Current Plans for the Undertaker at WrestleMania
The current plan for the Undertaker is to wrestle Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania XXXI but that is all dependent on the Undertaker giving the WWE the okay that he will be able to wrestle, something he has not done yet. And if the Undertaker is not able to wrestle there are still plans to use him in some aspect on the show.

Randy Orton Update
The current plan for Orton when he returns is to come back as a babyface and feud with Kane. The WWE aired Kane interviews that aired exclusively in some Canadian markets in which he vowed to get back at Orton for the choices he made.

Backstage Reaction to Charlotte's RAW Debut
Many in the company were baffled how Charlotte was used in her debut. Originally, Charlotte was going to get the win as part of a tag match but Vince changed it to a singles match where Nattie would pin her instead. The belief is that no one would remember that this would happen if they re-debuted her in six months. Here is what one talent said about the situation:
“For about 30 seconds, I was mad Charlotte lost, and then reality kicked in and I realized no one cares. One week ago, the whole roster was buried when it came to answering a question about who should beat Taker. No one gets it. Every f***ing week backstage they (HHH, Vince, Dunn, Hayes, Steph) bury the live audience for chanting for Punk. They bury the crowd for not reacting to things. They call them stupid for ordering PPV. Then they bring in a new talent from NXT who is a current champ and beat her in her debut just three days before she has a live title defense. Nattie didn’t even want to win.”

Original Plans for the RoH World Title Match
Adam Cole was originally supposed to win the title from Jay Briscoe but that was changed as Cole might need shoulder surgery so they decided to hold off on the title change.

Catching up on last night's thread, and apparently Jericho and Ambrose made a damned good podcast. Or at least an interesting one.
ReplyDelete*reads all the news items...*
ReplyDeleteOh this thread won't be pretty... :)
So is Meltzer's source Dolph?
ReplyDeleteI predict three separate Worst tantrums.
ReplyDeleteStop salivating!
ReplyDelete"Every
ReplyDeletef***ing week backstage they (HHH, Vince, Dunn, Hayes, Steph) bury the
live audience for chanting for Punk. They bury the crowd for not
reacting to things."
I would love to be a fly on the wall for this. I can imagine HHH and Stephanie seething, Vince perplexed, Dunn with a stupid look on his face, and Hayes slurring something racist as the crowd boos the everloving crap out of whatever garbage segment is in the ring.
Where he'll then just claim he's talking about wrestling on a wrestling forum in a "passive agressive" tantrum?
ReplyDeleteNo, we're not getting that. We're getting full "Dean Ambrose saw a ghost" type freak out.
ReplyDeleteJust don't imply that he sounds angry. He doesn't like that.
ReplyDeleteRandy Orton Vs Kane! Yes! Not sure we've ever seen that one before?
ReplyDelete"No one would remember this happened"
ReplyDeleteIsn't the point for people TO REMEMBER Charlotte? If not, what is the point? Why even have the match?
"Randy's super hot right now. Who should we put him with?"
ReplyDeleteVince: "THAT'S GOTTA BE! THAT'S GOTTA BE KAAANE!!!!!! THAT'S GOTTA BE KAAAANE!!!!"
That's how Vince operates now I guess.
ReplyDeleteI really wish the wwe didnt think we were retarted :(
ReplyDeleteI for one will remember her awkward 'WOOOs' on the way to the ring
ReplyDeleteSo you just want this kind of thing to happen basically, right?
ReplyDeleteKinda.
ReplyDeleteTo answer your question though - wrestling for the sake of wrestling
ReplyDelete*retarded
ReplyDeleteReally?
Don't worry. Everyone will forget in 6 months is how they run the whole damn company it's sad.
ReplyDeleteFrom CM Punk's Fox Sports interview report: http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/533675-live-coverage-cm-punk-on-fox-sports-live-talking-ufc-now
ReplyDelete"When asked what Jiu-Jitsu belt he is, Punk reveals he’s never even gotten his blue belt, and that obviously paints a target on his face. For him, it’s more of a thing where he hasn’t had time to train
consistently, but he doesn’t believe in being “better” than other people just because of a belt color."
Brennan: I have a green belt...read it and weep.
Dale: I don't believe in belts. There should be no ranking system for toughness. But one time, I wrestled a giraffe to the ground with my bare hands.
Robert: That's not true Dale, don't be ridiculous.
He is talking about wrestling on a wrestling forum. You are every bit as passive aggressive.
ReplyDeleteFrom the sound of it, you would think a locker room revolt was brewing.
ReplyDeleteThat's passive aggressive at its finest.
ReplyDeleteI did that on purpose. Then edited it because I thought it would go over peoples heads.no offence :)
ReplyDeleteThey might stop caring soon!
ReplyDeleteAt least I can admit if I get upset about something. He acts like I accuse him of raping his dog if I imply he's angry. I'll never understand that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'm pretty sure it's gotten to the point of sad on both sides because it's not about talking about your opinion on these new items as much as it is, "I'm gonna say something derogatory about this poster so that will start an argument about who the troll is!" It's like a daily thing now.
ReplyDeleteI've been making 85 dollars every hour since i started to freelance online six months ago... What i do is to sit at home for few hours each day and do simple work i get from this company that i stumbled upon online... I am very excited to share this to you... It's an awesome side job to have
ReplyDelete------------> w.atch.me/BP85dO
And where will this "revolt" lead? WWE is the only big league in town. They can't ALL go to UFC or become actors.
ReplyDeleteWhat drives me crazy is pro wrestling isn't hard - look at what Ambrose and Wyatt of done, look at the stupid funny shit like Mizdow that gets guys over. Obsessing over CM Punk is retarded, give the people what they want and they'll forget about CM Punk.
ReplyDeleteUndertaker-Bray Wyatt would be amazing if Wyatt got put over, it would make him for life. So it won't happen because, you know, brass ring.
Maybe he isn't angry. You can discuss things passionately without being outright angry.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't sure if you were being funny/ironic or you were just a moron. It's hard to tell sometimes around here.
ReplyDeleteI guess I just don't understand why he takes it so personally. I even explained to him that even if he's really not angry, he comes off as angry by the way he posts... And he's been raging over that ever since. Incredibly thin skinned. I can't believe it's such an issue. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteIt's the Vince Jordan affect. He had his bootlick in petrock and I stand by worst. I think Worst is based in reality in his rantings instead of just complaining people aren't positive enough like the completely insane Vince Jordan.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good point. Point rescinded.
ReplyDeleteSo what you are saying is.... You and Petrock are... AVATARS??
ReplyDeleteOh, no one has the stones to actually do anything . You'd need a big name to openly reject the direction before you ever saw any real movement.
ReplyDeleteI just ... I can't take a wrestler seriously that goes out in dress pants who once set JR on fire. I just can't.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you but you once called me an idiot so I didnt upvote it. So there!
ReplyDeleteIn my defense I agree with the projected rant. That is the most retarded news I've heard in a long time. I just am entertained by rants.
ReplyDeleteVince has never trolled anyone and then ended it with the classic troll method of asking them why they are mad. Just drop the why are you mad gimmick Vince. You're by far the maddest one here and no amount of awww shucks in your posts hides it.
ReplyDeleteYou could just stop talking about it completely and get back to the conversation/jokes/whatever else.
ReplyDeleteRetarded? Grow up.
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm saying is, you're an idiot.
ReplyDeleteNo offense, but I said "both sides are sad", and you're proving it right now.
ReplyDelete*your
ReplyDeleteThey could give Vince a vote of "no confidence". That always seems to work.
ReplyDeleteFair enough. The WWE think tank comes off as pretty ridiculous in that news item.
ReplyDeleteYou know what fuck off. You're a baby butch and you're proving it right now. Take the day off if you can't take it.
ReplyDeleteHere is my take on the news:
ReplyDelete1. Wyatt jobbing at two straight Mania's doesnt seem all that productive but maybe a program with Taker can give him a much needed boost.
2. Its just a feud to kill time until they sort of the Mania plans, IMO
3. Didnt get the point of jobbing Charlotte here at all but people will most likely forget this when she does get the call up to the roster.
4. I wonder if shoulder surgery is code for he is going to the WWE.
You are an idiot.
ReplyDeleteAh, the pre-meltdown before the "Worst in the world" upcoming meltdown. He's like Mizdow!!
ReplyDeleteI was pissed at that too. Rusev didn't do anything of note. I don't think he eliminated one person. Why have a big guy debut at the Rumble and NOT have him throwing people out of the ring?
ReplyDeleteThat one was a troll. I'm proud of myself. :)
ReplyDelete"That's the problem, you don't know what you really want!"
ReplyDelete- Vince
How do you start a feud based on choices.
ReplyDeleteKane: you made a wrong choice
Orton: No I didnt.
Kane: lets fight!
God. You are the fucking worst, man.
ReplyDeleteCM Punk was the company's #2 man and he walked over his health, pay, and direction... and nothing changed. Sure, Bryan ended up winning at Mania 30, but that was fleeting for circumstances beyond their control and it probably would've happened anyway if Punk was still around.
ReplyDeleteAre you saying I am... the worst in the world?
ReplyDeleteNah. You're way angrier and far more passive aggressive.
ReplyDeleteUgh. Can we just stop with Kane please? The guy should be in the midcard having the occasional match here or there, why is he still part of the main event act?
ReplyDeleteExactly. Those who basically say "Bryan won at WM because Punk walked out" are simply wrong. That's not on Punk at all.
ReplyDeleteI made up a story for Kane's current character.
ReplyDeleteHe is a business man who travels a lot, and his wife continually forgets to pack his shirts. He gets so mad that he takes it out on wrestlers because apparently he's never shopped for his own clothes before and doesn't realize there are Men's Warehouses all over the country.
Maybe one day he'll realize there's an easy fix for this....for the sake of everyone.
3. Is the most worrying. Sports entertainment is based upon responding to the fans. The Charlotte parts not important, but the insight into getting mad at the fans for not liking something is scary.
ReplyDeleteWho are you to doubt Koncessions Kane?
ReplyDeletelolwut
ReplyDeleteHe'll just be used to solidify Orton as a face. Kane has one of the worst win/loss records this year, so as long as he keeps jobbing clean, I find him to be a perfectly fine hand.
ReplyDeleteHe sucked Pat Patterson off real good. Total company man. He earned this with his loyalty. The show isn't about us enjoying it. It's about the loyalty of others and that's how you earn a spot.
ReplyDeleteAlso, if they let Bray pin Taker, this could make him for life, but this is wwe so they won't.
ReplyDeleteHOW DARE YOU IMPLY I AM ANGRY? I AM NOT ANGRY GOD DAMN IT! YOU ARE ANGRY! YOU ARE THE ANGRY ONE! STOP SAYING I AM ANGRY! *HULK SMASH*
ReplyDeleteThey could go to TN*giggle*...
ReplyDeleteTN*chuckle*...
T*snort*...
I'm sorry, I can't finish that sentence and keep a straight face.
Somebody's got to job to the stars. Better him than someone I care about.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the point of putting hot acts up against KANE? Shouldn't he be used as a good hand putting over mid careers who actually need some wins?
ReplyDeleteI think Danimal has multiple personality disorder at times.
ReplyDeleteLibertarian Kane!
ReplyDeleteI think you're a dumb shit all of the time. Stop trying to medically diagnose the blog with anger issues or personality disorders. You're an ass. An angry passive aggressive fuck face.
ReplyDeleteWahhhh people on the blog disagree all day. Fuck off. Grow up.
ReplyDeleteI commented on another thread it put applies here: I was at the Fairfax house show last saturday and the main event was Ambrose vs. Bray. They went out there for 15 minutes in a street fight and went crazy - kendo sticks, tables, chairs, brawling everywhere - innovated spots. These guys are going balls to the wall at a small house show of about 3,000 (at best)
ReplyDelete... but Roman Reigns gets the big push. THAT is everything that is wrong with this company right now.
Doesn't he do that too? I don't get the Kane hate, it's not like he's hogging the PPV main events or anything. So he's the bottom guy on the former Authority side, and he jobs to the faces. And he's not THAT bad in the ring.
ReplyDeleteWrestlemania 30 was the first WWE show I'd watched since 29, and I hadn't really been following things outside of the Bryan stuff either. When I saw Kane job in a 2 minute tag match I thought "Huh, that's where Kane's at now. That's for the best, probably." Next month he got a world title shot. I don't know what's going on with Kane ever.
ReplyDeleteReigns is injured. He can't fight right now.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to come out talking about the Fed and see how it gets over LOL
ReplyDeleteIt would need a full-on 1991 style angle behind it. "Undertaker, last year, you were fighting for the Streak. This year? You are fighting for your soooooullll!!!"
ReplyDeleteFoley?
ReplyDeleteHe's awful in the ring. Slow as molasses and just plain dull, but different strokes for different folks. Keep on enjoying that shit sandwich they serve you. Beg for more. Passively aggressively fight with people who don't enjoy shit sandwiches.
ReplyDeleteGood call.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Taker can start a new streak, and retire 21-21 at Wrestlemania?
ReplyDeleteThen maybe they should... oh, I dunno... push guys who aren't injured?
ReplyDeleteTouche' ... but it is different.
ReplyDeleteMatt Kemp traded to Padres
ReplyDeleteDidnt he kinda hog the main event with bryan after WM?
ReplyDeleteI think Vince may have borderline bi-polar disorder which leads to him lashing out on wrestling message boards. It's the only thing that can possibly explain him lashing out on wrestling message boards.
ReplyDeleteDidnt expect that to happen
ReplyDeleteYet he's going to get slid right into that top spot while these guys have been earning it out on the road. All this brass ring bullshit - I saw Ambrose and Wyatt at a shitty house show at the Patriot Center on a Saturday night doing just that.
ReplyDeleteBut Reigns will win the Rumble because ... ?
He's coming to defend that to high heavens shortly.
ReplyDeleteI would've traded Crawford or Ethier before Kemp.
ReplyDelete"No one cares."
ReplyDeleteBest description of the Divas division I've seen.
Can't stay healthy
ReplyDeleteYep. You got me. I need to "grow up" for thinking people bitching at each other to try and "one-up" each other on a blog is stupid. Good job.
ReplyDeleteWHY DO YOU THINK I AM ANGRY? JESUS F*CK, CAN'T I JUST COMMENT ABOUT WRESTLING WITHOUT BEING ATTACKED? NOT ANGRY NOT ANGRY NOT ANGRY!!!!!!!! *SMASHES KEYBOARD*
ReplyDeleteOk, i'm done. :)
I don't even care if Bray jobs as long as he's presented as an equal to Taker.
ReplyDeleteIf Bray had gone over Bryan (at the Rumble), Taker (at Mania) and Cena (Backlash) he could have feuded with and taken the belt from Bryan right after that and been set for for life. Now he's just an ineffective mid card heel. Doesn't even have this family. So many interesting things that could have been done with him but aren't.
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think happens on message boards? Is this your first one? Move past it if it bothers you so much. People botching at each other is the life blood of message boards. So yes, you should grow up and find something better to bitch about.
ReplyDeleteNot done enough.
ReplyDelete..............where the hell did this Bray Taker thing come from? All we have heard of is Sting Sting Sting. Bray is a terrible choice in my eyes. I was fine with Brock going over it put Brock back in the spot light and for the money they are paying him that made sense. It also made sense that Taker then went away and didn't compete at Mania again.
ReplyDeleteThe reason I have a problem with this is you are either jobbing Bray once again to send Taker off into the sunset or trying to reuse the Wrestlemania magic Teabag that is Taker even though the flavor is already used up.
As a first challenger and a guaranteed win for the new champ though. I found it to be perfectly fine, plus they had a history against each other. (Remember Austin's first 2 PPV title defenses were against Dude Love, who had just gotten off losing a tag title feud against the New Age Outlaws). Doesn't have to be a top contender right away.
ReplyDeleteSo Roman Reigns shouldn't be pushed because Bray Wyatt and Dean Ambrose had an entertaining garbage brawl at a tiny house show?
ReplyDeleteYou can make a credible argument that they should be pushed before Reigns, but that isn't in the same area code as the list of reasons why.
Bray is the new Mankind.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it'd be a matchup of Hologram vs. Lighting Bolt.
ReplyDeleteIsn't your whole argument that Vince Jordan is a troll, but yet you're saying that the life's blood of message boards is bitching at each other? So what you're basically saying is that you come here to troll? Or am I reading that wrong?
ReplyDeleteWow...
ReplyDeleteBeat vs Taker holograms. They just stand outside the ring controlling their holograms. Taker loses and disappears in a puff of smoke smoke clears there is a casket. Inside the casket is a new rocking chair for Bray and a star is born. That rocking chair wins the next Runble and the title at next years Wrestlemania.
ReplyDeleteIt's not even guaranteed that this will happen. Remember when it was "set in stone" that Batista was winning the title at WM last year? Let's at least wait until it happens.
ReplyDeleteWho gives a shit about Austin. It has nothing to do with now.
ReplyDeleteI would laugh, but... I also laughed at the Cena/Wyatt rumor last year. Who knows.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be like putting gas in a car they've already wrecked?
ReplyDeleteHe's in "danimal mode" right now. Just have fun with it and don't take it seriously.
ReplyDeleteI see it now: the Irresistible Bladder versus the Immovable Bowel Obstruction. It's Hulk Hogan versus the Undertaker, Age in the Cage II with special guest referee "Nature Man" Ric Flair and his CNA at WrestleMania L!
ReplyDeleteAfter Survivor Series I think they set up HHH vs. Sting
ReplyDeleteNo, but if they had any balls, they COULD all form a union. Vince needs the roster more than the workers realize. if 90 percent walked today, what, really, could Vince do? Comb the indies?
ReplyDeleteBest fan booking yet.
ReplyDeleteSeriously who are the people who want to see Taker wrestle at mania at this point? He was great for a period of time..not as great with HHH then Punk had to do everything and then some to carry him. After that he was all used up but there was still the streak..Well now there is not the Streak there is a just an old man who couldn't go at all a year ago....who wants to see this?
"perfectly fine"
ReplyDelete*takes shot*
Fuck, I'm gonna be wasted quick on the Defending WWE Drinking Game :(
I actually like you vince so dont take this the wrong way but you JUST said he wasnt hogging main events.
ReplyDeleteYou're reading it wrong. People bitching is the life blood. Disagreements. Here's my side theres yours. Vince comes with the sole intent of pissing people off. Very different. It isn't a discussion. He then delves into time honored troll techniques of avoiding the original argument and just starts calling people mad. It's two very distinct things.
ReplyDeleteThat's IF they wanted to. I remember the terrible "walkout" ep of RAW and wonder if Vince and Co wouldn't take one seriously.
ReplyDeleteThey're not stupid; they'll take the necessary steps to make sure a repeat of last year doesn't happen, especially since they know what kind of environment Philadelphia can be.
ReplyDeleteThis. wwe may be the only real game in town, but Vince still needs a credible roster.
ReplyDeleteThat makes since based on Stings debut but doesn't based on all their online promotion. Sting/Taker this and that on the website, in polls, Monday Night Wars and so on.
ReplyDeletebest part is... the end result would be a half century of 50/50 booking!!!! lulz
ReplyDeleteYeah this. Save the big push for Summerslam if he's been that hurt.
ReplyDeleteIt sucks too, because for the first time... ever, they actually have a handful of women on the roster or in developmental that can put on a decent match.
ReplyDeleteMy point is basically guys putting in the work versus guys getting selected based on things other than their work and the boss then running everyone on the roster down as "millennials" who are bored or sacred or lazy or whatever the F Vince was saying. Its frustrating and hypocritical because guys working that hard at a house show in, let's be honest, a throwaway feud that nobody understands to begin ARE in fact reaching for whatever that brass ring is.
ReplyDeleteThis isn't anything against Reigns ... but smiling babyface Roman Reigns feels like a force-fed Diesel 95. Everything Vince says these guys arent' doing Ambrose and Wyatt are in fact doing, and then they don't get the megapush. Or they get their legs cut out.
Belt colors for most styles ARE arbitrary.
ReplyDeleteI see big things for both Ambrose and Wyatt. I really don't think they're getting their legs cut out. If they're not in the main event this year, I think they could easily be for years to come. (remember they're both still in their 20's right?)
ReplyDeletealmost two whole minutes of wrestling, in fact!
ReplyDeleteIf we're going to get away from 50-50 booking. Kane's as good a candidate for 5-95 booking as anybody.
ReplyDeleteOh shit I didn't realize it was in Phllly ... yikes.
ReplyDeleteI interpreted that "millennials" comment as aimed at the previous generation. Kofi, et al.
ReplyDeleteThe talent who made the comment? You guessed it... Frank Stallone.
ReplyDeleteKane is like the Phillies at this point - he'd have to have Taker's streak just to GET to .500.
ReplyDeleteIt's not even pro wrestling anymore. Why does anyone care about who faces who or who wins? That ship has sailed and will never ever come back to port.
ReplyDeleteWay to oversimplify an argument and not read between the lines. You're better than that.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I'd be fine with Taker taking the year off from wrestling. He can definitely make an appearance, but I don't really care about a match, unless it's Sting. (aka, not against a current full time guy, just a special attraction thing)
ReplyDeleteWell this is the end for him. He made his choices, now the chance is over. The funny thing is, he thought he was in good enough to speak up, but they buried him, and now he's going nowhere.
ReplyDeletePumped for NXT: R Evolution tonight.
ReplyDeleteI blame Brad Maddox.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with Taker not wrestling ever again. Dude's got a zip code's worth of gold watches.
ReplyDeleteYep, I've mentioned this several times, but I think they might hijack the show whether they like it or not, just to "show up" their state rivals Pittsburgh from last year.
ReplyDeleteAgree and Zayn vs. Neville should tear the house down.
ReplyDeleteI think they are setting bray up to be the new Lex Luger. He will probably get a count out victory over Taker
ReplyDeleteno interest in bray wyatt what so ever, in fact i hope hes in the battle royal and gets eliminated by fandango.
ReplyDeleteI'm assuming Zayn loses and goes to the main roster, but that match has serious near five star potential.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I dont think the show has enough momentum going in for them to even bother doing that.
ReplyDeleteI think Neville loses and goes up but I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we've discussed this to death but the Punk vs. HHH match wasn't even set until 2 weeks or so after Elimination Chamber, when it appeared that Bryan would be facing Kane at Mania. It was over a month after Punk was gone.
ReplyDeleteAnyone who refuses to acknowledge that is ignoring what actually happened on television and/or just wants to make Punk look like a hero for "helping Bryan."
Well ok, maybe I worded it wrong. More like "He's used as a jobber to the stars" and nothing more. He's not burying anyone or anything.
ReplyDeleteSo if it no longer matters who wins and loses, then does it matter if I do not watch it? I mean all guys have a losing record anyway, so what's the point of really supporting any wrestlers? Look at Exhibit A: Cesaro.
ReplyDeleteRenee Young is one of the hardest workers in WWE. She was at RAW, taped Main Event TLC and the NXT preview shows, will be at NXT tonight, was probably at the Smackdown/Tribute to the Troops tapings, and will be at TLC Sunday.
ReplyDeleteUnless that belt has a WWE logo on it...
ReplyDeleteFWIW tonight's match between Neville and Zayn is the most I've looked forward to a match since WM30.
ReplyDeleteI loved that angle, I just wish they had followed it up longer. But they all came back within 20 minutes the next week, boooo!!
ReplyDeleteDon't know how many of you guys like Lucha but the Aerostar vs. Super Fly mask vs. mask match is off the charts.
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IOT0YSn613U
There's nothing intrinsically worth rooting for to warrant hijacking, which I think is a calculated move on their part were they savvy enough to realize the hornet's nest Philly could be for them. At this point, Philadelphia may just reject everything out of pure spite, because they're desperately running out of hardcore markets that aren't filled with dead sheeple each week on Raw.
ReplyDeleteAnd between that she has to find time to give some loving to the Titty Master.
ReplyDeleteTend to agree - this isn't King of the Ring 95.
ReplyDeleteI don't even think Reigns has annoyed fans enough to elicit the same type of reaction they got last year. Just kinda "meh".
If it's better than Viscera's reaction when he was tossing dudes, then thumbs up.
Mankind, Big Show, Test, and Ken Shamrock formed a Union in 1999 and that didn't turn out well.
ReplyDeleteMaybe they'll both win and go up!
ReplyDeleteThe tipping point is coming for WWE.
ReplyDeleteI would be shocked if they get a particularly big network sub bump. I'm a wrestling fan, and my approach to the network was I'll do six months for Wrestlemania last year, and after the six months were up, I said, "Eh, I don't really enjoy this enough to keep paying for it" and cancelled. They gave Survivor Series away for free, I took the free month and again came to same conclusion and cancelled.
If that's where I'm landing on it, they can't be remotely penetrating the psyche of a casual wrestling fan.
And really they're screwed long term. If there's another Austin on their roster, i don't see it. I don't even see a Cena replacement for when he eventually decides to ease himself out of this.
Their hand will be forced creatively at some point. Same thing happened to Vince when the company became stagnant in the early 90s and he kept beating his head against the wall until he almost drove his company under.
The only difference between then and now is Vince is almost 70 and may be too senile to recognize the signs at this point.
Well it's like the times John Cena gets "fired" and he shows up on Raw anyway. What do you expect?
ReplyDeleteThat's why it sucked. I think it would've given the talent the wrong idea.
ReplyDeleteLooking for new names here. Who are your go to porn stars? Hottest up and comings? Top 5?
ReplyDeleteSaddest thing is, me calling him mad wasn't even an attack, just a legit observation. I just had no idea it would have struck such a nerve with him.
ReplyDeleteOh, I don't care about it. I just find it interesting with this whole daily tag team match that goes on here and the fact that everybody thinks their justified in some way when it's really the same thing over and over again for no real purpose other than, from what I can tell, boredom.
ReplyDeleteShe's their first interviewer that I've actually liked since Kevin Kelly.
ReplyDeleteThey stopped penetrating my psyche a long time ago. Sob...it's...it's like they don't care anymore!
ReplyDeleteWell that's not just on Cena, it happens all the time (Aka, austin pulling a fake gun on Vince the night after he was "fired"). That's just a wrestling thing I guess.
ReplyDeleteZayn has to win here, right? I mean, the guy is going to get Luger'd in NXT if they aren't careful, and I think Neville is ready for the main roster. (Zayn is too, but I'd like to see him actually get a chance to shine as the alpha dog in NXT for a time)
ReplyDeleteI don't follow. Many reporters stated that Punk/HHH was the plan at the time, and Punk confirmed they wanted that match in the meeting when he quit. He didn't quit to help Bryan, but his quitting did free up that spot for Bryan.
ReplyDeleteImagine if they treated their main shows like they do NXT, what kind of wrestling we'd get to see each and every week.
ReplyDeleteUP YOURS!!
ReplyDeleteExcept that would appear from a neutral perspective, others like myself see it differently. Yes, VJ comes here and starts shit with WitW, but then you come on and immediately jump on him and keep doing it over and over again as though you enjoy it.....so isn't that just both of you doing trollish techniques? I don't know. It's just seems like it happens so much that it's damn near normal for you all.
ReplyDeleteI once rubbed hand lotion on Gina Mond, so there's that I guess.
ReplyDeleteIt's like we're on a wrestling message board or something. Who would have thunk it.
ReplyDeleteAriana Jollee FTW. Cause she enjoys it so much she makes you believe she'd do it for free.
ReplyDeleteJeff Buckley hanging in there at #5. HE NEEDS MORE VOTES. THAT VOICE MUST ADVANCE!
ReplyDeleteThe problem is, even if there were another 'Austin'-like personality on the roster, the writing and creative direction are so bad, it neuters anyone with a chance of getting over.
ReplyDeleteVince is too old for that. Steph and Hunter don't seem to think they're doing anything wrong.
ReplyDeleteCharlotte got buried because she's a piece of garbage millennial. Pffft Millennial! Never working, just laying around, without a care in their heads full of long, luxurious Millennial hair.
ReplyDeleteI find it strange that back in the 90's, at the start of the Internet, it was "match quality" that mattered the most. Now it seems to be back to a "mark'ish" point of view with who wins and loses. Just something I noticed.
ReplyDeleteExactly why I've entered "Do Not Give Even One-One Hundredth Of A Smidgen Of A Fuck" territory until the new year. Stupid shit will happen, people will attack and defend it, and life will go on. Short of GFW actually getting something good started in 2015, I'll stick to older stuff it seems.
ReplyDeleteNorm MacDonald for the win!
ReplyDeleteI was listening to a Jericho podcast with Seth Rollins and Vince wanted the Shield to break-up after losing to Punk at TLC 2013. The Shield took him into a room and told him no. Vince respects stuff like that. The problem is that most guys on the roster are afraid of losing their jobs or being forced into a Bunny suit or Mizdow gimmick if they speak up. I think that WWE has a great core of wrestlers now: Ambrose, Reigns, Bryan, Rollins, Cesaro, Cena, Ziggler, Sheamus, Bray, Zayn, Neville, Itami, Balor, etc. that they'll be perfectly fine as long as they breakaway from the stupid nonsensical storylines. WWE's roster now is as good as its been in longer than a decade. The in-ring aspect is great and all they have to do is put one and two together and they'll flourish. I think that time comes when Triple H takes over.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best roster they've had in years. The writing is just terrible.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that's sad at all.
ReplyDeleteBo Dallas too.
ReplyDeleteFair point
ReplyDeleteBut Bryan's real moment was winning the title. Beating HHH was just a bonus. He could still have easily been inserted into the main event, even with the Punk/HHH match happening.
ReplyDeleteWhen we were all online in the 90s working ourselves into a frenzy over Attitude we thought match quality mattered the most?
ReplyDeleteI watch my share of porn like everyone else (In fact I try to watch extra to make up for all the porn the Amish and Mormons don't watch) but I've never learned their names. I think if you learn their names it crosses a line and becomes a hobby. I don't think jerking off should ever be a hobby.
