From Mike Johnson at PWInsider.com:
"WWE has come to terms with Fergal "Prince" Devitt, PWInsider.com has confirmed. The former IWGP Junior Heavyweight champion will report to WWE NXT in Florida once his work visa goes through.
He is expected to report to developmental in about 1-2 months, but he is signed."

Time to eat crow.
ReplyDeleteWWE Name Fergandy Billington.
ReplyDeleteHe and KENTA(if he signs with the WWE) should debut as tag team sponsored by the mastermind behind the 1 in 21-1.
ReplyDeletePrinceton Devito
ReplyDeleteHe should keep somehow his RNR persona.
ReplyDeleteJericho wouldn't like that.
ReplyDeleteThe following names are NXT Appropriate:
ReplyDeleteLiam Costello
Rhys O'Leary
Paddy Doherty
Blake McCarthy
Sean Patrick
Imagine if WWE had a 1 hour show with nothing but Juniors
ReplyDeleteThey actually have a fair number of Juniors but Vince hates cruisers, never understood why?
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna commit a heresy, but screw JeriGod this time.
ReplyDeleteLiam Costello.
ReplyDeleteKenta too apparently.
ReplyDeleteLink please?
ReplyDeleteToo lazy, saw it on 411
ReplyDeleteSo Prince will.... what, show up and side with Sheamus?
ReplyDeleteMaybe he'll debut as Hornswoggle's real father...
ReplyDeletego undefeated for 3 months until lose to Cena.
ReplyDeletein Boston, no less.
ReplyDeleteAw, and we don't get to see dueling GTS now :(
ReplyDeleteYou get dueling Knees.
ReplyDeletePaddy McPaddy?
ReplyDeleteSign Nigel McGuinness as a manager for Sheamus, Devitt, McIntyre and I'm THERE.
ReplyDeleteI really hope WWE makes him carry a shillelagh to the ring.
ReplyDeleteKevin Garvey
ReplyDeleteO'Hanrahan No O'Hanrahan?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking Kofi......
ReplyDeleteWho comes up with thoses NXT names, aside from The Shield, everyone sucks.
ReplyDeleteCan he have Zombie as his entrance theme?
ReplyDelete"No." - Vince
ReplyDeleteToo bad. I'm actually thinking that would get a good reaction.
ReplyDeleteOr team him with Camacho and call them Jesus Begorrah
ReplyDeleteRoman Reigns is a pretty badass name, Seth Rollins is... okay, I guess. I was gonna say "Seth" doesn't sound like the name of someone who could kick your ass, but then again neither did "Tyler."
ReplyDeleteBut for some reason, I've never liked the name Dean Ambrose. Maybe it makes me think of Dean Douglas, I dunno. Just doesn't sound like a wrestling name to me.
He should debut under his real name, so that everyone can lament how he WASN'T given a goofy stage name.
ReplyDeleteI'd prefer Heyman managing Okada but that would happen on the 7th of never.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, "Seth Rollins" will be known as "Rollins" soon enough.
ReplyDeletePro: More money, more career longevity away from the strong style
ReplyDeleteCon: I'm selfish and will miss him in NJPW.
Me too. I'm honestly shocked as he was making huge money in NJPW, plus he had stuff like being the race of Armani in Japan.
ReplyDeleteOn the plus side, Devitt is kinda like a more awesome CM Punk. If he wrestles D-Bry, it's going to be 5 stars.
ReplyDeleteDolan. No first or last name, just Dolan. His fans are the Dolanites.
ReplyDeleteDean Ambrose sounds like an old guy schmoozing it up with the Full Blooded Italians on the Jersey shore.
ReplyDeleteIt says a lot about you that you waste time on 411 of all places.
ReplyDeleteWhat it says is that I'm lazy and I visit to see what the headlines because it is quick and easy.
ReplyDeleteNice try? I'll give you minute to reply to another post and try to make a point.
It's reminiscent of Dean Malenko, which can't be bad
ReplyDeleteI'll be honest: I know basically nothing about this guy, but if it leads to more great matches in NXT and WWE, I'm all in.
ReplyDeleteHow is Devitt anyway similar to Punk?
ReplyDeletePunk hasn't been a pure worker in almost 10 years. He's a character, Devitt is an uber athlete junior heavyweight. Punk and him are in the same weight class and hjve a similar hybrid style, but that's every single independent wrestler with some buzz.
By your logic, Punk is kinda like a more awesome Davey Richards. True, but an utterly bizarre comparison to make in the first place.
Why would two Irishmen and a Scot be managed by a Londoner?
