Hey Scott,
How come Ric Flair, the 18 Million Time World Champion, basically never won a match with the figure-four?
I mean, surprisingly, it never killed the finish but, considering how routine Flair matches could be, why would you consistently book the Greatest Wrestler in History to always have his finish be either escaped or flat out reversed?
Well he won the World title from Savage in 92 with it, and I think Dusty in 86, so that's pretty good. Plus I saw him beat Jimmy Garvin with it in 87 in a major program.
That shit got the job DONE when the chips were down.
The finish works because everyone who's ever seen the figure four on TV has been put in the figure four and we all know that fucker hurts like a son of a bitch.
ReplyDeleteI've always felt the same way - Flair's figure four was not nearly protected enough. Especially after Flair would spend 5-10 minutes decimating the damn leg & knee prior to slapping it on.
ReplyDeleteWell when you're the dirtiest player in the game you tend to find other easier ways to get the win.
ReplyDeleteI think that's how his character evolved after the 80s, when the figure four was sold like death by the announcers.
ReplyDeleteTerry Funk quit to it. Doesn't get more badass then that.
ReplyDeleteBingo! In the 80s the figure four either won matches or weakened the knee enough that it would give way leading to Flair winning. It was only after Hogan started no selling it during his WCW stint that the figure four became devalued as either a finisher or a contributing factor to the eventual finish.
ReplyDeleteHe beat Windham for the NWA World Title with it in 1993. In the most botched shitty ending to a title match ever.
ReplyDeleteI think the beauty of the figure four was 1. it was a great heat segment as Flair would grab the ropes for leverage and get the crowd really angry at his blatant cheating (behind the ref's back of course) 2. It was a way to get the crowd to cheer on the face as he struggled to either make the ropes, or reverse the hold 3. It would "destroy" the leg so that when his opponent was trying a slam or the torture rack, the leg would give out and Flair would score the pin (see v Lugar and Steamboat) 4. It was an effective hold because Flair could put on any opponent (including the Giant before he reached over and grabbed him by throat, thus making him the only opponent to break the hold not using the ropes, ref break, or reversal) and even the odds when Flair was the smaller wrestler...
ReplyDeleteThe amazing thing is the whole "turn it upside-down to reverse it" thing actually works too! Boredom + beer = learning for yourself what wrestling holds really work. Example: the sleeperhold. Do NOT be fooling around with that one.
ReplyDeleteI've never managed to put a sleeper on correctly, managing to turn it into a choke 98% of the time. But I have had it applied to me, and you're damn right about it being legit.
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing how over signature moves used to be, whether thought of as a finisher or not. Nowadays you break free from signature moves and kick out of finishers in every top level match.
ReplyDeleteI've never seen anyone kick out of Jake's DDT.
ReplyDeleteI think Jericho and Carlito tapped to it in Flair's later years.
ReplyDeleteI had a friend hit my carotid just right, dropped me like a stone in under 30 seconds. I remember things going black, time jumping a few seconds, then being fully aware as my "friends"--laughing--ran out of the room, turning the light off behind them. I saw it all, but for 15-30 seconds I couldn't move or speak. Sheer terror. Had to kick a few guys in the dick to convey that NO ONE should ever do that again.
ReplyDeleteUndertaker. Mania 8.
ReplyDeleteUndertaker?
ReplyDeleteThe real reason is top babyfaces balked at doing jobs via submission. Go find Herb Kunze's iconic piece on Ric Flair (after he jobbed in the retirement match to Hogan in 1994) and read that.
ReplyDeleteThat was the one I was fuzzy on. I know that Jake put him down with a DDT but I remember he didn't go for the cover right away and taunted Taker, who then zombie-d up. I wasn't sure if Jake eventually went for the pin or not.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone kicked out of the Five Star? I know Kane once popped up from it, but he was never pinned
ReplyDeleteDid he kick out, or did Jake just get interested in chasing Paul Bearer? I forget.
ReplyDeleteJust watched it on YouTube. Jake never went for the pin.
ReplyDeleteI retract my statement.
ReplyDeleteYou're damn right you will! :)
ReplyDeleteYet steamboat is the only one who routinely remembers the correct leg. So basic yet so easily missed. It's the little things
ReplyDeleteI was at a church lock-in when I was 15, and had just crushed my best friend in Tekken 3, when he (jokingly) came up behind me and put me into a perfect sleeperhold. I remember (again, jokingly) raising my arms up in the air to sell it, but nothing else. I was OUT in less than 15 seconds. Basically, just like the Hogan/Richard Belzer incident He said he let go of me and I flopped to the ground, my head bouncing off the concrete floor like a basketball. I had a seizure (loss of blood flow, I guess?), and 9-11 was called. I can remember laying on the ground (while seizing) and seeing him yelling for help, and seeing people rush over, hazy, like I was dreaming. He said my eyes were wide open the entire time.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, it was some freak thing, and I've never had a seizure since. But yeah, don't fuck around with the sleeperhold.
Yep. X chokes in bjj teach to hit the artery and will knock one out right away. A sleeper really is like a rear choke which is highly effective if done right. And even in wrestling it's safe to fake and looks cool. Great move all around.
ReplyDeleteJust saw the ending of the Rollins/Ambrose match
ReplyDeleteIf a non-wrestling fan watched that with you, they would laugh at you for watching wrestling. It was an embarrassment.
Hulu, Watch ESPN (can watch anything on ESPN3), Roku Media Player (so you can play music/videos through USB), YouTube, TED, Crunchy Roll (if you're into that), Fyre TV (porn, they used to give away free movies... )
ReplyDeleteYeah. Welcome back.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember what show it was on but I think I remember Brock kicking out of the 5 star frog splash sometime on the build to Summerslam 2002.
ReplyDeleteThat wwe 2k15 commercial seems so weird with john Cena talking about rage.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure someone has. It usually takes RVD a few seconds to make a cover, anyway.
ReplyDeleteI'd bet HHH kicked out of it in 2002.
Here: http://rspw.org/tidbits/tidbits.941027
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, HHH and HBK seemed fine with submitting as babyfaces a couple of times. Trips tapped to Cena, 'Taker and Lesnar, and HBK tapped to Cena, Jericho (although I believe this after a match) and I think a couple of other guys.
ReplyDeleteJust watched Carlito tap to it a couple days ago. Judgement Day 07 I think.
ReplyDeleteSo, for this Thursday's shoot interview recap, would you rather have me put up a poll or recap the Teddy Long YouShoot that is coming out this Tuesday?
ReplyDeleteWhat are the poll options?
ReplyDeleteI think that was at Vengeance 2002. It was the period when he was still getting "Goldberg" chants.
ReplyDeleteJust out of curiosity, did Hogan ever tap to it (even in a post-match/DQ situation)?
ReplyDeleteBayless is back....and better than ever. Got a nack, for making the BoD better. Face facts, cause our opinions don't matter. This maniac is gonna step on whomever.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Bayless
Presumptions made based on modern wrestling protocol - that you would "book" someone to have a weak finisher. Flair was the one calling the shit in the ring, not the guy with the pencil.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry the usual suspects defended it.
ReplyDeleteNo idea. Maybe tag teams
ReplyDeleteTeddy.
ReplyDeleteNot shocked.
ReplyDeleteI bet they also think they will go back to another Ambrose/Rollins feud too? They never book like that anymore so I doubt that will happen. They actually managed to make the Rollins/Ambrose feud suck and it was basically so Ambrose could transition into a feud with Bray. Quite the accomplishment.
Holla Holla, Playa!
ReplyDeleteWatching dean vs Cesaro from smackdown. This announcing is so bad...Michael cole just said "holy cow!", which no one has said since 1985.
ReplyDeleteJust found my own answer: he did beat him with the F4. Just once, at WCW Uncensored '99. Not sure if he actually tapped, though.
ReplyDeleteHogan beat him by clean pinfall the other 999 times. http://indeedwrestling.blogspot.com/2013/08/hulk-hogan-vs-ric-flair-match-history_20.html
Defending it, no surprise. Trying to compare it to Taker/Michaels... yeah, that was stupid.
ReplyDeleteSomeone offered to sell me heroin and crack the other day. I was pretty insulted.
ReplyDelete"People won't subscribe if too much stuff they want to see is available"-
ReplyDeleteWWE network apologist
I got offered Molly and Coke at three different bars clubs while away.
ReplyDeleteOnly pot is allowed.
ReplyDeleteIs that the Mulkeys?
ReplyDeleteYeah, they are using their archive footage terribly
ReplyDeleteWhat the fuck is Molly, anyway?
ReplyDeleteFuckin right. Though I will do DMT on occasion, not that anyone around here has it.
ReplyDeleteShattered me. I now actively hope Ambrose ends back up in CZW taking staple gun shots and Wyatt starts using the flying headbutt in everymatch.
ReplyDeleteIt was the stupidest fucking thing I've ever seen in the WWE and I've seen a lot of stupid things.
ReplyDeleteJust watched 3 MNW eps, cruiser weights, Jericho, and Goldberg. I don't get what y'all are bitching about. Thought they were very fair.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I posted that above after watching
ReplyDeleteA total embarrassment as a wrestling fan. The 21st century version of Papa Shango/Warrior
Eric Bischoff.
ReplyDeleteI like to think of them as the NWA's version of Bret and Owen.
ReplyDeleteYep Scott, correct on all three of those.
ReplyDeleteThe thing to me, that makes it worse, is that Rollins and Ambrose was the only hot feud they've had since Bryan went down, and they blow if off IN THE WORST WAY IMAGINABLE. A ghost...jesus wtf
ReplyDeleteThat's exactly what a sleeper is: a rear naked choke without the legs wrapped around the victim. Any time someone puts pressure on your throat is gonna be a bad time.
ReplyDeleteJustin Credible has to be the most random talking head ever.
ReplyDeleteThey held off on their match for too long then didnt even bother to have any closure in the HIAC match. A giant waste of time for those following the feud.
ReplyDeleteThe WWE has no long-term planning right now. Sure, the show had some good matches but the product is directionless. No wonder the network numbers are where they are
E combined with either ketamine or speed
ReplyDeleteGot done on the treadmill and started Survivor Series 05. Wasmt watching at the time but how does the Benoit-Booker Best of a Seven for the US Title compare to their TV Title Best of Seven?
ReplyDeleteTotally dude. Not only was it awful booking for that whole match, and not only was the finish cringe inducing/makes you humiliated to watch wrestling/was absolute garbage, but they basically made following the best, most entertaining feud in a long time mean absolutely nothing and like you said, a total waste of time.
ReplyDeleteAlso Ambrose has lost 100% oh his appeal to me. Between being booked like a sassy early 90's nickelodeon cartoon character he also has been involved in a wcw level finish to a feud. I can't sit back and act like I'm any kind of fan of him at all. I'm probably out on the current product (got plenty of old shit to watch though) until zayn gets called up or Bryan comes back.
Fuck that noise.
ReplyDeleteIt's actually really good. I haven't seen the wcw in awhile (but I remember it being awesome) but I rewatched most of the 05/06 ppvs and they have a few awesome matches in that series.
ReplyDeleteGood shit.
ReplyDeleteIs he not recapping Raw anymore?
ReplyDeleteYeah, they are clueless on how to get a guy over and seem cool.
ReplyDeletePeople will bitch about anything, look at the network ads ...how invasive are they?
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, HBK tapped to Kurt at WM 21.
ReplyDeleteWhich is crazy because the feud was red hot.
ReplyDeleteIt's an homage!
ReplyDeleteSharmell had a great body but a very meh face.
ReplyDeleteThey killed it off.
ReplyDeletein today's wrestling, holding off on the match and stalling the feud does not help it out.
Who the fuck did that?
ReplyDeleteBarry Windham looking worse than ever
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e5gQBENOxvU&list=UUq6_e5klwDUj7XiXHWzJBew
That routine seemed to happen a lot in the 90s.
ReplyDeleteCheers! An hour of exploring though and it seems there is quite the difference between whats availableon a UK Roku and what's on the US. Oh well. I've got my UFC.TV account setup on TV now, that's pretty cool. I've stuck TED and Youtube on there as well. And the Network on Monday!
ReplyDeleteMiss Black USA
ReplyDeleteHe beat Vince with it at the '02 Rumble.
ReplyDeleteAwesome moment to witness live
Ricky Morton should consider bringing Barry everyone so he doesn't look at terrible.
ReplyDeletePretty sure he beath BOTH members of the American Males with it in 1996 and perhaps even Jim Powers.
ReplyDeleteSo, there goes that theory.
Watching college football for the 1st time in 3 months
ReplyDeleteWhich game?
ReplyDeleteThese games that should be clear wins are killing me in pick'em today. ECU screws up against Temple and now Georgia can't put any offense together against Florida.
ReplyDeleteHaha. Well, they had 2 TO's so might as well burn them.
ReplyDeleteAt the very minimum, they need to put a damn season of Prime Time up. I mean if they dumped a whole season of AWA, Saturday Night, Prime Time, etc. people couldn't watch that with their regular working lives in 6 months.
ReplyDeleteFlipping around now on TCU-WVU
ReplyDeleteThe real question is, how would Bret have been booked in the Invasion, with other Mount Rushmore level wrestlers, including a heel turned rookie John Cena?
ReplyDeleteExcept that Bret agreed to any number of scenarios in which he would drop the title in the ring before leaving.
ReplyDeleteI kind of dig WVU playing the spoiler role this year for Vegas and the Big 12.
ReplyDelete2 things though:
ReplyDelete1- At the time, the WWF title was still very protected, and had only changed hands once in the history of Raw (Bret losing to Sid, mostly due to HBK losing his smile, and changing the booking all around)
2- Austin absolutely ahd to beat either Bret or Shawn at WM, to pass the torch from the "New Generation Era" to the Austin Era. Bret and Shawn were basically interchangeable there. So Shawn HAD to win the title.
TCU is the real deal
ReplyDeleteOne of the better teams no one is talking about.
ReplyDelete*Apple juice
ReplyDeleteI remember him beating Marcus Bagwell with it on WCW World Wide. Outside of clips from the Savage match, I believe that was the first time I saw him win with that move.
ReplyDeleteThey are
ReplyDeleteAfter 13 minutes in the hold.
ReplyDeleteThey need to create a gimmick matches tab so you can easily find all of the matches of a certain type. For example, click on WarGames and it has every WarGames match listed and you click on whichever you wanted to watch.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a porn site called Nutflix
ReplyDelete"Reasonable creative control" being debated in the courts? Also if they start suing Vince probably refuses to pay Bret what he's owed and keep him from moving onto WCW.
ReplyDeleteThat's more than Macho Man ever got :(
ReplyDeleteBret and Vince agreed to a scenario in which Bret would put Shawn over at the December PPV after going over in Montreal. Shawn vetoed it.
ReplyDeleteI hope everyone had a good time last night. I had a blast out with my douche bag 80's guy costume. Had a novelty lacoste shirt with a comically sized popped up collar, wayfarers, white slacks, loafers with no socks, Gordon gecko hair, and we even brought out some 80's themed drugs which made us even more popular lol.
ReplyDeleteGod I love Halloween, definitely one of my favorite nights to go out and party.
Mulkymania?
ReplyDeleteSlutfix sounds better
ReplyDeleteScott should just regularly schedule a thread on Montreal, The Invasion and John Cena turning heel once a month.
ReplyDeleteThen it is no longer a play on Netflix
ReplyDeleteSee above. Bret agreed to a scenario in which he'd drop the belt to Shawn in the ring, but Shawn nixed it.
ReplyDeleteHe hit one out of no where. Once he got up, Taker started sitting up. Short clothesline then a ddt put Taker down. That's when Jake decided to go after Paul and the urn.
ReplyDeleteYes, that was where Flair beat Hogan with the Figure Four... IN A FIRST BLOOD MATCH
ReplyDeleteYeah, I know Lil' Naitch was involved, but still
I think that was a one-week thing. But if it becomes permanent, I wouldn't complain. Matt's sanity, on the other hand...
ReplyDeleteTaker did a similar spot during their Mania 18 match (passes out from the pain but does a zombie sit up at 2 and then grabes the throat))
ReplyDeleteThanks! Always appreciate help from the silver surfer!
ReplyDeleteOH DAMN, DAT BOY RIGHT DERE SPOKE ON IT, HE DID!!!
ReplyDeleteThere's a big difference though with him winning as a face, or as a heel. For example, as a face, he also beat Jericho, Carlito and MVP for example. But as a heel, it's usually against a jobber face, or by main event face passing out. It's just not common for top faces to submit, period.
ReplyDeleteRandom Flair thought:
ReplyDeleteI love how, after he lost the title to Kerry Von Erich at Parade of Champions, Flair became terrified of the backslide pin.
Hey, a tap out is a tap out! SCOREBOARD!
ReplyDeleteThis is a fight?
ReplyDeleteFlorida kicking the shit out of Georgia
ReplyDeleteRIC FLAIR... CONQUERED.. THE STRE... OH WAIT!!!
ReplyDeletewould have been 50/50 booking omg!!!
ReplyDeleteAs previously reported, a Spike TV source claimed that TNA and Spike TV are still in negotiations.
ReplyDeleteAccording to a new report from Wrestlezone, there is a feeling in TNA that the company will likely sign a new TV deal with Spike TV and stay on the network. The new deal would give Impact less money than their last deal, but the company will likely have to settle for what Spike TV is willing to give them.

Montreal could have been avoided if Yokozuna had just joined the Hart Foundation like he was supposed to.
ReplyDeleteany one of those 18 times.
ReplyDeleteThought i was watching Duck Dynasty for a minute there.
ReplyDeleteWell, we might owe WWF1987 an apology.
ReplyDeleteSo, with my birthday coming up and my family unable to actually buy me a present, they usually just send me money. I got a little more than I was expecting and was thinking about trading in my PS3 and getting a PS4.
ReplyDeleteSo, my question: has anyone traded in a system and games to Best Buy? Seems like they give more credit back for what I've got to offer (which is not a lot) than Game Stop,
WWE has to find some way to let people browse random matches. I have no idea what I want to watch.
ReplyDeleteEh, Barry looks like a fat old guy. Ricky looks like a science experiment gone awry.
ReplyDeleteWalmart is doing a 79 dollar Nintendo 2DS, and I think they JUUUUSTTTTT released all the black Friday deals for gaming stuff, too.
ReplyDeleteAnd regarding trade-ins, truth be told, I'd see what Best Buy says, but hit up your local Pawn Shop. I tried to trade in an old iPad to Gamestop and they offered me...7 dollars, then the pawn shop offered 80.
iPhone - Best Buy refused to take my 3GS, the Pawn Shop gave me 50 in credit, and so on.
But truth be told, I'd hold onto that PS3 unless there's some KILLER app you want on the PS4. PS3 games are only getting cheaper, and PS4 games are gonna stay the same price for awhile.
Also I think the WiiU should get some consideration - Super Mario 3D world, The E-Shop, Yoshi's Wooley World, etc etc.
I'm headed back to Scott's review, I think it was there.
ReplyDeleteHighlights:
Jesus Christ did people necro that thread to give the match props. I should go back and ream each of them a new asshole, but I'll just shake my head in disappointment. By the way, look out for Mort Guffman. He could make Vince Jordan look negative. And Coke Float is also looking sketchy...
Here's one:

The ending last night kind of feels like HBK/Taker in 97. Weird, supernatural-type ending, Taker feuds with Kane, HBK goes onto something else. They would then meet again at Royal Rumble
... and another:
Travis Banks • 6 days ago
Isn't the Rollins/Ambrose finish pretty much the same as Bad Blood 97?
(in his defense, looks like he wasn't defending it.)
Your neighbor will give you better trade-in deals than Game Stop. I cannot say I've traded in to Best Buy though. But I can't imagine them giving you a worse deal.
ReplyDeleteJesus, just look up the live thread and Scott's recap. There's a LOT of shit there.
ReplyDeleteI tried signing up for the Network free month but it didn't work. No free Survivor Series for me :(
ReplyDeletePaul's new supervisor: We dig your writing style a whole lot!
ReplyDeletePaul: Thanks!
Supervisor: Yeah!
Paul: is it cool I called the audience Aardvarks?
Supervisor: Oh we love that sort of thing.
Paul: ...Can I do a thread on poop?
Supervisor: Huh?
Paul: Can I do a thread on hoops? Like 2k15?
Supervisor: Sure!
If they do pull that off, then full credit to them. And I'll happily toast WWF1987 with "Here's to another year of sub-1 ratings!"
ReplyDeleteBullshit. We all know your supervisor replied with "Shut up Meekin" There's no way that didn't happen!
ReplyDeleteBut then how will you know if Cena overcame the odds?
ReplyDeleteThe website says $100 for my PS3, plus $35 for my newly-purchased WWE2K15, plus whatever I can get for the controller and other game.
ReplyDeleteI guess I will have to pay the $60 to find out on PP--HAHAHA couldn't say that with a straight face.
ReplyDeletebateflix has you covered there.
ReplyDelete... shut up, Meekin. Before we sic Detective In Training Cresto on you.
ReplyDeleteIt wasn't so much Bret showing up and pulling a Madusa as it was Eric announcing they'd signed the WWF champion. People forget that.
ReplyDeleteWii U isn't off the table, but I can't access the Network on the WiiU, so I wouldn't want to trade the PS3 in just yet if I spent the money on the Nintendo instead.
ReplyDeleteOnly idiots do that, according to WWE.
ReplyDeleteThat's actually not bad. Game Stop is selling used PS3's for about $150 so that seems like a solid amount. You always get screwed on games. They are gonna turn around and sell that game for $55 used.
ReplyDeleteAlso the network needs to ape youtube's related videos list.
ReplyDeleteGame Stop says they'll take the PS3 for $70, which makes me think it'll actually be for less, because they're a bunch of rotten bastards.
ReplyDeleteThem's fightin' words!
ReplyDeleteWhoah, I can get some tit if I give up some tat?
ReplyDeleteOH! Plus, I have a $5 gift certificate at Best Buy...
ReplyDeleteBest Buy looks like the way to go. You go to Game Stop and they'll see a tiny scratch on the bottom of the PS3 and knock $10 off their offer.
ReplyDeleteIt was a pinfall I think, not a tap. No way Hogan ever taps.
ReplyDeleteWe gain an hour this weekend
ReplyDeleteAye, I think that was his WWF debut against Jim Powers.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Game Stop still gets away with that shit.
ReplyDeleteWow, I forgot that, he did didn't he? Eesh. I wish fans would just shut up sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI bet your local supermarket would give you a better trade in deal than Game Stop.
ReplyDeleteRight, which is why I'm looking for an alternative.
ReplyDeleteDamn you beat me to the joke. Game Stop sucks, he should definitely do a trade in with best buy (if possible, I didn't know they did that, crazy!).
ReplyDeleteHell, at least it made the endings to Flair matches less predictable.
ReplyDeleteAfter watching Dean Ambrose on SD!, I'll admit that he seems to be enjoying himself, if nothing else. Who knows what kind of future he'll have with this new gimmick twist, though, because it just reeks of "Short-Term Gag That Vince Will Tire Of In A Few Months".
ReplyDeleteKnew I was forgetting one.
ReplyDeleteNo one has ever offered me drugs. I'm not sure if I should be insulted by that or not, to be honest.
ReplyDeleteYou come at the king you best not miss.
ReplyDeleteYeah, going over Hogan and The Rock in short order really saved him.
ReplyDeleteOn your behalf, I just texted a guy I know who is one of those anti game stop Nazi types, and asked him the place to trade in a game system. He just sent back "Best Buy, not even close", so take that for FWIW. I've never actually traded a game in anywhere but this dude hasn't shut up about game stop for six years at least, and is a super gamer. He probably knows whats up.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Spike wanted to cut them loose, but they're not able to find a new deal and Spike have just decided fuck it, we might as well keep them, we'll just pay them 1/50th of what we used to.
ReplyDeleteWell what about a friend passing you a joint or something?
ReplyDeleteBarry looks like a cardiovascular event waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteRunning wild friend!
ReplyDeleteWhat twist is this exactly
ReplyDeleteWhy is this?
ReplyDeleteShut up Meekin.
ReplyDeleteMy only concern is I've never traded anything in to Best Buy other than my iPhone 4 (which they gave me a good price for), so that would be a fun new experience.
ReplyDeleteNah, my friends were all nerds. NERDS, I say!
ReplyDeleteThat said, I've had co-workers who were heavily into weed and I actually live with a weedhead now (through no choice of my own). And I've never been invited to partake. Maybe I just give off a narc vibe or something.
Michelin Man: "Can I start getting paid?"
ReplyDeleteBoss At Imaginary Job: "Good one!"
Live Blog it!
ReplyDeleteSpeak only when spoken to.
ReplyDeleteCan I live tweet it instead? It's been a while since I've used my blogger account.
ReplyDeleteAnd just out of curiousity, I wonder how many places you can trade in a game too. Is there a game stop competitor or anything like that? Does Amazon have some kind of trade in thing?
ReplyDeleteTrue, but he still looks like every old redneck you see hanging around a baitshop. Ricky just looks bizarre and sad.
ReplyDeleteGood call! This is why you're the BoD in house expert media consultant.
ReplyDeleteSome dude offered me pot a few months back. The sad part is if I had cash, I'd probably buy from him.
ReplyDeleteSo he's taking a vow of silence?
ReplyDeleteI recall Flair used it to beat Carlito for the IC belt in 2005. That was after the classic moment where he actually hits a move off the top rope to a standing ovation.
ReplyDeleteIt's kind of like Bret tending to win big matches with something other than the sharpshooter
ReplyDeletePretty cool that all of the faithful got chokeslammed as revenge for your friend making you pass out.
ReplyDeleteIts really primetime cable schedulers' fault! If Nitro didn't start an hour before RAW, Bischoff wouldn't have had the first crack (unopposed at that) at claiming to have signed the competitor's world champion.
ReplyDeleteYeah Vince still does it for sure. Ask Wendy Richter.
ReplyDeleteYeah, what they need to do is have them sit down for a big DVD doc together, that will ensure we never discuss Montreal again.
ReplyDelete
