Match of the Day

Here is a great match between two excellent tag teams, The Rockers and the Hart Foundation from the November 25th, 1989 Madison Square Garden show.

  1. I was expecting the Mach V.

  2. I have an match of the day recommendation in the near future: Nick Bockwinkel vs.Curt Hennig. In my opinion, it's the most underrated 80s match ever. It's a 60-minute display on amazingly sound technical wrestling. Both had great fundamentals, were as smooth as glass in the ring, knew how to sell as convincingly as possible, and knew how use their roles to articulate the "young, athletic kid vs. the savvy veteran" story. Anything with Bockwinkel would be great if you could find it. He's one of the best workers ever.

  3. Fail. This match is not at Mach speed.

  4. Just looked at the full card for this show on History of WWE, what a craptacular event, with a main match of Duggan-Savage. I don't believe this is one of the MSG cards I actually went to, as I would be focused on Survivor Series in November instead.

Tito Santana and Bad News Brown going 15 minutes might have been fun. Wonder if I have this somewhere on VHS...

  5. Cosign. And, Bockwinkel does not get nearly the love or credit he deserves, imo.

  6. Vehemently agree. He was super underrated in the ring. Just as good as Flair, if not better.

  7. I'm willing to bet Nick still has most, if not all of his money.
