No shock that they finally released one. Should probably lead to him making his WWE debut around the same time, which not coincidentally is when they're loading up the September PPV for Network renewals. I'm not entirely sure what's even left unreleased at this point, but there's probably a bunch of Nitro matches and stuff like the Cactus Jack match at Beach Blast still needing release.
That Beach Blast match against Cactus was on the first Foley set.
ReplyDeleteFinally.
ReplyDeleteROOOOOOOSSSSSSSSS CAAAAAAN
ReplyDeleteIt's Stings 1st WWE DVD, why wouldn't they have tons of his biggest matches? Sure a bunch of them are already released but from a business standpoint the smart money's on just releasing a greatest hits version irregardless if they've been released before or not.
ReplyDeleteYeah but doesn't Foley pop up on the screen through parts of it?
ReplyDeleteGenius, they do the greatest hits first, so the documentary follow up can feature any/all of his future WWE content.
ReplyDeleteHow many matches with muta or Vader are unreleased? I imagine a lot.
ReplyDeleteYou might be right, but I don't remember that. I'm not digging it out and finding out. I have the Network.
ReplyDeleteVader: The White Castle of Fear Strap match is still MIA as far as I can remember as is their Slamboree 1994 encounter. I think they had a match prior to the GAB 92 title change on WCW Saturday Night as well.
ReplyDeleteMuta: I think the GAB 89 match is scheduled for inclusion on the upcoming GAB set, and I think that'll be the first Sting / Muta match to make it to WWE DVD.
He had a match with Muta as well at the 91 WCW/Japan supershow, but im not really sure who owns the rights to those shows
ReplyDeleteNOT THE BEES!!
ReplyDeleteThe slamboree match is on the best of the 90s DVD.
ReplyDeleteAnd the falls count anywhere match with cactus is on two of Mick's sets.
The got the Steiners tag match from the first NjPW/WCW show on the tag teams DVD the released in 2009(?), so they must own the rights, right?
ReplyDeleteI remember Sting/Muta v the Steiners from the second Japan show.
Oh ok I wasent sure. I noticed they didnt add any of them on the Network so I had no clue
ReplyDeleteI bet you "don't care if you never get back" from the ol' ballgame, too...
ReplyDeleteIf Sting does show up in the WWE, they've got to team him up with Seth Rollins.
ReplyDeleteWould prefer both but nice to see him get his due at last and do look forward to him on a documentary.
ReplyDeleteIrregardless?
ReplyDeleteFUCKING FINALLY.
ReplyDeleteIregaurdless still isn't a word.
ReplyDeleteAnd the Falls Count Anywhere set
ReplyDeleteLong overdue. And, yeah, I imagine this would put him in angle of some sort, perhaps to wrestle in October or November, to try to get every last renewal possible.
ReplyDeleteSting/Luger vs. Steiners from SuperBrawl I? Has that one been on any DVDs?
ReplyDeleteRise and Fall of WCW.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tag match of all time, btw
Sting/Muta from Japan is on the Greatest High Flyers DVD
ReplyDeleteSting and Luger defending against the Steiners on Worldwide. I'd forgotten about this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HGHTSMwLM24
ReplyDeleteIs that triangle match with Luger and Flair from Starrcade '95 on any sets?
ReplyDeleteI think Sting Muta from Starrcade 89 is on the best of Starrcade DVD
