Jeff Hardy won the TNA World Championship at Bound for Glory 2012, and makes his first title defense here on an episode of iMPACT! The two put on a pretty good match, shall we say near the **** range?
If this is the match I remember, it IS good but it's also the same period where I got really sick of every Angle match having three Angle Slams and two of the other guy's finisher for "dramatic" near-falls. It stops being dramatic when you've conditioned me to take the Angle Slam as seriously as a chinlock.
Owen/Yoko v MOM actually scored a huge rating and beat Nitro I believe
and I actually liked the Dead Douglas character, Kliq just hated that he was getting what they desperately wanted to be Kid's push... but agreed his promos were as stiff as Terry Taylors work
I seem to remember them having really good matches on the PPV's leading up to 10/10/10, as well.
ReplyDeleteWe are never going to see Kurt in a WWE ring again. I don't quite know how to feel about that.
ReplyDeleteThis was brilliant.
ReplyDeleteJesus, when did Taz get bad at commentary? I remember liking his Smackdown work....
ReplyDeleteHe stopped caring or trying pretty early into his TNA run. "Not for nuffin, Tenay, but LET THE PIGEONS LOOSE!"
ReplyDeleteTna! Tna! T...n......a...
ReplyDeleteWell you did pick a random TV match from TNA...
ReplyDeleteI've been spotting the trend.
ReplyDeleteTNA = No Buys.

ReplyDeletePretty sure Mabel vs. Yokozuna was just a replacement for Mabel vs. Undertaker.
ReplyDeleteThis was a good period in general for TNA.
