Brock/Cena/Reigns

According to sources, the plan is still for Brock to beat Cena, and lose to Reigns at WM.  Look into the crystal ball, am I the only one who sees a Triple H/Orton main event reaction?   The crowd sat silent for the Taker match until the streak ended.  The Summerslam match drew "boring" chants during the suplex barrage and Orton/Reigns was a snoozer.  Wouldn't the sensible thing be to put Cena over Brock and have Roman beat Cena clean?  That also frees Rusev from getting the Cena-crush treatment Bray Wyatt got and give someone else (Ambrose, Ryback) the rub of beating Rusev.

I really liked Todd Martin's fantasy booking a couple of weeks ago, where he pitched Rock v. Reigns as the main event, so that Rock can work his magic with someone who you know he would put over huge.  Then you still do Rusev-Cena, but this time RUSEV CRUSH and that not only has the benefit of keeping him strong, but it gives Reigns a logical challenger down the road when Brock is gone and makes him look like the guy who could get the job done when Cena couldn't.  And then finally (even though there is literally zero chance of this at this point) you'd have Ambrose going over Brock, which I think could be gotten to by having Ambrose win the briefcase from Rollins at...ugh...Fast Lane and then show huge brass balls by challenging Brock at Wrestlemania as his cash-in.  So then Ambrose transitions the title to Rusev (because come on, you know it's gonna happen anyway) and he's champion until Summerslam, at which point Reigns should hopefully be over enough to get his big win. FOR MURICA. Badda bing badda boom.

  1. Cena being the one to beat Brock after Brock ended the streak is just a horrific, incredibly stupid idea. What an insane waste of the streak that would be.

  2. Is there really any way for anyone to beat Brock and not make it feel like a waste?

  3. Ambrose/Lesnar with Ambrose and his shitty punches (or swats, more accurately) going over would be the least believable match result in a long time.

Also, it's impressive how over they've gotten Rusev, but I personally have no interest in seeing an anti-USA foreign heel hold the belt. Rusev should be like Umaga: a formidable midcarder who has occasional programs with main eventers.

ER 12, but Cena does a "needs help walking to the back" as opposed to cutting a happy house-show-esque promo.

  5. Didn't he have the referees' help in getting to the back after that match, with one of his arms dangling as if it was broken?

Must've not been his mic hand.

  7. Furious 7 comes out the week of Wrestlemania. I don't see how Rock works the show given his insane promotional schedule.

  8. I just don't see a bright future for Reigns. Doesn't have good enough hair.

  9. At best that is what Rusev will be. They will be tired of him soon. As soon as Cena runs through him.

  10. The problem with this is that this scenario means building new stars and having to trust those new stars to carry the company in the future. No, obviously WWE needs to do HHH-Rock and Undertaker-Sting and Cena going over at WM.

  11. Because they're so obviously building to HHH/Rock and Undertaker/Sting, right?

  12. Best bet might be for Brock to retain at 31 and spend another year building up the Shield guys. Do something like Brock vs Cena vs Orton vs Batista.

  13. That's almost a full-Baked scenario, lacking only the firing of Triple H and the sexual humiliation of Stephanie McMahon somehow.

  14. Also, if Reigns or Bryan can't go, I'd do Cena over Brock at Rumble for the title, Rusev wins the Rumble, and Rusev beats Cena at 31. Just fucking go all in. It'd be legitimately shocking to see Cena pass out to the Accolade at the end of 31.

Another option is Cena beats Brock, Rollins cashes in, and Ambrose wins the Rumble.

  15. I don't see how Rock works a match ever again, considering he had to roid up for his last matches and got hurt in both.

  16. Really? That's what you would go for? Old age finally gets us all, there's no shame in that.

  17. He'll never go anywhere with the douche-tee on his chin.

  18. I think it totally depends on when Reigns comes back and how they book him. Remember, the whole "the fans already hate the guy/are turning on the guy" thing is a completely farcical smarky-smark concoction unsupported by anything but a less-than-ideal reaction to one match against Orton.

  19. Isn't Reigns second in merch?
