BoD Evening Thread - Wednesday Edition

Tonight on the WWE Network: a replay of Payback 2014, which overall was a decent show. Check it out again, or watch it for the first time if you missed it. Also, some of you may want to get together and decide on another show to watch.

The NHL Stanley Cup Finals get under way tonight, with the NY Rangers facing the LA Kings.

There's a full slate of MLB action.

Decent turn out last night. Even Brian Bayless showed up.

I know it is old news, but this is awesome

  2. The name drop was cute but how about getting to posting the Daily Update. I'm waiting

    ReplyDelete
  3. Stranger in the AlpsJune 4, 2014 at 6:00 PM

I would Brian, but my factual sources tell me there is no news worth reporting. Only conjecture, and that's not news.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Neville vs. Kidd was very good. A little lackluster on storytelling, but a lot of incredible spots and counters. Also, they sold well, which made the high-spots feel more important. It would have been a great match if they got the crowd invested into it.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Fuck yeah I cried.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Another night, another Yankees game. After that loss last night, not sure how much I can take. I might just pop Lego Batman 2 into the PS Vita and give it a whirl.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Those multi-millionaire contracts are surely paying off.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Stranger in the AlpsJune 4, 2014 at 6:03 PM

    Sox-Indians in a rain delay. I'm running Jays-Tigers. I hate Toronto.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Like every team in baseball?

    ReplyDelete
  10. You're comparing the Yankees to every team? Lol.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Blah, blah, blah I am too lazy do to the daily update. Maybe you should steal it from me tomorrow morning and post it in this bullshit thread

    ReplyDelete
  12. Sunday's loss too... waste of two games.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Every team in baseball has the ability to spend more to make their teams better. The Steinbrenner family decides to do this. Other owners decide to pocket a lot more money. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

It's not like the Yankees are the early-90s Mets.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Stanley Cup Game 1 about to start, well after the 20 minutes of intros....

    ReplyDelete
  15. Lmao, are you serious? That's so bogus, you know it.

    ReplyDelete
  16. What did I say that was untrue?

    ReplyDelete
  17. You believe most teams could spend the amount of money that the Yankees can.....

    ReplyDelete
  18. COULD spend, but WON'T spend.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Okay, but they don't nearly have the amount of money the Yankees do.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Why are people praising Jason Kidd so much for this year as a coach? He was literally almost fired and they got into the playoffs in a very weak Eastern Conference.

    ReplyDelete
  21. I never said that they did.

    ReplyDelete
  22. He runs the shittiest plays off of timeouts.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Guy can't even hold on to his soda.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Who the hell in praising Jason Kidd? Jay Z would be better off coaching the team.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I like it. I'm slowly building up a collection of games I can pick up and play if I'm traveling or when I'm watching something on TV. Baseball, Injustice, stuff like that.

I think it's a vast improvement on the PSP.

    ReplyDelete
  26. The quacks on ESPN because they were discussing Fisher and mentioned Kidd's "successful" transition.

    ReplyDelete
  27. They are selling a PS4/Vita combo bundle for like $550 I think later this month.

    ReplyDelete
  28. He always played nice with the media, so he has plenty of goodwill to spend with the ESPN's and yahoo sports of the world.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Let's Go Rangers!

    ReplyDelete
  30. Wife beaters are well-respected people.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Someone actually put him in 3rd place on their NBA coach of the year ballot.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Yeah, buying the Vita was an advance plan on getting a PS4 eventually. I still have some PS3 games I want to beat first, and I'm planning on using the PS3 for trade-in on the PS4.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hopefully the A's win again.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I have a Yellow lighted PS3 that I'm debating on sending in for repair for $80.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Who was number one on their list: Eric Spoelstra?

    ReplyDelete
  36. It's not looking good for your heroes right now. Although, the Yankees have been shitting the bed the last couple weeks. I wouldn't put it past them to blow the (now) 4-1 lead.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'm ready. And with no favorite (Again, FUCK YOU SHARKS.), I can just enjoy the game.

i posted an item that said the rollins heel turn had been planned for about 4 weeks, yet wasn't written into the raw script (the cena/kane match was the final segment)

    ReplyDelete
  40. did you just turn heel?

Who did you piss off to keep getting downvoted.....not that it matters.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Heat in 6 games. They lose tonight and win 4 out of the next 5

    ReplyDelete
  45. I'm in a baseball movie watching mood. Which one should I watch later tonight...Moneyball or Major League? Seen both multiple times. Hmm.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Your_Favourite_Buck_NastyJune 4, 2014 at 6:23 PM

the old "monday night raw" model, i see

    ReplyDelete
  47. Game 1 tomorrow....

    ReplyDelete
  48. Who did any of us piss off to get the downvotes? I swear it's a random pick every day.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Naked Gun. It passes as a baseball movie

    ReplyDelete
  50. Remember how Stranger was talking shit about Bayless' mama?

    ReplyDelete
  51. fcuk. Man, the days just all run together.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Moneyball.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Tuesday and Wednesday are garbage.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I haven't seen Moneyball, but I see the Blu-Ray on sale at Best Buy all the time. Worth picking up?

    ReplyDelete
  55. What's up bud? Dog any better?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Oh yes. GREAT baseball movie.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Tough call. Might have to coin flip it, there's no way to decide between the two.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:25 PM

It's been a very nice couple of weeks here, weather wise.

    That is all.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I could see a Heat play going like this -

Erik Spoelstra draws out a complex play.

Lebron whispers in Chalmers' ear: "Just inbound it to me."

Lebron makes a jump shoot over two defenders.

Spoelstra: That's how you ad lib! Way to realize the defense smelt it out and change it on the fly!

    ReplyDelete
  60. She's better

    Gotta exam next week,medieval.

Kojima lost the NWA title to Conway.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Amen. Can't remember anything eventful happening on a Tuesday in the springtime. Just a craptastic day

    ReplyDelete
  62. I don't understand Baseball,but I enjoyed.

    ReplyDelete
  63. That's good to hear.

Another exam?! Seems like you have a lot of them. Yeah I saw Conway won it back, ugh. The NWA/NJPW working agreement has been bad.

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm going to have to agree with my esteemed colleague here.

Although, I quite enjoy watching the cable censored version of Major League for some reason. "Strike this mother (pause) out!"

    ReplyDelete
  65. Someone who hates Nas, I guess.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The Heat actually run a lot of complex sets. It's not just Wade and Lebron going 1 on 5 like it used to be. I think they respect him enough now to run the stuff instead of going on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  67. You don't understand baseball? I don't understand this.

    ReplyDelete
  68. I'm surprised Jay Z didn't try coaching the team. I guess by then he'd already decided to ruin sports in another way.

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yeah, another one. That's the first stage,I'll get another ones in july.

NWA/NJPW has been a mess,I like Tharpe but he needs to bring better wrestlers, how about Colt Cab....

    ReplyDelete
  70. Why can't he go away? Who keeps propping this dude up as someone important in 2014?

    ReplyDelete
  71. I'd prefer the Kings win because Gaborik's awesome.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Have you ever thought of reviewing ROH shows?you look like a guy that watches regularly.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:28 PM

Hey, I need a i-thing to use an "app", right?

    ReplyDelete
  74. You mean porn?

    ReplyDelete
  75. GO CAOLINA! DEFEAT OPPOSING SPORTSBALL TEAM!

    ReplyDelete
  76. Not a popular sport in here.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Um, Baseball's not exactly huge in Brazil, last I checked.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I haven't watched ROH regularly since 2008

    ReplyDelete
  79. Sigh. I KNOW THAT! No one has a sense of humor and/or whimsy here tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  80. It's acceptable for a TV edit. But I own the DVDs for when I want to see the real thing.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Easiest call ever. Major league

    ReplyDelete
  82. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:29 PM

    No, seriously.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I tried hockey during it's mid-90s heyday. Liked the intensity of the Red Wings-Avs rivalry but could never get into it full-time

    ReplyDelete
  84. Oh, I do, too. I watch it pretty frequently, too. I'm just saying, I don't get frustrated with Major League on TV like I do with other movies.

    ReplyDelete
  85. You,Farva,Bayless and Hoss should form the BoD's Senior Citizen Club.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Stranger in the AlpsJune 4, 2014 at 6:30 PM

I guess that makes you the full time teacher who's too drunk to come out of the teacher's lounge.

    ReplyDelete
  87. And now for the opposing viewpoint...

    ReplyDelete
  88. Last year's cup was one that would've made you a fan again. I don't think this one will be worth really watching.

    ReplyDelete
  89. (sigh... ) Save it for the NFL, when Carolina has a good team.

    ReplyDelete
  90. LOL... especially since I think I am older than all of them except Hoss

    ReplyDelete
  91. Terrible book. The movie stinks. The premise is false.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:31 PM

For serious? I can like to iTunes or whatever and install on a Windows PC?

    ReplyDelete
  93. There is a Carolina hockey team?

    ReplyDelete
  94. I actually watched the last few minutes of the Blackhawks win. IIRC, they scored two goals in the last two minutes or something like that right? Very exciting contest, of what I watched.

    ReplyDelete
  95. That is a rough sentence to get through. But yes you can create a podcast on a Windows computer and get it into iTunes

    ReplyDelete
  96. Hurricanes. They weren't as awful as I thought they were, but they missed the playoffs. It's almost as bad as an NBA team missing the playoffs in the East.

    ReplyDelete
  97. If could recommend a show,I would suggest PWG's Mystery Vortex 2,some nice matches and a fun intergender main event for the PWG title.

    ReplyDelete
  98. PWG is pretty fun.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:33 PM

    Yeah, I forgot a word or 2.

That's not what I mean. I mean "apps"

..nevermind, I have no idea how to get this across properly. I'll just have to continue my research.

    ReplyDelete
  100. North Carolina or South Carolina? I legit had no idea

    ReplyDelete
  101. I put a really large sum on the Heat+120 for the series. If they don't win, it's going to be hard for me to gamble for a while. If they win, I'm throwing a party and everyone's invited.

    ReplyDelete
  102. You can listen to podcasts on your computer, using iTunes without needing a device, yes.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Raleigh, NC. They won the Cup back in 2006.

    ReplyDelete
  104. You and Abeyance1 should form a tag team being two of the younger guys here...oh yeah you already did and it crumbled like a loaf of cheap bread

    ReplyDelete
  105. Spurs are favorite right? Not a bad gamble at all

    ReplyDelete
  106. ANYONE but Conway, Wes Brisco, and Big Daddy Yum Yum

    ReplyDelete
  107. Damn... shows what I know... and how popular they are.

    ReplyDelete
  108. I thought it was a great movie.

    ReplyDelete
  109. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:35 PM

I'm off podcasts now. I already learned that.

I really though that I was making sense here, but you all seem to think that I'm not.

    Thank you for your time.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Adam Cole is way better there,he can flex his comedy skills.

    ReplyDelete
  111. So got the Brewers-Twins game on one tv and the Cup Finals on the other. Don't really "like" either team, but going to try to just enjoy good finals hockey regardless and be impartial.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Well,call Johnny Gargano.

    ReplyDelete
  113. You're wondering about using apps on a computer?

    ReplyDelete
  114. I hate it so much. Such bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  115. If you are an Oakland fan I can see why you are not a fan of Moneyball

    ReplyDelete
  116. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:38 PM

Yes. I'm pretty sure that I need a thingy, but I was wrong about podcasts, so worth asking.

Note that I am not asking about podcasts, which I am now aware that i can listen to, or WATCH (getthefuckouttatown) on a PC.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Ah, yeah, that explains it. I was about to ask...

    ReplyDelete
  118. A lot of people think Spurs should have won last year + they are better this year = they will win. However, Wade wasn't fully healthy last year. In fact, Spurs outscored the Heat by like 50 when he was on the court. Parker is a huge question mark. Sprained ankles don't take 4 days to heal, so he'll be playing with a numbed ankle.

    ReplyDelete
  119. So apparently G1 climax finals are gonna be in a Stadium.

    ReplyDelete
  120. I love both, 42 and 61 are regular watches of mine as well.

    ReplyDelete
  121. They have great tag team names.

    ReplyDelete
  122. I love the movie, well worth it in my opinion.

    ReplyDelete
  123. I'd like hockey more if I ever actually played it. Hard to get into a sport you've never participated in.

    ReplyDelete
  124. Ah, yes, for the most part, apps are meant for mobile devices. Although the new Windows operating system has more of an "app" feel with its home screen.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:39 PM

    You changed your answer.

    ReplyDelete
  126. They just ran their last show there when Styles retained over Okada.

    ReplyDelete
  127. It also has a "punch yourself in the dick all day" feel if you use it regularly

    ReplyDelete
  128. Spurs aren't a one or two person team so the Parker injury won't affect much. The question is how much gas does LeBron have to go at them cause the Heat's beat is turrible

    ReplyDelete
  129. No,it's another.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Yeah, there's a lot of trannies there I heard and they don't like baseball too much.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Well, I was trying not to scare him away!

    ReplyDelete
  132. Boy do I hate windows 8

    ReplyDelete
  133. That tranny thing is a lie.Where you took that from?

    ReplyDelete
  134. Probably part of why I like it so much, played from 3 years old until I was 18.

    ReplyDelete
  135. I don't get the hate for 8. I just surf the web but still

    ReplyDelete
  136. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:41 PM

Oh. I missed it on first go-round then.

    ReplyDelete
  137. "I'm just bieng honest!" /spoiledbratnomannershavingmillenial

    ReplyDelete
  138. I mean Patty Mills is a great PG too. Still, I rather have a healthy Parker out there if I were the Spurs.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Ah, you are correct. Seibu Dome looks awesome from the pictures.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Yeah, I go straight to the desktop and ignore the other shit. Doing it like that, I have no problems.

    ReplyDelete
  141. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:42 PM

No, I'm cool with Windows. I've been on Windows since 286.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Best Detective on the Law and Order Franchise? Mine is Robert Goren.

    ReplyDelete
  143. It's ability to get in the lane got them by Dallas. The Heat don't have a rim protector so that could turn out to be huge.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Let's hope they stack that card.

    Ishii or Ibushi winning please.

    ReplyDelete
  145. Elliot Stabler.

    ReplyDelete
  146. They act like the team won 5 out of 6 al west belts because Billy Beane invented using obp etc and found all these scrappy bargain basement players. Especially the book. That's such a fake storyline about that team

    ReplyDelete
  147. No, Stabler is the one most likely to snap and kill someone.

    ReplyDelete
  148. That movie is Thailand.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Ishii winning it would make the place go bananas.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Anyone catch Chikara "You Only Live Twice" over the weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  151. He's my favorite along Fin.

    ReplyDelete
  152. I found an app in 8.1 to get the classic start menu back so it's gravy for me.

    ReplyDelete
  153. lol you call them belts, too?

    ReplyDelete
  154. So Justin Bieber has made tons of racist comments when he was 14, and they are all coming out now. I swear, there's something fishy about this stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  155. I downloaded,gonna watch this weekend.

    ReplyDelete
  156. Sterling did it first!

    ReplyDelete
  157. Munch=conspiracy theorist.

    ReplyDelete
  158. Damn the man! Save the Empire!

    ReplyDelete
  159. Yes. I know. That's what makes him fun.

    ReplyDelete
  160. And then winning the IWGP title, book it Jado & Gedo, wanna redeem yourselfs of the Gracie Stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  161. Always favored Briscoe and the black guy. Liked that they kept a sense of humor and didn't take it all so seriously. Goren just became too much in the later seasons.

    ReplyDelete
  162. The old dude for sure

    ReplyDelete
  163. Ishii beating AJ for the belt would cause a HUGE ovation.

    ReplyDelete
  164. The fatter he got the worse he got. I definitely prefer him in the earlier seasons.

Brisco and whatever Jesse L. martins characters name were me favorite from the original Law and order.

    ReplyDelete
  165. 1-Stabler
    2-Fin
    3-Briscoe
    4-Kragen
    5-Olivia

    ReplyDelete
  166. I know they changed the format but is it still 2-3-2 for this year?

    ReplyDelete
  167. The Sterling stuff amazes me. Guy is secretly recorded making racist remarks, the league bans him and forces him to sell, now he is $2 BILLION richer. Looks like he won.

    ReplyDelete
  168. Olivia has been awful this season.

    ReplyDelete
  169. Porn and the news

    ReplyDelete
  170. Ishii hits the brainbuster 1..2.no,he then goes "fuck you" mode SSD 1..2..3,New champion!

    ReplyDelete
  171. SHOCKED. He seems like such a great person.

    ReplyDelete
  172. But he doesn't own the glorious Clippers anymore . . .

    ReplyDelete
  173. This year-old laptop has Windows 8, I just put the Desktop on the "Start Menu" and do all my stuff off of there. I don't mind the "app" feel it has, just prefer the "older school" feel of a good Desktop.

    ReplyDelete
  174. So it'll be over by September, right?

    ReplyDelete
  175. Olivia worked because she had Elliot with him,he was her perfect foil.

    ReplyDelete
  176. They should make him give back the 2 billion. The dude is loaded as hell and the one girl he chooses as his main mistress looks like an alien.

    ReplyDelete
  177. They're trying to give her emotional storylines and it's annoying as hell.

    ReplyDelete
  178. *facepalm*

    ReplyDelete
  179. Mister_E_LogdriverJune 4, 2014 at 6:50 PM

I'm pretty sure that you already know that.

I was on computers early. My Dad had me coding in BASIC when I was like 8 or 9.

    ReplyDelete
  180. Didn't the wife legally wrangle the money away?

    ReplyDelete
  181. Dude wants his team. Without that team, my guess is he dies in the next few months.
