I mean Alberto Del Rio being in is excuable but Punk is just absurd. There is no way they didn't have ample time to delete him and adjust the story mode.
I'm fairly certain there's a difference between an attorney sending a letter and an actual lawsuit. I mean, plenty of times, if you want something done, you have to use a lawyer to quicken the process, request info or money, and warn of legal action. Either way, I fear for AJ's future.
Lots of sticky situations with contracts with WWE. Punk, Mysterio, ADR...it's not all WWE's fault or anything, but the legal department definitely needs to get their act together. Also, four different parties are suing WWE for misleading and false information in regards to the network deal and stock price--I'm not saying they have a case, but there might be some type of loophole available to exploit if four different parties are suing over the same thing.
It doesn't sound like a lawsuit, he's just formally telling them that he believes they owe him money. Now they'll talk about it, and then maybe a lawsuit, who knows?
This is why we need to limit posting privileges. Kyle gets the headline wrong, spells Wrestlemania wrong and doesn't get that one probably has nothing to do with the other.
Not necessarily a lawsuit, as others have suggested. While I truly believe CM Punk has wrestled his last match, there have been bridges salted and burned more thoroughly than the bridge between Punk and the WWE that were repaired (Hogan, Sable, et. al.) so I guess you could never say never.
TJ: Since I don't see a nightly discussion thread, I was pondering an idea on the way to pick up my wife from work this evening. We know that Ronda Rousey has been involved on the peripheral of the WWE for awhile now, showing up for Stephanie McMahon's ALS ice bucket challenge and also revealing a quasi-fandom in the form of her Four Horsemen tribute group. The company obviously doesn't openly acknowledge the UFC as competition, and have no qualms about referencing Brock as a UFC champion...
I could think of far worse ideas in terms of publicity for the company to throw a boatload of cash at Rousey to secure a deal to perform at WrestleMania, perhaps against Paige or (Insert Divas Champion Here) in a showdown akin to the Mayweather-Big Show match from years past. Only more aesthetically pleasing.
Read more carefully about exactly what happened, don't believe what is texted to you etc.
The not coming back thing was a joke about the people who were insisting (and still are insisting on some pages of the Internet.) That Punk would be back at every show.
Well, I was more or less thinking of a one-off deal, at least until her days of competing in the UFC are over. If I understand her correctly, going into wrestling is something she's actually considered in the past, and once her UFC reign comes to an end, it wouldn't be a bad pay day since she brings name value with her.
You're right. This was a display of sloppy posting.
I hold my self to higher standard than this and will ensure that, should I make future posts, they strive to a much higher level of quality and validity.
If he doesn't get him in the first 3 rounds Mayweather will get the win. Then Pacquiao will give him a match at a weight he'll have to kill himself to make and beat him easier than Floyd did and the fans will rage on.
Sounds mainly that Punk's trying to tie up loose ends; IE get the royalty cash now so he doesn't have to dick around waiting for the WWE to pay him, which may take hell and ever depending on how bitter they are at Punk for leaving like he did.
The thing is, she's so head and shoulders above everyone in women's MMA that I don't think there's a person who could suspend disbelief that any Diva on the roster, even the good ones, could hang with her kayfabe wise. Rousey's opponents train for months on end to get their arm snapped in under 10 seconds with the bone sticking out, and she would probably have to bump for a Bella?
As he should. Seriously he left 9 months ago, how is it it excusable not to delete his character from the game?
ReplyDeleteKyle......right when I was about to got to sleep.
ReplyDeleteYeah, found it odd he was in the game as well.
ReplyDeleteI mean Alberto Del Rio being in is excuable but Punk is just absurd. There is no way they didn't have ample time to delete him and adjust the story mode.
ReplyDeleteIf anything the story of the game should be post WM if Bryan didn't get hurt.
ReplyDeleteI can't take it seriously when the next paragraph on that page discusses Dixie's kayfabe injuries...
ReplyDeleteIIRC, RVD was in SVR '11 at the same time he was in TNA.
ReplyDeleteHe can never get ROOOOYYAAAALLL(ties)
ReplyDelete*hangs head*
Sorry about that :p
ReplyDeleteMaybe the CM Punk story is kayfabbing us.
ReplyDeleteShouldn't it be ROOOOYYAAAALLL(tie)S
ReplyDeleteThe only question now is, when does the DVD "The Self-Destruction of CM Punk" come out?
ReplyDeleteHe owns the CM Punk name so they may have to change the title.

This isn't a lawsuit, Kyle.
ReplyDeleteAlso, people do business while engaging in lawsuits all the time.
"Punk, you can have free WWE Network FOR LIFE. Plus, we'll put AJ over Steph clean on RAW."
ReplyDeleteYeah if Sable came back after her lawsuit, anything is possible.
ReplyDeleteKyle really needs to fix the headline of this. It's very misleading.
ReplyDeleteI still don't foresee Punk at WM31, though.
ReplyDeletePlease change the headline.
ReplyDeleteAh, but did he legally change his name to CM Punk?
ReplyDeleteAnd jesse Ventura!
ReplyDeleteSo is this the reason why hhh caved to cena's demand for his rematch at night of champions?
ReplyDeletePETULANT CHILD!
ReplyDeleteThat's Terry Garvin's music!
ReplyDeleteI........do.......not care.
ReplyDelete*goes back to watching Nitro*
Did people think he was really coming back to begin with?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't sound like a lawsuit, he's just formally telling them that he believes they owe him money. Now they'll talk about it, and then maybe a lawsuit, who knows?

He is not suing the WWE, either.
ReplyDeleteIs there anyway you change the headline?
ReplyDeleteI can only change what I post.
ReplyDeleteSoooo...a non issue.
ReplyDeleteIf Mae Young were still alive, she'd call Dixie a pussy.
ReplyDeleteJust some stuff over royalties and Punk's lawyers letting the WWE know they do not want then using his likeness to get money.
ReplyDeleteMeltzer reported that the WWE2K15 roster was actually finalized before he quit, even though it was not announced to the public until a few weeks ago
Basically
ReplyDeleteThe only problem with Rousey ever coming to the WWE is the way they treated the Divas Division.
ReplyDeletePlus, why leave the somewhat cushy UFC schedule for the WWE schedule. Unless she can secure herself a Brock Lesnar deal.
Yeah, I figured it was something like that.
ReplyDeleteTremendous.
ReplyDeleteI changed it.
ReplyDeleteI heard from a friend about his lawsuit and thought the article verified the claim.
I made an over zealous assumption.
Apologies to all.
Clearly I fucked up.
ReplyDeleteRead more carefully about exactly what happened, don't believe what is texted to you etc.

Cool, thanks man.
ReplyDeleteNo worries.
ReplyDeleteSometimes Newz sites make something out of nothing in the Observer and blow it out of proportion
Threadjack: Bayless, I'm watching Adrien Broner do mitt work on a youtube video. Dude has insane speed but no movement. Do you think he's overrated?
ReplyDeleteWell, I was more or less thinking of a one-off deal, at least until her days of competing in the UFC are over. If I understand her correctly, going into wrestling is something she's actually considered in the past, and once her UFC reign comes to an end, it wouldn't be a bad pay day since she brings name value with her.
ReplyDeleteNot the biggest Broner fan so yeah I think he is overrated
ReplyDeleteYeah...but I like to think I'm usually better then this.
ReplyDeleteIndignant clicks are still cash money to the boss man.
ReplyDeleteThe more we screw up, the more Scott likes it.
I do it too sometimes. No big deal.
ReplyDeleteYou're right. This was a display of sloppy posting.
ReplyDeleteI hold my self to higher standard than this and will ensure that, should I make future posts, they strive to a much higher level of quality and validity.
Sorry for any inconvenience.
I like how the WBO just made up some International title after his last fight and gave it to him.
ReplyDeleteHey, you admitted your mistake. We've had issues with people who can't even do that.
ReplyDeleteHis last Showtime fight, I forget who he fought, I came away totally unimpressed.
ReplyDeleteHe is like a guy who tries to carry himself like he is a star but is really above average
Try using a car.
ReplyDeleteThey put him in against bums until he got to Maidana.
ReplyDeleteI like Maidana. But can't see him beating mayweather this time either
ReplyDeleteIf he doesn't get him in the first 3 rounds Mayweather will get the win. Then Pacquiao will give him a match at a weight he'll have to kill himself to make and beat him easier than Floyd did and the fans will rage on.
ReplyDeleteHow about Cotto taking the rest of the year off?
ReplyDeleteSounds mainly that Punk's trying to tie up loose ends; IE get the royalty cash now so he doesn't have to dick around waiting for the WWE to pay him, which may take hell and ever depending on how bitter they are at Punk for leaving like he did.
ReplyDeleteIIRC, when he re-signed back in 2011, Punk managed to avoid giving the WWE full ownership of the cm punk name.
ReplyDeleteI read Reddit too.
ReplyDeleteUpvoted for Farva.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe he spelt WM wrong.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows it's WRRRRRAAAASSSLLLLEMANIIAAAAAA
You're not the only one who can get sloppy in this thread!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm 2K, I'm not going to delete him and I'll fork over whatever to keep him in, because I'm pretty sure he's one of the most popular guys to use.
ReplyDelete
