the WWE title several times. Most wrestlers today would fucking kill for that kind of push.
I dunno whether this is spoilers or not but like... y'know. Less of that, please.
ReplyDeleteNot liking Brie being involved with him storyline wise is fine.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer Santino as champ...
ReplyDeleteCrowd also chants for CM Punk.
ReplyDeleteDude, she was awful. Being awful with Santino? Fine.
ReplyDeleteWith your newly crowned champ? Not fine.
On the plus side, he headlined Mania, makes a boatload of money and married a Bella. Its not all bad....
ReplyDeleteEh, pretaped... see you guys tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Bryan's losing streak last year? It changed him from comic relief to serious contender for the WWE title.
ReplyDeleteI agree, she shouldn't have been involved with the Kane thing.
ReplyDeleteSo I heard. We let ourselves down tonight.
ReplyDeleteNo it didn't.
ReplyDeleteGlad we can agree
ReplyDeleteI'd have cena win the title, drop it too Brock and then have Bryan win it back
ReplyDeleteI loved it when he kept beating on the ring announcer.
ReplyDeleteYou know what hasnt been spoiled tonight? BoD RAW, at 11:35 EST
ReplyDeleteI'd probably put Bray Wyatt over Cena in the tournament finals. Luke & Erick each carry a belt to the ring for Bray.
ReplyDeleteCHEAP POP, RIGHT HERE, ON BOD
ReplyDeleteYJ2310 wants on the damn show, stockholders are begging for it....
ReplyDeleteAm I going over?
ReplyDeleteCan I get a dark match in sometime? I'll send in some tapes
ReplyDeleteJust saying so doesn't make you right.
ReplyDeleteBefore "I AM NOT THE WEAK LINK!!" he was Kane's goofy sidekick. After he broke the streak by submitting Orton, he was elevated to the main event.
Facts > Lies
Lively Brits though....
ReplyDeleteOkay, just throwing this out.
ReplyDelete"In Japanese plays, these stagehands wore black to symbolize this needed quality."
My answer: Stealth
Contestant's answer: Invisibility.
Hers was accepted... would mine also be accepted?
You know what title won't be stripped? The BoD World title. Your champion, cultstatus on BoD RAW at 11:35 EST
ReplyDeleteThey did Bryan no favors by sticking him in that piece of crap Kane angle. A feud with Swagger wouldve done more for him....
ReplyDeleteYou are in the show as a matter of fact
ReplyDeleteMarried the least useless Bella, at that. (If there is such a thing.)
ReplyDeleteHot crowd always makes it nice... but I find myself watching out of routine. I merely just want to know what happens, not necessarily care to see it. Plus with Daniel Bryan not on the card for a few months, most of my interest is in a neck brace too.
ReplyDeleteNot fine, not fine, anything but fine.
ReplyDeleteYeah no. Swagger should never be anywhere near the top title again. He should have never been there in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI respect you booker man....
ReplyDeleteYou would have been perfect - a returning Kurt Angle (yes I realize this couldn't have happened for obvious reasons)
ReplyDeleteI would say no, because they specifically need to perform their tasks without being seen, whereas stealth implies other purposes, such as spying or robbery.
ReplyDeleteYou even get a storyline
ReplyDeleteAndy PG vs. BOD Raw, do we have ourselves a new Monday Night War?
ReplyDeleteIm sorry but that match where one Bella is stretching out the other Bella before the match which I believe was their last before they took a hiatus, made me a fan....
ReplyDelete>So again, if he's healthy and willing to give it another go, there's a very talented worker in Chicago that one of the major controlling stockholders should give a call to and see if he's healed up nicely. That's what I would do.
ReplyDeleteBut he's not, so this is a moot point.
>On the other hand it's not so bad because his title reign didn't have the opportunity to fully make him look like a pathetic weakling and returning from any form of a broken neck in three months is pretty bad ass.
Yea it's not so bad that he had a broken neck. Just dumb.
WWE's bullshit "we have to tell stories!" had zero to do with Bryan being over enough to face Cena at SummerSlam.
ReplyDeleteI hope Im not the Eugene of the BOD....
ReplyDeleteKurt Angle is literally a few years away from dying in the ring. No way is he ever wrestling in WWE again.
ReplyDeleteThat's what I thought... it only cost me 800.
ReplyDeleteBoardwalk and Marvin Gardens just got me to 36,800, which would have KILLED the others (winner had 10,700)
Who will Paul Meekin & White Thunder, the Rybaxel of the BoD face tonight? Tune in at 11:35 EST to find out on...... BoD RAW
ReplyDeleteWorst Drawing champ since Kevin Nash....
ReplyDeleteIf I were WWE I'd have Bryan forfeit his title on the condition he gets a title shot with his return. Bryan gets all screwed over, as he is wont to do, wins...Money in the Bank, then cashes in during the ME, and everyone is happy.
ReplyDeleteWhen I read "That's what I would do", it made me think of reopening the Quickstop....
ReplyDeleteSpoiler Alert: No
ReplyDeleteYou will get on some day. Might have to start out on BoD Saturday Night in a gimmick tag team with Andrew Dean
ReplyDeleteCoolest champ since Kevin Nash
ReplyDeleteFTFY
I'd have Bryan say he wasnt forfeiting anything and have Otunga give him legal advice....
ReplyDeleteHold a tourney for an interim champ.....
I really want to come back with a quote from Alan Partridge on his military based quiz show 'Skirmish' on UK Conquest, but alas, I cannot find it online anywhere, despite being hilarious.
ReplyDeletePunk might have issue with that....
ReplyDeleteHey are you changing your avatar to Michael Jackson out back-from-the-deaded 2Pac?
ReplyDeleteBut goofy sidekick Bryan was not going to main event SummerSlam. He needed to get serious. And the losing streak was his ticket to get there.
ReplyDeleteI'm happy to do that. I don't care if I even have to be renamed/repackaged with some uber shit gimmick.
ReplyDeleteI'm here to work hard, pay my dues, and inevitably get fucking nowhere.
Bayless, the least you can do is get me some decent competition. I'm planning on running roughshot over the BoD and leaving a path of carnage and destruction. My rage cannot be contained. Tell em' Meekin.
ReplyDeleteYeh, I see your point. You have officially zapped a few percent away from my overall enjoyment of the upcoming show.
ReplyDeleteI wish I was going to see Bryan live at Battleground but I guess not. I would rather miss out on seeing him live once than see him rush his return and hurting his neck more down the line.
ReplyDeleteI meant that as an example and I bet Bryan and Swagger couldve had decent matches....
ReplyDeleteKane shouldnt be main eventing Special Events in 2014 and he shouldnt be booked in top feuds either....
Just take the belt off of him. If Cena is the #1 guy then just give him belt, fuck it. I don't want to see another second rate title run ala CM Punk, Bret Hart, etc.
ReplyDeleteI'm not booked.
ReplyDeleteSpoiler: heyman mentions brock lesnar breaking the undertakers streak again.
ReplyDeleteI beat Ursula in Kingdom Hearts then started Halloween Town.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Slave to the Gimmick.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone knows about carnage and destruction, its Meekin.....
ReplyDeleteDo you change the Payback card up so that guys like The Shield, Evolution, Cena and Wyatt participate in a tournament? Or do you go with guys like Kane, Sheamus, Cesaro, Barrett, etc?
ReplyDeleteThank you WWE for giving me flashbacks to my neck surgery.
ReplyDeleteThat's racist you devil.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I've just really felt connected to the product with Daniel Bryan... probably for the first time since '97 or so with Bret Hart.
ReplyDeleteYou have to penalize yourself for not performing under actual pressure.
ReplyDeleteYou saw them doing surgery on your own neck?
ReplyDeleteGive me a script, and i'll read it in an obvious fashion, and deliver said lines poorly.
ReplyDeleteI also excel in standing at a weird angle, watching a tv screen as a match plays out.
ReplyDeleteI think if Bryan is going to be out for 2-3 months anyway, just have MITB be where they crown a new champion. One ladder match for the briefcase, one ladder match for the title.
ReplyDeleteNah, I was knocked out during that point but I do remember waking up still in the OR with the doctors talking about something and thinking I was still opened up (I wasn't). Just seeing the pics of Bryan's surgery on the pre show gave me that queasy, uneasy feeling I had before going under.
ReplyDeleteWith Bryan injured, does this mean that Abeyance is getting booked a second title reign?
ReplyDeleteOnly if he doesn't have to fly to Japan to retrieve the title.
ReplyDeleteCut my score to 1/3, and I still win.
ReplyDeleteI generally call double or better a win, only because I do have "game show" experience (just not on that level, granted.)
I like the idea of a 7 man ladder match for the title, actually.
ReplyDeleteThat would be political suicide since his views on Asians came to light. They better not have him defend the title during a tour to Japan.
ReplyDeleteI don't remember if I'm ever booked, but even when I'm not, I explain it away that I'm a trainer in developmental. I'll never be a huge star in these comments, but I can be a reliable hand who's bitter about never having made it in the live threads. So I'd be PERFECT for developmental.
ReplyDeleteBut do you know that for sure
ReplyDeleteAnytime Abeyance is mentioned, an Asian gets sacrificed.
ReplyDeleteIf you're facing Petuka and myself, you're counting lights at the end of the worknight.
ReplyDeleteThat would be the logical thing, but they will make it as complicated as possible.
ReplyDeleteNo it wasn't. It was WWE's retarded answer for it.
ReplyDeleteAt least tonight's best match is in the first hour so I see it and still catch 24 at 9.
ReplyDeleteDon't know if I can make it through a 3 hour RAW again. One is enough for the month.
ReplyDeleteWell, we'll just have to agree that you don't get it.
ReplyDeleteIf I wanted spoilers, I'd be elsewhere. Between this and the earlier comment, it's like you can't help yourself.
ReplyDeleteBoD RAW Preview
ReplyDeleteAfter last week’s ending, will Jobber, Parallax, and Farva continue their alliance? Will the champion and Jef Vinson have to form an alliance of their own to fend off this trio?
With Payback less than two weeks away, what other matches will get added to the card.
With the Tag Team Division heating up, what will the GM have in store?
Will Tommy Hall taunt another BoD Writer with his e-book money? What kind of fancy new purchase will he flaunt this week.
And, with the Midcard Mafia facing financial hardship, will they take the GM’s offer and park cars with Nebb28 under the supervision of BoD NXT call-up Archie Stackhouse? Or will they continue their fight against the GM?
Speaking of the midcard, what details will be revealed for the new secondary championship? And how will the champion be determined?
After last week, just how deep is The Unstable inside of Mar Solo’s head. Can anyone get them out? Will Dr. Farva need to be called to perform an operation?
And is Abeyance1 still racist? He probably is, folks
All this and a lot more on…………………………………….
BoD RAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wish the little stage from WWF circa late 80's-early 90's would return and guys cut their promos from their instead of in the ring.
ReplyDeleteZanatude, are we allowed to make snarky comments when they show a pandering Cena video for cancer or is that a no no?
ReplyDeleteSweet, can't wait!
ReplyDeleteThe Mean Gene segments with the WWF logo backdrop were my favorite
ReplyDeleteI just watched the latest Botchamania...that ref bump about made me spit water everywhere.
ReplyDeleteThey have it on Superstars. Just last week, King interviewed Kofi from that stage post-match with the crowd in the background.
ReplyDeleteThis comment hasn't spoiled anything.
ReplyDeleteHow deep are they?
ReplyDeleteJust how deep does the rabbit hole go?
Brian Bayless, we comin for you nig.....
ReplyDeletePLEASE STAND BY
Bring it to RAW then instead of a show no one watches.
ReplyDeleteCould you link me, bro?
ReplyDeleteOnce your BoD Healthcare goes into effect, you can get seen by a doctor. For now, you get Farva
ReplyDeleteHello again.
ReplyDeletehttp://botchamania.com/botchamania-251/
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ... Poor Bobby Roode's repeated trips through the table, those two goofs almost making the Methodist kid and his three "friends" look good, this one has been painful so far.
ReplyDeleteDanke scrotes.
ReplyDeletePut that cigarette out!
ReplyDeleteThat little bit right there on the network was one of the first times Cesaro and Heyman showed genuine chemistry
ReplyDeleteDid you say hello earlier and I missed it? I'm confused. Why are you making me this confused!
ReplyDeleteFUCK IT!
ReplyDeleteOh shit...I smell a Tommy Hall thrashing coming....courtesy of the BoD Writing Champion. I would like to inform Mr. Hall that the belt is made by a 7 year old out of cardboard.
ReplyDeleteWell there was the video that leaked of them tag teaming AJ, they seemed to have good chemistry there.
ReplyDeleteI was posting in other threads at work and then I stopped posting and came back!
ReplyDeleteNCIS sucks btw.
ReplyDeleteWish I was in your program
ReplyDeleteFarva is the kind of doctor that assists in insurance fraud for a fee.
ReplyDeleteThis video just got saved by the Jeopardy Table of Non-Burn and the Nation of Intoxication.
ReplyDelete...can anyone think of a good buried alive match? Or even a match decent enough that it took a broken neck to "rob" us of another clunky classic?
ReplyDeleteBut this is the first time you are saying hello in this thread? Did you say hello in those past threads? This thread is a clean slate! I demand you go back and edit your post to just read "Hello"!
ReplyDeleteI can't even smile at jokes about AJ. With CM Punk, I feel like Vince screaming at Stone Cold after the Tyson encounter, "You ruined her dammit!" I have my doubts that she'll ever return. You hang around a rich, uber cynical guy, the passion for the business isn't going to remain.
ReplyDeleteBut Summer School was one of my favorite movies to watch on cable as a kid.
ReplyDeleteGood point!
ReplyDeleteSummer School was great, loved when they did each other up in gory shit to mess with the substitute teacher....
ReplyDeleteYeah, great movie. And this red head chick on here now used to be hot in Dumb and Dumber.
ReplyDeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteYou know why this preview sucked?
ReplyDeleteIt didn't feature me.
And married to Jim Carrey IRL!
ReplyDeleteWell that was different.
ReplyDeleteWaiting for that opening graphic to say Now. Then. For a Few More Weeks.
ReplyDeleteLet's open with the #1 song on the Billboard Overplayed Chart.
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE different!
ReplyDeleteThat was a pretty cool visual.
ReplyDeleteLove all of the lights in the background.
ReplyDeleteHusky is pretty over....
ReplyDeleteYOU'RE DIFFERENT!
ReplyDeleteOKAY THEN!
ReplyDeleteYeah he is!
ReplyDeleteThe crowd Bolieves in him.
ReplyDeleteUntil Cena wins lol
ReplyDelete:shakes head:
ReplyDeleteAwful kind of them to launch a hard to watch taped show with the Wyatts, can catch up on my sunday night viewings tonight
ReplyDeletewhen you consider where he was on NXT a few years ago, to where he is now as far as character development......who saw that coming?
ReplyDeleteThat doesnt seem like it has mattered at all...
ReplyDeleteNa ah!
ReplyDeleteI swear, I didn't know she was Asian at first.
ReplyDeleteStephanie and HHH.....
ReplyDeleteShe?
ReplyDeleteSad thing is Bray is pretty spot on about how the teachers in Hernando County are.
ReplyDeleteWyatt is pretty good on the stick. The singing is way over too.
ReplyDeletePreach it Bray!
ReplyDeleteThat was good.
ReplyDeleteAre you near Hernando County? Im next county over, both are pretty useless counties....
ReplyDeleteTruth number 345? Arm bar
ReplyDeleteAnytime you can get a 3rd rate hack soap opera writer to write Bray's promos instead of the guy behind the Raven character, you gotta do it.
ReplyDeleteUh, what are you doing Bray?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Daniel Bryan can join us via hologram tonight.
ReplyDeleteAnd the UK hates Cena.
ReplyDeleteI'm telling you though, with Bray's delivery right now? The phonebook would be compelling
ReplyDeleteWhat did I miss right at the start?
ReplyDeleteBray needs to go over Cena at Payback....
ReplyDeleteI bet Cena attacks from the crowd!
ReplyDeleteOh no.
ReplyDeleteJohnny boy isn't too popular here
ReplyDeleteYou win.
ReplyDelete...they should re-use that finish at the PPV...then have him piss on Bray
ReplyDeleteThrow the glow sticks at him.
ReplyDeleteI would spoil the Harper/Cena main event but it was so unremarkable I forgot everything about it all ready.
ReplyDeleteWell at least we won't lose Cena in the dark.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neon coward.
ReplyDeleteYep, I live near Weeki Wachee Springs. I'm guessing you live in Pasco? And yeah, they are pretty useless places to live.
ReplyDeleteYou can't see him!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the heads up.
ReplyDeleteNOW HIRING
ReplyDeleteJam-up guys and solid hands
Are you willing to switch your name and start out at BoD NXT as Slip Karstens?
Every moment he's on camera... the word "stale" comes to mind and I want to roll my eyes. Does anyone find Cena compelling or engaging at this point?
ReplyDeleteDying kids?
ReplyDeleteVince Jordan
ReplyDeleteI don't mind him.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, Bray grew up in Hernando County/Brooksville area.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure even the merch booth's at the shows are tired of shelling out his crappy shirts.
ReplyDeleteKids, otherwise, nope.....
ReplyDeleteI know 'being heels' and all that... But why hasn't DB mentioned HHH being out for a year with the quad tear?
ReplyDeleteWas it really smart to drag the guy with neck issues by his arm guys?
ReplyDeleteThey need his merch sales to offset 330 mil
ReplyDeleteBut do you find his character to be interesting?
ReplyDeleteIf they'd waited till this wek to do this angle Bryan could have had his surgery for free!
ReplyDeleteI feel sorry for all the fans out in England that won't get the chance to go nuts with Daniel Bryan and his 2 belts.
ReplyDeleteYup, down in the Hudson area. Ive been here since 95, area has started to really go down hill.
ReplyDelete
