  1. Fuckin' Florida literally threw that one away.

A family member just gave me a hand me down Wii with 4 games and no manual, gonna try to assemble it. This could go very well, or very bad.

    ReplyDelete
  3. Assemble it? It's a video game console not lego! Plug in 2 cords and turn it on.

    ReplyDelete
  4. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:12 PM

But which cords? And what to do with that motion bar?! I'm gonna be sung my old GameCube controllers on that thing.

    ReplyDelete
  5. FSU has played four straight games against unranked teams, and have won by an average of less than a TD across them. They only have one top-20 win and that's against a now unranked and shitty Notre Dame. If they lose to GT, no way they hang onto a top-4 spot; if they win, they're gonna get routed by either Bama or Oregon depending if they win out.

It's only a matter of time before the football team gets what they long deserved.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Motion bar goes above or below the TV (protip: works best on top of the TV).

    ReplyDelete
  7. Guy threw three 1st quarter INT and they still win. That don't happen. It's destiny. Just may down and accept it.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Evening.

    Movies I watched today

    Idiocracy
    Fifth Element
    Shrek
    Mars Attacks.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Bama has one win over a current top 25 team...

    ReplyDelete
  10. I still BO LIEVE in a team worth their salt would rip them apart, once they stop playing the dregs of the SEC and their own shitty conference.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:16 PM

You really shouldn't have any trouble connecting a Wii.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Welcome to 14 years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Power supply
    TV adapter
    Motion bar

    This is kid's stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I watch a doc on Brazil and how much it sucks.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Fifth Element is so good. I felt a lot of that in Guardians of the Galaxy. Never liked Mars Attacks, sadly; like Batman Returns, it just plays like Tim Burton's inside joke that I'm not in on.

    ReplyDelete
  16. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:17 PM

Thanks, but I have no plans of using that, I played with a Wii the way it was supposed to be played with years ago and it got old after an hour or two. I plan on going retro gaming with that thing, using a regular controller.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Does Idiocracy remind you of home?

    ReplyDelete
  18. You can't just not use it. It's required.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Never! I have not yet begun to fight.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:18 PM

You watch the most random collection of movies.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Be a man and play with an Xbox, PS or computer. Fuck's sake, a fucking Wii.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:18 PM

Finished season 4 of Dexter today. Is it worth continuing past that?

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yes, one day I was watching the Seventh seal.

    ReplyDelete
  24. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:19 PM

Well yeah, I know that it's hooked up to the system, I'm just gong to use it sparsely.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Virtual Console/GC games he should be fine, but it's sacrilege to own a Wii and not play the Super Mario Galaxy games, which requires the motion bar to register but involves minimal motion.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Kidney stones and FSU bullshit. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit drinking.

    ReplyDelete
  27. You watched Shrek, what are you retarded?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hey you can watch the SEC network for an alternate broadcast of the Iron Bowl, listen to Paul Slimebaum while he takes calls from mouth-breathing hilljacks.

    ReplyDelete
  29. He still has to use the wii mote to select the games.

    ReplyDelete
  30. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:19 PM

I have a 360, but I never had the chance to play Brawl.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I liked season 5 but season 4 is the Apex. I quit watching after season 6. Season 7 never grabbed me.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:20 PM

I want to get a Wii now to play the Galaxy games again.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Can't play that with anything but a gamecube controller.

    ReplyDelete
  34. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:20 PM

    Mario Galaxy is good?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Classic SNL is Ben Affleck/NERD.

One of my favourite episodes ever.

    ReplyDelete
  36. Speaking of video games, I have FFX on PS2 but I wanna play the HD version but... ah fuck it, I'll play it on the old PS2, for old time's sake.

    ReplyDelete
  37. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:21 PM

Well, good thing I have 4 of those.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I liked seasons 5 and 6 more than most people, but it never got back to the quality in season 4. Also, fuck you John Lithgow!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Fifth Element hasn't aged that well, but is still a cheese trip that makes it up in the end.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:21 PM

It's maybe the best Wii game out there.

    ReplyDelete
  41. But 2 overall, including the #1 team in the land at the time, and unlike FSU, they're squashing their jobbers; only Arkansas played them to a single-digit game.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Super good. Can't go wrong with it or a Zelda game.

    ReplyDelete
  43. A "cheese trip"? Kill yourself.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:22 PM

Fifth Element could have easily been turned into a trilogy. It's been a while since I've seen it.

    ReplyDelete
  45. No, I mean you can play with a wii mote, but I prefer the gamecube controller.

    ReplyDelete
  46. They'll find a way to win. They always do. They just eek out a win every time.

    ReplyDelete
  47. A win is a win...I haven't had a clue to how the hell they've done it, but to do it that many times can't be luck.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Mississippi State goes down. All on Alabama now to save us from an Oregon-FSU abomination. Prepare to die, Auburn.

    ReplyDelete
  49. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:22 PM

Man, I must have been given a great Wii then, because they also gave me the games of Brawl, Galaxy, and Twilight Princess.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Season 4 is by far the best, and it's actually how I think the series should have ended. I found it repeatitive from here on out.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Wasn't that the last decent FF game?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Heathen blasphemy!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:23 PM

Damn, that's the fucking Wii jackpot.

    ReplyDelete
  54. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:23 PM

    By many accords, yes.

    ReplyDelete
  55. They're among the greatest games ever, and maybe the best level design seen. It's basically a cross between SMB 3 (level design) and Mario 64 (gameplay structure) and they're both amazing.

    ReplyDelete
  56. XII kicked ass, and don't let anybody tell you otherwise.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Brawl and Galaxy(ies) would be worth owning a Wii just for them.

    ReplyDelete
  58. Missing Mario Kart though.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Was there EVER a decent FF game?

    ReplyDelete
  60. Eh, MKWii is the weakest one in the series.

    ReplyDelete
  61. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:24 PM

Plus Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:24 PM

The last great one, yes. XII was ok, but not a classic.

    ReplyDelete
  63. You have to leave now.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Weak Mario Kart is still a good game.

    ReplyDelete
  65. VI,VII,IX and XII.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:25 PM

I agree. Not anywhere near as an expansive as I'd hoped it would be.

    ReplyDelete
  67. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:25 PM

The games have some dust and scratches on them, hope they work.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Stay out of it, bitch.

    ReplyDelete
  69. How hard can it be to assemble?

    ReplyDelete
  70. Playing the guys they have though helps, they're not playing world beaters as of late. GT will be a good test going into the CFP; I think they'll beat GT, but this will be the best team they've faced going into a game.

    ReplyDelete
  71. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:26 PM

    I prefer Double Dash.

    ReplyDelete
  72. Everyone says VI is the best Final Fantasy game...I always liked IX the most

    ReplyDelete
  73. XII biggest problem was the protagonist, get Vaan out and Put Barsch as the center, the narrative would've been so much better.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:26 PM

    It's not, like at all.

    ReplyDelete
  75. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:27 PM

I don't have a manual, at it looks like an original model.

    ReplyDelete
  76. It is, multiplayer is still fun.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I was the return to the Innocence for FF.

    ReplyDelete
  78. CM Punk was the best performer of this generation.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:27 PM

Right, a weak protagonist makes it ok but not great. Definitely hurts the story, too.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:28 PM

Who uses a manual? Plugs match to the holes that are the same shape, done.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The Halo Master Chief Collection is the most broken game I've ever had the misfortune of buying. Even worse than Arkham Origins. Wish I didn't buy it digitally so I could return it or at least dramatically smash the disc.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Would you shut the fuck up already? Yes, we get it, the main character in most FFs suck donkey dick. What everyone cares about is PLAYING IT, and maybe 10% of it is the story. God you're dumb. XII had a great battle, ability and weapon system.

    ReplyDelete
  83. I just think the addition of double the racers and game-breaking weapons just makes it a cheater mccheaterson of a game, plus most of the original tracks aren't very inspired (the mine level is great though) and like with the next Kart games, I hate the Baby-filled roster. They really need to take a Smash Bros. approach with the series in terms of tracks and characters, I'd rather get a Cpt. Falcon and Fox in there instead of Baby Waluigi or whatever.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Everyone says VII is, actually. Hard to argue.

    ReplyDelete
  85. Link with Epona. Sonic on his own two feet.

    ReplyDelete
  86. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:29 PM

VII is a favorite for the marks, VI is the game for smarks.

    ReplyDelete
  87. I will argue on behalf of VI

    ReplyDelete
  88. Upvote because you were somewhat polite.

    ReplyDelete
  89. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Finally! Someone says it about me!

Now we are so happy, we do the dance of joy!

    ReplyDelete
  90. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:30 PM

That's what we're starting to get with the Wii U Mario Kart.

    ReplyDelete
  91. No, Abey has to build his from scratch. It's different.

    ReplyDelete
  92. What's crackin'

    ReplyDelete
  93. I'm gonna watch/running comment Unforgiven 2002 at 9 Et/6 PT if anyone is down with that and follow along

    ReplyDelete
  94. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:31 PM

He's a smart guy, I think he can do it.

    ReplyDelete
  95. Or truth...

    http://badgermama.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/chipmunk.gif

    ReplyDelete
  96. It actually matters in this case because FFXII was designed without Vaan and Penelo. They were literally shoehorned in at the last minute because Squeenix thought that without a bishounen main character, that kids wouldn't be able to understand the story and relate to Basch.

It didn't ruin the game for me, I loved the game, especially Zodiac job version but I understand why people are frustrated. XII is a clear demarcation point where Amano began losing influence.

    ReplyDelete
  97. That's a filthy lie, David.

VII is clearly the best because it actually propelled the series into relevance for the next 15 years or so. VI was great, but not groundbreaking like VII.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Watching the Leafs/Capitals. Was going to take a shot every time Glenn Healey shits on Ovechkin but I don't want to be drunk by 10:30.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Remember, before you bash schedules they are made at least 5 years in advance.

    ReplyDelete
  100. Chillin, killin.

    ReplyDelete
  101. Eddie/Edge, Angle/Benoit and then nothing good.

Oh wait... HLA. That doesn't happen.

    ReplyDelete
  102. I'm enjoying the SEC meltdown tonight. If Auburn beats Alabama, no SEC team will be in the top 4. Oregon, FSU, Ohio State, TCU/Baylor.

    ReplyDelete
  103. Let's! Do! THIS?!?!!

    http://gifrific.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/peanut-dance.gif

    ReplyDelete
  104. I don't Ohio State should jump into top 4. Close win and lost their QB.

    ReplyDelete
  105. WWE 13, 14 or 15, which should I get?

    ReplyDelete
  106. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:33 PM

    14

    ReplyDelete
  107. Personally I don't think so either, but putting 2 Big XII teams in the top 4 would probably cause a civil war. Then again Texas Tech just scored on Baylor so maybe Baylor solves this on their own.

    ReplyDelete
  108. Holy shit at that Texas Tech catch

    ReplyDelete
  109. Opening tag is pretty fun IIRC and the main events are crappy but fascinating (HHH and Flair join forces, Taker refusing to put over Brock very strong, etc.), plus the HLA stuff will be a good trainwreck. This was my first PPV in person and people were chanting for HLA all day

    ReplyDelete
  110. 13. Attitude Era mode fucking rules (despite some insanely difficult objectives).

    ReplyDelete
  111. 13. Attitude Era mode and a stacked roster.

    ReplyDelete
  112. But again, you have to take these games and just put up with the shitty main characters because that's just what they do. I ignore them and just pretended that Basch, Balthier and Asche were the main characters.... which they kinda were anyway, if you followed the story.

Same with X: Tidus and Yuna blew, but Lulu and Auron were great characters beside them.

The only one that hit it out of the park was VII because I kinda liked all of them.... actually I liked the story for VIII too, but the battle system just stunk to high heaven.

    ReplyDelete
  113. 15 because it's new.

    ReplyDelete
  114. "Yep Mode" Abeyance Brown ©November 29, 2014 at 5:35 PM

Ok, so which controller works better for each Wii game?
    Brawl
    Twilight Princess
    Mario Galaxy

    ReplyDelete
  115. I haven't bought a WWE game since Smackdown vs. Raw 2007.

    ReplyDelete
  116. Mute City track too, right? I'm calling it, I bet they go full Smash Kart with it in the next gen.

    ReplyDelete
  117. Read a bunch of reviews that said 15 was gutted.

    ReplyDelete
  118. I got Injustice: Gods Among Us from the library for 7 days for .50 cents. It's a real slog but I'll make it through. Not exactly enjoying myself. Rather be playing Fire Pro D for the Dreamcast.

    ReplyDelete
  119. HCTP over here.

I was invincible in that one.

    ReplyDelete
  120. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:36 PM

I liked the characters, story and system for IX.

    ReplyDelete
  121. It was a fun game competitively for the tournament crowd. The single player stuff is a true slog, the definition of "do it once then never ever ever touch it again because eff that noise"

    ReplyDelete
  122. All together: BOO THIS MAN

I love me some Injustice, esp. the Amell Arrow DLC.

    ReplyDelete
  123. Brawl- GC
    The other two - Wiimote

    ReplyDelete
  124. Extant1979 - Mr. Cable AccessNovember 29, 2014 at 5:37 PM

Injustice is one of the PS Plus free games for December.

    ReplyDelete
  125. I liked it initially, but upon replay I was too bored to make it past disc 1.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Here is the youtube link for 'Murica:

    http://youtu.be/zwTRHfEMq7k

    ReplyDelete
  127. First time I ever saw that clip.. that girl was frigging hilarious.

    ReplyDelete
  128. Click on the first one right below. Same video, not blocked

    ReplyDelete
  129. Because ya gotta have no less than 3 kids doing adorable things in the name of Jesus H. Cena. It's in the rules, man.

    ReplyDelete
  130. Judges?

    Yes. Ooh, tough break there.

    ReplyDelete
  131. Exactly what I was thinking

    ReplyDelete
  132. And the promotions took care of lodging and transportation. And if you were established enough, sponors could take care of your meals. Pretty good gig.

    ReplyDelete
  133. I still like this one guy ringside at WM30 in awe at seeing Austin and Hogan together in the ring. Then he went totally OMFG when Rock's music hit.

    ReplyDelete
  134. Yep. He had an Austin 3:16 shirt on I believe.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Danny Davis wasn't half bad on the mic either.

    ReplyDelete
  136. And even though few watched it, Kim/Terrell Last Knockout Standing from Slammiversary 2013 (and the ladder match a week or two later) were awesome.

Hell, the LKS match was arguably the BEST match on a card that had Angle-Styles (HORRIBLE finish), Bad Influence and Dirty Heels in a four team elimination match (HORRIBLE booking), and Sabin/King/Suicide (decent match).

    ReplyDelete
  137. Too over the top? For being front row watching the Streak end before your eyes? If anything it's understated.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I saw the ladder match, yep 'twas indeed a good 'un.

    ReplyDelete
  139. Still got chills for #10, #3, & #1... good stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  140. It was like a demon possessed her.

    ReplyDelete
  141. I always called him Vader's son.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Weird detail but I watched the ten man tags from 87 and 88 back to back and observed the way they mic'd the ring sounds changed in that time frame, like in 87 every slam on the mat is not very loud and then in 88 it's the cool noise we associate with wrestling today

    ReplyDelete
  143. Ha! I totally forgot about him until I was watching Survivor Series 96 last week and there he was! He was sitting near super fan Vlad.

  145. Here's Mr #1 on twitter.

    https://twitter.com/EllisMbeh

    ReplyDelete
  146. Was just coming in to say that. His gear was horrendous. Made it impossible to take him seriously as a wrestler. And if Vince truly thought that it was going to be a money-making gimmick, I can't imagine that he'd have booked Davis as such a pussy right out of the gate.

    ReplyDelete
  147. There is a guy who legit cups his ear back at Hogan during the beginning of the match.

    ReplyDelete
  148. I dunno, Jobber Virgil actually seemed really good. Smooth moves and very athletic. But by then, they'd already pushed him down the card.

    ReplyDelete
  149. Its late in the day and i'm a little punchy, but i laughed out for like 10 seconds. thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  150. Humperdink was a pretty awful fit in the WWF. As little as he brought to Bigelow, he brought even less to Orndorff.

    ReplyDelete
  151. Bigelow, although a great character with some cool moves, he was over at first, then got hurt, and also did not get along well with Andre. He also had some other attitude issues, so that's why his first WWF run was so short.

    ReplyDelete
  152. Remember how in '88-91, the tag scene in WWF was so huge, there was serious push by fans to create an IC tag title? How times change....

    ReplyDelete
  153. Always think Trish/Victoria at Survivor Series 2002 underrated, they just beat the holy hell out of each other.

    ReplyDelete
  154. I wish BamBam had stayed healthy and been pushed as a major Hogan enemy after the requisite heel turn. He was awesome back then and had a great look especially for an 80s heel.

    ReplyDelete
  155. Yes, I was thinking of her as one of my favourites as well, I think they only included ones where there was a close up of the fan, whereas she would be easier to miss. It was still kind of hilarious though, that match was interesting in that it was one of the few times where support was split 50-50 between Shawn & Sid.

    ReplyDelete
  156. "Hunter, you can bench HOW much?!"
    *shocked face*

    ReplyDelete
  157. I love that they had the camera on the crowd when Rock's music hit. There were about 15 great reactions from that shot alone, ranging from "Holy shit" to total freakouts to just wide grins of "ah, of course...."

    ReplyDelete
  158. I can't believe they didn't include the ORIGINAL 'kid stunned by a Cena loss,' following Edge beating Cena and RVD for the title
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi0fQaYp_5U#t=142

    ReplyDelete
  159. I could watch stunned reactions to the Streak ending all day. Every person in that stadium had that same look of utter shock.

    ReplyDelete
  160. Virgil's Gimmick TableNovember 30, 2014 at 4:51 AM

All this list does is remind me that I don't want children until my soul has already been drained of life.

    ReplyDelete
  161. That is legit my favorite, mainly because I was there live.

    ReplyDelete
  162. I did. And you have the temerity to talk about uninformed comments?

    ReplyDelete
  163. Makes it even worse.

    ReplyDelete
  164. That family of Cena merch racks was clearly a plant.

    ReplyDelete
  165. He can be their new Ron Simmons; instead of "Damn!", he can just stand in the background making that face when something wacky happens.

    ReplyDelete
  166. Savage and Elizabeth is probably my favorite moment, just because of the history; that's a 7-year story arc coming to an end. I've never actually seen the Demon Girl one before, but that's pretty awesome, too.

    ReplyDelete
  167. The demon girl one is AWESOME. Never saw it before. I'm halfway between wanting to give the kid a hug (she looked DEVASTATED by his winning) and finding the furthest corner of the earth to run from that kid. I'll choose option B.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I'm as cynical as anyone, but when the streak ended, I was all "wait, what?" and sat there in shock for about 20 seconds, just baffled and waiting for them to restart the match.

I've got to agree that it wasn't a plant.
