TNA Impact is tonight at 9pm. Matches include:
Havok vs. Gail Kim for the TNA Knockouts Title
Mr. Anderson vs. MVP
Plus, Austin Aries will announce which title he will challenge for as the winner of last week's "Gold Rush" tournament.
Also, the NL Wild Card game is tonight with the San Francisco Giants trotting out their ace Madison Bumgarner in Pittsburgh to face the Pirates and Edison Volquez. That game starts at 8:07pm EST on ESPN.
In the NBA, ESPN's Kevin Arnovitz reported that in order to save time, a few league officials have discussed taking away a free throw and instead giving a player one shot worth two points and that would change to three points if they got followed while committing a three-point shot. You can read about that in the link below.

Evening.
ReplyDeleteTag title match isn't tonight. The announcement of what type of match it will be is. The title match is next week.
ReplyDeleteYou hopping on the GFW bandwagon with me?
ReplyDeleteMy allegiance is to NJPW.
ReplyDeleteNJPW/GFW combination.
ReplyDeleteHere's a nice article debating how GFW is gonna be, is it another promotion or a new NWA.
ReplyDeleteBlossom series finale tonight at 10 on the Hub.
ReplyDeleteWhattaya say fellas.
ReplyDeleteTNA is gonna d..........
ReplyDeleteTNA is getting the D? Oh my.
ReplyDeleteThat's fucking stupid. Do something to change the late game timeout set up or if they really do sell jersey space like in Europe then ditch a commercial break. Awful idea nba
ReplyDeleteDoes ajpw still exist?
ReplyDeleteTNA is gonna DIE.
ReplyDeleteAhem, but it's dying along NOAH. Meanwhile Dragon Gate and DDT are taking over their spots.
ReplyDeleteSo lashley is still the champ on TV?
ReplyDeleteI always liked NJPW much better I'm glad they won out
ReplyDeleteQuestion:
ReplyDeleteA music perfect for having sex?
Rocket Queen- Guns n' Roses.
@ Kid & Spud, did either of you see the link I posted to the translated Minoru Suzuki interview yesterday? I can repost it if you didn't.
ReplyDeleteWatching Unforgiven '98 on the Network. After the team of Faarooq, Shamrock and Blackman beat The Nation in the opener, there's an obvious edit and the show jumps right to Stone Cold's entrance for a promo. There's only like 2-second gap between Faarooq's post-match interview at ringside and Stone Cold's music, so I know the Network cut something out. Anybody remember what it was?
ReplyDeleteYears ago they where dying, NOAH had KENTA in their plate but never gave him the right push. AJPW was holding it's legs with Mutoh as the boss.
ReplyDeleteThis Giants/Pirates game following the Royals/A's game from last night is like Triple H/Orton trying to follow Michaels/Taker at Mania 25.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOUpaSXvEmo
ReplyDeleteI've always hated listening to music during sex but my gf has basically a sex mix tape and I laugh anytime I hear songs the in regular time. Lots of black keys and other bands I don't know.
ReplyDeleteI'm doing my mix, so I can do this with my girlfriend, she's really a rock 'n roll fan.
ReplyDeleteI was praying all day for the giants charter to crash so obviously there is no god.
ReplyDeleteLet's at least hope the right team wins this game.
ReplyDeleteBlack keys seems to be work. I wish I knew the other bands. I only listen to rap music, and mostly rap music from 92-04
ReplyDeleteI'm getting into N.W.A.
ReplyDeleteYawn!
ReplyDeleteI didn't saw.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that. I don't see the point unless there's roommates and you don't want them to hear the sex going on.
ReplyDeleteEvening, Mike.
ReplyDelete"Dog Shit" by ODB.
ReplyDeleteHe should tag along with Brock Lesnar.
ReplyDeleteGiants win the world series. 99.8% of the bay area celebrates. Oakland A's move to Vegas and everyone thinks its an expansion. I grow to hate the country even more
ReplyDeleteTotally. If you gotta cover up some noise, cool. But as a mood setting shit IMO its corny, but I'm not big on drawn out love making with all the bells and whistles. I like to fuck and move on with the day
ReplyDeleteEvening buddy
ReplyDeleteThanks for the advice last week.
ReplyDeleteComo esta, beeches!
ReplyDeleteTonight's top story, the rivers run red with Posey's blood.
BTW dude, that's kinda gay that you're making a sex mix tape for your gf. Come on dude, you're not even an American. Don't be such a pussy
ReplyDeleteFantasy booking mode- ACTIVATE
ReplyDeleteHere's what I would do with the Wyatt family.
I thought about betting money on the giants so I could buy a loss or at least get some cash for my !misery but I've been such a hater today I couldn't even do that
ReplyDeleteAnyone see the guidelines laid out for a possible quicker pace for the baseballs next season?
ReplyDeleteHope tonight's game is just as entertaining. #KCWinsLOL #RiseAboveMediocrity
ReplyDeleteFlight of the Valkyries.
ReplyDeleteYou guys remember a show WWE had called "From the Vault"? They'd talk about a classic match and then show it. I have fond memories of that show because it was the first time I saw Shawn/Mankind from Mind Games and it was amazing.
ReplyDeleteEl Stranger es loco en la cabasa.
ReplyDeleteKinda sorta what I want to bring to the blog with the daily video.
ReplyDeleteI enjoy Taco Cabana also.
ReplyDeleteOh you mean your daily murderer endorsement!
ReplyDelete*sigh*
ReplyDeleteYes.
Fascinating in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteCut the games down to 7 innings?
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome. It's going well I assume?
ReplyDeleteNot sure why. Longer games = greater beer sales.
ReplyDeleteWas it a roundtable show or a talking head show with buildup like the Wrestlemania one on the Network?
ReplyDeleteRemember when MVP and Kennedy were being proclaimed future WWE champions?
ReplyDeleteLimiting non-pitching change visits to three a game. Hitter's have to leave one foot in the batter's box throughout the at-bat unless there's a wild pitch/passed ball/foul ball. NO PITCH INTENTIONAL WALKS.
ReplyDeleteTalking head show like the one on the network. I remember it airing around the same time as WWE Confidential.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the theme music of Meng.
ReplyDeleteSo you'd just say, "We're walking him" and the guy takes his base? I can get with that.
ReplyDeleteFeuding with the Brothers of Destruction. I for sure thought MVP was a future champ. Never saw that in Kennedy.
ReplyDeleteMVP had a decent enough career. Fuck Kennedy.
ReplyDeleteSo now that you've had a day to recover I can properly Lorde this over you
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlcIKh6sBtc
Unforgiven '98: Owen Hart is in the ring, Chyna is "hanging on for her life" from a cage suspended above the ring. Kinda eerie.
ReplyDeleteDueling Banjos
ReplyDelete/thread
Kennedy
ReplyDeleteFantasy booking mode time:
ReplyDeleteSo, Bray beats Cena at WM XXX clean, Cena asks for a rematch at extreme rules and gets it. Bray beats him again. Bray says he just exposed the hero as only a man, but his goal is not over. He now wants to chase the one who made him "The machine", aka The corporate sphere.
Bray and his goons start taking new members saying he's ready for the war, meanwhile Bryan vacates the title due his injury. At MITB the Harper and Rowan win the tag belts, Bray goes to the WWE title match but loses to Cena. Bray then challenges Cena at SS, saying it's time for his plan to come true, he beats John in a LMS and takes the title hostage. For months, all the faces try to beat him, The authority tries to beat him too but nothing can break The Wyatts, HHH then is forced to make a deal with the only man that has come close to beat Bray, Daniel Bryan. Bryan returns and challenges Bray at WM XXXI and takes the title away from the Wyatts.
I know, it's shitty booking.
They stop selling beer at Petco after the stretch! Even if the game goes extra innings. I always bring a flask in case
ReplyDeleteHmmm...can't remember, especially from that time period. I wouldn't mind seeing WWE Confidential get rebooted on the Network.
ReplyDeleteI hate the idea of no pitch intentional walks. If only because you have that rare one that the pitcher doesn't quite locate and the batter swings at a pitch and pokes into the opposite field for a double.
ReplyDeleteI thought MVP had all the tools. He was becoming one of my favorites when he left. Kennedy, however, always came across as a wannabe Rock. He was on Miz levels of hatred from me back then.
ReplyDeleteYeah MVP had what I'd call a worthwhile WWE career. Long reigning US champ and a memorable feud with Matt Hardy. There seemed to be potential for more though.
ReplyDeleteAham, I'm still bff with Isis and Anna says she loves me.
ReplyDeleteIf there's one sport that needs a massive cutdown on time, it's NASCAR. They should consider drastic changes, like cutting the races by one-third and greatly reducing the schedule. The sport is just ready-made for fan burnout.
ReplyDeleteI remember one time in the Mike Greenwell days that he was being intentionally walked, and swung at one that got close....but he fouled it off. It was the only time I personally saw that.
ReplyDeleteSo during Night Of Champions, they made it seem like they broke into the stream with a BREAKING NEWS report about the Reigns injury. Is this true?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to shove George Brett's pine tar covered bat up her shitty little cunt!
ReplyDeleteI love you more.
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm straight.
ReplyDeleteAlso: HHH-Jericho following Rock-Hogan at Wrestlemania X8.
ReplyDeletePoor Triple H. Always having to follow matches that steal the show.
No, it was something they showed the day before or whatever day it was. By the time the PPV aired, it was already reported
ReplyDeleteKind of.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm glad to see you pulled through intact.
ReplyDelete...for now.
ReplyDeleteHe was a top level talker, but an average worker. He got as far as he could in WWE. He had a decent run in Japan, too. He's worked at several Wrestlemanias & several Tokyo Dome shows. Plus he didn't get into the business till late because of jail. He made out better than most.
ReplyDeleteI liked his feud with Matt Hardy, It was fun.
ReplyDeleteShe likes doing it with music.
ReplyDeleteWasn't there a scene in "Mr. Baseball" when Tom Selleck turned his bat around and got a hit during an intentional walk with the handle?
ReplyDeleteHe had a monster push as IC champ in japan.
ReplyDeleteJesus this bitch was born the year I graduated high school
ReplyDeletePablo Sandoval can have a shitty season, but seems to turn it on in the postseason.
ReplyDeleteMiggy Cabrera in 2006 hit a pitch that was supposed to be a part of intentional walk and it ended up being the go-ahead RBI in the 10th inning.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that poor fellow. He never could catch a break in the wrestling biz!
ReplyDeleteCops- the tv show where minorities get assaulted.
ReplyDeleteCarmelo claims the he's the most underrated superstar. Ughhhhh
ReplyDeleteThat losing streak gimmick he had pretty much killed his main event potential, though.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't watching during MVP's time but how did anyone think he'd be a top-level guy in those onesies? He looked like an extra from You Got Served.
ReplyDeleteIf they want to increase interest in NASCAR they should book more some races on proper circuits with proper corners and not just ovals every week.
ReplyDeleteFor whatever reason I ended up the fan of loser sports teams. I know the deal. But last place seasons are easier to eat then playoff heartbreak.
ReplyDeleteStill I've been through this plenty of times. The hardest loss ever for me was game 5 agaisnt the jazz in the 07 NBA playoffs but the A's ones are always pretty ruthless too. I'm not even a fan of the sport, just my team so it's a weirder dynamic with me and baseball.
Has he ever won a playoff round?
ReplyDeleteIt would be more for a torture thing than a sex thing. I could even hire an age appropriate kid to handle the insertion.
ReplyDeleteHis Nuggets made it to the WCF one year.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, I don't think Carmelo is a guy you can build a team around.
He made it to the West Finals once.
ReplyDeleteYou can rebuild anybody into a main-eventer if you decide to do it. Triple H made it back from being buried.
ReplyDeleteHe isn't. I'm so tired of the debate too.
ReplyDeleteI still have a hard time buying Reigns as a top-level guy when he looks like an extra from S.W.A.T.
ReplyDeleteI agree with him. He took teams to the playoffs every year in the wild west. People treat him like he's a garbage player. I heard so many Lakers fans begging LA not to sign him. He definitely doesn't get the respect he's earned
ReplyDeleteHe kinda is.
ReplyDeleteHe is. He's one of the two or three best scorers in the league. Give him the same team Durant has and Melo would be a regular conference-finals type.
ReplyDeleteHe's not a garbage player but he's not underrated IMO. He's properly rated as a great player but not an all timer.
ReplyDeleteWith the Knicks and nuggets.
ReplyDeleteWho's the most improved wrestler of the year?
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna say Charlotte.
Lashley.
ReplyDeleteHe's fine as rated.
ReplyDeleteKUSHIDA and Bad Luck Fale( he's lucky he found his Sting as Nakamura plays the role)
ReplyDeletePeople desperately want to apply sabermeteics to basketball which is beyond ridiculous in a team sport and many of those standards aren't flattering to him. But that is an incorrect rubric so they are wrong.
ReplyDeleteI like how on old shows on the Network when there's a plug for the WCW or WWF hotline, and they have to cover up the phone number with a "No longer active" graphic. I wonder how many people would try to call.
ReplyDeleteFale is 100% being carried by Nakamura. He's exposed pretty badly when he works with other people.
ReplyDeleteWas that "Kennedy being Vince's son" rumor really going to happen. If so, I imagine he would've won the belt at some point.
ReplyDeleteGot heem
ReplyDeleteI've completely stopped looking at advanced metrics. I guess not looked but I'll look and not see it as a definite stat. per for example.
ReplyDeleteI'd go the opposite way and say he's overrated. Has clearly proven by now that he can't be a championship player. Just a ball hog that will likely carry an average team to the playoffs, but that's it, that's all.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, Quik and Daz are two of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteOr being carried by Tanahashi.
ReplyDeleteYeah I totally agree. Just making the playoffs with the nuggets out west was amazing. If he spent his earlier years in the east he would have won tons of playoff series.
ReplyDeleteHow many playoff series would derrick rose have won if he got drafted by a west coast team?
Ethan Carter III is up there
ReplyDeleteHe was going to cash in the briefcase on the Undertaker but tore his tricep (I think) and they subbed in Edge instead. He never really recovered from that.
ReplyDeleteWell that's a proper rating but I'm not sure the majority agrees with you.
ReplyDeleteWell if nothing else at least the LeBron/Melo debate ended.
ReplyDeleteCops - The TV show that routintely gets higher ratings than TNA Impact.
ReplyDeleteIf the TNA title was alive I'd book him for a HTM title run.
ReplyDeleteHe's the third best player from the class behind Bron and Wade.
ReplyDeleteWe're never going to find out for sure because he took the max deal to stay with the Knicks. There's no way they're ever going to assemble a championship calber team now. I agree it'd be interesting to see if he could pull it off for another team for less money...but that's not ever going to happen now.
ReplyDeleteThe basketball talk has me excited. Thursday night basketball will be fun during the live thread.
ReplyDeletePortishead or Sarah McLachlan, depending on the chick.
ReplyDeleteBayless finally got his behind in gear tonight. Proud of you guy
ReplyDeleteExactly.
ReplyDeleteGo Bucs.
ReplyDeleteAnybody know what WWE's plan was for Triple H before he (real-life) hooked up with Stephanie? I always hear people say HHH only became a main-eventer because of Stephanie, but my memory from that time had him already getting pushed up the card to the main event heel while he was still (real-life) with Chyna.
ReplyDeleteAnd what teammates is he supposed to pass to?
ReplyDeleteKane
ReplyDeleteThat's the thing, there's enough world class workers in New Japan right now that they can make anyone they want look good. But when he's in with a Davey Boy Jr. or a Gallows he doesn't really know what he's doing.
ReplyDeleteThat 08-09 team was really solid.
ReplyDeleteCena
ReplyDeleteHuh? He's one of the best scorers in the NBA. He carried tons of nuggets teams to the playoffs in the insane west. If he got drafted by the heat and wade for taken by the nuggets I guarantee you he heat would have been way better pre Lebron and you'd say the same thing about wade (but probably be right)
ReplyDeleteThe Usos.
ReplyDeleteStory goes he only hooked up with Stephanie after they were paired up on-screen. My guess is the McMahon-Helmsley Regime goes on as planned until Unforgiven where Steph joins up with Kurt.
ReplyDeletehe was going to be a lifer. The marriage made him the heir apparent
ReplyDeleteIt's good to have a solid midcard. NJPW also made his finisher a FPR critical, that and The Rainmaker are mdk moves.
ReplyDeleteThey were hell bent on pushing him regardless of crowd reaction. The Stephanie Wedding angle finally made the fans buy into it.
ReplyDeleteEpisode 2 of Gotham was campy as hell
ReplyDeleteI actually thought it was better than the pilot.
ReplyDeleteI'd say Carmelo is a better individual talent than wade, but basketball is a team game. I'd compare it to an emmit smith vs Barry sanders thing. Yeah one guy got all the rings but who was really better?
ReplyDeleteYeah that was the year the made it to the WCF.
ReplyDeleteI have nothing to say. I simply wish to show off my new avatar.
ReplyDeleteThough I can't figure out why it's turning the pic sideways. Stoopid disqus. Hoss smash.
I enjoyed the first episode.
ReplyDeleteAt the time of the draft I would have took Melo first. With it to do all over again would you take Bosh or Melo? I think that's a better discussion
ReplyDeleteThey hooked up because of the story-line with each other. So yeah, there were plans for HHH way before he start dating her.
ReplyDeleteHello, old man.
ReplyDeleteLiterally made me GTS
ReplyDeleteSince we did the Carmelo overrated superstar thing for NBA, lets do it for WWE. Who's the most overrated superstar in the WWE? I say Orton.
ReplyDeleteNor should it. Its outrageous and says everything about the NBA CBA that a guy like Carmelo Anthony can get criticized for making money.
ReplyDeleteI'm not throwing in the towel... and I thought the Penguin was DOIN WORK... but Jada and donal are awful and some of it is a bit over the top and could be played more seriously.
ReplyDeleteWrong!
ReplyDeleteAs I said, he can carry an average team to the playoffs, but that's it, that's all. You basically just agreed with me.
ReplyDeleteI did as well... ths one was not so great IMO
ReplyDeleteWas not a fan of the second episode. Thought it took a big step back from the pilot, but I hope it was a step back to take a few steps forward.
ReplyDeleteLeBron carried an average team to the finals and got swept. Does that make him overrated?
ReplyDelete.ﻼ
ReplyDeleteAka, that year where WWE Raw was in Los Angeles, instead of Denver. Good memories.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed Logue's Bullock on the pilot. I hated the Penguin guy.
ReplyDeleteaverage is being generous
ReplyDeleteHello young man.
ReplyDeleteThat tag match with the jerseys was fun.
ReplyDeleteI hate Jada's character but Donal as Bullock is awesome. Best part of the show. He's at his weakest when he has scenes with her. Falcone is also so much more interesting than Mooney. I pray they phase her out soon.
ReplyDeleteNope, cause he eventually did win a few titles. And before that, yes, he was overrated and an under-achiever, but he eventually broke through. Carmelo hasn't even come close, and he seems to have actually regressed.
ReplyDeleteOrton & Reigns.
ReplyDeletePit or Giants, who wins?
ReplyDeleteCurrent or all time?
ReplyDeleteAll time, I have to say Triple H. I mean, he has the eye-popping resume and I generally love his overall body of work...but like Cornette said, he's never been the guy that makes you money. He's the guy that works with the guy that makes you money.
Either of the other two Wyatts.
ReplyDeleteNot that much, I'm 18 now.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with being the guy that works with the guy that makes money? That's what the top heel is supposed to be. And plus, I bet his merch sales have made a ton of money.
ReplyDeleteHe won the titles with another two superstars with him.
ReplyDeletePut Carmelo with Wade and Bosh and they would've won two titles as well.
He can carry a bad team to the playoffs in the west/ that's amazing and wade and lebron never faced that challenged. Lebron is 9-18 in the playoffs vs West teams. I don't think you realize the talent gap between conferences. Memo played most of his career in the big boy league
ReplyDeleteI have guitars older than you.
ReplyDeleteGo Bucs.
ReplyDeleteoh, and happy birthday, sir.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving the quality of this perfectly legit streams of the MLB games.
ReplyDeleteLebron wasn't overrated at all before he won a title. Basketball is a team game dude.
ReplyDeleteAgain, he did incredible in his first 4-5 years, I absolutely put him over Lebron from around 2004 to 2009. But... Basically nothing since. Gotta improve at some point.
ReplyDeleteAmen. No one gets on Phil Jackson for getting as much as he can while doing the least amount of work
ReplyDeleteOverrated by who exactly? By us, by WWE in kayfabe?
ReplyDeleteFollow-up: At what point did HHH being a top guy go from a deserved spot to a nepotism thing?
ReplyDeleteIt got Kennedy fired. So it's an A+ in my book.
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend left a soaking wet towel on top of my dirty clothes hamper in the bedroom. Could have killed the bitch.
ReplyDeleteWWF1987, do you prefer Devitt or AJ/Anderson as the Bullet Club leader?
ReplyDelete02-04 reign of terror
ReplyDeleteI started to watch it, and just lost interest less than 10 mins in. The guy that wears the fedora (shame on me for not remembering his name or looking it up, especially since he's from my hometown area) was also on Sons of Anarchy last season, KILLING IT. This just sort of played like garbage by comparison, and I really didn't give it a fair shake. Maybe just wasn't in the mood.
ReplyDeleteHHH
ReplyDelete
