I have no idea what I want to watch. Start Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy or finish Season 4 of Game of Thrones. Or watch Parks for the thousandth time. Or watch Sunny for the thousdandth time.
So hard to compare, but I'd say EC. Even if you don't think Cena should have won, out of context it makes for the better match. I love them both, though.
How about then Tigers? What? Trading for Gose from the BlueJays isn't a great offseason? If they go into 2015 with an outfield of Rajai Davis, Gose, and JD Martinez, they will NOT win the division. Period.
that's how the game is played these days. You pay guys for 2-4 years of downside just to sign them. Look at Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Verlander, Prince Fielder, Stanton, etc. You want to sign a big name, be prepared to pay them big bucks when they are 37 and not worth it.
My drug of choice tonight is lemon zinger tea. Today was a long day at work and I'd really like to knock back 8-10 Miller Lites but I'm going to try and still lay off the sauce for a while.
I'm definitely gonna do my best to avoid any SOA spoilers. I decided to go with GOT just because I've only got 5 episodes left to be fully caught up and then I can catch up on SOA.
Yeah, the Tigers certainly do not own the AL Central anymore. I think the White Sox stepped up this week with Samardzija and David Robertson. Adam LaRoche last week.
Lester didn't really show me anything at the end of last season. Nothing about his play screamed big-time ace. Not like Bamgarner. Now that guy can have all the money
naah. If Lester got 155, Scherzer ain't getting more than 180. He's not that much better, he rarely goes more than 7, and some fear his motion is an injury waiting to happen (although so far he's been injury free for the most part). I'd love for the Tigers to resign him (because it ain't my money) then flip Porcello, Price, or Sanchez for a good OF (and maybe some bullpen help), but I ain't holding my breath.
that series also showed you the difference in Bochy and Ausmus. Ausmus pulls Sanchez after two innings with the world's worst bullpen waiting because Sanchez "just came back." Fuck that. It's the playoffs and he's got all offseason to rest. Bochy throws Baumgarner out there for 5 innings on 2 days rest.
I never understood bothering with the pen. Even if a guy like Verlander wasn't what he used to be, he's still better than whatever they could trot out of the pen. All those supposed ace's on the staff and Ausmus didn't have one guy he could trust to put out there
it was painful. The one guy he could trust (Al Alberquerque) never left the pen. At the same time the bench was so pathetic we trotted up Hernan perez, Brayan Holiday, and Don Kelly in the 9th of one of the playoff games. Lot to be said for Cabrera, Victor, JD martinez, Kinsler, the rotation, etc. but benches and bullpens matter and that was proven to the Tigers two years in a row now.
LOL. The Redsox have a surplus, unlike the Giants, so maybe Cespedes is an option. Heck I'd trade a prospect or two for Jackie Bradley Jr. who flopped last year as a rookie. Still better than trotting Gose out against Lefties and Rajai Davis out against righties.
"Source: Wrestling Observer NewsletterAs noted, WWE recently added The Undertaker to WrestleMania 31 promotional material, including a newly painted tour bus.
The current plan is for Taker to face Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 31. That is still dependent on Taker telling WWE he will be working the show but he has not done so as of this week."
Watching a Raw from early 1996, after Gorilla Monsoon was injured by Vader, and Gorilla does a sit-down interview and is asked about his injuries.... if you thought "external occipital protuberance" was something, watch this. Gorilla must have gotten a medical dictionary for his 12th birthday.
Wrestling Observer is saying that if Orton returns at TLC, he'll either return as a face and cost Rollins the match or he'll return as a heel and cost Cena the match.
Seriously if Undertaker wrestles, he should be getting put over Brock. If Brock isn't going to stick around get the belt off him and have him give Undertaker his win back. Undertaker should get to ride off into the sunset a winner.
I can imagine the promos. Neither will make sense.
Taker: "Bray Wyatt, I've watched you from the catacombs of my soul, deep in the dark of the twilight of the womb of the darkness. I will take your soul, harvest it, and you will REST IN PEACE."
Bray: "Taker, this world is a place man, a place where a man get beaten and eaten, and my daddy did the eatin' and beatin' to me as well man. HE'S GOT THE WHOLE WORLD IN HIS HANDS!!!!"
The New York Knicks were en route to their fifth straight loss last week against Brooklyn when a frustrated Tim Hardaway Jr. screamed angrily, "Get the rebound!''
Certain his second-year teammate was speaking to him, Carmelo Anthony approached Hardaway on the way down the court and used an expletive to ask Hardaway who in the world he thought he was talking to.
Anthony, according to sources, then used another expletive in telling Hardaway he was going to beat him up when they got into the locker room after the game.
I think the ship that has sailed is Brock meaning anything for buyrates and business and making new stars. Fuck him, take the belt off of him and beat him like a drum on his way out.
Oh that would be great. So much turmoil for such a pathetic and disappointing team. I expected them to be below average but not this terrible. Carmelo is not the guy for the triangle.
Or he'll do the great exasperated look of disbelief that he will do when someone kicks out of something. Imagine Bray kicking out of a Tombstone by bridging into a crab walk.
Apparently the storm hitting San Fran tomorrow is so huge that our boss gave us the option of staying home Thursday. That said, I'll brave it for the $100 payday, because EVERYBODY's GOT A PRICE!
Jesus, what has happened to WWE TV production this year? There have been more snafus and fuckups this year than in any other year since the early 1980's. Did Kerwin Silfies secretly quit? Because this kind of shit would have never happened under his watch.
It's honestly getting to the point where ROH (in all its horrendously lit glory) is starting to have production values, they certainly have far fewer cases of wrestlers calling spots on-camera.
Why does Michael Cole still act like somebody's going to win a match with a resthold or a transition move? You'd think he would figure out that it's almost 2015 and no one has won any matches with those moves since the 1970's.
I wonder if theyre going to hammer home the fact that hes the "superstar of the year" when he returns or just resume where they left off and start hitting us over the head with hhh's sledgehammer to try and get us to accept him as the juggernaut. I mean if they never mention it again why bother trying to rig it?

ReplyDeleteEvening
Body count- 99 problems
I have no idea what I want to watch. Start Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy or finish Season 4 of Game of Thrones. Or watch Parks for the thousandth time. Or watch Sunny for the thousdandth time.
ReplyDeleteGoT, episode 2 has the dea.... of... Fr.....
ReplyDeleteSaw the Brock/Cena at SS, my first rating was ***1/4. Now I consider a **** match, that was Vader levels of beatdown.
ReplyDeleteI love that match. It's up there in my top matches of the year without a doubt. A one-sided pounding with Brock swinging the hammer.
ReplyDeleteThose hope spots Cena had were well done. Brock doing the sit up was one of the biggest dick moves I've seen.
ReplyDeleteOne of few times where Brock looked like he was genuinely having fun. He sat up and you could tell he was having fun.
ReplyDeleteJeopardy, motherfuckers!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching Kurt Angle PPV matches from 1999-2001 for the too manyth time tonight
ReplyDeleteHad cramps on both feet less than 5 minutes apart. Gotta have more potassium.
ReplyDelete3 I's Angle, my favorite version of him.
ReplyDeleteJimmy Rollins to the Dodgers. The Marlins in talks for Dee Gordon. Astros shore up their pen with Gregerson and Neshek. I like me some hot stove news.
ReplyDeleteTEAM RECK GOAT
ReplyDeleteBrock Lesnar vs. John Cena at SummerSlam or Brock Lesnar vs John Cena at Extreme Rules?
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RegHMfhrk4I
ReplyDeleteNothing tops this moment.
SoA unless you want to be spoiled.
ReplyDeleteBrock/Cena at ER, even with that shit finish.
ReplyDeleteSo hard to compare, but I'd say EC. Even if you don't think Cena should have won, out of context it makes for the better match. I love them both, though.
ReplyDeleteWhere do you think Scherzer ends up?
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Lesnar/Cena at Summerslam: if Bryan hadn't gotten injured, would Bryan/Lesnar have been the same type of match?
ReplyDeleteReally good moment but this is, IMO, Angle's funniest work: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0piyaanzrZo
ReplyDeleteProbably, and we would complain that Bryan was being buried.
ReplyDeleteNo lie, Brock had me rooting for Cena to win. If you watch that match, the hardcore Chicago crowd cheers for Cena at the end. As a fan, I loved it.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably going to take 8-10 years and at least 25 mil a season to sign him.....
ReplyDelete......the Yankees.
Cubs be doin too much.
ReplyDeleteI was smiling ear to ear before the finish.
ReplyDeleteI'm astonished as to how much money Lester got. Literally baffled.
ReplyDeleteWell, when they end up in the World Series within the next two years, I'll be pulling for Dem Bums.
ReplyDeleteCurious why you preferred ER match then. Both matches are pretty similar in their own right.
ReplyDeleteAnyone man enough to tell me what kind of strains of herb they got for tonight?!
ReplyDeleteLester is no spring chicken, right? Don't understand the long-term investment in a guy that age.
ReplyDeleteIt felt like a massacre, not that the SS match wasn't. But Brock looked like he would kill Cena.
ReplyDeleteReggie! Nah man, I don't know. I'm not bout that life
ReplyDeleteI think the Sox will be the winners in the end when all is said and done. Not being saddled with that contract will be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteHerbal tea?
ReplyDeleteFunny thing about the ER match is that it turned Cena face. Even I was cheering for him by the end. Then they screw it all up
ReplyDeleteNo, they won't (Die hard White Sox fan here).
ReplyDeleteIn hindsight, that match was the first of its kind. There was never any wrestling like that at least in America.
ReplyDelete2015 is going to be LOADED with wrestling on TV/internet.
ReplyDeleteMonday - RAW
Tuesday - Main Event
Wednesday - NXT, Lucha Underground
Thursday - Smackdown
Friday - Impact Wrestling, NJPW's show
Saturday - Impact Wrestling: UNLOCKED
Sunday - PPVs when they happen
GoT for sure.
ReplyDeleteTHEN GTFO DORKUS MALORKUS
ReplyDeleteWhat's Unlocked about?
ReplyDeleteI'm not a Joe Maddon fan at all. I think he's flaky and implements too many strange, risky strategies. But I think even he can get the Cubs there.
ReplyDeleteI shall show myself out
ReplyDeleteplus ROH in some markets, generally Friday, Saturday or Sunday nights.
ReplyDeleteHerb Tarlek?
ReplyDeleteExtreme Rules. Better match although SummerSlam has a more satisfying ending.
ReplyDeleteyeah but it would have made for a hell of an underdog story when he got his win back, unlike Cena's less than entrancing storyline.
ReplyDeleteYou're about to get your Primetime fix on the Network, my friend.
ReplyDeleteTrying to think of the last big-time free agent Atlanta signed. hmm.................................I'm gonna be awhile.
ReplyDeleteOregano, and that's being a man for you.
ReplyDeleteSame basic match but maybe a bit more offense. Cena can afford to get demolished like that.
ReplyDeleteIs Takerover tonight?
ReplyDeleteWHAT!!!!!!!!!!! WHEN WHERE HOW LINK???
ReplyDeleteAll that money to lose 15 games a season with that team.
ReplyDeleteHow about then Tigers? What? Trading for Gose from the BlueJays isn't a great offseason? If they go into 2015 with an outfield of Rajai Davis, Gose, and JD Martinez, they will NOT win the division. Period.
ReplyDeletehttp://network.wwe.com/shows/vault/prime-time-wrestling
ReplyDeleteOne show up already.
Welp, they've got my money forever!
ReplyDeletethat's how the game is played these days. You pay guys for 2-4 years of downside just to sign them. Look at Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Verlander, Prince Fielder, Stanton, etc. You want to sign a big name, be prepared to pay them big bucks when they are 37 and not worth it.
ReplyDeleteIt's a replay of Impact, but with added stuff to it. Airs Saturday at 10am.
ReplyDeleteI went with Thrones because I only need 5 episodes to be fully caught up.
ReplyDeleteMy drug of choice tonight is lemon zinger tea. Today was a long day at work and I'd really like to knock back 8-10 Miller Lites but I'm going to try and still lay off the sauce for a while.

ReplyDeleteThe Giants need another starter, I'd wouldn't mind Price.
ReplyDeleteI believe it's tomorrow
ReplyDeleteHey, Mike.
ReplyDeletethat series also showed you the difference in Bochy and Ausmus. Ausmus pulls Sanchez after two innings with the world's worst bullpen waiting because Sanchez "just came back." Fuck that. It's the playoffs and he's got all offseason to rest. Bochy throws Baumgarner out there for 5 innings on 2 days rest.
ReplyDeleteLet's relive the 80's glam metal.

Whitesnake- Still of the night.
tough division. Only the Twins can't be considered a threat.
ReplyDeleteSup dude?
ReplyDeleteUptons?
ReplyDeleteFinal exam tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteNice what subject?
ReplyDeleteWell give us Pence then and a bullpen guy. Price is only signed for 2015 so the Tigers can't ask for as much as he's worth.
ReplyDeleteI never understood bothering with the pen. Even if a guy like Verlander wasn't what he used to be, he's still better than whatever they could trot out of the pen.
ReplyDeleteAll those supposed ace's on the staff and Ausmus didn't have one guy he could trust to put out there
Medieval II, I'm the only with the hope of passing, everyone is already dismissed.
ReplyDeleteI want to say they came in trades. It may have been only one. Let me look it up real quick.
ReplyDeleteI like how Adrain Vandenberg & Vivian Campbell are mimicking John Sykes guitar work. Oh, and the crazy chick dancing around.
ReplyDeleteit was painful. The one guy he could trust (Al Alberquerque) never left the pen. At the same time the bench was so pathetic we trotted up Hernan perez, Brayan Holiday, and Don Kelly in the 9th of one of the playoff games. ReplyDeleteFred McGriff was in 93 I think.
ReplyDeleteTim Hudson count?
Let's go once again with Whitesnake
ReplyDeletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSlSaGcc0QM
Wouldn't you have had to be alive in the 1980's to relive them?
ReplyDeleteOkay, Justin was acquired in a trade and BJ was signed in FA
ReplyDeleteIn that case, it was nice talking to you.
ReplyDeleteD'oh.
ReplyDeleteMcGriff was a deadline deal. BJ was a signing so we'll go with that.
ReplyDeleteHow much will the increments of your money be?
ReplyDeleteYou should shave your head.
ReplyDeleteLOL.

Ervin Santana?
ReplyDeleteWouldn't you have had to not be a lame-o to comment here!? B-U-R-N.
ReplyDeleteuggh. So Sting and UT in separate matches? Not going to be a big show for workrate apparently.
ReplyDeleteWatching a Raw from early 1996, after Gorilla Monsoon was injured by Vader, and Gorilla does a sit-down interview and is asked about his injuries.... if you thought "external occipital protuberance" was something, watch this. Gorilla must have gotten a medical dictionary for his 12th birthday.
ReplyDeleteYou just want to see your fellow countrymen.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we pretty much dismantled our farm system for Carlos Beltran.
ReplyDeleteFucker.
I'm just gonna go with BJ Upton back in 2013. It seems like he's been there longer than that for some reason.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure you know what a burn is.
ReplyDeleteI loved it when Gorilla spouted off medical terms when I was a kid. I learned so much about anatomy!
ReplyDeleteI know you do because you just received one!
ReplyDeleteFeel like if Undertaker is done wrestling, isn't he a sure-fire Hall of Famer?
ReplyDeletePoor Bray, so promising to start
ReplyDeleteIn like 8 seconds, he said 100 words and none of them made any sense.
ReplyDeleteDamn son. Good luck and congrats with the class being over.
ReplyDeleteWrestling Observer is saying that if Orton returns at TLC, he'll either return as a face and cost Rollins the match or he'll return as a heel and cost Cena the match.
ReplyDeletePeople PAY to read this stuff. LOL.
You're the last man standing?
ReplyDeleteNow that you mention it you are right I have felt the burn ever since I had A LOT OF SEX WITH YOUR WIFE
ReplyDeleteI'll pay up to $14.99 a month.
ReplyDeleteThe last time we left our hero he was being stomped out by The Authority. Why would he cost Cena the match, again?
ReplyDeleteSeriously if Undertaker wrestles, he should be getting put over Brock. If Brock isn't going to stick around get the belt off him and have him give Undertaker his win back. Undertaker should get to ride off into the sunset a winner.
ReplyDeleteYou couldn't just finish the joke there?
ReplyDeleteOh that's interesting you mention that because MY WIFE IS TRANSEXUAL. FAG!
ReplyDeleteBecause the world can't get enough of Cena and Orton.
ReplyDeleteConsidering his ghastly performance at Survivor Series, would you want him as an ally?
ReplyDeleteEdgy.
ReplyDeleteNah. That ship has sailed. Undertaker beating Brock does nothing for him.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand it lol...
ReplyDeleteDon't come at the King baby.
ReplyDeleteThe correct answer was "$9.99 MAGGLE" or even just "$9.99!"
ReplyDeleteImpossible to be wrong. Cover all the bases like a grand slam.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine the promos. Neither will make sense.
ReplyDeleteTaker: "Bray Wyatt, I've watched you from the catacombs of my soul, deep in the dark of the twilight of the womb of the darkness.
They already failed,all of them.
ReplyDeleteBray delivering quite the sexually charged promo with "eatin and beatin"
ReplyDeleteSo is Taker going to win? Or is he going to go through a bunch of Manias paying the Streak forward?
ReplyDeleteThe New York Knicks were en route to their fifth straight loss last week against Brooklyn when a frustrated Tim Hardaway Jr. screamed angrily, "Get the rebound!''

Maybe Bray can sing a different song, like Venus.
ReplyDelete'HE'S GOT IT, OH YEAH BABY, HE'S GOT IT, I'M YOUR VENUS, I'M YOUR FIRE, YOUR DESIRE!"
I think the ship that has sailed is Brock meaning anything for buyrates and business and making new stars. Fuck him, take the belt off of him and beat him like a drum on his way out.
ReplyDeleteCarmeloLosesLol
ReplyDeleteCarmeLoLoses
ReplyDeleteI really wish cameras followed this team around.
ReplyDeleteOh that would be great. So much turmoil for such a pathetic and disappointing team. I expected them to be below average but not this terrible. Carmelo is not the guy for the triangle.
ReplyDeleteI've seen people sharing images of people jumping off the one of the Twin Towers with a caption saying "This is why we were torturing people".
ReplyDeleteI feel sick looking at shit like that.
There was more in the article about how they all hate the triangle and think Derek Fisher doesn't care. A trainwreck in ever single way
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of Bray/Taker, I can't wait for Taker to totally no sell the crab walk.
ReplyDeleteThey're going to fist fight on court eventually. I can feel it.
ReplyDeleteYour description of the event is funnier than the event probably was itself.
ReplyDeleteYou worded it like a middle aged white news anchor dancing around what was said lol.
These aren't my words, but thanks anyway. It's copied and pasted from an article
ReplyDeleteBillionaire Ted.
ReplyDeleteOr he'll do the great exasperated look of disbelief that he will do when someone kicks out of something. Imagine Bray kicking out of a Tombstone by bridging into a crab walk.
ReplyDeleteHAHA that's even better!
ReplyDeletedoes he want to talk turkey?
ReplyDeleteI love the fact that the Knicks players are regretting getting Woodson canned.
ReplyDeleteI thought MagnumDA was going to give us an Open Letter To: wnyxmcneal today.
ReplyDeletewhen was the last time they had someone they actually liked?
ReplyDeleteApparently the storm hitting San Fran tomorrow is so huge that our boss gave us the option of staying home Thursday. That said, I'll brave it for the $100 payday, because EVERYBODY's GOT A PRICE!
ReplyDeleteBillionaire Ted was mean-spirited as fuck.
ReplyDeleteStorm time! Gotta grab some ladies and bring them down to my bunker. And they can't say no. Because of the implication.
ReplyDeleteHe could make the sit-up spot into a headbutt on a crab-walking Bray.
ReplyDeleteMaking a bunch of volume shooters conform to the triangle under a rookie head coach may not have been the best plan.
ReplyDeleteJesus, what has happened to WWE TV production this year? There have been more snafus and fuckups this year than in any other year since the early 1980's. Did Kerwin Silfies secretly quit? Because this kind of shit would have never happened under his watch.
